Ive been here multiple times and as someone who manages yelp reviews and google reviews in my own organization -- it felt the most important to let everyone know what kind of business is ran here. Its not only done with pristine execution to get the event youre dreaming of to become real life, but the employees are ever so delightful to work with. They heard me out about my concerns, worries, and ultimately gave me solutions to every single one! Talk about professionalism. Ive read the negative reviews here and I was actually quite shocked....I personally think this was just people who hate to see others win and succeed in their own business. I had my Bridal Soree here and I loved everything about it, that my Husband and I are having our wedding here this year. Rose is very sweet and straight forward. She understand that we are a military family and work with us over the phone. I will highly recommend everyone to this location no doubts about it.

I don’t recommend this venue to anyone. I gave her $1000 I called her months before my wedding day and explain I had someone very special to me that pass away so we had to cancel our venue. Supposedly she was going to call me back she never did. Besides all we found out that she is selling the location. My husband went and spoke to her in person asking for at least half of the money since she didn’t do any flowering or nothing what so ever. She said that what ever money you gave if you cancel you loose your money. This is something I don’t understand. Beside all since day one rose never called me for any updates tours my wedding, nor follow up with me at all. I want half of my deposit back. I will take this court.

Came here for a wedding reception during the 4th of July weekend. The venu was gorgeous and decorated really nicely. The workers were all very friendly and the bartender made great drinksThe biggest con was the bathrooms were horrendous. They really need a bathroom attendant.They have a huge parking lot and it was big enough to accommodate our party plus the party next door.I would definitely recommend this venu.

I suggest before doing your ideal wedding at the Renaissance at the Gables to look into all her reviews. She will pretend to be a very nice person and very welcoming but she will take your money one way or the other and her friend or manager Tony which is the one who reply’s to the reviews is very rude and will call you with a very nasty attitude. Nothing he says is true nor he has nothing to do with this business. He is like the middle man. They will stay with your money and give you many excuses. The place is very old it smells horrible inside. So please think about it twice. They are very unprofessional.

The customer service was excellent, to the extent that we decided to write this review. We opted for having the reception and ceremony at the Renaissance at the Gables on New Year’s Eve. The lighting was romantic; the cylinder orchid flower arrangements were amazing; the decorations were beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The bathrooms were impeccably clean. The reception and ceremony were separated by these beautiful, white, tasteful curtains. The food was exactly what we wanted. We decided on the London Broil for the meal. I am a very busy person and Tony (from the Renaissance) really helped in creating a wonderful, stress-free experience. It is great instead of individually dealing with vendors; the venue takes care of coordinating it. It allowed me to actually enjoy my wedding and created very epic memories. Tony helped us every step of the way and went beyond our expectations. Thank you Tony and Renaissance at the Gables!

A nice events location in Miami.The Renaissance is a well maintained property used primarily for hosting events. The size makes it perfect for small to medium sized groups.There is a permanent stage area which allows for the users to setup a love band and/or have performances. The staff are friendly and security is provided.I would recommend it on short list of places to consider for event hosting.

Nice looking place

We had our wedding here, ceremony and reception, and it was an amazing experience. Rose was so pleasant to work with and Chacha was out of this world amazing. She made sure everything was perfect and the way I wanted it the day of. She kept in touch with me during the last few months leading up to the big day which made me feel more at ease about the whole thing. Rose’s husband was such a sweetheart when he picked me up in his gorgeous Rolls Royce for the ceremony. Nancy made the most gorgeous flower arrangements and all of that for a very reasonable price! Everything went so smooth the day of and I am so thankful we decided to host our wedding there. HIGHLY recommend.

Rose and her staff handled our beach wedding and reception to perfection!! I have received so many compliments from all my guests for being elegant and beautiful. In addition, the food was delicious. From the appetizers, to the food stations, to the amazing dessert and cake station, everything was delicious. Thank you so much for making our day amazing and memorable. We are eternally grateful!

Renaissance at the Gables and its owner, Rose, did an AMAZING job with our wedding. Rose is very personable and a true professional. We had our wedding reception at another venue but hired the Renaissance for our flowers, DJ, and decoration. The flower arrangements were STUNNING. Prices were also very reasonable (very difficult to find that in Miami).We are very grateful to them for making our day so special!

Nice place, they came thru. However record everything thats being discussed. Husband will say something wife will say something else. I got cussed the day of my wedding by Rose the owner of the place. Phone was on speaker the whole bridal heard it. The husband clearly said if guess parked on the back no need for valet the day of Rose told me no thats not how it works and got yelled at. So please record everything because it was humiliated

Food is good but nothing special. Valet parking for a big empty lot is not needed. Mens room needs a refresh.

We had our High School Reunion on the third floor, The building is very nice and it is in a good location, The decoration is well done and the music was good.There is only one negative but it is a big one, You cant park your own car so they force you to use the Valet, When the party was over it took almost an hour to get my car because they refuse to let you get your own car and they only had 2 Valet drivers and 50+ people waiting for their cars, On top of that the Valet parking isnt free (Even though there is no option).If they can get the parking issue fixed this would be a great place, Otherwise i would probably not recommend this place.

It was so hard to decided where I was going to make my daughters fifteens special! I looked and looked and when I met Tony and staff I fell in love!!! They were amazing and treated me like family!!! I knew right there and than this will be the prefect place!!! The moment I walked in everyone was very helpful and friendly got right to the point and everything I asked for they had! Im truly blessed that they made my daughters night unforgettable!!!!! The day came and I was a nerves wreck but Tony knew how to keep me calm and relax and telling me everything will be prefect, yes indeed everything was amazing!!! Couldnt ask for a better place!!! Went here with my wife on a Saturday night and actually had a great time. Heard music that I hadnt heard in decades. If you really like to hear some old-time disco and early freestyle I recommend coming here on a Saturday night. Please note it is an older crowd.

Had a great time at the party there. Plenty of space for two or three parties at once. They Just didn’t label the area for which party. Valet was nice and there is a liquor store right across the street. Friendly waitresses just didn’t speak much English.

I got married there yesterday. The staff was great in that they really helped me stay on budget. A few things got messed up, but thats every wedding. Tony and Isabel were really helpful. Given the option, Id have my wedding here again. It was nice being able to book everything in one location and still stay on budget.

I attended a baby shower here. My only complaint was it was entirely too cold. When asked to turned it down, they turned it off.

This also a dancing spot called Studio Cafe. With two sides that are separated. One side the age group is 50s and above, with live Latin music. The other side, theres a disco with a DJ for dancing and the age group is in the 30s and 40s. Nice atmosphere valet parking.

We had our daughter’s 15’s this weekend in the Scala Room. Everything turned out so beautiful! Service and staff were amazing. They tended to our every need! The food and drinks were great. The DJ was incredible! He played everything our daughter and her friends asked for! Thanks Charlie!! And a huge thank you to Chacha and Tony. You were with us every step of the way! Our daughter’s night was magical because of you!!

Very nice place to have any type of party

I had my 35 year Retirement Party at Renaissance at the Gables and it was the most exhilarating experience from the beginning to the end. I will have memories to last me a lifetime. I had my retirement party on August 25, 2017 from 7:00p.m.- 11p.m, and everything was top notched from sitting with the owner Rose and her staff they were fantastic. I had access to the venue whenever I needed to come and look at the place, bring visitors or family members. The food was delicious, my guest couldnt stop talking about the beautiful venue. The florist made my tables look fabulous with the rose pedals and baby breath on the curio surrounding my eiffle towers. My theme was A Night In Paris The DJ was on point with the music I selected. The entire night was remarkable. They set the bar for me I would suggest this venue for any event you plan on having they will not disappoint. Rose and her staff treated me so wonderful i just knew this was the place for me. The server for my bar was magnificent she was excited to do my party and she didnt disappoint. I had a remarkable night I am still receiving texts and emails from my gust telling me they had a lovely time at my affair. Thank you Rose < your staff your daughter making me a delicious 3-tier pineapple cake it was delicious. My nephew said auntie the food was so good especially the vegetables, the red potatoes, the chicken, pork loin and moros. This staff is one of the best. the servers were excellent, the pored the cider for my guest to roast 7 toast me. The linen, the lighting, the air was so nice and cold and my neighbor said the bathrooms were immaculate thank you Rose for everything you guys are so sweet and a professional group of people I appreciate everything you and your staff did to make my Retirement Party from the Clerk of Courts one I will never forget. They went overboard to accommodate our fundraising event. Detail oriented, very knowledgeable and helpful. The ballroom looked beautiful and everything was simply perfect!

My sister most recently got married here, its a one stop shop with all the bells and whistles for a very reasonable price. It was the best option for her due to the short time frame for wedding planning and they were very helpful in that aspect. The day of went pretty smooth, there were minor things that went wrong, but overall the wedding was spectacular and we all had a great time. However, the day after is when things got messed up. There were a number of things that we left that night to pick up the following day. Such as, tea light holders, lights, decor items, cake knives, bride & groom champagne flutes, etc. the normal things that you would assume can be picked up the following day. When we returned to pick them up, they had thrown away the tea light holders, lost the cake knife, lost the champagne flute box & some other items. Its unfortunate that this would be the way they finish their relations with their customers. I may have recommended them before, but unfortunately they left a bad impression right at the very end.

Worst place to ever have an event. My fiancé held an event here for her High School 10 year reunion, which started off great. Then towards the ending of the night two roaches appeared on the dance floor coming from the kitchen area. When I spoke to Rose (Owner) in regards to how she can assist in anyway, she began to blame it on the partygoers for bringing in outside rodents because she routinely gets the facility fumigated. This place is Definitely not somewhere that you would want to celebrate a memorable event at and the staff there is less than appealing in regards to customer service, would rate this place lower than a 1star if given the opportunity. PLEASE DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY OR WASTE YOUR ENERGY HERE !

Bad customer service... I had an appointment at 5pm, got there with my Fiancé no one was at the office only the staff was there setting the venue for a party. A call would be nice to let us know. Plus they suppose to closed by 6pm. Left a message as well over the phone. I sent a message through Knot Appt I was on my way at 4:36pm. GPS told us we will arrive by 5:07pm.

What a nice experience we had, we celebrated my daughter’s 15th at this location, what an amazing job they did decorating the place, my daughter was crying of emotion, great service, food was delicious, DJ was so friendly and enthusiastic, music was awesome, i definitely recommend this place for any party, thank you Tony, what a nice night we had!!!!!!!

It was a very nice setup once you get into the actual room that the event was held. However they need to do some remodification especially with the elevators.

My wedding was held here on July 4, 2015 and here is my experience :My ceremony was beautiful. The decor was really nice and it was intimate like I wanted. Rose set up the room as if she was getting married and it was nice.Reception: I feel like I paid a lot of money for a lot of NOTHING! My reception was a mess. Firstly, when I first decided to go with this place I did a walk through and the facility was ok. Not drop dead gorgeous but good enough for someone on a budget. As the date neared I noticed that the carpet in the reception hall and on the stairs was VERY worn and there were a lot of obvious imperfections that were visible (that werent before). Also, the staff was AWFUL. None of the servers spoke English (or would admit to speaking English) and they served the appetizers cold. Also, when it was time for the main course they served the salad and the meal wasnt served for about an hour. My coordinator had to go and inquire about the main course before it came out. The meal itself was amazing (all of my guest really enjoyed it). The DJ had to be asked 4 separate times to play the music on the list I gave him. My family and friends began to leave as a result of the reception going so slowly (slow music, classical music). Again the staff was so unresponsive and stood in the back and talked instead of paying attention to my guests. In addition, the mandatory $5.00 valet lost mixed up my guests keys and it took FOREVER to get their cars.All in all, although the ceremony was beautiful and the food tasted good, the overall experience was frustrating and the condition of the facility was awful. To top it off, it seemed like every time we were close to paying off, another charge came up (like the 120 people was including the bride and groom). I think if you can find somewhere else to go then do so. I wish I had!

I jokingly call this place The Babylon and make reference to that famous line from Richard Belzer when I come here to enjoy my classical music - disco and freestyle (I came of partying age in the late 80s). So if I make reference to my favorite movie, yes I have a great Saturday here.Ive been coming here since 2009, when I heard that the music of my youth (Sequal, Judy Torres, etc) as well as some salsa can be found here Saturday nights. I believe there was a change in the DJ a few years and it has been for the better. The cocktail game has definitely improved, from basic on the rocks to some of the best mojitos Ive enjoyed!Theres live music every Saturday, but especially during the summer they bring the live shows from artists that you danced to in your Cavariccis and Members Only shirts at Casanova or high scholl school parties.They also have a restaurant next to the main dance floor space ($5 cash cover) that Ive only had drinks at. However, they also have mostly Spanish tapas and comfort food. The crowd in that room is a little older, and the music more salsa but with live bands.

We celebrated my cousins 50th Birthday party at this location. We reserved the upstairs ballroom and the theme was Arabian Nights. I was really impressed with the decor. They were able to get us tablecloths in all different colors and the cake was absolutely on point and went beautifully with our theme.But quite honestly, (and the reason I was inspired to write this review) what I was most impressed with was the service. Our party consisted of over 200 people and yet the 2 bartenders (Chacha & Lourdes) that were serving up all of our delicious drinks were able to keep that line moving like it was nobodys business! They were fast, personable, and very professional. For me, the bar is a very important area, as believe it or not, it is where most of the people spend their time. Even after getting a drink, people just stand around talking and hanging out by the bar. It helps to have bartenders that are as personable as these two ladies. They really impressed me and I dont impress easily, especially at a banquet hall!These lades were so fantastic that when they party was over, they insisted on helping us load an entire table of gifts into the car. Everyone as that place was super awesome and helpful. They helped make this night an extra special one for my cousin and our family and friends.The music was very good and I have the swollen feet to prove it! If youre looking for a place to have a formal event without going broke, this is the place to have it at!

My husband and I booked this venue for our wedding reception months ago when we knew we werent able to find anything else that looked as nice or had a good layout. Plus its close to our house.We had a certain budget in mind when we first started preparations but then that went out the window when we found out how expensive a nice wedding actually is. Still, we were trying to keep it low since we both knew our limits. The owner Rose met with us and instantly knew what we wanted as we explained ourselves. We did mention that we had a tight budget which she understood and showed us what they had available. The two out of the tree packages she showed us were promising, but when she whipped our the Dream Package and all the things it included, we knew it had to be that one. They covered the flowers, the cake, even chocolates for favors and that delighted me since I already bought the boxes and didnt have to worry about make them anymore! My first concern was about the cake since I had one already picked out and wanted to bring it, and thats when they told me they could make it for us for a cheaper price. That made me happy to make that decision so we signed up.Later when I brought up the cake and how much it would cost, it turned out to be $450 extra. The price was less than the cake I wanted originally from the bakery but it was still pretty steep. I really wanted that design, however, and stuck with it. As the months wore on, though, it became clear that the extra cost was going to be too much on us. However, they said they could take off the cake and provide a buttercream cake already included in the package. Problem solved. We were good. They were very quick to fix any issues.On the wedding day, I got the flowers but found that I was missing a throwing bouquet. I thought maybe it was at the venue, but I couldnt talk to anyone since the office is closed on Sundays and that was the day of our wedding. I loved my bouquet and didnt want to get rid of it, but I didnt really have a choice and ended up giving it to someone else. I was also worried about hitting someone in the face with it since it was really heavy!In short, the colors of the reception was perfect, they provided everything I asked for (especially the centerpieces I really wanted for extra), the food and drinks were a success, and they were so good to let my family bring special bottles for our table and their table. I really enjoyed my day and wouldnt want to change anything.

My wife and I got married at the Renaissance At The Gables this past weekend with a wedding that was literally planned in 2 months and I must say, EXCELLENT SERVICES.Rosy did an amazing job in getting everything together for us. She was flexible with our needs and always provided an excellent service guiding us. We would schedule time with her and she was readily available for us when we got there which was crucial for us since we were from out of town. Tony the photographer arranged a photographer for us on the 11th hour with a great price based on our budget.The day of the wedding, a few minor things needed attention, but nothing to jump about it. I got there ahead of time to ensure that everything was set up as I and my wife would expect and it was. The decorations and the flowers were beautiful. The lighting was great for us. We had our wedding on the Fontana Room and after the ceremony were moved next door with our guests while they prepare the place for the reception which was done in less than 30 minutes. Once the room was completed, our guests were moved back after a great bar service and hors doeuvres. The food was great. All of our guests raved about the food. We made the choice of the London Broil and the Scalloped Potatoes. The London Broil was perfect and the Scalloped Potatoes was a big hit for our guests; everyone wanted more.I must warn you though, this place is run by an entire family that really knows their business and is a Cuban place which means is always really busy and loud when you go to meet with them. Rosy is a huge multitasker and it might give the impression that as she is juggling people on the phone, people that walk in, etc that she is not 100% with you; please trust me SHE IS. She is on the ball constantly. She is extremely passionate on how she does things and an extreme perfectionist; so dont take it to heart if you go visit her for your planning and she is all over. She is actually paying attention to you while at the same time ensuring that other events are planed as expected. She will do the same thing for your event and that is a welcome process.We will for sure use Renaissance At The Gables for any future events. The care and attention to detail that we received and the great service and flexibility is worth the money. At the end of the day all it really matters is the outcome of the event and for us we had a great time and so did our guests.

That place is palpable, the preference is felt, for the social class that you appear, I will not mention names ... remember: Pioneer exile, which deserves my respect, many, they prepared the ground for us, to which we arrived later ... but we are all the same . And sometimes appearances can be deceiving. And that it takes 100 good referrals to win 1 client ... and only 1 bad to lose 200. They do it bad ... very bad. And the 12 that you misused ... so, take account of how many bad references.
