Fishing with Mark The Shark was some of the best memories I have made. He is a true professional and is a blast to spend the day fishing with. My father has been a charter captain for 50+ years and when I told him I was going out on a charter with Mark he said Mark is the best at what he does and he was absolutely right. Highly recommend chartering with Mark. Runs with the best mates as well!!

I do not recommend this place at all! we had to pay extra because some other people didnt show up and he tried to grope my girlfriend. he treats the animals very disgustingly. One of the most horrific experiences I have had in my life.

Be careful booking with this man, he took our $600 for private charter then added another person. He said accident but did not discount the trip. Once we were out at sea we were able to catch one small fish then the added 3rd person took over 2 hrs to catch a fish. We then came straight back in and not one time did he act like this was anything but his normal way to take people money. We were still charged the full $600 on top of bait money also. Which was double charged to us. We paid cash on boat to the man and then he charged the credit card extra for bait. Total scam and not a trip i would recommend to anyone else. Just be aware.

Awesome experience with Celebrity captain Mark The Shark. We used to only go with the guys to catch everything from Tuna, Mahi Mahi to sharks. Boat is very special and every trip is a thrill!!! Last few times we went out with family and kids and it was even better to watch our little one catch his own fish and the crew teaching everyone all the tricks. Mark is a legend and the mates are great, cater to everyone as if we were on a 120 Mega Yacht.

Booked a trip for Mar. 24th, 2021 with the famous or (infamous) Mark the Shark. We were very excited and should have read reviews and some due diligence beforehand.Charged us $700 for 5 with another couple on board. Took us out 2 miles, which was fine after bait fishing for about a half hour. Stayed in one spot the rest of the 5 hr trip and never caught a thing, he even said after an hour with no bites that he should move and then asked him an hour later to move. I was a gentlemen about it and we were very friendly and talkative the entire trip. Never tried to bicker about the 700 and gave him his cash on board as soon as we docked, even tipped his crew. On top of him never moving from the same spot for 3 hours or more he took video of our kids sleeping/tired/nauseous and people making all kind of terrible comments about them on his i.g. account. Asked him very politely twice to take it down and will not respond. Save your money and time and stay far away from this scammer, jerk!

I had a great experience. The crew taught me how to fish and reel in very well. It was an overall amazing time being out in the sea. Mark is a great guy and he educates people who come on his boat about being out there in the sea, the type of fish that we catch, and how does the gps location work out in the sea. Mark The Shark is the man! Went out, caught early morning Bonita, 2 solid sized kings, a 7ft sandbar shark, black fin tuna, and a 80lb sailfish. His mate Ryan is on top of the game, fresh baits at all times catch fish.

Mark and Ryan were absolutely fantastic on our trip. My son Jonah had the time of his life. He caught a large Hammerhead shark and Mark provided the service of donating the shark to a local food shelter. It fed over 100 people! If you dont think this Captain is first rate, you dont know fishing. Ive fished and chartered with various captains all over the world and none are better than Mark. Together with his able first mate, Ryan, this duo is superb in finding game fish for their clients. Ive been out with them twice and both times we boated (and released) sailfish and big sharks. This is the very best fisherman in Miami and one of the best there is on the planet. I had two of the best days ever out fishing with them. If there was a rating better than 5 stars, theyd get that from me. I highly recommend them if you want to experience offshore fishing at its best.

Hands down. Worst charter experience ever. Mark the shark was not even the smallest bit interested in catching a fish that day. We drove around in the same spot for 3 hours. His mate set the poles up and baited them. And checked the bait ONE TIME in a 3 hour period to find out that our bait was gone. Basically was a $800 boat ride. Didnt catch one fish. I swear when I tell you not 1 fish. And it seems like mark the shark was totally fine with it. No compassion. Not interested. Didnt care. Catching fish that day was probably the last thing on his mind. I personally think he dont catch fish anymore and he posts old pictures on his social media. Hes a fake. A fraud. Save your money. And your time.

Sometimes you have luck finding fish...sometimes you dont....but when you have MarkThe Shark and Ryan taking you out, you can be sure that you are gonna have fun, and if the fishing gods are smiling, you will be too! The seas were choppy and we thought we might get skunked...then BAM! It hit!!Mark found us this Monster and made sure that we got him in the boat after a 50 minute fight! They were patient and professional and terrific at teaching us how and when to do what. It was an Amazing experience. Fish safely brought in, tagged, photographed and released unharmed, but tired from the fight. Great Pics! Great Fun! Great Experience! Great Captain and Crew. We will be going out with MARK THE SHARK again for sure. Very fair price, great boat and professional nice guys....Aside from catching 10 more if these, I cant imagine how it could have been a better day out. I just wrote a detailed review on a popular travel site about an amazing time with Mark, but I feel the reviews on here are completely unfair. I have never had a worse fishing experience. The captain was no captain. He sat up with his son who took most of our good seats the whole time. He didnt make small talk didnt seem like he cared. We got put on one fish the whole 8 hours. The cabin had NO A/C like stated. So when some of us got a little queezy we expected to go sit in an air condition cabin which ended up being 100+ degrees! The bathroom was RATTY and stunk like piss! We were made to piss in a bucket and dump it over board! Even though we had to pay 1000$+ for this trip! It sucked the captain was a joke he brought his son who can fish any day with his dad! The FIRST MATE was the only BRIGHT SPOT of the trip he helped with everything and answered every question I had asked him with ease! After we got back to the dock the captain disappeared and was no where to be found didnt say thank you good trip NOTHING! I would never go back to mark the shark and I would recommend NO ONE WASTES THEIR HARD EARNED CASH! If you want a arrogant captain and to pay for your own bait and not catch much then I highly recommend this boat for you! Thanks again to the first mate for putting me on that one shark and making the trip. As for the captain you run a horrible business and you should quit false advertising!!!! Did I mention we got one shark about 50lbs and the captain and his son were talking about keeping it before asking us if we wanted it! Needless to say we paid 1000$ for this one little shark.. I need to stand up for and defend Marks ethics. I booked a private all day charter for me and my father to go out on September 6th, 2014. In late August 2014, we found out my father had pancreatic cancer (when he was barely sick nor showing symptoms really) and he was literally given 2 weeks to live. This was less than a week before our reservation with Mark the Shark and fell outside of the refund/cancellation policy. He was very professional and courteous on the phone and cancelled my reservation for me. He immediately refunded my deposit when, per his contract/policy, he did not have to. Additionally, he didnt even ask for proof of my dads illness, he trusted me. My dad did tell me before his death (on September 9th, 2014) that he was so disappointed that he didnt get to do that fishing trip with me and Mark the Shark. I plan to go fishing with Mark in the near future when I plan a vacation to Miami and catch something special to honor my father. Thank you for your professionalism and your ethics Mark. Doesnt get more ethical than that in my book.

DO NOT USE THIS CHARTER. Mark took me and my family out December 22nd 2017 and STOLE FISH FROM US. The charter started three hours late because his deck hand didnt show up and then we didnt catch anything until the last hour or so of our charter (because of poor conditions according to Mark). When we did start catching fish we started pulling up several slightly reddish colored fish with a black spot towards the top of their backs. Marks immediate response to seeing this was, BLACK SPOT, EAT NOT!!...VERY POISONOUS!! (we have this on video btw) With each subsequent fish of this kind he would remind us of how poisonous the fish was and had his (replacement) deck hand throw them in his live-well..allegedly to be used as shark-bait later. We wound up catching about 5 or so of these fish, two of which were very big.The next day my brother noticed a post on Marks Instagram of a picture of our five allegedly poisonous fish on a cleaning table with his son in the background. The picture came with a caption that read WHATS FOR DINNER TONIGHT? After looking into it we found out that what we were actually catching was Mutton Snapper, a very prized and extremely edible fish. In the video we have of my brother catching one of these fish you can actually hear his deck hand say, mutton on a chicken-rig! Which i now unfortunately know refers to the type of line set-up they had on that reel as well as the fish we actually caught.We obviously dont know anything about fishing and he took advantage of that fact. We have attempted to contact Mark about this have been unsuccessful.

Where to start... I called Mark to book a 1 person walk on trip. I was 17 at the time and couldnt afford anything more. When I arrived in the morning, he told me that I booked the entire boat and would have to pay for all of it. I was outraged and disappointed at the same time; eventually we agreed on taking the boat out with just me for a discounted price (way more than I wanted to spend). Long story short, we spent most of the time catching bait for his afternoon charter and spent very little time actually trolling. I completely agree with other reviews, he may be a good fisherman but that doesnt make him a good person; you should avoid this guy.

I booked two boats with mark and an hour before my reservation he calls to tell me one of his boats wasnt in service.I had12 people booked and apparently you can only fit six people per boat so I had lost my reservation.He still charged me a full 2500.00 for the two boats and I didnt even use one of them and now he wont give me my money back or respond to my phone calls, emails, text messages... this guy is a joke... whatever you do dont give him your credit information over the phone.

My boyfriend got sick on the charter boat because hey sea sickness happens!!! The boat captain took photos and posted them on his Instagram business account calling him a p*ssy and saying derogatory things about the fact that he got sick.Bottom line of you think you might get seasick avoid this guy. I have not fished with this guy. All one has to do is view his instagram account and see his idiotic photos and hashtags. He recycles the same photos and videos to make it seem like hes always into the fish. The douchebag is strong with him. I even saw a vid where he happened to net a kilo of cocaine floating in the ocean. What are the chances? 100 million to 1 maybe. Read the reviews on this guy and noobs beware.Also read the Florida fishing regulations, one vessel cant take more than two sharks. Shouldnt be killing them anyway.

WORST experience ever. I called him and booked a charter for a male bachelor party. Told him we werent much into catching sharks, but instead wanted to know if he trolled for sailfish, dolphin & wahoo. He said yes, that was no problem. Then he told me that he would have waters on the boat, we needed to bring our own food and alchohol. And that he would have 2 girls in bikinis serving drinks if we wanted. And I said yes. Morning of the charter we arrived, and the girls he had was a 4 year old & 6 year old. Most of the guys have kids, this was supposed to be a weekend away from kids and now we had 2 that hung out with us on the boat the whole time. So it made it awkward for us to drink infront of them and have fun. He pulled up to a bait boat and made us buy our own bait, usually when I go on charters the bait is included with the price. The captain didnt have 1 bottled water on the boat, we brought a pack of small gaterades and the children, first mate & captain drank most of our drinks. He never once tried to push himself as a captain. We drifted, and I again reminded him we didnt car for sharks, he told me This is a shark fishing boat. While we were fishing he was posting pictures and videos up on his instagram page saying how great of a day he was having offshore Miami. We asked to go back in early because we were tired of sitting. We got to the dock and he told us charter was $1200, but we paid $1000 because we mentioned we followed his instagram page. Then we mentioned how on his site he gives discounts to firefighters & police force, having one of each on the boat we pulled out proof, and he DIDNT give a discount at all, and even though we came in at 2:30 instead of the full day, he still charged us for a full day.

He does not react to comments in any way, considers himself a star. I did not provide any promised photos and videos after fishing. He took 2 captured tuna to another boat, assuring that the tuna is not edible. Horrible service. Money down the drain.
