Very bad experience. I had my moms rug cleaned by Azhars and they did not dry it completely. When I finally opened it up it had large moldy spots. It was kept in a climate controlled room so there is absolutely no excuse.I called Azhars to see if they would reclean the spots and they refused saying it was impossible that there was any error on their part. I have never ever had such an issue with getting a rug cleaned in my life. Maybe the person rolling the rug dropped a drink or food on it or something. Not pleased and would not recommend for rug cleaning.

I engaged Azhars Oriental Rugs to clean several of my carpets. They were picked up on May 6th and were to be returned on May 13th. I asked them to hold them and return them on Monday the 20th as my husband was having surgery and wasnt sure of my availability. I didnt get the carpets back until May 27th after numerous phone calls requesting their return.When they were returned, I was quite dismayed to see they had shrunk my dining room rug, which was custom made, by 3 inches+ on one side and 3 1/2 inches + at the end, as well as stretching one end several inches out from the other end. When I called about this, Joses answer was to just cut my rug pad to fit!!I pointed out that my custom $3300 Great room rug had numerous hills and valleys, seeming as if the rug was tied up before it was dry, as the underlayment of the rug clearly has indentations corresponding to the twine it was tied with.I called and sent them detailed pictures of these items and got no response. I called several times and would be put on hold then disconnected. Despite this, I continued to call and politely ask when they were sending someone out to assess the damage. My last contact was to be put on hold again and after 20 minutes I called on another line and was told he was busy.At this point, it is clear they have no intention of addressing this. BEWARE, $900 later I am left with 2 ruined rugs and Azhars avoiding any responsibility for ruining my rugs!!!

The selection of the finest rugs in the world is phenomenal and if negotiated well excellent pricing. I see no reason to go anywhere else. Thank for my new rug, I love it!

Very timely pick up and delivery. Rug looks good after cleaning. Phone contact and workers very polite and easy to work with. ( Had to ask them to hold cleaned rug for a day since I had workmen and dust in the house). One suggestion - if you use them and need to have furniture moved let them know you need two workmen. Had 2 on pick up, 1 on delivery.

What a great experience for an otherwise unpleasant chore: Having my rug cleaned. I discovered Azhars Rug Cleaning Service by accident while surfing for a business that cleans fine rugs. Azhars was helpful on the phone, explained that the drop off/pick up service was included in the price of the rug cleaning. Easy and couldnt have been more convenient! I am in Naples and Jose got in touch with their driver who was on his way back to Miami from Tampa and they picked up my rug that very afternoon! Five days later my lovely (and looking like new!) wool rug was returned and laid down for me by a most helpful delivery team. I was so impressed with the service that I sent them back to Miami with another rug to be cleaned. Thank you!

Azhars did a fabulous job cleaning my four rugs. Customer service was very personable. They came to my condo and picked up my rugs. After cleaning them, they stored them at their shop then delivered to our new address. Delivery personnel were excellent. Highly recommend them.

They gave me a one hour window of when they would arrive which was great. No waiting around all afternoon for their arrival. The pick up and delivery teams were courteous and efficient. I was reluctant to call them initially thinking that the price for cleaning would be above all other cleaning rug services. This WAS NOT the case. From beginning to end the experience I had was exceptional with a fair price and great service. The crew that picked up and delivered my rug were on time and polite. I initially had some issues but after some time and patience and coordinating we got everything worked out and all is good. I didnt wish to delete my original post because it was my experience, as it was very frustrating to deal with Jose was good with working with me to resolve any issues I had and was very understanding and attentive. He fixed the problems and I have my rug back clean and nice. The delivery was delayed but only by an hour or so. Not terrible. Thank you.My original post:Terrible service and communication. My rugs were picked up on 11-25-2020 and I was promised it would take about 10days to clean and drop off. I called after a couple weeks and was told that they would be calling me to schedule a delivery. I never heard back. I called again and was promised again a call to arrange delivery and the reason why the rugs were delayed was because they had to reclean the smaller rug because of pet pee.That didnt make sense because that rug was in a closed off room and was the only rug that my pets had zero access to. Also there were no pet stains on the hardwood floor under that rug. So I knew that the story didnt make sense. Moving on I did not receive the call on the expected date as promised. I called again and I was told by Jose that he called me and left a message the week prior. That was not true I never received a call or message. I work on call in the hospital for the last 20yrs. I would know if i got a missed call. I called a third time wanting to know where are my rugs arr and if they were actually cleaned. They set up a delivery for weds. They didnt show up at the expected time frame so i called and was told they are 25mins away an hour later they show up. And four rugs are delivered. My most expensive antique Persian Kashan rug is rolled out on the floor and fills the air with a strong mildew smell. I also notice specks of what looks like detergent stuck in the rug all over the rug. I tell the delivery guys and he said to call the company. They left. I opened all doors and windows and plugged in a industrial strength fan to try to rid the carpet and the room of the smell. I called about an hour later and expressed my complaints about the rug. No refund on the damage they wont even take back the cleaning charge that ruined my rug. It smells and there is detergent still trapped all in the rug. What a nightmare. After paying $1,850 to have four rugs cleaned Im pretty upset with the outcome needless to say. So for any future victims I wanted to report these actions and recommend to anyone considering this company for service to stay away or deal with aggravation and get screwed out of hundreds or thousands of dollars.

What was great, its that they pick up and drop off anywhere in Florida which made so easy. When delivered, they were like brand new rugs. We had 11 rugs cleaned by Azhar’s. They offered free pick up and delivery. They delivered the rugs early on the promised day even though it was Christmas Eve day. They did an excellent job. The colors now are so much brighter. I would highly recommend them and I will use them again in the future.

My rug is about 40 years old and had dog urine on it that no one else had been able to clean. I called Azhars and they assured me they would be able to get smell out. And they DID! The rug looks and smells better than it has in years. The staff was nice and did exactly what they promised. I will use them again without doubt!

Service couldn’t have been better. The very, very, very old rug looked luminous when it came back. The price was fair considering that the rug had to be washed by hand. Extremely pleased with the result.

Azhar’s Oriental Rugs were great 👍 They took some info over the phone, they gave me a quote and we agreed on a day/time for them to pick up my rug. They arrived as promised and carried the rug out to their truck - So easy!! Once they had the rug in their store, they took the time to go over it inch by inch and come up with a more detailed plan for cleaning the rug, based on it’s size, materials, age and level of soil. I gave them my credit card over the phone. About a week later, they called again to set up a day/time to return the rug to me. Again, they showed up as promised. They carried the rug back in my house and unrolled it, helped to put it back in place, etc. The rug was beautiful!! The colors were so vibrant and any smells were absolutely gone. I am so pleased with their service, and will definitely call on them again!

Recently we moved from Manhattan, New York City to Delray Beach, Florida. While living in New York we purchased some fine and expensive hand knotted oriental rugs from a very reputable New York dealer. Since my wife and I were moving into a new house we thought it might be wise to have them cleaned after a number of years on the floor in our Manhattan apartment. After doing some extensive research on the Internet we decided on Azhar’s Oriental Rugs. We were concerned that they would be cleaned properly. I called and spoke with Azhar and he gave me a great deal of comfort on the phone and we felt that they were the right company to clean our rugs. We also purchased new padding for all of the rugs. We received the rugs back today and they look better than new. I was also comforted to learn that Azhar sold the same quality of rugs which we had purchased in New York. From my initial conversation with Azhar through the entire process and also speaking to a number of his employees all I can say is that we received superior service. I cannot recommend Azhar’s Oriental Rugs more highly. Their prices were fair for the quality of work we received and it was a joy to work with Azhar and his staff. Even the delivery staff that placed our rugs back on the floor were extremely concerned that everything was perfect.

This is our familys first negative review that we were compelled and pushed by the Azhars Oriental Rugs to share publicly on our extremely frustrating and disrespectful personal experience we have had recently with the owner of the business, Azhar Said and his manager, Jose. We are now being forced to engage our attorney and to take this business to court. To make a long story short, we purchased 3 rugs from Azhars back in July 2018, but they unintentionally ruined one of them, took our money and continue to refuse to issue us a refund (and we still do not have our rug or our money). When the owner finally agreed to refund the money back in December 2018, as he finally took responsibility for the mistake of his employees, we had a glimpse of hope. But, it has been weeks, and we continue to be subjected to a constant change of mind as they cannot seem to agree on what amount they would be willing to refund. The most frustrating aspect of the whole incident was the fact that they were hoping we would not notice that the rug was ruined when they brought it to our house (and we were shocked as what could possibly happen during washing process when this business actually specializes in washing silk rugs, and as we have used them in the past to wash our wool rugs with great outcomes). Then, they gave us another rug with similar pattern but a difference color (we knew they could not replace that rug as every silk rug is one of a kind) and conveniently accused us of staining it, thus wanting us to keep the rug and/or charge us for the mysterious spots that no one can explain, and we believe were always there. We finally agreed to pay $1,000 for the washing of the spots we did not believe we inflicted, but we just wanted the nightmare to be over. Then, the owner suddenly after putting us through all this run around, announced that he would give us a full refund. While we waited for our refund, we continued to give our business to Azhar, as we found the owner a likable, personable guy, who could not possibly be this unreasonable and unprofessional as he knew better but to treat a client that has purchased 3 rugs from him already and washed 14 rugs in the past 6 months (we thought he had his reasons to make us wait for a refund; it must have been book keeping). We were naive. We are now realizing that he has no intention of following through on his promise as he continues to come up with different stories. We have never been subjected to this treatment before. We also would never consider leaving a bad review to another business, as we are also business owners and know well the challenges every business owner has to face. But, we would never consider not giving a refund to unsatisfied client, least alone make them wait for 6 months. It is with much sadness that we write this review and caution everyone about the unprofessional practices that this business subjected us to, and it saddens us even more as we loved their rugs and hoped to have a relationship with them in the future. But, keeping the money for the rug we do not posses is more important to them than the relationship with a loyal client that they clearly do not value.
