I am a senior and a first time customer. I was very satisfied with the technician giving me a pedicure. She was efficient and caring. I needed a cough drop and unknown to me a gift card fell to the floor. The next day I was frantic trying to find it, as a last resort I called the shop. They had my card and after they were sure I was the rightful owner returned it to me. I am very grateful and appreciate honesty. I will definitely use Onyx in the future.

I highly recommend this place. I moved to the area a little over a year ago and have been a client since. They are clean and the shop is so cute!! They always deliver amazing results and exactly what you ask for. I would not go anywhere else!

I took my friend here for some pampering before she has her baby. It was our first time here and we were so pleased. The staff were friendly, kind, and patient. I felt comfortable here. Thank you for letting us stay in the massage chairs chatting for so long after our pedicures! We left feeling refreshed. A basic pedicure is only $35 dollars and we felt that was a great price for the service. Thank you again. We look forward to our next visit.

I am always happy with the results of this place! And Tony is hilarious always trying to make people laugh 🤣 the last time I went in he drew Japanese water art on my nails just from a picture! They will really do whatever you want!

This is the absolute worst experience in a nail salon I have ever had. I took my 14 yr old Daughter and her Friend for her Best Friend’s Birthday.I had a pedicure while they had acrylics.I had an Appointment. My Daughter’s nails looked terrible. By the time we got home her thumb hurt. It took her over a day to remove the acrylics.They looked horrible. My pedicure was ridiculous. The girl was rough, rude and extremely condescending! Funny because she was being nice to a lady and her Daughter next to me who happened to be regulars (I overheard their conversation).I got home and later on that night my left foot and leg were sore, red(really red),hot and inflamed and I couldn’t walk. I was really concerned. I called my Husband who wasn’t home and he rushed home. I was contemplating going to the ER. I elevated my leg and ibuprofen. The next day it was better.This place seemed dirty beyond belief. My Daughter was across the room. She texted me several times how the male employee was rough. No gloves and had a scab on his hand. Horrible experience! I paid $184 dollars to get abuse and stress. Never again. Stay away. There are many better options.My Daughters’s nails were crooked. She has a tiny nail and they were thick and bubbly. It looked beyond Terrible. And for $64

The salon is always clean and the owners are super nice. I’ve never had issues with long waits beyond my appointment time and they’re always willing to try the crazy colors I come up with. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 because even though they are measured and compared to each other during the service, some nails somehow end up being shorter than the others and to me, it’s noticeable. Others don’t see it unless I point it out.

Really great experience today getting a mani pedi. I got a dip on my nails for the first time. Looks great. It was very clean and the staff was very sweet and kind. They allowed three of us to get services done without a reservation. It was so fun.

I came here for a walk in pedicure and manicure both with no chip. I requested French for both my toes and nails but was told my toe nails were too short (I looked at them afterwards and didn’t understand). Anyway, during my pedicure it was a nice relaxing experience except when she decided to remove my toe jam and wipe it on my toes… I’ve received several pedicures in my day and never had my toe jam (so gross) been wiped on my toes themselves. Usually they wipe it on the towel underneath your feet. Then she placed my feet back in the water.. with toe jam on them.. honestly just unpleasant. I then had told her white and picked out a color that I thought was white with shimmer.. it turned out very gold and unappealing but usually they ask if the color is ok before going further. I wasn’t offered this option however I will take responsibility that I had picked it out.We got on to the manicure where I was filed and filed and filed and filed. She buffed the top layer of nail and made me bleed in the process. Then filed my thumb nail down to where it actually hurt. I was left feeling very upset and uncomfortable. The overall application of the color is nice although it did bubble. When I was about to leave the man who checked me out told her to put another top coat. The French on my nails are decent.Overall I don’t think I would go back.

It was my first time going here and i was disappointed. Half of my acrylic nails fell off in less than 1.5 weeks after getting them done. i have been getting my nails done for years and have never had such a poor quality acrylic set. the nails on either hand did not match in length and shape. also charged me the highest price for my nails when i didn’t get the highest price acrylic set.

I received both a manicure and pedicure. Both were done very well and I am happy with the way they turned out! The salon was clean and I appreciated the different payment options that allow you to save 10%. My only complaint is they definitely were rushing to get me in/out. Would still recommend and go back.

I use to pay $35 here for my acrylic nails plus tip but now it’s $50 which is weird today i got ombré with crystals and paid $80 including a $3 tip because they didn’t cut my cuticles and it messed up the look. but i’ll be going back lmao.

Onyx always does an amazing job and gives me exactly what I want! The dip manicure with Nicky was the best! It lasted a long time. They are always friendly!

After reading some harsh reviews, I was hesitant to try this place out. I was overall pleased with the final look of my nails and they were very willing to accommodate any suggestions I had. Plus it took about 40 minutes when my normal place takes an hour and it was a little cheaper. Also love that they’re open on Sunday’s!

Theyre being careful to follow Covid-19 precautions and are very polite and courteous. Would definitely go again.

I took my daughters here to get their nails done. The nails look nice but they burned one of my daughters fingers during the process. A daughter of friend of mine also had her finger cut accidentally when she got her nails done here. They seem to have a number of regulars that go there as a few of them came in while we were there, so they must be doing something right, but I dont think we will be back.

Great atmosphere but wasn’t thrilled about how my nails were done. I Switched to KC nails and even my guy friend said they look a lot better. And they’re $10 cheaper for a much better job! No more screwy lines on my cuticles. The male worker there even hurt my nails taking my shellac off was way too rough.

Really wasn’t happy. I never had a Dip Manicure before. A friend gave it to me as a gift. Probably should have kept my novice status to myself when asked.Did not push back any cuticles. Nothing other than a quick Emory board to even up and sort of shape.No hand lotion.Not a lot of TLCPlace was almost empty, so maybe a few extra moments could have been taken. First and last time going there.

What kind of data base do you have and what kind of information can you possibly have on me when you give me and everyone else a discount for paying CASH, and I don’t even get a receipt from you.And did you check your cameras for a employee in a white t-shirt and a black pair of shorts? I never saw her before, but that was who I saw UNWRAPPING A BAG OF USED PARAFFIN AND DUMPING INTO A MACHINE. Why didn’t she just throw it in the trash? You never mentioned not seeing her on your camera.I’m sorry that you think my review was non constructive, but my review was not to better your business but it was written to alert consumers. Therefore I will also be writing a review on yelp.And no I have no interest in meeting face to face with you. I would much rather spend that time reporting your business to the BBB. You are better off saving that meeting time for the department of regulation and licensing who can help you with proper business conduct. I go there because it’s close to my house even though I usually always have to wait a while because they never have enough people working, and also there is an employee there that always does I good job when she works on me.After seeing what I saw yesterday I will never go back to onyx again. I was heading to the restroom and I was able to see straight into their break room and saw an employee unwrapping a used bag of wax and dumped it into a machine. I know what it was because I paid extra for that wax before. They talked me into getting it because it’s supposed to make my skin soft! I feel CHEATED and DISGUSTED that I paid extra to have my feet put in a bag with other people’s dead skin. I will never go back!

The entire staff at Onyx Nail Lounge was friendly, offering an inviting and comfortable atmosphere, as well as refreshments, and many different services. They can customize services based on your preference and have a wide variety of nail polishes and gel products. I took my grandma there for Mothers Day and she had a wonderful time getting her nails done. We both got gel polish which was applied without grinding down the nail bed and looked very neat and professional.

I love this salon. I find the staff to be friendly and down to earth. The owner is very concerned about customer satisfaction. Be sure to make an appointment so you are not dissapointed by having to wait.

Then I found Onyx.I was in shock at some the complaints like being frustrated you have to wait because you don’t have an appointment.....That’s basic common sense if you don’t have an appointment you’re going to have to wait.Then to hear the person complain about how much the services are, while the prices on the menu our base prices so if you ask for anything at all extra it’s going to be more and you should probably ask how much it would be extra. To spend that much money in the salon for all four of you is not that much oh and I not leaving a tip either you’re cheap, have no class, tacky and You clearly think Way more highly of yourself than you should. I would love to see you try to do their job.

Kim took good care of me. I needed acrylic nails removed and a gel manicure done. Sure made it as painless as possible.

Ive been a few times but last visit will be my final. One day after my pedicure and one big toe appears to have an infection. Its painful and oozy (gross I know). Please sanitize all tools after EVERY customer, this is unacceptable. My other big toe has some dried blood in the corner, which couldnt have come from anything other than the pedicure. I flinched a few times during the pedicure as the technician was much too rough and the blood is proof. I hope they start to have more staff since theyre clearly rushing or simply tell people theyre booked for the day.

When I asked for nail art (triangles on 4 of my nails), the male nail artist was visibly annoyed. He rolled his eyes and asked me multiple times are you sure? The nail art turned out poorly--he only did one coat so its very translucent--and I still got charged $47. My friends nails also turned out poorly. The employees were clearly in a rush to close the shop and wanted us to leave. Wont be going back.

The service was terrible. They charged more than what it said it their menu Dip powder manicure was $40 they charged $47 dollars and did not massage, remove critical, exfoliate or even put lotion. My daughter did it want the design so they charged adult man pedi for a child. We spent $271 for four people and received the worst services ever. NEVER GO TO ONYX !!!

I very bad costumer service they dont smile at all! Its expensive and the work they do is not good i came home and removed the manicure! It was such a bad experience it was my first and last time! I went with my friend to have a fun time but we got harassed and make fun off when we talked to the owner it was worst the owner of this place has no respect!

I have now been using Onyx Nail Lounhe for about 5 months. I have tried several other nail places on the west side/ Middleton and none of them come close to Onyx. The color selection is incredible, they take their time and they make you feel welcome.

I went there for the first time and had a great experience. I was able to make a same-day appointment on the weekend. I waited less than 5 minutes upon arriving, they were ready for mine and a friends mani/pedi. They did not try to push additional services or upgrades on me like many others in Middleton and Madison have. The establishment was very clean and well-decorated. They offered drinks and snacks. The nail tools were packaged individually and and there was a plastic bag in the tub, so they took that out after every pedicure. Everything as very sanitary. The technicians that did my pedicure and manicure were friendly, but didnt force us to talk or make us feel uncomfortable. Very reasonably priced too, $50 for a basic mani and pedi. You also get a 10% discount if you pay with cash. My pedicure lasted 2+ weeks but my manicure did chip after about 4 days (non-gel). So I would try the gel next time. I would still recommend this place! Keep up the great work, Onyx!

Beautiful modern atmosphere and super friendly staff. I love that they have complimentary beverages and the menu for various types of specialty pedicures. The only thing that could add to it is if they had mixed cocktail/mocktail/wine drinks to go with each pedicure (as another nail bar I’ve been to wasvery similar but had this)We had great conversations with one of the ladies. I love the little gift shop corner they had with lotions and such. They had a great color selection and all new chairs-very quiet. 2-cons that I will mention is, it’s always ackward when the staff has conversations in another language in front of you. However, by the end it mattered very little because they were super friendly and we had nice conversations together in English. And the other would be, the woman who did my pedi was a little rough with the hot stones over my ankle bones.But she did a super amazing job on the art on my toes. I’ve never had artwork done so well. I loved it. Everything else far outweighs these things and overall we had a great experience and this will be my go to spot.

Should have stuck with my saying that a man never does my nails right. Had a guy start working on my hands and completely messed my nails up but had an attitude/hearing problem when I told him from the beginning he was messing things up.

Hmmmm. I arrived on time for my 4:00 pm appointment and was told to pick a polish color and then wait at the front of the store. About 10 minutes later, a woman led me to a chair and had me sit with my feet in some tepid water, saying that someone would be with me soon. I sat there for 20 additional minutes and finally had to get going, scruffy toes notwithstanding. No one seemed very concerned when I left. Maybe they are still getting into the swing of the business, but it seemed rather disorganized.
