In early June, I purchased a 2006 F-150 from Matt Bowers Ford. The transaction appeared to go fairly smoothly on the surface. However, one hour after taking receipt of the truck, the check engine light came on. I immediately brought it back, the checked it, and said it needed a purge valve replaced. After a couple of weeks, the repair was made at no cost to me. The same day, the light returned. I brought it back in and was then told that the O2 sensor was bad. This one would have to be paid my me. I was quoted a price of $300. I wasnt happy that I had to pay to have this replaced, but I had no choice. It was SUPPOSED to have been ordered. Three weeks later, I called only to find out that the guy I was dealing with no longer worked there, but it was put into the computer that the repair was scheduled and I was a no show. THEN, I was told that it still needed to be ordered. HUH!? The part finally came in and it was installed at a slightly reduced price to what I had been quoted. Also, inquired about the status of my plate and title as I had received neither. I was told that a duplicate title had to be applied for from Alabama. As a result, I had to be given another temporary tag as the first one had expired. A couple of days later, the engine light returned. As we kept a close eye on it over the next few days, the truck begin to run very rough. As I made the decision to drive it to another Ford dealership that a friend of ours works at, the truck would not go into gear then got a Transmission Failure message. So, now, I have it towed to the tune of $280 and am told that the transmission is shot. As it is currently awaiting a repair, I call Matt Bowers to check on the status of the plate and title, I am NOW told that the truck was purchased in Texas and a request to Texas had to be sent for the title. At this typing, I now have no truck as it is down for the third time in three month, I have no title or plate yet, and am out over $10,000 in purchase prices, towing, and repairs. Needless to say I am very displeased, to say the least. I know you take a chance with buying used vehicles, but this is absurd. UPDATE- We are now waiting for a fuel pump to come in. The money pit continues to get worse and to date, STILL no title or registration from Matt Bowers Ford. I have now attempted to contact Ruby and Matt Stine to no avail and my only recourse now is to consult my attorney.

What a Awesome Experience with Steve Biro!!! I drive a Toyota and I was looking for anyone to change my oil. So I choose Matt Bowers with hopes of them being able to assist me with my Toyota. Well Steve greeted me with a warm smile, great information and plenty of jokes. I thought I would feel out of place bringing my Toyota to a Ford but instead I felt right at home; I almost traded my Toyota in lol. Steve is an asset to Ford and I will be back to buy my next car, send a friend or even get an oil change. Horrible experience. Called in the am told them the specific car I was looking for. They told me they had none in stock and probably wont for at least a few weeks. Same person called me back 10 min later and said a truck arrived last night, theres now 10 on the lot and I can test drive one today. Arrive at the lot, at my scheduled time, in the rain, only to be told they didnt have any of that car on the lot. Absolutely lied just to get me in the door. The time has come for car dealerships to stop playing games with customers. I will never return to this dealership.

I feel I can trust the mechanics and service department. When I dropped my truck off for an oil change, I knew I would need additional services. I got the text message to approve needed services, which amounted to almost $1000. I then received a call from Steve who told me I only needed some of the services because some had already been completed. He took the time to look through my service records and clarify what I needed preventing me from paying for unnecessary services. That was a high integrity move and affirms my reasons for only bringing my truck to MB ford for service.

Matt Bowers is a stereo type of an awful dealer experience. A bunch of fees that no one seems to know what they are, salesmen just keep saying its the manager and the manager just straight up told me he wasnt interested in my business. Im just trying to buy out my lease and literally understand what your charging me for since theres 10% upcharge for fees in addition to tax and the BPO. I shouldnt have to fight you for you to tell me what Im paying for.Update: Matt Bowers Ford, you responded that you would like to discuss but unfortunately did not leave a way for me to contact you. I would be happy to provide you detailed feedback given the opportunity.

Ive been to this dealership three times since moving to New Orleans. Driving a 12-year-old Ford Focus, issues arise. While Im not sure the dealership is the most cost-effective place to go for repairs, its a business I could trust. The cost has never been that bad, and they always are very efficient at getting my car fixed. Typically, the next day.

I drive a Jaguar but i often get my oil changed at this Ford location. As i approached the service lane today Steve Biro greeted me and quickly asserted the specifications of my car and gave an estimate on the time of work. He texted me as soon as work was starting keeping me updated along the way. Steve Biro is professionalism and courtesy personified i look forward to having him as my service advisor for the future.

I came here to get my oil changed and to fix my tire (ran over a nail). Other dealerships were telling me it was going to be a week because they were so backed up (admittedly I did show up a bit late in the day) but Steve and Dane managed to get me fixed up in no time.Also Jeopardy was on in the waiting room which is always a plus!

After explaining to Giovanni my usual service advisor was someone else he still took over my job ( very shady). After a few days I received a call from him after I got the price for work needed. He tried to charge me 200$ more until I explained that I already received a quote for cost. After he realized that I was informed he apologize for his mistake in pricing (snake like). After they attempted to get me to pay for a second diagnostic test when the technician told me what was needed. He walked away without a clear explanation and said the service advisor will do that. After speaking with the service manager he decided to give me a “complimentary” diagnostic test as if that’s not policy. Then after I pay the fees and get my car back it starts to run hot 3 blocks away. I didn’t want to bring my car back because that’s something that should have been discovered during the diagnostic test or when they drove it. It showed how they didn’t pay attention to a big hot detail, lack of knowledge, and care. Currently my car is parked and unable to be driven. Luckily I have multiple vehicles. I will take my car to another dealership hopefully I will have a better results and service. Basically Matt Bowers Ford wasn’t a good choice. Hopefully I can get better assistance at another location.

In December I purchased a used Nissan frontier from Matt Bowers Ford. I did about a month of research on the Frontier as well as the local dealerships. Matt Bowers Ford was rated by purchasers as one of the best car dealerships in the metro New Orleans area. So when a 2013 Nissan frontier became available on their website I did not hesitate to schedule an appointment for a test drive. The salesman whom test drove the vehicle with me was professional and knowledgeable and didnt have anything negative to say about Matt Bowers Ford. After the test drive I mentioned to the salesman what my bottom line price was and he passed it on to the used car sales manager Mr. Jake. I feel the negotiation process was amicable as we agreed on price. Within 2 hours we settled on price and documentation was completed. Thanks to Jake I have the truck that I wanted at a price that I wanted. I would shop there the next chance I get.

About 8 months ago I got my battery replaced here and ever since weird things have been occurring with my car: the hazards turning on (not just flashing once) when I lock the car, my radio turning on when I unlock it, my horn no longer works, and occasionally my car will abruptly turn off. I called to ask them about checking it out since it is clearly an issue with the connection between the battery and the electrical components and they said it would cost me $180 for the diagnostic.After talking with Chris, I have now edited my review (partially because Im not allowed to delete it for some reason) to reflect my current feelings. They were very accommodating and willing to help work with me to resolve the issue with my car.

Its not every day that you buy a car, so obviously its a bit of a nerve wracking experience. I came to Matt Bowers because they had everything I was looking for - from the model down to the color and interior.
