Solid solid gym. Went various hours and it wasn’t packed. Good number of equipment. Not 24hrs but a really good gym.

Great gym. Nice new equipment including Rogue power racks and huge turf room (not area - entire huge room with TRX, plyoboxes, kettle bells, etc.) Staff is friendly, place is clean, and its easy to work out here and actually use the stuff you want to use. Major improvements with Fitness 1440 taking over, now an awesome place to work out.

I like this gym! Go almost daily. Music is not to my liking. 0ften Lots of obnoxious very loud rap but I put on my earphones and watch a news feed on my cell phone.

This gym is so clean and nice! They have so many classes and all the equipment you need (they even provide yoga mats without the need for rental)!! The employees are amazing and make you feel like you are an important part of the 1440 family. I 100% recommend this gym, i have absolutely loved my experiences.

As a former NFL player, I am always looking for a great gym to workout 24hrs a day. This is the place for sure. Its super clean has the best equipment and a very large free weight area.

This is the best gym Ive ever been to. Its not overly crowded, its very clean and the staff is great. Their personal trainers are awesome, I had one named Matt for three months and he was great at helping me learn how to push myself without making myself get sick. The sessions were great and he was really good at helping me work around my own disabilities. :)

The management is horrible. I feel bad for people who work here because they are put in a bad position (dealing with upset customers) and management hasnt been there the times that I needed to talk to them. It was inconvenient when I first tried to set up auto pay (you will have to do the run around) and when time passed, I regretted even setting it up (they will definitely take your money). Cancelling a membership will cost you. My husband even told me an employee was uneasy about canceling the membership in fear of the supervisor cussing them out. He told them well give your supervisor my number to cuss me out, but in the end they wanted me to go down there in person to cancel. They do not deal with anything over the phone. I am typing this because even though my husband and I signed papers to cancel our membership they continue to charge us. I will let you know the outcome tomorrow because I am going to try to contact the supervisor again. I am pretty sure I will have to go down there myself(no surprise..Im even expecting it), if they do not resolve this over the phone. We cancelled in October and agreed to pay another month for the 30 day notice. They better not even try to have me pay out my membership or continue another contract (This happened to me the first time I tried cancel). Join at your own risk.

Great gym!. Gave me a free trail and I was hooked. They have the best in workout equipment, if you are not sure how to use something each piece has a video tutorial. love the TRX maps and the HIIT training. Highly recommend this place.

Completely terrible customer service and gym etiquette. The gym was almost empty. It was my very first day. I was doing military over head presses in the squat rack. Some random idiot approaches me and says I shouldnt be doing presses in the squat rack. Mind you that the gym is pretty much empty. I make the dude look stupid and decide to leave. Management wouldnt give me a refund. 20 dollars for a 3 day pass. Absolutely terrible customer service. Ive been lifting for 13 years and have never been so disrespected. You do not piss people off during their workouts. Thats the golden rule of going to the gym. People are there to deflate. I LOVE Blast Fitness! I have had a membership for a little over a year now and dont plan on stopping any time soon. The staff is very friendly to both me and my son who stays in the kids room while I work out. The gym is clean and there is always equipment available to work out on. I am never stuck waiting. I never feel judged or like people are watching me while I work out. My membership is a great deal with babysitting, one unlimited guest pass, tanning, and sauna all included in the monthly fee. Its the perfect gym for me and I am so happy I found it!

I’ve been a member for several months now and personally I enjoy coming here even when there’s a lot of people it doesn’t feel like there is a lot of people and that’s what I like about it I don’t like those other gyms where it gets so jampacked you can’t even do anything I feel like it’s nice and clean the layout is nice the new equipment is awesome since the remodel it feels like you could have your own personal space

I was in town for business and needed to get a workout in. Im not exactly the most physically fit person in the world, but I didnt want to throw off the progress Id been making back home, so I sucked it up and did a quick search. I saw that this place was nearby so I decided to give it a try. I was a little hesitant since I didnt really know the area, but I am so glad I happened to find this place. I was quickly greeted when I walked in. The staff was super nice and welcoming, which definitely made all of the difference. A trainer by the name of Jacobo took the time to show me around so I wasnt completely lost. I truly appreciated the kind staff and the several friendly faces I saw around the gym. I will definitely be back next time Im in town!

Blast Fitness in MESA, AZ is by far the best gym experience Ive had!! The staff is super nice and helpful and the equipment is always available without a huge crowd making me feel uncomfortable. As a former personal trainer finding a gym that offers everything is hard to find. Until i found Fitness 1440 mesa. Super clean all start of the art and one they the TRX Maps system along with the HIIT room. Go check out this gym.

Me and Mom have gone to Blast for 2 yrs. I like going there. The gym has improved since the management changed. Jenny & staff are friendly. The restrooms and equipment are clean. My trainer Matt is very good with me. He does not push me too hard. He goes at my pace. He teaches me new exercise for my balance.

I live next door so location is perfect. I joined online, easy as pie, then showed up and just started working out like Ive been here for years. No pressure from anybody. All the equipment you need no waiting around like other clubs Ive been to. Clean. Perfect.

We’ve been going here for years. For the money, it’s a good gym. They keep it clean and the equipment has gotten better now under new ownership. But don’t expect anything fancy although the new rogue equipment and rowers have been a nice add. Usually not too busy which I like but sometimes the good equipment is taken and can be a challenge to get on. But that’s just gym etiquette that people don’t observe. Would be nice though if they had a few mor towers and more kettlebells to help out with that.

Very nice gym! Always clean. Theres always one staff member who sticks out to me and thats Leslie. Shes always extremely friendly, cheerful and Im always greeted with a smile.

Very disappointed, I explained to their personnel my personal situation and offered to pay next months payment if I could cancel my membership. She pretty much told me that there was nothing I could do to cancel except buy out the whole contract. They arent very understanding and definitely NOT willing to accommodate you! I would love to go to the gym but my situation doesnt allow me to and now Im stuck paying this membership for a full year. I WONT BE SIGNING UP AGAIN!

Ive been going to this gym for a few months and so far my experience has been good. Lesli, at front desk, always greets you with a great attitude and she is very welcoming.Some of the equipment could need an upgrade, other than that its a good gym.

Is it the best gym Ive ever joined? No it isnt. But it is cheap and easy to get to. Not a big selection of machines and many seem to be perpetually out of order. But at $10 a month you get what you pay for.

Its actually just a revenue factory that looks like a gym. Theres no attention to customer service, cleanliness, or decent equipment. Its all about baiting you in with the $10 a month deal then tacking on fees that pushes the actual cost up to regular gym prices. Decide you cant/dont want to go anymore? Too bad. Theyll play a BS game of hide and seek for as long as humanly possible while charging you. Theres more red tape than a corporate takeover to cancel your membership. They want you to be the person that goes in with good intentions and then loses motivation and just pays the monthly fee because its too much of a hassle to cancel. If you want to go to a real gym I suggest finding a smaller one in your area. All the big corporate ones are the same.

I was happy with the gym while we used it. Not the greatest and childcare was extremely simplistic. You do get what you pay for. However good luck trying to cancel your membership if you move! Ive been getting the run around about incorrect documentation and the same person trying to cancel the membership for illness when Im doing it because of moving. Plus when I called the customer care number there was no record of the email communication that had taken place. What should have been a simple process became complicated and a headache. Buyer beware.

I got sucked in because of the FB ad they were running last year. This is probably one of the worst managed businesses Ive ever been a part of. I tried setting up personal training sessions for about a month before they ever contacted me, then a month later I was able to start! Then when I realized this place was just garbage I tried cancelling my contract. Oh MY! Its been ALMOST A FULL YEAR and I still havent been able to. Its like they purposely dodge you. Now Im receiving threatening calls that Im being sent to collections because I told my bank to stop the auto payments to this crooked company. Theyre like a LEECH that wont let go!Please, dont EVER get pulled into this trap.

God forbid you get pregnant and want to cancel membership. They make it a nightmare. Dont set up auto pay from checking acct. they will do all they can do take as much as they can before cancelling. Still trying to cancel I emailed a letter given to me at the gym and now they want another letter. How many letters does it take to cancel a membership. Know what gym Im not singing back up on once Im done with my pregnancy. BEWARE!!!

Love the atmosphere and the gym but I have lost faith in ever having a personal trainer anywhere due to my experience with having one here. Didnt feel like the trainer cared as much about my fitness goals as I did.

My first day at blast fitness was1-1-17First impression very clean.I am 50 years old 100 pounds over weight not getting around very well I started out slowly on a diet coming into the gym 5 days a week it has helped me alot I am down 36 pounds and over 30 inches The staff is wonderful they are also their to answer my questions my trainer Matthew is on point every time.He has shown me how to do things to help me out really has taught me a lot. I really like the womens workout room there is always a machine open this is a place if you are there not to impress anyone then you are in the right place. Clean and affordable, this has been our neighborhood gym for several years now.

The only reason I stay with this gym is its the cheapest one with free weights. The machines are in OK condition at best. There is also just enough free weights to do a workout. So long as you dont mind getting creative at times.

As so many other have stated ..the billing is a nightmare. The person at the front desk (Leslie) made an error in March on our account when we updated the debit card on file. She never did..Resulting in them not being able to charge my card. Fast forward 30 days and now I owe an additional $30 in late fees and am being told it will be reported to my credit. When I called to disputed the fees, I was told the only way they could waive them is if I do not cancel my membership. Not happening! I was forced to pay $51, just to be allowed to cancel. (You cannot cancel with a balance, and you must come in the gym during certain hours, that’s how they get away with continuous billing!) I went in to cancel and speak to the manager, who I was told was here until 7pm. I show up at 5, no manager until tomorrow at 9:30am. So the same person who screwed up the first time is who I’m stuck with. She then proceeds to ask me to sign documents without even showing me..when I requested to see them it was quite the inconvenience for her.Also, worth noting reviews and visitor posts are not allowed on their Facebook page. Red Flag!Buyer Beware!

I will give them two stars only because when I first started going there back in July(minus a couple problems with my account) I actually was happy with blast, but the past two weeks I have been highly unsatisfied. This location on Southern and Alma school, in mesa has had the kids care closed in the evening too often for me liking. I signed up for this gym and paid for the platinum membership because I have 2 kids and found this place a convenient. I HAVEbeen going for the past two weeks and show up at 4:30 only to see the kids care is closed. for example a sign on the door said it is closed in the evening the rest of the week. The manger is never there to explain why and the front desk has no clue what it going on. If this continues on the next couple weeks I will be canceling my membership and give my business to EOS Fitness. Get it together Blast!!!

I went here a few months back and walked out. The staff was young and inattentive. Came back a few months later and the new General Manager was here. He takes such pride in his Job. I saw him painting the Gym himself. He is professional goes out of his way to make all members feel comfortable. If your looking for a place you can waste your money and brag to your friends about wasted amenities, then this is not for you. This is a Gym people come here to work out.

This place bought out Blast Fitness and is still charging me out of my account even tho I have canceled with them. They are no good at getting back to you to resolve any issue.

Very disappointed. When I signed my daughter and I up online, it was clearly stated that we would be getting the benefits of the better membership due to a special they were having. We had gone in to do a tour the day before and also were shown a flyer and told we would be getting all the perks available. We did get those benefits for a couple of months until one day I guess the manager decided she was in a bad mood and informed my daughter (in not a very nice way) we were not signed up for those extra benefits. The main reason we chose this gym over all others was because of the childcare. Now I am paying for a membership I cant use because I watch my granddaughter in the evenings and cant use their childcare. Very unprofessional!

Its not a fancy gym with a pool or sauna but has everything that I need. It has elliptical, StairMaster, free weights and Nautilus. Its never really that crowded and the staff were actually pretty friendly.

I have been a member for over two years and blast has gotten worse. The equipment is never fixed in a timely manner and handles for pulley machines are in short supply. The staff there doesnt seem to care either. The manager is never available to hear my concerns. So in the process of finding a new gym!

Hi just recently transferred from your union hills location to mesa location on southern rd. I wish I didnt transfer. The sauna, locker room, and showers are disgusting. Everything from broken floor in sauna, sauna not cleaned weekley, no one cleaning showers, moping locker room floor,missing shower hooks, low shower pressure, and even staff hanging out with friends till close and not cleaning what need to be cleaned. Been going to this location for a month and regret the shower I took cause I honestly left the gym feeling like I caught something in that locker room. I have no idea whos running this location cause its a joke. honestly thinking of leaving blast and going to a cleaner gym for the same price.

Machines are old they dont have much variety. when I went in to cancel my inscription it was a hassle, I didnt even have a contract or anything and they didnt process my cancellation on time so I got charged for another month and they didnt refund my money even though it was not my fault

I have been coming to this blast about 2 years everything was good. Untill the new mangament they got rid of all the good classes mixxed fitt, kick boxing, Zumba still is avalibe but the class starts at 7:30 where before they had 2 classes in a day 5:30 and 7:30. I have made several suggestions still nothing so I am in the process of looking for another gym to fit my schdule.

Had membership for 2 years. Nightmare to cancel. Ppl saying great staff doesnt know how often theyre turnover is. Saw new faces often in time i was there. 1 star ratings are pretty accurate. Staff they hire are barely college students if that so if its a customer service thing, they wont have it simply because they do not know any better or they would go over all the terms of your contract and/or guide u through cancellation. If signed up, be ready to plan your cancellation with more prep than a divorce hearing lol

Ive been trying to cancel my membership from this place for 8 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I sent the paper they had me fill out over to the ABC financial more then once and they still havent cancelled it for me. So i called blast to have them send me the orginal paper i filled out back in October and they told me everything from last year was thrown out. I asked back in January for them to send me the orginal one from October and they never sent it after calling them from out of state. They werent helpful!!!!!!

So I joined to take the Zumba class. It was okay, but I have had better experiences with Zumba. They only played straight Spanish music the entire time and everything was in spanish. I understand that it is a Latin inspired class, but mix it up like other locations and not just cater to Hispanics. I know that I spoke with other non-hispanics and they stated that they didnt like the non-mixture as well.Other than that the place is nice with new equipment. It wasnt a big showroom for everyone to flex and show their muscles like Golds Gym. I saw people who were there to really get in shape or maintain their shapes.

When I first joined Blast Fitness in Mesa, AZ, it was primarily because of convenience. It was within a mile of my residence, at the time and just as close to where I worked. Several months later, I moved to Phoenix, but I continued my Blast Membership because its location was still convenient to where I worked. In December 2014, I received a promotion at work that required me to relocate to Spokane, WA. Three days before my departure, I called Blast to cancel my membership. This is when Blast Fitness became anything but convenient. I was told that I could not cancel my membership over the phone. Ok, I told the Blast employee that answered the phone, Ill just cancel it online. I was then told that the only way I could cancel my Blast Membership was to come by and speak with the manager. I said, Ill be there in 10 minutes, before she informed me that the manager was not there at this time. Ok, Ill leave him a voice mail. Sir, I already told you, that the only way you can cancel your membership is to come in and speak with the manager.The next day, I stopped by Blast at 10:15 am and was told that the manager was not currently present. I explained that I was moving to Washington state and that I didnt have time to play games. I want to cancel my membership NOW! Again, I was told Ive have to speak with the manager. On the back of my business card I wrote, cancel my membership today, Im moving out of state. I gave the card and said, you tell him to call me, this is ridiculous.Three months passed, the manager never called me and Blast was still drafting my account each month. So I called Blast and I finally got the manager on the phone. I told him what had happened (just as it is in this review), how I had been treated and what I thought of Blast Fitness. He said he would email me the form I needed to complete, in order to cancel my membership. I gave him my email address and had him repeat it back to me, which he did correctly. That was 4 weeks ago and I still dont have the form they say I must complete, in order to cancel my membership. And by the way, my personal email address is on the Blast application I completed when I joined and my business card I left that day before moving, it has my business email address on it. Blast Fitness SHOULD CHANGE THEIR NAME TO LAST BITNESS, because they are the Last Bitness you can expect to treat you fairly when you want to cancel your membership. As for convenience, Blast put the CON in convenience.

Daycare room was disgusting! The floor was filthy! It was literally aroom with a file cabinet, a couple walkers and a chair. Front desk staff told us to go take a look around and find him when we are done. The gym itself looked fine. Equipment not too old. Group room big, but not alot of cycle bikes. Womens only area nice addition. Tanning machines out in the open.... wierd.

Dont go here. Bad business practices, smells like sweat, and they will sell your info to third parties. My wife got some kind of supplement in the mail from a company connected with blast.
