Dr. Daryl Haydel is great with my cat. He is very gentle with her, and I totally trust him.

We brought our dog, Jack, to Dr Daryl Haydel for 15 years. He was always willing to listen, provide optimal care, and give advice whenever requested. Dr Haydel, Marcella, and all of the staff at MSAH were amazing to our beloved dog as well as us. You know they are truly wonderful, good hearted people because of how much our dog loved them. He was afraid of most people and did not care for other animals very much, but HE LOVED these people.Unfortunately, Jack had to be euthanized today. We knew that Dr Haydel would recommend what was in Jack’s best interest and are extremely thankful for him. We are relieved our loved one is no longer suffering. Thank you all for helping us give Jack a well-lived life. We will miss seeing your smiling faces.

We had a scary moment with our dog today right before the clinic was closing. I called and was in and out in 10 minutes with peace of mind and of course after a thorough exam. Everyone was so sweet and helpful.

My kitty went for a dental cleaning and Dr. Haydel gave us a kitty toothbrush. I am still laughing about it but not anymore...it is now Coon Kittys favorite chew toy. He loves chewing on the bristles. Well, thats one way to get his teeth cleaned. Thanks!

I lost my baby girl Lucy on June 29 2019Lost the love of my life.... I thank this hospital for a few things that day. I had an emergency with Lucy my dog, she couldn’t breed every clinic I am vet near me was closed it was a Saturday, and I found this animal hospital they was the only one open near by.•Soon as I brought Lucy in with crying eyes Of mine, they took her from my arms immediately they placed oxygen on her and worked on her right away.•She had too much water in her lungs she couldn’t be saved, they tried really hard. Dr Alex was the one helping her, and everyone was so kind and understanding. I was so emotional and couldn’t stop crying they did not nag me For payment information or things like that.•Dr. Alex kept in touch with me throughout the day on the phone, while I had to leave & leave Lucy with them. I told Dr. Alex I do not want her to suffer and if it’s bad to let her pass. Because she was so sick. There was no saving at this point just suffering. I know my baby girl is at peace and free I will never get over her, and I thank this hospital for doing their exact best. Thank you Dr Alex and ALL the staff for helping me. They recently sent me a letter to with everyone’s signature that was SOOO HEART warming...Really caring ppl here. I wish this place was my dogs regular dr’s

Everyone there is so nice and knowledgeable about the animals. My cat is my family and I want the best care for her and I believe she gets it at Metairie Small Animal Hospital.
