We had a great day with Captain Orlando and it was the highlight of our vacation. We were a group of 4 with no prior fishing experience and Captain O guided us through each element and we learned a ton. While there is always an element of luck, Captain O really does everything possible to provide the best experience. In our 6 hours, we fished at multiple locations and with various fishing techniques and strategies. When the fish didnt seem particularly interested in the herring we were using as bait, Captain O had us catch some ballyhoo to use as bait instead, and we got awesome catches, including multiple mahi, snapper and bonito. In addition to Captain Os knowledge and experience, he is also just a genuinely fun guy to spend an afternoon with. Captain Orlando is great! He knows all and has so much patience even with little kids. He organized the perfect fishing trip for our family with two little girls with no prior experience in fishing. He was engaged 100% and made everything super easy for us. Definitely recommend him!

My wife arranged a fishing trip with captain Orlando as a surprise for my birthday and we absolutely loved it!First we went fishing for bait and that alone was so much fun that it could have been enough, if only I knew that it was just the beginning. We went on for several more hours and caught yellowtail, a king fish, and accidentally a shark!!The captain knew that it was our first experience, so he was explaining every step, showing everything he was doing in details and he answered all the stupid questions I had. Orlando is a real professional, so he would be a great choice for anyone who wants to go fishing, regardless of their experience!

We went out on a windy day but the trip was still a pleasant adventure! Weve never been deep sea fishing on a boat where it was just the captain (no mate), and Captain Orly was right on top of everything. We have never been kite fishing before either, so that was a very interesting first for us as well. (The trip was for my husband, my two boys aged 20 and 17, and myself.)What I liked was that he explained a lot about everything: Which bait to use for each fish/depth, how to catch different types of fish, etc. We did the 6-hour trip (perfect length) and even though its a gamble every time you go out whether the fish will bite or not, we got lucky with a few bites.I admire the tenacity with which Captain Orly sought out opportunities, and we certainly didnt get skunked! For us, the day was all about quality, not quantity. The hugest fish weve ever caught!Definitely recommend for his knowledge and drive to get us fish on the lines.

Capt. Orly is one of the fisherman that knows more about the Miami coast than any other I have charter with. The boat is designed for fishing (key west style). He will answer any question and do his best to put a fish on that line, even if it means giving some extra time. We where lucky to see a 340 plus pound Bull shark. Thank you Capt.

Had the best fishing trip of my life with Captain O. Although it was only a half day trip I managed to catch every fish species that I was looking for on the trip. He definitely knows his stuff and where to go for the fish. Highly recommend him and will be using his services in the near future again.

We did this for my sons 9 year birthday, we are both inexperienced at fishing but enjoy being outdoors. The trip truly exceeded expectations! Fish were not cooperating in the morning but our luck eventually changed and we ended up reeling in a big tuna and a beautiful snook. Outstanding experience with Captain Orlando- a seasoned, safe, and very professional captain who knows the local waters and is very patient with inexperienced customers, taking the time to share his knowledge on the finer points of kite fishing. On the day of our charter, it was sporty offshore and the bite was erratic, but Captain Orlando was still able to put us onto some fish to keep the day fun despite the less than ideal conditions. At one point, we had 9 lines down working the surface and bottom action. Captain Orlando is a class act, and provided one of the better charters that I have experienced, keeping the customers fully involved and participating in all aspects of the day (some charters hand you the rod eventually and have you reel until close to the boat).Nomad charters is in a great location for those visiting Miami with some walkable nearby restaurants around Dinner Key Marina and Coconut Grove. My father, uncle and I decided to do some fishing while in Miami, so we booked a trip with Nomad Fishing Charters based on other reviews. Boy, were they spot on! Captain Orlando was awesome! Super nice guy, and really knows his stuff! My dad and I have done a lot of fishing over the years, and this was one of the BEST trips we ever had! We caught 3 Sailfish, 2 King mackerel, 2 Bonito, 1 Mahi, 1 Mutton snapper, and a Barracuda! I would definitely book with Captain O again!

Went out with a couple buddies about 2 weeks ago on a Friday night to pass the time and catch some fish..Orlando knew exactly where to go and where the fish were...we caught a few tarpon and a monster permit...Orlando was very professional, courteous and extremely nice...it was almost as if we had known him for years. highly recommended and will definitely use his services again!also has a hell of a boat!!

Hi I am a 12 year old boy that just went fishing for 6 hours with my mom,sister, and my dad. The fishing experience with Captain Orly was top shelf. His communication was immediate, his price was fair, and the equipment/boat were fantastic. We did the 6hour trip, which I would recommend, and there were 4 of us with plenty of room on the boat. A center console is the way to go in these waters. We hit the weed line about 6 miles offshore and within 3 hours we had caught over 15 Mahi with 11 Mahi keepers on ice. Captain Orly is easy going and it felt like fishing with an old buddy. Highly recommended.

Great experience !Everyone in the group was local from Miami and fish regularly from Ft Lauderdale to Key West in many diferent charter boats. Orly was awesome he put us on the fish and he tried many different things to get to the fish, besides that he kept everyone involved in that action instead of only reeling inn (which we loved ) also shared a lot of his extensive knowledge. I had a wonderful fishing trip with Orlando. He is a very knowledgeable fisherman and a great guide. In a half day trip I went home with 8 Mahi-Mahi. It took us a short time to find the fish and then we were hot. We released more than a few Mahi, a couple large reef sharks and had a large bottom fish stolen by a Hammerhead. A great fishing experience and a ton of fun! I give Nomad a well deserved recommendation.UPDATE: Went back for a repeat trip with yet another successful outcome. Had great luck with bottom fish bringing home some Snapper and Grouper, while releasing more than a few hard-fighting Jacks for future fisherman to enjoy. The cherry on top was a wicked fight with a 7ft Sailfish, a catch and release to be remembered for the ages. Looking to make a trip annually at the very least.Youre good to go with Captain O!

I recently did a 3/4 day for my birthday with Nomad fishing charters. First saltwater fishing I have ever done and it did not let me down. Orlando defiantly knows what he was doing. He had a lot of different live bait prepared to fish different ways. We had a ton of action from 2 black groupers 2 Amber jacks 1 Bonita 1 mahimahi 1 kingfish and a shark. We also had a couple of losses on some big ones. It was a great day and I recommend him forsure.

Couldnt have asked for a more pleasent and action packed day on the water than the one some buddies and I had with Captain Orlando! Our day began with catching 2 sailfish that were released after a quick picture to fight another day and was followed up with some mahi mahi and tunas for some fresh fish at the dinner table later that night. Trully was a trip of a lifetime and am looking forward to my next trip with Captain Orlando.

We had a wonderful time. I was a little apprehensive taking my 12 year old by myself but the captain was sooooo helpful, patient, and made us feel extremely comfortableand capable. We fished with Orlando on Friday May 1 and had the time of our lives!!! In a nutshell we caught...huge Kingfish, Blackfin Tuna, Big Mahi Mahi, Bonito, Mutton Snapper and Yellow Eye Snapper.Not only will he put you on the fish but hes a cool and fun guy to spend 8 hours with on the water!!!We WILL be fishing with Orlando again on our next trip to Florida and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND you do the same.

The boat has everything you need to have, a refrigerator for drinks, a container with ice for caught fish, and the boat is very functional for fishing, there is a lot of space for moving around the perimeter of the boat. I advise everyone to take for the whole day, because 4 hours is not enough for such an amazing experience, I say this, a fisherman with very long experience in Russia.
