I am very disappointed . After being a customer for many years, and referring many family and friends, it is obvious that this dentist is more interested in money than keeping a paying, loyal client. Not being able to confirm insurance, when a clients insurance has changed, and is in a transition process, is no excuse to cancel an appointment.

Customer service is not good. I had made an appointment, and they never called, emailed me, or sent me any alerts about my upcoming appointment. I myself had to call in to verify my own appointment. On top of that after the visit they told me they couldn’t treat me because they had to do a verification with my insurance that would take 10 days. After the 10 days I called back to know the process and they said that they had sent the information electronically but never heard back from my insurance. That I had to call my insurance to see what’s going on. Never coming here nor recommending anyone to visit this office.

My experience with Towncare Dental was exceptional. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful during my visit there. Contrary to a previous post, the office manager was great to work with. She answered all questions I had with dental benefits and with an upcoming visit. I look forward to continuing being a patient there.

I made an appointment over a month ago. I filled out all my forms online right after I made the appointment. I showed up early on my appointment and was asked to fill out the forms once again. They had no record of my completed forms nor my correct phone number, however, I was scheduled. If the first line of contact cannot get the proper information, what am I to expect for my treatment. Very unprofessional practice.

WOW i was utterly impressed with the staff’s attention to the patients it really blew me away i have been to many different dentists due to personal issues but I’d have to say the way Towncare Dental of West Kendall treats their patients with such respect it really makes you feel like you’re in a safe environment, the staff, doctors and especially the office manager were very attentive and such nice people loved my experience, almost made me wish i had a cavity lol

Ive been a patient at this office for a little over a year. The best dental experiences I have had in many, many years. The staff is very friendly and respectful. The receptionist (Janet) offers great customer service via phone and in person. The office manager (Lourdes) is very professional and patient in explaining services. My hygienist (Melva) is awesome! I highly recommend her. She does an exceptional job with the cleanings. Overall, the staff is very accommodating and nice. They do not push you to purchase additional services, as has been my experience at other dental offices.

I am terrified of the dentist. I made an appointment with Towncare Dental due to needing a check up and the experience took all my worries away!! The receptionist, the doctors and the dentist assistant were all beyond amazing!! Wonderful staff this place has, so glad it is close to my house. Do not visit Towncare Dental of West Kendall location. Poor patient customer service skills. The Office Manager Ms. Ulloa is the worst. Spoke to her over the phone to schedule an appointment for both cleaning and xrays. Arrived on time, and was brought in promptly. Xrays were taken just before an uninterested gentleman walked in and introduced himself as the Doctor. He examined my teeth in less than a minute, and found no cavities and mentioned if my cleaning had gone well. (I hadn’t even had a cleaning yet) I was then escorted to the desk receptionist for a follow up appointment for a cleaning. (Hygienist hadn’t even seen me). I then explained I wished to have my cleaning done that day, at which point she said I would have to return in 3hrs. I asked if it could be done on the initial visit, at which point I was approached by a lady. She abruptly interrupted and boldly stated “Yeah I’m the office manger, and I’m the one that spoke to you, and I told you we couldn’t do the cleaning that day”. Rudely, she continued “I never said the cleaning could be today.” (I guess she’s the self proclaimed alpha female the office that all of the employees fear) They then offered me to come in at 2:00pm. I agreed and returned promptly at 1:45pm. Upon my second arrival, I’m surprisingly presented with a treatment plan print out. Cost of “deep cleaning” $574.00. They could even look me in the eyes trying to explain and justify the cost. ($1,798.00 w/o insurance). If not for nasty office manager, I would have had them do the cleaning, but the all lack customer service skills. TownCare is a large company with over 30 locations, and it’s shocking they can’t find more suitable management staff. Kendall literally has hundreds of DMDs. I found an office within a mile to do the same treatment for much less and with better attention to patients care. I’m sure the employees there will read this someday, and hopefully it brings laughs to the break room, and the office manager is reminded by her subordinates that she should treat patients with the same respect she would want her family members to be treated.PS. Notice all of the 5 star reviews after mine was posted, with everyone making mention of how the staff (particularly the office manager) are the best in the business. I’m sure it’s coincidental. FAKE REVIEWS.

I would never think I could write this about the dentist office, but I LOVE THIS PLACE! The staff is very professional and nice. They did deep cleaning and a few fillings for me. So it was my first and last time at this dentist office. The teeth cleaning was good but over-priced. They refused to perform what my insurance covered 100% and recommended a more expensive treatment. If you are trying out new places to get your teeth work done, dont bother trying these guys out unless you want to be ripped off. The main Dentist doesnt seem to want to offer you a set of options, he wants to predetermine what you need and want.

Had emergency wisdom tooth extraction here on a holiday. No other dentist office was either open/willing to take me. Doctor did a fine job. Extractions took half an hour, no pain, no problems. Called to get a quote on how much a tooth extraction was. They came with the i dont know, you have to come in so we can see and if we have to send you to a specialist. In other words they were trying to get that consultation charge and and anything else that could have gotten out of me. Mind you i already knew what needed to be done being that i have already been told before by another dentist. I was just shopping around. Every another dentist office i called gave me a range of pay.

I would not recommend for anyone to visit this particular office. My experience was just horrific. You take the time off from work to go and visit the doctor to just have x-rays done, given an estimate of the procedure and then told their is no one there to perform what needs to be done. You need to take at least 2-3 days off to get anything done at this place. What a waste of valuable time!! After seeing the doctor and being told what needed to be done, no one was in that day to perform the procedure, had to make an appointment for the following day. Went the following day and the hygienist AGAINST what the doctor had ordered was trying to get me to do something else. Her explanation was because it was against HER policy to perform what the doctor has recommended. Whos in charge? Doctor or hygienist? Where I come from.. the Doctor(the one with the doctrine right?)Im sorry to vent on this review but I had NEVER come across such poor professionalism and lack of patient care.

I completely agree with the other reviewers. This place is a total scam. I wouldnt recommend anyone come to this place unless you have pockets so deep it wouldnt bother you to spend around $500 for teeth that are fairly healthy.

I had to get 3 extractions to make space for my teeth to align. I was extremely nervous but the staff put me at ease. I was in and out and didnt feel any pain. I kept waiting for the pain to kick in as the anesthesia wore off but I got my prescriptions filled right away and took a painkiller before the anesthesia wore off as instructed and no pain. 😊

Not big on writing reviews but I felt the need to give this business the credit they deserve. Jeanette and Ivi make you feel very welcomed and always greet you with a smile. Dr. Espinosa is also a nice person and very thorough. He takes his time and explains everything in detail. I have seen 2 or 3 dental hygienist in the office, mines was Gueiler and she was very attentive to my needs. Throughout my cleaning she would ask if I was ok to make sure nothing hurt. Its been a really long time since I have been to the dentist. Like most people you push it aside or convince yourself how embarrassing it will be. Let me start by saying the office staff was very welcoming and friendly. From the moment I came in they made me feel very welcome and they got me through the paperwork very quickly. I was in the dental chair within 10 minutes of my appt and was attended to immediately. I was made very comfortable and the Dr dis not make me feel uneasy or embarrassed at anytime. He was very detailed during the exam and was very clear with what needed to be done. He disnt try to sam me or try to sell me on uneccessary xtras . Just straight to the point and the decision was up to me. I will be returning next month for my first deep cleaning and will update then on how that goes! That is the second biggest fear of the dentist. The pain.

I was very disappointed with the service I received today. I travel all the way from the Dadeland area to come to this Dentist. Dr. Espinosa is excellent and Jeanette, the front desk receptionist, has excellent customer service skills. However, today I was running a little late due to local traffic on your typical Monday morning, and I called ahead to let the office know I would be arriving 5-10min late. I finally arrive and it is 7 min after my appt time. I waited an hour to be seen and when I finally enter to see the hygenist, Im already in a bad mood for waiting so long and skipping breakfast, she asks me how Im doing and Im honest and blunt with her and she has the audacity to give me the most unprofessional attitude and tell me Well you were late and Im not going to wait around for you. So this is what blows my mind... you cant wait 7 min for your patient to arrive (knowing this because I called in advanced) so you penalize me and have me wait an hour, then give me an unprofessional attitude and expect me to let you clean my mouth?? I dont think so. I expected them to wait for my arrival and respect my appt time, I would have appreciated if the office told me they could not wait for me and to reschedule because I travel way too far to come to this office.I left and called the office to complain about my experience but they have yet to call me back. So here I am leaving a review about my experience today. Ill be looking for a more professional office as of today. And to be clear this bad experience is because of the rude hygienist. I hope they can find someone who doesnt have such an attitude problem and knows about patient care and customer service.

If I could I would not select ANY stars!!!!!!!! This place is a total SCAM!!!! Thats right a SCAM!!!!!! Do your research. I obviously did not do enough when choosing this dental office. It is so unfortunate because I really did have a great experience with the doctor himself, Ricardo Espinosa, but after my second visit I will NEVER EVER go back there again. Here it goes:I went in as a new patient visiting the office for the very first time. Once seen by the doctor and having all the X-rays and new patient procedures done, the doctor mentions that I can go see the ladies at the front desk to schedule my cleaning appointment. I was thrown back, why schedule a cleaning appointment? I thought I was getting a cleaning done today? The ladies at the front mentioned that its impossible to have had the cleaning scheduled the same day because the doctor had to examine my mouth to see what type of cleaning I would need. The exam was necessary in order to schedule the cleaning appropriately since they would not know if I was going to need a basic 6 month routine cleaning or a deep cleaning, cavities, or any other health concern that would require an hour or more timeframe for the cleaning.After the examination by the doctor, he mentions that my teeth are healthy and all I needed done was a regular routine cleaning (just as my previous experiences with other dentists). Great!I then scheduled the appointment for my regular routine cleaning. Two months later I arrive, the hygienist calls me in and mentions that she will need to examine my mouth to see what type of cleaning I will need. I mentioned to her that I was scheduled and expected a regular routine cleaning as per the doctors examination from my first appointment (after all that was the point of my first appointment, right?). Well she says, lets see... While examining my mouth I hear grunts and frustration... she finishes and says, Im sorry but you are going to need a deep cleaning you have pockets in your mouth that require a deep cleaning. One of the ladies at the front will give you the details of what the insurance covers. Okay.... I sat there confused, since I had never been told this before from any prior dentist or hygienist, and the dentist himself, Ricardo Espinosa, clearly examined my mouth and scheduled me for a regular routine cleaning, confirming that my teeth were healthy and in great condition. Does a hygienist know more than the DMD himself? Why are their examinations providing different results?One of the ladies at the front comes in to the room and shows me a breakdown of all the expenses that my insurance does not cover and will require me to pay in addition to my deductible. Interesting, over $300 for a healthy mouth.... At that moment I realized, wow! am I being scammed? Do I really have pockets? The dentist himself confirmed that all I needed was a regular routine cleaning. My teeth are healthy. I was scheduled between a timeframe for a regular cleaning it just doesnt make sense. I mentioned all of this to the lady and she says the doctor is not the one that makes the decision of the type of cleaning you need, the hygienist is. What? How does the hygienist know more than a doctor? Wasnt my first visit the reason to distinguish what type of cleaning I was going to need? Its a SCAM a total up-sell SCAM!! Please STAY AWAY!!! My mother, my father, my brother, my grandmother, my grandfather, and my husband all started with this dentist office and have all been victims of their scam. We trusted them and they took advantage and up-sold us to believing we needed more work on our mouth than what the doctor himself said. After extensive research and second opinions, we realize that this is a chain dental office that mainly focuses on sales and up-selling the customer on procedures they do NOT need. The doctor does not own the practice, he receives his salary while the others are required to meet quota in sales. COMPLETELY UNETHICAL! STAY AWAY!!!!!
