The only reason I moved here because of Margret, she is such an amazing person that made me feel like I always already at home. She is my favorite person in the building because she genuinely cares about people, I know that personally because not only when we were touring the place but she made sure to understand want we wanted and who we were a people. We were looking at other places and Margret is the reason we moved here. Without her we wouldnt have found our perfect place that we love! Please make sure you ask for her when you are touring! We love her!
Lived at 700 Central for a year in a one bedroom apartment700 Central is a beautiful converted loft apartment complex. The brick and original rafters really add character to the units and common spaces. The building itself doesnt have as many units as surrounding buildings, but that was a plus as there were many familiar faces.+Unique space with high ceilings and original/updated fixtures+HUGE gym for an apartment.+Location is walkable to many things in Northeast+Friendly staff and neighbors+Roof deck is great-The apartments in the 4 story part of the building are definitely more desirable. After initially touring both, itd be hard to choose a unit in the 7 story building over the other.-Not quite soundproof, you can hear through walls and floors-Some of the finishing on the floors could be updatedOverall, small gripes for an otherwise great experience living here. The staff - Sam and Margaret are great people, go and give them a visit if youre thinking of renting.
Nice place. Units have little lighting but great spot.
I toured this place with the property manager Corey Harris and had the best experience one could have touring. This man really knows his stuff. I wrote info down on four different layouts before I got there and he showed me each one plus two he knew I’d like and he knew everything from sq ft to price of every floor plans. He even greeted all the residents we passed by name...impressive. Talking with a couple smokers from the building, they love it here, they love the property manager and all the work he does to make the building great, and they could deal without a couple nuisance residents, but what building doesn’t have them. Definitely signing with Corey next month.
This is a review is based on having toured multiple apartments in the NE and Downtown area. Not a review having lived in 700 Central. My feeling is that for the comparable price or maybe SLIGHTLY more you can get nicer apartments in the area or downtown. Although depending on what you are looking for this could be a good place for you.We toured this place and the public spaces were fairly nice, but I felt the actual apartments which we were shown were not well designed. You just have to see it for yourself but that style may be your thing. We toured what they called a 1 bedroom which actually is an Alcove but was priced as a 1 bedroom (comparing to other real 1 bedrooms in other apartments). An alcove is LIKE a 1 bedroom but an alcove does not contain a window in the bedroom; its a slightly larger studio with essentially a division. It really should have priced as an alcove not as a 1 bedroom or should not have even been shown to us as a 1 bedroom because it simply is not. That was probably the biggest turnoff and reason we didnt take the place.
Since moving into 700 Central, we have found this community to be very accommodating. The amenities are fantastic. All of the common spaces are neat, clean and welcoming. The apartment itself was spotless upon arrival on move in day. Corey, the property manager has been a huge help. He is responsive to emails and always welcomes us as we enter the building. The employees that work for 700 Central appear to take pride in their work and the other tenants are polite and attend to all current guidelines of the complex. We had high expectations moving into 700 Central and those expectations have been met.
I have been living at 700 Central since May and it has been fantastic. The apartment is outstanding, I really enjoy the exposed brick walls and concrete floors, as well as the rooftop patio. The property manager, Corey, has been amazing to work with. Corey, was super helpful every step of the way and goes out of his way to help out. The superintendent, Mike, is great. I had submitted a work request late in the afternoon, and before lunch the next day Mike already fixed the problem. Highly recommend 700 Central.
The new manager, Corey, is excellent. He gets back to messages and was quick with assistance with paperwork. Corey gives it a personal touch and makes people feel welcomed by, he remembers names and faces.
I lived here soon after it opened and really enjoyed the location and the amenities. The building was cool and well and I really wanted to like my apartment, but there were two big problems: The recording studio next door was so loud I could make out the lyrics to what was being recorded. My window was also leaky to the point where there was a draft in my building all winter. They installed plastic over the window because the historical letter wouldn’t allow the building to replace it, but the air leak was so strong the edges of it would burst open. I sincerely hope these problems were corrected as I otherwise would have stayed living here longer.
Ive only been a resident of 700 Central for 15 days now and I can honestly say that I couldnt be happier. The leasing agent Cory is great at what he does. I reported a few minimal issues with my unit upon move in inspection and they were taken care of promptly. Maintenance has been a pleasure to work with as well. If youre looking for an apartment with an industrial loft vibe, a touch of history, and a fantastic staff then 700 Central should be high on your list!
Let me start by speaking about the manager of this property, Corey Harris. This person has gone above and beyond since he took over his role at our complex and he has done a fantastic job, especially given this pandemic. Corey has always responded promptly to emails of any concern, been there to help solve any issues we have had with our unit or the building, and is always beyond friendly to interact with. Furthermore, Corey has taken time out of his own day, past work hours, to help us more than once. It is oblivious that he cares about the residents here and wants to ensure they are happy without being the overbearing landlord that I have experienced at other apartment buildings. Overall, the property is great and has a very homey feel inside the buildings and units. The property is well maintained and the security features are appreciated. All in all, 10/10 would recommend!
I couldnt be happier to call 700 Central home and thats in no small part due to Corey Harris. Ive lived here for about a month and a half now, but in that time have had countless questions and a couple minor requests. Corey has always been so kind, professional, and responsive - not to mention knowledgeable. The building is great, but to be frank theres a lot of great options in the cities - Corey is what makes this place stand apart from the others in the area. Its evident he seriously cares for his residents, the community, and keeping our building looking nice. Thats rare so I wanted to give a shout out/the recognition he deserves. It doesnt go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated!
The team and responsive timing have increased by a high margin. Im glad to see the positive changes that have been made and its great to see.Shout out to Samuel Kolbow!😃
I have lived here a little over a year and have loved every minute of it. The staff is so attentive if I ever have a question or have a maintenance request. There is a parking lot for my guests - which is unheard of here in the city. The building is gorgeous! They did a great job with renovations, while keeping the original character of the building. I highly recommend 700 Central for anyone looking in NE Minneapolis area - its close to everything.
I recently toured this property and fell in love! The history behind the building is fascinating and the property manager was very friendly. I enjoy how modern the apartments are and the rooftop community room was my favorite amenity! If you are looking for an apartment in the heart of NE this is the one for you!
Great location, clean facility, and great maintaince staff.
Great
Lovely historic building in the Marcy-Holmes neighbourhood. Friendly staff and great amenities, not to mention incredible access to public transit and restaurants. Couldnt imagine a better place to live!
We lived there for a year. Would not recommend at all. The building is old and we could hear EVERYTHING from our upstairs neighbors. The worst part was that it was not even cheaper than other places...
Gorgeous builidng with great amenities!
Expensive, but a very nice place to live. With all the high rises being built the view from our building might be disappearing...
Love the layout and feel of the unit.
Had an appt to see this place with someone named Ben. He was a no show with no explanation then or later. If that is the level of service provided, Im glad I found a great apt somewhere else!
Cool
