This nail salon is very clean and the technicians are personable. Great experience. I will definitely be back.

I saw a few negative reviews about this place. However, that was not my experience. I just moved to Middletown, I broke a nail pretty badly, and I called not knowing if I needed an appointment like a few other locations, and they were able to service me. My nail tech was Amy, she was efficient and friendly. Really loved the hot stone leg massage at the end of my pedicure. I’m now a customer.

Very dissappointed. I made a 1:00 appointment for a gel manicure. I arrived at 12:55 and was told my tech was finishing a pedicure and would be right with me. After about 7 or 8 minutes I see her come out and sit a client at her nail station. The receptionist said she was finishing up a client. I could see that she was starting a manicure so the receptionist checked in again with her and yes, she was doing another service!! She said that I would have to wait. I did not have time to wait so I left. The manager apologized but nothing from the nail tech. Very unprofessional.I am new to the area and am trying to find a good nail salon.

The work they do is great, but every time i go in there the price changes for the same service. I get a natural nail, gel polish manicure and last time I was charged 43 dollars. Thats the price of a full set..... first time was 32, second time was 36 so i dont know -shrug-

I love this place and have been going for about three years. I see Chanel for gel manicures and gel pedicures. She is the best. She is Very sweet, professional and efficient. Prices are competitive with those in the area as well.

BRUH, if i could attach pics! I got a gel manicure for a wedding i was in on wednesday (im writing this on sunday). The nail tech guy who did my nails was sneezing and rubbed his nose ungloved prior to touchin my hands. Then he proceeds to TEAR MY CUTICLES UP claiming that mines are just so thick. I was in pain until yesterday and left the salon bleeding. When i told him hey im bledding he just shrugged it off. Today my skin is peeling back and my cuticles look atrocious. Ive been applying antibiotic just to try and avoid infection. The two star is based purely on the fact that my bro and i got pedicures here a couple weeks back, and they were nice as well as the ladies who performed them.

Had a great spa gel pedicure. Experience from start to finish was professional and I felt she took her time. My feet look and feel fantastic!

This place is absolutely disgusting. The past 3 times i’ve been there - i’ve never left happy with my set, yet i’ve never complained and asked for money back - i’ve just given them another chance. They’re always uneven and the shaping looks like a child did it. The last time the tech was using USED tools on my nails - which is why I did not return. After going to a new salon and having a new set put on - there’s fungus under 1 nail. I called and spoke with a female manager who’s completely ignorant and told me i’m lying and there’s nothing she can do, besides give me a discount??? Fungus acquired from a salon and she wants me to return? Oh, then hangs up the phone. After waiting a month for the manager to give me a call back - he never did! Anyways, go to De’Coco- they’re amazing and CLEAN - and also know how to shape a nail!

When I made my appointment I was told I was booked with a certain individual but when I got there it wasn’t even her day to work and was given to someone else. The pedicure was ok but she destroyed my nails. I always get liquid gel fill and my nails were cut so short and uneven. She kept trying to shape them and filed them all the way down. I walked out with uneven very short nails. She wasn’t even nice when I told her they were cut too short and uneven. The gel was put on super thick and the polish looked like a child did it. Never ever will I go back to that place. Now I have to go to my usual salon and have a full set put on.

This place is terrible DO NOT COME HERE!! so rude and charge way to much for just a simple acrylic set. they were not patience or professional i will never come to this salon again!!!! the finish product was not worth the money i do not recommend this place trust me save your money!!

I’ve been going to this place for 5 years now. Always had good customer service. Very clean shop. Always happy with the service, no matter who I get. Jasmine is the best person to make an appointment with for your eyebrows. I have never had anyone do better. Her quality of work is perfect. They truly care about their customers. Highly recommend!

My experience here was excellent. Jazmine who does eyebrows does an amazing job everytime I go. She is very professional and she takes her time at what she does... I recommend anybody to go to Jazmine for any eyebrows.

So I needed a refill last minute, I used to come here ALL the time. I stopped because of this exact reason why i will never come back. 3 hours for a refil... THREE. Im not even going to get into details of what went wrong... If you have long nails do not come here. They charge for every little thing $5 extra dollar to “shape” my nails when they were already shaped,So youre telling me a refil doesnt include you filing my nails ... charging me extra when she BARELY shaped them. She was nice. But I will NEVER come here again. Its my birthday by the way and i just sat in a nail salon for 3 hours for a refil .....

This salon does not value your time. You can make an appointment but don’t think they will actually honor it. 30 minutes later you will still be waiting

Wow! Amazing! Talk about being pampered! The dip manicure is such a great price. They did an amazing job she got all my cuticles, did an amazing dip job, massaged by shoulders, massaged my hands and was so friendly. The environment is so pretty and relaxing, I will definitely be back! Thank you!

I got my nails done by Vinny, at first I noticed the paint chipping. No big deal, I can fix it myself. 9 days later 2 of my nails broke off by simply letting my daughter hold my finger and taking the Christmas tree down. Then today a 3rd nail broke off, because I was cleaning something off of my slipper, so in 10 days I’ve had 3 nails break off with no force or pressure. When I called the receptionist she tells me that since I didn’t call about it within the first 7 days, there’s nothing that they can do, Even though my nails didn’t break until 9 days later. Then offered to have me come back in and pay for them to be fixed. Any other time I get my nails done at a different salon they last at least 3 weeks. It’s just cheap quality at a high price.

Ana does such a great job on my natural nails. They do a great job of catering to all nail preferences and choices. Color selection is vast and clean.

Absolutely love this place. I’ve been coming here since it opened and I am never disappointed! Rose and Vinny are both incredibly talented, kind and funny. I enjoy seeing them and their work is phenomenal. I highly recommend this place.

Im not one to write a review on a business, however I am so disappointed in this place right now ! When we walked in the door we were told it would be a 20 minute wait. We even left and went to the grocery store, we were back within 15 minutes, when we walked back through the door the girl at the front said its going to be a little bit more of a wait, okay an hour and Half later the girl says you guys are next, I say to her how long because my daughter has to be at work, she said not too much longer, another ten minutes and I say to her you should really be more honest with your time estimates because we have been here for an hour and 40 minutes past the time you told us and we could have went somewhere else and been done by now. She said well I thought they would work faster because they saw how busy it was in here ... Really ? Work faster and do crappy jobs? They lost two customers today - my opinion - be honest when people walk through the door, give them the option to decide if they want to wait for two hours, or go somewhere else, instead of lying to get them to stay!!

Our $59 pedicure left less than desirable results. Both my mother and I visited Tropical Spalon to enjoy an afternoon of pampering. Although the nail technicians were very friendly, their work was subpar. Paint remain on the skin surrounding our toenails, very poor job filing and cleaning up cuticle area. Overall unhappy with the sloppy paint job and mediocre foot massage. For $70 with tip, we expected to be pampered, not disappointed.

Great salon BUT the front staff needs to do a better job getting clients into seats. Appointments should trump walk ins but they sit you in the pedicure chair to wait and wait and wait. Not sure I will be returning to this salon as I am tired of wasting time waiting when I have an appointment.

I walked in and the place was packed. I did not have an appointment but quickly ushered to the back where my daughter and I received the most wonderful service. They offered us drinks and we were truly pampered. The staff was young and SUPER friendly! We saw them out in the community the following week and they remembered us. So I took my other daughter back and they noticed the first daughter had chipped her nails so they fixed them for free!!! SUPER friendly kid place! I am sold forever!!!!

I went in and was helped immediately which is great. I got a full set and regular french tip. It looked gorgeous when I left the salon. Then I looked more at my nails and they were uneven. Two days ago my acrylic on the right pinky snapped in half when doing laundry. The people are nice, but i’m sorry I just don’t trust the quality.

My friend treated me today to a pedicure so I cant comment on the prices since I didnt pay. The salon was clean and comfortable. It was busier than I expected but we were seated in our pedicure chair after a short wait. I loved the leg massage and pedicure. My only complaint is that when my large toenail was being trimed I got a small cut. The gentleman who was giving me the pedicure immediately apologized and attended to the cut. Besides the cut (which really could have happened anywhere) a wonderful experience.

The quality of work was awful! Fast fast fast type of quality. Not sure Im going back, maybe the guy that did my nails was the problem, Im hoping the other staff do theyre job better! Not impressed at all.

I went to many nail salons but this one had got to be the absolute worst. I went for a refill and a pedicure; waited almost 30 minutes for someone. A lady came over and I showed her the design I wanted she said no someone else will be over I guess she couldnt do it. 30 minutes later the guy comes over showed him what I wanted and asked if they had the colors, he couldnt understand anything I said. Bottom line didnt get my pedi the way I wanted and the refill turned into a full set which he kept telling me to do. I got charged a ridiculous amount for a pedi I dont like and my daughters nails full set was supposed to have a student discount. DO NOT BELIEVE THE DISCOUNT PART LIES. They charge you for everything even the so called coffin shaped nails he talked me into extra charge that he failed to mention, arent even coffin shaped. Then another charge because he refused to cut my nails shorter when I got the bill I realized why, another charge smh. Dont do too this place they dont know how to do designs they charge for every little thing and dont even discuss prices as they upsell.

I spent almost a hundred dollars on a gel mani and pedi that chipped and peeled within days. Also, the tech cut me multiple times and got the gel all over my skin and didn’t remove it so i ended up peeling up one of my gel nails. Completely disappointed.

I really liked my nails they are very professional and Lee did my nails I loved him. I have tried many other nail salons and after a while I got tired of my nails or my nail would be messed up. I know this time around I’m sticking w tropical nails!☺️

I went here a good amount of times and i always go to the same girl named rose. She is really good at what she does but some of the others not so much. The first ever time i went there one woman was so rough and did not do a good job, i left there with my nails hurting so bad and she drilled too much down at the top to where it looked like i would need a fill, but again it was my first time getting nail extensions so i didnt know any better. One day one of my nails broke off so i went in to get it fixed, rose wasnt working that day so i just decided to let whoever was there to fix it seeing how it was only one nail. When i walked in to get it fixed there was a bunch of nail techs sitting in a circle chatting, not a big deal it was a monday and they were slow. I told the girl i would like a fix of my broken nail and she said okay. I man told me he was going to fix it and told me to sit at his station. I sit down and he starts trying to slide a fake nail tip underneath my hard gel extension now. As someone whos been studying cosmetology for four years i know that is the incorrect way to do it because not only does it hurt soooo bad but it damages your natural nail more than it already is. So he tried prying a fake nail and a small nail file underneath it but then he got a phone call. He takes the call and is on it for about 5 minutes all while trying to pry under the nail. I kept fidgeting and pulling slightly away because it hurt and thats not how i wanted it but i guess he was too busy on the phone to notice. Once his call ended he weny back to prying and i told him that i wanted him to drill it down (like he is supposed to do). So he drills my nail down and glues the extension tip on. Now after the put the tip on thats when they file to its shape you want, i knew this so all i said was “i would like it a coffin shape” and i should tell you this was THE FIRST i ever spoke to him because he was busy on his phone and made no effort to conversate with me. He then goes to say something along the lines of “i know what to do this is my job”. Mind you i wasnt rude i was actually polite about it and used a very quiet almost whispering tone. So after i just sit there and he gets a phone call again only this time it was for ten minutes and he needed to stop everything he was doing and just get up to take his call. All while there is a bunch of free nail techs chatting it up who could have done my nails. If you are busy and need to keep taking calls you should let your other coworkers take care of the customers. I almost got up and asked someone else to do it but he came back and finished before i could make my decision. The finished product was good, the nail was a little thinner than the others but nothing bad at all. The service however was horrible and thats the last time i went there. He was rude and did not have good customer service. I am not one to complain this is actually my first bad review ever, at the end of it all i just paid for my service i did not tip him at all. Which is something i dont do because i understand its how they make their money, but that fact that i was there for twice as long as i needed to be because he was talking on the phone, he doesnt know how to remove nails the proper way, well that was just too much for me especially since the prices are jacked up way too high for the service to be so horrible. If you go here i suggest you ask for rose but as for SOME of the other people i wouldnt go to them. 2/3 of the nail techs i went to there just did not do a good job

Went here because I had a gift card. Only wanted a gel manicure and they charged me $50 !!!! RIDICULOUS !!!! I called to asked the manager why it was so much and I was pretty much told oh well we already have your money, There’s nothing we can do for you.. You lost a customer for sure!! BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!! And my nails are rough on the ends TERRIBLE JOB!!!

The price menu is confusing and the price listed is not what you pay. For the most part the work has been okay, but its very shady that they dont list what is included with their full sets for clarification.

I had my first experience here today and I have nothing but positive things to say. I had Hieu give me a mani-pedi and he was so personable, kind and easy to talk to. He’d continuously ask if I was ok or if I needed anything. 10/10 would recommend to my friends and family. Definitely coming back for Hieu!

Poor quality pedicure and when I asked them to fix the bubbling paint she just put another top coat over it. NEVER AGAIN!

This place is WAY OVER PRICED!. I went in yesterday to get my acrylics removed, a manicure and pedi. I left with portions of the acrylics still on, and had to pay an extra $20 because I had gel polish on my toes! I have never paid $50 for a pedi EVER! NEVER going back.

Quality was very poor. I got an acrylic full set and they are barely even on my nails!! The fake nail is cut very uneven and crooked. Super disappointed with their job.

I went there for the first time this past weekend just for fills and when I went to pay I thought it was pricey, just looked at my receipt and was charged for a full set and never asked for a full set nor did she put on new nails, wont go there again, thats what I get for not sticking to my normal place.
