Poor experience. We were nervous as we waited in line for our reservation after hearing what we did from the people ahead of us. Beware when booking online. They have numerous add-on’s (that you’ll find about when you arrive) that increase the price tremendously. They charge to rent a Sun Pass and you can’t use your own. The two options are: rent one for $15 PLUS pay the tolls separately or rent the pass for $20 per day with unlimited tolls. They also required a HALF MILLION DOLLAR insurance coverage policy for a $20k car.Once we finally finish paying, we get outside to see the beat up car that we will have to drive around town for our vacation. It was embarrassing to say the least. We were told the gas tank was full, however, it was about half full. I took photos immediately because everything was too sketchy.
If this app had a zero I would give this place a zero although very easy to rent from they have stolen my personal information with out any remorse, they hand up on you both Ft Lauderdale and Miami location and will read the caller ID to make sure it is not you calling. They do not have a manager on hand all the time and they are “apparently” privately owned they do not have a corporate to contact. The staff are very uneducated, and they have hidden fee’s, be carful with this place

PRICELESS OR JC Bad customer service, they are on American Express website as an option but they don’t accept Amex, they came late, they don’t have the same name so it is very confusing.I had to cancel and get another car, and of course I will have to pay more because I have to get another company again.Book with another company no priceless or jc.
Reserve a car weeks ago. Seem like the place ran out of cars and rented mines awhile then tried to give me a different car I was okay with but smaller. The lady at the counter with a dead face tried to add insurance to my car when I already have my own insurance. Then said we dont except that insurance because its doesnt carry a 500k policy. I know enough about insurance to know the only people that have that max out amount of coverage is NYC cab drivers. Not even millionaires with Lamborghini have that kind of coverage. This is one of cheapest car rental places. Just know why, you get what you paid for. The company didnt even have asphalt, straight gravel and dusty dirt you drive off on.
Don’t go here! Turn around and find another place to rent your car! These people are rude liars and don’t care about you at all! They require you to purchase their insurance since no insurance covers the required 500k they require, they give you a completely different car as promised and kept on adding hidden fees, turned out to be over $300 to rent a car for a couple days, ridiculous! I purchased through Expedia and they wouldn’t do anything about this scammy people or give me my money back!
The most horrible experience we have ever had with a car rental. $500,000 liability? A car that was dated with 60,000 plus miles. Beware, customer service is horrible..they dont get back to you. They also charged us some gas expenses..even though we filled it up where they said to fill it up. It was under 1/2 tank, that is what we brought it back to. BEWARE!!!!!! Tons of add ons at the last minute that we were required to buy??
Be aware of this rental place, especially if your traveling from out of state. They charged me a smoking fee of 250.00 and I don’t smoke. I think it’s because I was flying out that morning… wonder how many other ppl got ripped off!!! I disputed it with my credit card company of course but who needs the hassle!!!!!
Worst experience. It was reserved in advanced but they never showed up to pick us up at the airport even if we called several times to the office. We had to pay an expensive Uber to get to the Rental office. Over there it was worst because they charged us mandatory hidden fees so at the end we paid the highest price for a rental car.

Terrible experience!Bait & Switch.I booked a one way reservation and received reservation # confirming an agreed final price, all fees included.When picking up the car late at night, they tried to charge an additional $200 that was not provided in the contracted price which was ITEMIZED from their website.After refusing to pay the additional charges and calling an Uber I was directed to wait outside, in the dark, by the highway with my two kids.

When I picked it up it did not include insurance as published and they charge many hidden fees. I ended paying double the amount. RUN FROM THIS PLACE!
Very satisfied, great value for the money!!! I will again rent from OptimoRent or JC car rental. Highly recommended. When I booked for the first time, I was worried that how did I get a full-size SUV so cheap. The answer is that they give awesome deals, which we cant imagine. The car was in great condition, almost new. The agents are really nice and welcoming. One more experience is that my wife forgot her iPhone in the car. These people are so nice that they took their time off and returned (by mail) that iPhone to us. I am very thankful for all their services.

Avoid this SCAM company. You can look for the reviews in web and find they have very competitive prices, but when you go to retire the car, they charge you almost the double of the price argumenting fees and taxes insurance. At the end go to whatever other company and avoid this one. Through the app I paid 215 for a week rental car. But in the place (without including property damages insurance, I have to paid 250!! Otherwise the canceling policy will be charge 50% of amount already paid
If I could give them zero stars, I would. What a joke this company is! First off, theyre located far away from the airport (you cant take an airport shuttle bus to them). They have to send someone to pick you up at the airport. Once this person drove us to the actual rental place, they didnt have a car for us! Wed reserved more than a month in advance and showed them the reservation confirmation. They said, Sorry, we gave all the cars away. Theres nothing we can do. But well give you a ride back to the airport. Gee, thanks. Once the guy drove us back to the airport, we realized he hadnt given my friend back her drivers license (hed asked for it so he could confirm our reservation). We had to call him and demand he bring her drivers license back to the airport. We then had to abandon our place in line at Alamo Car Rental (because we had to figure out how to get another car, ASAP, on a busy holiday weekend), and run out of the airport to meet him at the curb. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS AWFUL PLACE!!!

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE.We made a pre-paid reservation through Kayak with OptimoRent who went by the company name JC Car Rental when we arrived in Miami. After calling for pickup we waited for more than 30 minutes to be picked up even though the place was less than a mile from the airport. The driver arrived in an unmarked Honda Pilot without saying a word, loaded our luggage and took us to a sketchy strip mall. He walked inside. When we tried to follow the door was locked. We waited there outside until another man who did not speak English came and unlocked the door. After charging the $1000 hold to my credit card, I was given the contract which was for a Toyota Corolla. My voucher was for a Toyota Rav-4 or similar. A Corolla is not similar to a Rav-4. The representative said they didnt have a Rav-4 or any other small SUV. I asked if he planned to tell me that before I signed a contract for the Corolla and if what planned to do to compensate me for the fact they didnt have the car I had a voucher for. No response. My wife and I demanded to be taken back to the airport where we acquired a last minute rental car with another company our own expense. This service is unacceptable and dishonest.Additionally, the customer service rep was unable to void the $1000 hold transaction. Instead he said his only option was to change the charge to a $0.01 charge. While this isnt a big deal to me financially, it shows another level of unprofessionalism and ineptitude on the part of JC Car Rental/Optimo Rent.
TCCar rental cancelled my reservation 1 day before my arrival without any reason. It was confirmed via a car booking agent and they cancelled teh reservation. Probably because they figured the rate was too low and they could rent the car to someone else at a better rate. Very illegal, very crooked up business practices.

I have called numerous times and get nothing but lip service. They blame my bank for not posting the refund!!?? They are off site from the airport, and the place is a joke! I made my reservation a month in advance. A few days before pick up, I recieved a notification that my reservation was cancelled. When I called in their excuse was that it wasnt available and thats it! They didnt even try to accommodate me with another rental. This was very inconvenient and unacceptable!

BUT when I got there they pretending to charge me 3 times the price (it was $150 and they raise the price in $450) even when I already rented online... putted me in a really hard decision because I really needed the car... BIG SCAM! DONT RENT FROM THEM! We rented a car from their FLL airport location on 6th St. My online print out stated that my balance to be paid at pick up was $101.00 and they told me it was $197.Even though I had my own insurance (and brought my card for proof of the insurance with me, they said that with your own insurance it was still a mandatory charge of $10 a day, plus another mandatory charge for a Sun pass even though none of this was stated anywhere in all the fine print. We wasted 45 minutes disputing this fact while the service agent tried to find it states somewhere on the website and paperwork. He could not find it anywhere!I then called EasyRentCars who we booked this through and they told me that they could do nothing about it, but we could cancel if we wanted! Therefore, we had no choice but to pay the $197 if we wanted to leave there with a rental, since we had no other means of transportation having been picked up by them at the airport!Ironically, when we returned the car there was now a print out taped to the counter stating the additional mandatory charges!! Ill start off with some positives that the car rental place had a very good pickup response time and very courteous drivers both from into the airport which made it very handy when traveling in comparison to walking in from a parking terminal at a typical rental place at the airport. Everything other than what was noted below worked on the car and performed well for what it was. I was impressed on how they met its very early for car rental return and gave us a ride to the airport although it was a secondary employee that did not speak English very well at all he was very courteous and a very safe driver.Im a pretty honest review or I feel but very picky with customer service being a service provider myself for the public. Well unfortunately we all expect to be nickeled and dimed upon a car reservation so they can make additional honey why Im not fine with is a hidden fees which leave you at no other choice to pay them sometimes. When you choose to use your own insurance they actually charge you $10 per day on your car rental which I felt was really sneaky because I actually printed the terms of service and read them carefully and nowhere on their didnt mention this other than if you choose your no insurance plan. Once you get there they said you that that no insurance plan cost $10 and theres no choice. The other thing that bothered me a little bit was I noticed they were filling up the rear tires on my particular vehicle when we picked up the car and lo and behold we had nothing but tire pressure issues every morning. when I asked him about this the simply said no worries well take care of it when you come back. For those that may not realize this that low tire pressure and even an over tire pressure is a huge safety concern and once the light comes on you never know if you have another problem. One other problem I had was when I realized I accidentally made the reservation for 4 days in meant to reserve it for 3 days they would only refund the SunPass fees and the no insurance fees and would not reimburse us for the extra day rental fee even though they were told of this problem 1 hour after I left signing the rental car agreement. This part was not necessary little wrong just a little cheesy and seem to counter common sense bottom line is I would not recommend them simply because of the details or service that were important to me but if you can Overlook some of those youll be fine with themJust an update we managed to leave our iPad in the back of the car and the gentleman was very nice saying he would put it in the mail tomorrow to us as well as any form of payment would be fine. RUN AWAY!! please do not make the same mistake my Fiancé and I made when we came to Ft Lauderdale/Miami. The company and managers are lying to you before you even pick up the car. Our 4 day rental car was supposed to be est $70 in total in December 2018. They came to pick us up from the airport and we were brought to their location in Ft Lauderdale. We then were told we needed a $10 a day sun pass, which we agreed to pay, then were told we needed to make a $500 security deposit. We ended up spending in total around $700 on what was supposed to be a $70 car rental but again were told we would receive the security deposit back and if we were to have any issues to call them. WEIRD, but my fiancé and i are dumb and just said ok. We should have left and went to enterprise and spent our money somewhere else. We ended up still renting the car, no problem dropping off the car at all, went on with our regular lives. A few weeks later, we then we spoke to a supposed “manager”, Luis Castillo, and he reassured us that the company attempted to refund our security deposit around 3 weeks later. Around late January 2019 we were told by the Credit card as well as JC auto rental, the card we used to make the payment needed a dispute due to the security deposit not being refunded/ accepted. We completed the dispute as requested by both companies. JC auto rental then reported to the credit card company saying our charges in total were around $700 and it was not a security refund but a purchase with no refund. We were shocked. Now we call JC auto rental attempting to talk to someone, now NO ONE speaks english, everyone speaks spanish apparently. Then they tell us since this charge was “last year we can’t do anything about it, its in the past.” WHAT?! talk about a scam!!! These people are TROLLS!!! Please don’t let them take your hard earned money unlike us. We are honest people, we don’t like fighting, arguing, blah, blah, etc. We just want to warn the next Friend/Family/Anyone to go to enterprise, or any reputable car rental company. Do your research unlike us.
I never ever write reviews but this place was so bad that i must.This place is HORRIBLE, even the manager is bad. They dont find your reservation in the system. Manager says he’ll look into it and call you back, doesnt do it. Days trying to get an answer and nothing. Save yourself the trouble and rent a car elsewhere.

I’ve been waiting for 4 hours at Ft. Laurderdale airport. I was told because I was late (Because of weather delays) I needed to wait for the Ft. Lauderdale branch to open between 640-640pm and I would receive a call. It’s 9pm now and I still haven’t received a call from JC car rental.

Poor service policies charge and additional charge for unreported damage repairs, they do not respond for the insurance purchased. I suggest never hiring with them, it was definitely a theft what they did.
We arrived and the reservation canceled me because my flight was delayed ... And I arrived 40 minutes late without notice ... To return to give me my reservation they forced me to take out an insurance of $ 30 dollars x every day. Q was 10 $ 300 dollars more, being that I was paid for 6 months .. Guys, never rent a car at this company, they charge more, like every rental company you pass the card, as a guarantee that something can happen to the car, but nothing happened to mine and they just did not return the value of 3 thousand reais! Do not recommend, the rental price will get super cheap. But then they force you to take so much, that leaves the same price you would have taken in an Alamo, Hertz or any other annex to Miami airport. Not that this is a problem, because they will pick you up and drop you off at the airport, but you have to keep calling, thats kind of annoying. But the worst thing for me was the vehicle, I did an upgrade but before I had not done it, I got a blue Santa Fe that was not ready, had to wash and knows those lavas at the time, it was not good. And she had a noise in the rear wheel that looked like I was in a tractor, a very annoying noise. Do not recommend, the cheap comes out expensive. The location offered by the DECOLAR reservation was confusing and when we arrived at the airport, we did not find the rental car that is actually outside.
