Great crew, very helpful and nice. Not overcrowded. Sometimes many people caught fish at the same time, but they did a great job keeping up with baiting lines. All around great time. Would highly recommend bringing plenty of drinks and snacks. We look forward to coming back soon.
* Please know Ive written at most 5 reviews in my lifetime. DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT use this group as your deep sea fishing excursion. This was a disaster and a complete cash grab by the company. As youve seen from other reviews, they are completely fine with repeating a bad experience as long as they receive cash up front. Our boat had 25 people that were all forced to fish on one side of the boat, causing lines to tangle instantly. We fished for less than 45 minutes because the boat was always on the move - and in addition, 2 people on the entire trip caught 1 single fish. The captain seemed more intrigued with his own fishing goals than assisting the customers on Waynes (owner) boat. Since we didnt want to make a scene, we still tipped and politely pulled attention for our experience - but the captain rebuttaled by stating that he does this 365 days a year and we didnt know what we were talking about. (Please take in mind we take many deep sea fishing trips and I was with a group of 7 - $500 trip- We arent complete idiots). After the entire trip, I wanted to bring awareness to Vickie who booked us and she apologized, mentioned that she would talk to Wayne but never spoke to us again. After follow ups, we still have not heard back from Vickie. Please beware, as reviews are misleading and you will not be happy with what you get from this trip. They take advantage of tourists and have no accountability towards your experience. I advise to look elsewhere.
Great crew. Although short one deck mate, Hector and the boat captain worked hard at getting the boat on the fish. My three areas of disappointment was there was about forty people on the boat and it was a mess with lines getting tangled. Being down one mate caused a delay in getting the lines untangled and worst of all my grandson and me didnt get any fish. All and all we had fun and my grandson said he enjoyed it. The smile on his face was worth the trip. I dont remember the captains name but kudos to him and the boats mate Hector. One man down and they did there best. Im giving a 4 star rating only because of being short handed.
One of the worse fishing trips Ive been on ever! they had everyone fishing on one side so they dont have to anchor. they tell us to drop all the way down to the bottom but had us drift fishing with light weight so the line can never reach the bottom so nobody is catching fish other then a few guys that brought their own poles (with heavier weight) . they whole crew including the captain is to busy fishing and not worried about any one the customers. when i asked for a heavier weight a crew member said they are not allowed because it causes lines to get snagged. then not even 5 minutes later that same crew member goes and Riggs his pole with heavier weight and starts catching fish right next to me immediately. wouldnt recommend this charter at all!
Incredible fishing experience...the captain even jumped in to help my 8yr old son! What a day of fun and sun and fish! A few dead spots bur overall got a bunch of fish! Hector is a lot of help tip him well!
Definitely a great experience with my DAd. It was our first time fishing in Miami Brach and both the captains we had made us feel right at home. The experience was personable and thrilling. My father is 72 and needs to hold the rails often to stand and hold his reel but the captain made sure he was in the corner of the boat so he could balance himself. Out of our 8 days in Miami Beach we went on 7 trips!
Captain Wayne and crew were knowledgeable and very helpful. Maria is the best! Reward fleet office worked through a miscommunication with our reservation and made our trip work. Brought home some king and tuna after a half day trip. Great time!
The greatest fishing experience I ever hadNice and professional crew they now what they doingThank u all
Let me start out with worst experience ever. I would give this a 0/5 if I could. One of the crew members, a Hispanic lady, would condemn anyone on the boat about not knowing what they were doing. There were children and adults of all ages and skill levels trying deep sea fishing for the first time, which they advertise. A red snapper was caught in which this hispanic lady gaffs and then claims that no one on the boat caught the fish. At the end of the day, her petty self only fileted it for a tip. Money hunger driven with no integrity. Steer clear of The Reward Fleet, only reward youll get is a sour mouth, sore thumb and a feeling of guilt because it was a scam. Go somewhere else! Even if its at a discount which they often advertise!!!!!!!!
Amazing customer service. They took care of my kids while I was busy trying to keep my lunch down. They went to multiple spots to make sure we would have the best possible chance of catching fish. If you want to go deep sea fishing, pick these guys.
We booked a private charter with the Reward Fleet for a bachelor party. Capt. Wayne showed us a great time. The crew was awesome, friendly, and professional. As was the office support. Vicky was prompt, funny, and thorough. Could not have had a better experience start to finish. Would highly recommend. Will definitely book again.
Good boat ride for $30! Youll have a smooth ride and u see famous peoples houses
Unsafe unsafe unsafe!!!Went out Saturday aug 31st on another reward and the capt nearly drifted right into a recreational boat that was anchored near a wreck. The recreational boat tried to let the captain of “another reward”know and he went insane. Another reward literally chased the recreational boat around for about 5 minutes as they were trying to retrieve their anchor line with the float ball. It was the most unsafe thing ive ever seen. The capt of another reward stopped chasing after realizing he was about to run over the floated anchor line and didnt want to risk getting it in the prop. Never again. Alot of us lost hooks in the anchor line and the capt cares more about his hurt ego then putting us on fish.
Fiancé and I had a blast on the fleet! She ended up landing a nice King Fish and the captain walked her through reeling it back in. Crew was extremely helpful and you could tell the passion they had for the work that they were doing. Thanks guys!
I believe nice area to walk around in while in Miami Florida.
I just want to thank the Reward Fleet for comforting my boyfriend after he became sea sick due to his vertigo. The captain was awesome - periodically coming by to talk to him/comfort him and I cannot thank the awesome staff enough. Great job guys. Its a bummer that we couldnt really participate but their attentiveness was out of this world. Keep it up!
The iron man trip is the best fishing charter in south Florida for the money. You always get your shots at some quality fish. Captain Wayne is a legend I’ve never met a captain that’s more friendly or passionate about fishing. He care about two things catching fish and having a good time and he does a great job at both. Thank you captain Wayne for some great trips hope to see you soon and catch some more WC’s
Let me start by saying I am beyond disappointed. The boat had no water to wash your hands and the toilet did not flush and no hand sanitizer. But it only got worst. They are quick to ask for a mandatory tip up front for our party of 5. If it is tip why is it mandatory? Now I do not have a problem with tipping. But it is they way they forced it on us even before we even got on the boat!Another issue, they did not have heavy enough botom rigs on our rods for us to catch fish. The entire boats rods rigs were floating.Only 3 fish were caught all morning because of it and two were not keepers. When you asked for more weights for the rods they ignored it. We even ask to change rods and did not want to.I watched the deck mate sit an watch three lines tied up and did nothing! They made us all fish on one side of the boat because they knew the weights would float and did not want to re rig all the lines so we can fish. Oh! the heck with social distancing! It was one of the worst fishing charters I have been on. It may be good for others and that is fine for us? Never again. If you ever read my reviews I try to be kind. I could not for this one. I really hope they get it together. We came to Miami to catch fish and though we understand sometimes there are bad day on the ocean. We had a terrible time simple because they would not change weight.
The crew was nice and helpful. I just feel like they just to many people on the boat for the number of people that where fishing so they couldnt really help you out. We never caught any fish or did we have one bite. I understand its not there fault we were just hoping for some. Next time I would pay alittle more and get something that was alittle more one on one.
This was FANTASTIC! Staff was wonderful, fishing was great. I would highly recommend to anyone if they are in the area!!
Garbage is not useful is wasting money, it does not serve you. and the bait is rotten🇨🇺💪🇨🇺💪
Experience was not the best nobody even caught fish no one was catching the captain never moved spots that makes no sense when there’s no fish you make a shift instead they spent an hour at the same spot when no one was even catching anything Listen I know some days people don’t catch But he definitely could’ve put in a much better effort and the lady on the phone was rude she seems very grumpy and sometimes even didn’t want to help her customers on the phone I don’t know if she realizes like I am not the only one saying this my cousins call to make a reservation and she just starts yelling at them for no reason like she’s done this to me on the phone with me too which isn’t very nice but this boat maybe sometimes could be very i’ve been 2 times One of them I caught because that trip the Captain put in a much better effort on This boat it’s very risky if you will catch or not I’m not really sure if I’ll be back it’s a 50 to 50 I’ll think about it but huge thanks to the mates they were really nice and worked hard and helped me.
Nobody answers the phone to take reservations. Purchased a groupon weeks ago and after weeks of calling they told me they are not having any boats out this week. Vicki was very rude and unprofessional
BEWARE!! Soo... the thing that caught me off guard was us having to tip at the beginning of the boat trip I got a phone call from Vicky saying that we needed to do a mandatory tip $75 I was really NOT ok with this at all. I asked why wasnt I informed of this in the beginning she said just like a restaurant you pay a tip but the thing is a restaurant you TIP based on the experience and AFTER the trip and you pay what you want to you dont have a set amount already set to pay off $75 BEFORE you even sail off! We couldnt sail if the tip was not paid even though we had pre purchased tickets! I thought that was NOT good and if we knew that we wouldve been added that in the trip budget as we came from NC. So that caught us off guard. Second, the boat rocks really hard out there so be prepared the staff was OK though and the boat owner captain Wayne he was really funny he kept us laughing. My sister and I got sea sick though and threw up so just make sure you eat and have all that done because I didnt eat anything and just went on the boat so thats a No No.. but other than that it was OK. My first and last experience itll be.😒
Terrible experience, we sat for an hour while the crew fished for live bait. No instruction when we got on the boat. All 20 or so of us were placed on a single side of the boat ( cramped space during Covid ) which meant line tangles galore. They drifted while we bottom fished. Of the 20 of us, around three fish were caught in total and they seemed to all be the crew’s catches. The crew were using live bait that they had caught during our first hour and we were using dead bait. Not a single bite on our dead bait provided. Don’t go on this boat if you want to catch fish. At one point a crew member began to clean the boat, asking us to move from our seats while the trip was still going!! The crew were not very helpful at all. Did not enjoy at all.
We had an amazing time, lots of fun ! Very nice and helpful crew!
Terrible terrible terrible! It all starts from the woman who takes the phone calls! Books a trip for me and then tells me I didn’t book it! Asks me if I’m a Groupon buyer or not! Who cares?!! Why sell discounted tickets for $10 cheaper and complain and discriminate against your customers!!!? Never again. Don’t waste your time.
I have fished here many times and its always a great experience. Mr. Wayne is an expert with vast knowledge, and his entire crew is by far the best team in South Florida. I have been on every other charter and I am not going to bad mouth anyone, but The Reward is the best in the game. Everytime I fish with them I see how driven to customer service every staff member is. My favorite part is that they love putting people on fish. Its the best experience for the money spent and 9 out of 10 times you will always take home fish. All captains on The Reward are experienced and love fishing so youre always guaranteed to learn something new. I recently took my brother in law who was down from Texas wanting to fish, and he was really happy I brought him a long to meet David and 1st Mate Logan. Wayne, Nilza, Bernie, David, Steve, and Ryan are all amazing captains just to name a few, and a safe fun fishing adventure is what you can expect every trip. If you want your rod to bend and your reel to scream, look no more....... The Reward is where its at!
I have gone fishing twice on the reward from bayside at night time. I have been on many others party boats from key west to Miami and to be honest I have no complaints so far. The captains make the impossible to put you on fish. The mate is always ready to assist you when you need help. My last trip was on Wednesday March 31 at 8:00 pm trip and the captain that night really try his best . Even on full moon, anglers hot yellow tails and mangrove snappers. I went ready for bottom fishing but no vermillion were bitting. I had a great time and so did my neighbor that night. Looking forward on doing it again. Captain and mate really try and I appreciate that .I also want to say a few worlds about Vicky. She is a sweet person . Every time I call she is always friendly and answers all my questions . If she is not available, she returns my call ASAP. This is the kind of people that makes a busses be successful. In general I will like to commend the staff at Reward Fleet. Wayne you have the fishing fleet and best crew in Miami.
Waste of money!! Took forever to get to the spot to throw are poles in the water for 10 mins then told to reel them in to move to a different spot throw them out for 20 minutes and be told your moving again but really just went back to the marina. Spent more time moving around then actually fishing, very disappointed. I would like a refund but we know that isnt happening!!!
Captain Wayne is a great guy and great fisherman. Mate nilza is always on point. Every time I go I have a great day out on the water!
Captain Wayne Conn and the Reward Fleet run the best all day bottom fishing charter in South Florida. His all day Ironman trips, which cater to experienced bottom fishermen looking for deepwater bottom fishing and jigging, consistently deliver results. You wont find a captain and crew that work harder to put you on the fish!
Hi everyone, I really enjoyed how this young lady explained everything about the famous peoples mansions, congratulations!, I see that you really like your job. If you see this girl with kind of purple hair you will enjoy your afternoon in Bayside.
Every day a morning and an afternoon 5 hours fishing charter. Nice crew. If using Groupon be sure to RSVP 24 hours prior.
Captain Wayne and crew were amazing! Great trip.
Fun and kid friendly time in the bay! We have no fishing experience and the staff was friendly and very helpful!
This was such a great experience. The staff was very helpful and nice. Definitely knew what they were doing, almost everyone in our party caught a fish. Saw a few pelicans that landed right in our boat. Even saw a manatee while pulling into shore. This was alot of fun and perfect for your first time out deep sea fishing. Thank you to the wonderful staff. 🙂🙂
Beautiful weather and calm water. Bad service and bad customer experience. This was my and my wifes first time salt water fishing. Our reels got tangled a couple of itme and the female deck hand was incredibly rude and made us feel stupid. She raised her voice at my wife and complained loudly to another deck hand. We also saw her shout at other customers. The boat is very crowded and you can only fish on one side of the boat (see photo). Lines get tangled very often and it is inevitable according to one deck hand. My wife caught a nice king fish that the crew fileted for us.If we go salt water fishing again we will get a smaller boat that has a more professional crew.
We went on a weekday recently and there were only three other groups on board. Everyone caught something. Me and my partner are very inexperienced and caught 4 snappers and one other fish. They filet it or just clean it for you amd they do it beautifully. The crew member and captain on our trip made the experience even better offering up encouragement, tips, and excited congratulations. Would recommend for the experience and tasty fresh fish!
Everyone was very friendly and I had a blast! I am not a fisher and had trouble with casting and knowing how deep to let it go. They helped me figure it out and we had a blast catching fish! Only downfall was the seasickness because I forgot to take my motion sickness medicine
Please, READ CAREFULLY!!!Whats really was making me sad that the Cap and his co-worker was stilling our fishes 2 times. We been COUNTING them all the time CORRECTED.This is was one of the main reason why we decided to go 2nd time trip the same day afternoon.Total amount we catch ( for me and my 2 sisters ) was 24 fishes, but what we got was only 16. So we didnt get 8 of them which is %30 of the total catch 😡This make me feel very sad while Im taking my vacation in Miami.Hope, they not gonna do the same to other people. Thanks,
I got 2 pieces of very dead bait and caught nothing! Beware of this boat!
Although we didn’t book a trip I spoke with karen who was absolutely amazing g to speak to. She was very helpful and offered us to honor the Groupon pricing.
Poor customer service. The lady on the phone was extremely rude and made us miss our boat. We arrived 50 minutes early for our 9am departure and called to verify location because we couldn’t find anyone. She said just wait by the dock and they’ll be there shortly. After numerous calls and no response we got a call back 5 minutes before 9am with the lady having an attitude saying don’t keep calling and then said they weren’t at 300 Alton Rd anymore when it’s listed on their website and we weren’t going to make it. Extremely disappointed with the customer service of this company and misinformation on their website. Would not recommend.
20 people on boat, not single person other than crew caught a fish. They caught them while we were trolling from spot to spot. 4 hour fishing trip, my line in water total of 20 minutes. Waste of money, waste of time.
Started late. Did not take us out of the bay, and refused to give refunds, because he was money hungry. Lousy fishing charter. Never again!!!
Great charter! Boats crew is very knowledgeable and helpful, we catchend much more fish than expected.Thank you guy’s!
The woman who spoke with us about scheduling & payments was extremely rude 😒 no customer courtesy. The crew tried their best but were really understaffed. I had to do everything for myself. I baited my own hook, untangled lines, & took fish off my hook.
Wow what an amazing experience. Between my wife and I we caught about 25 fish. Crew was polite, attentive, and caring. Wouldn’t recommend anywhere else to fish Miami.
This charter is a rip off! We were a large groupof 9 and were charged 15% gratitude at the beginning of the trip even though we all paid separately. When we arrived the women assisting the captain gave us a look like we were to many people and asked the captain if he thought it would work if we boarded. The money hungry owner over booked the charter and the whole time everyones lines got crossed and stuck together. We would not have boarded the boat if we would have known that we were all going to fish from the same side. We were all shoulder to shoulder. Very crowded! The captain made up excuses that we didnt catch anything because of the current. The day was a beautiful windless day! It wasted a perfect day of our vacation. Very disappointed. I would not have left any tip if I had been given the option. Definitely do not recommend!
Terrible experience. I cannot even explain how bad the trip is. First off you are crammed to one side of the boat, and honestly for the crews convenience. I asked why we couldnt go to the the other side, and the guy made up a fake excuse about the current. Then we caught NO FISH. NONE. The fishing rods were rigged with light weights that couldnt even reach the ocean floor. We basically just had our bait dangling in the ocean, while the captain had the boat just floating and following the current. No one caught anything in 4 hours, and at that point you would think the captain would want to satisfy his customers and atleast go to a reef to catch SOMETHING, but nope. Save your money and go to another place that actually cares about customer experience.Staff was also super passive aggressive towards the customers, acting like we had to serve them. One guy was smart enough to try and rig his rod with a bigger weight that he brought because the light ones they give u dont do anything. THEN the captain proceeds to verbally attack the guys saying that he was an expert and what he was doing was wrong and basically just shaming him for trying his own thing. If it is the customers choice to fix his rod then let him do so and stop attacking them. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE.
The quality of service and fishing is no longer there, this place has become a zoo. I’ll try my luck elsewhere, where the deck hands speak english and help you catch fish rather then themselves. This is the day “drift” trip, to my surprise this same deck hand comes out at night with her boyfriend and fishes some more on a spot reserved to the highest bidder. $20 dollars for a stern spot.. The new captains are terrible, from crashing into pilings at bayside to screaming and reprimanding you and yanking rods out of your hands, and putting you on no fish. Add insult to injury this same captain tells me I can only have ten snapper, then sells $70 dollars worth of fish in front of me (about 15 snapper) to someone who caught more than ten already and then pockets the money. So the rules don’t apply if you have money to pay for the fish you’ve already caught. If that’s the case, they should say it before you go and spend $100 for the trip plus parking for ten snappers. I don’t know what happened to this place, but I’m not coming back and neither are my people.
Amazing experience and very friendly crew. Definitely going back.
Patrick was awesome. We didn’t catch anything but still had a great time. Good bachelor party afternoon. Our bachelor successfully threw four of five bait fish to seagulls. Highly recommend.
Had a great time today. Yes, there were a lot of lines but the crew sorted any tangles quickly. You guys should sell t shirts, we would have brought a couple :)
Terrible boat there’s a new captain now said he use to drive couple years back I been going on for years never heard nor seen him needless to say his name is Marty super rude and grumpy old man there’s a Brazilian lady by the name ginelza that works as a mate she’s super rude and fishes more than she works the owner Wayne needs to fire these people and hire professionals theres another mate on board on the night trip that smokes weed all night and has the regulars helping out people more than he does I been going for years but I won’t waste my time anymore GOOD LUCK FOLKS
Its cheap. The crew is nice and helpful. My father and I caught no fish but the boat did catch a handful. The WORST thing tho, sooo annoying, is that one crew person fishes off the back while were moving all the time. The boat is stopped for 4 separate fish, a total of 30 minutes wasted, while the entire boat stops and waits for this one guy. Hes the only guy with a line in and the boat stops for him, wasting everyone elses time. Why is he allowed? This was actually ridiculous.
Had awesome time with this guys! Went on night fishing with them. The atmosphere was great, crew members were helping us with everything!Highly recommended✌️
Its a fishing boat! No guarantees that you will catch a fish but the crew works hard and does a great job trying to help 20 people at once catch a fish. You are guaranteed a great view, friendly service and a good time for a modest price. For the haters, pay more and go charter a private boat and then compare.
I love this boat. We only go on the night trip. Ryan and Bernie make the trip a great experience even if the fish are not biting. I have never left empty handed. I have taken at least 15 different people from out of town and they all say it is the best fishing trip they ever had.
We had an awesome time despite not catching a fish! The crew are the professionals so of course they are more likely to catch fish, but we enjoyed visiting different spots on the water and seeing if anything was caught. The crew was really friendly and even let me reel in a huge fish despite not having caught it on my line. We plan to do the night trip tonight. I recommend!
Excellent experience been out 3 times at night Bernie and the captain are great. Put you on the fish. Price is great. Go fishing and have fun. Great overall.
The reason they call it fishing and not catching is because you sometimes return home empty handed. It usually has zero to do with the Captain and crew. They try their best to put you on fish but there is no guarantee. That said, I have never had a bad trip with these guys catch or no catch...and I like to catch. They are very helpful and attentive and do their best to make sure you have a good time and that you catch as many fish as possible. I recommend them highly and hope both pros and novice will try them out and above all HAVE FUN!
DO NOT DRINK BEFORE YOU GET THERE IF YOU ARE PREGNANT DO NOT RIDE, besides that it was a GREAT trip we caught fish they take you to great spots, one thing is make sure you get your OWN bait otherwise you wont get the good stuff the regulars will take it, you can enjoy the boat ride but have your man get your bait in the back. The captain and mates are a great help they are constantly around to help and very knowledgeable about the fish your targeting and the ones caught.
Boat nice...lunch place Largo too rushed bird poop on tables squirrels and birds on chairs tables..tuna salad good...buus ride wouldve liked more miami history...patrick a good guide.
Decided to try our Reward Fleet on the backside of a work trip. The told us they had been catching king Mackerel all week so we thought we would give them a try. The boat “Another Reward” was in ok shape and they brought 3 deck hands and 1 captain. We were told only 15 people were on our trip and we showed up and it was 35.... When we went out the Captain would let the boat drift forcing us all to fish off one side.... thus forcing 1000s of line tangles where most people spent their time all day. For the 5 hours we were out, the whole boat only caught 10 fish. I think we had low numbers because we would stay at a spot for 30 minutes even though we were not catching anything. The Captain should have moved upon seeing that. There was only 1 of 3 good deck hands on board and he was doing the brunt of the work. One deck hand in particular sucked, balled white guy. He would cut peoples line when they were tangled, never tie on a new hook and not re-bait them. On the way back he almost got in a fight with a customer when they called him out on it. He spent the majority of his day drinking beer and on the way home was smoking marijuana(around children). I won’t be returning nor recommending this place.
The woman assisting the captain is very personal and nice but other than that waste of time and money. The money hungry owner over booked the charter and the whole time everyones lines got crossed and stuck together. 2+ hours and only 3 fish out of the 20+ people on the boat. The captain made up excuses about currents and crammed us all to 1 side of the boat. Had the audacity to still say they worked for tips. Definitely do not recommend!
First time fishing and the experience was awesome! I highly recommend the Reward Fleet for expertly guiding all aboard and helping hook the lines, keeping everyone happy and everything was clean and orderly!!
It was wonderful first time I caught these. Im going back
The crew was great nice to talk to. I am a avid sportsman that understands good and bad days of angling. However there was 20+ people on board 1 fish was caught. My expectations for a guided tripwas greater then that.
Good
Spent 4 hours in the water and no one caught anything. Only during the last few minutes did people start catching. At that point we had to leave. In total. Only 3 fish were caught.we spent 3 hours untangling lines cause they put all of us on one side. Dont waste your time. Get a private charter.
Excellent time. Caught a 8-10ft NURSE SHARK. So wild
I wish there was a 0 rating. Hands down the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had to encounter. We have never been to Miami, and paid for a fishing tour to get to see the waters some. We could not find the location, and After calling the phone number listed 6 times and being ignored, we finally found it. We showed up at the dock before 9AM (start time) and the captain/owner was 10ft from the dock pulling off. The booking agent called him and told him we were there (@ 8:57AM) and as he turned around and saw us he said, and I quote: “sorry. No I can’t turn around. Things happen.” I would NEVER recommend this awful treatment of customers to ANYONE. Sad excuse for a business.
This is the charter boat to go on five star ratings from Bait Em up Bait and Tackle@bait_em_up >>> We approve this message!!!Captain Ryan and First Mate Bernie. Keep up the good work.
Captain and crew are awesome. My haul. Caught a mutton snapper but unfortunately it wasnt legal size.
Possibly the worst fishing experience I’ve had in my life. We were out for about 5 hours and nobody on the boat caught a thing except for the same couple staff members who were using a different bait than what was provided to us. With the exception of 1 or 2, most of the boat crew was overly obnoxious and clearly not concerned for the experience of all the paying customers aboard the boat.It was my girlfriend’s first time ever fishing.. and it was truly an awful experience. She’ll never want to go out fishing again after this
Fantastic fishing experience. Pepe and Wayne were awesome guys. We caught King Mackerel and a slou of species of fish. We used LIVE bait and full Spanish sardines. Anyone who has been party boat fishing knows this is unique. NO GRUNT FISHING. I will return when I make it back to Miami.Just a side note you arent guaranteed to catch a fish on these boats. Lines being tangled is almost ALWAYS user error.
If you are looking for a job as a deck hand, this is the place for you. You will catch a lot of fish, have a blast with your buddies and will not have to concern yourself with the customers. Highly recommend! On the other hand, if you are a paying customer looking for a fishing trip, I suggest dropping off your resume here, then head somewhere else for your trip.
Have enjoyed fishing on the Reward for many years. Though there were days and night that there were no fish. Then a gain other times it was a ice chest full of snapper and lots of king . Tight Lines
I went on the night charter at 8pm and it was awesome. The captain brings you to the perfect spot to where you can catch fish within minutes.
Great crew...good price....cheaper for locals though?Too many people = too many tanglesCaught fish though, one small blowfish, one small something else..We were party of 7, we brought coolers, food water, beers tooSturdy vessel, no sea legs after 4 hours at seaDefinitely recommend thanks Jessie
The crew is professional, courteous, and fun. My son and I have been out on several fishing charter trips and the Reward Fishing is the best in Miami/Miami Beach. Our lines were constantly monitored and when we hooked a fish, we caught several 20-40 pound fish, the crew was by our side to assist. We felt safe and confident with this great crew.
The crew at Reward Fleet was great, we had a good experience and everyone was very helpful. They were very knowledgeable and you could definitely tell they loved what they do. Overall, great experience.
Dont listen to the haters. I snagged myself a nice sized dolphinfish. It just takes a little fishing know how and youll rail them in until the sun goes down.
Overcrowded boat, spent more time untangling lines and heading to locations than actually fishing. Boat was full of employees but they spent most of their time smoking in the back of the boat. One employee showed up hammered and slept for most of the trip. Out of all the people fishing for 4 hours there were only 4 fish caught and none of them were large enough to keep. If you want to go fishing youre better off somewhere else.
Didnt catch anything. But had a good time
Waste of time. Full of tourists non stop tangled lines and literally a boat of 40 people will catch one bonita between them all. Waste of time. Look further south or north in Hollywood. I consistently do better off a bridge. This boat catches NOTHING not even a grunt.
They keep many of the fish you catch. Most likely to sale it to restaurants in Bayside. My wife got 5 fishes. They said that they had to throw them away. I only saw 2 fishes thrown to the water after they were dead. Even the one in the picture we couldnt keep. The only fish that they said we could keep was a very small pink fish. Just as the one in the picture but way smaller...They told another couple their fish were bloody and they shouldnt take it. Also they caught 3 fishes, and left empty handed.Another couple Catch 3 big very nice black fishes. and many pink. They kept only two pink ones. They told them that the big ones tasted bad and they should not ask for them. The first mate Leo was very concentrated with 2 cute girls and I was left with no bait a couple times. The lines kept getting tangled, so they kept cutting the lines.I will take another boat next time.If you take this boat, follow them to see what they do to your fish and you better have your own bucket so they do not get stolen by the crew.
Great crew. Good prices and a good time! The beer is even cheap! Several Fish caught.
I was fishing everyday. I enjoyed it.
The crew was amazing! on the way out to the first stop the crew members started calling out hey cruise lady. they had me go to the back and reel in a bonita. then they called my husband back and let him reel in one. At every stop the captain set up some poles for sailfish and let us know that if one was hooked he wanted to have us reel them in.I was not surprised to find that many of the customers were regulars on that Sunday 9/14/2014. The crew was so nice and patient with all the guests that we felt like we were among friends. Many of the guests caught fish on this trip. we had a great time talking with one of the crew members(the owners daughter). In fact we liked our trip so much that after our cruise got back into port on 9/18/2014 we tried to take another trip out before our flight home.
