There were items charged to my insurance company that were never done. There were many fraudulent items on the invoice. Items ended up missing or getting thrown out so there was not good management in the entire process. I am now fighting with insurance to get things done that Gateway was paid for but never completed. I would never recommend this company. Adam was a nice guy but am very disappointed in the integrity and honesty of this company.

Gateway took great care of us after our we suffered major water leaks through our roof following a severe storm. They were there within a hour of our calling them to install equipment to dry out the house and prevent further damage, and handled the subsequent abatement process speedily and with good communication. Gateway did a marvelous job on our rebuild. The drywall replacement was seamless! The painting was expert and the workers were on time, cordial, clean and efficient. During the dry out process we were checked in on every day and our kitchen was put back together in an absolutely professional manner. If we ever need restoration work completed again Gateway is our first choice. We recommend them highly!

I worked there for 6 moths before I felt I had to quit. They preach a culture that they don’t practice. The owner Danjee is just a fast talker. Says what you want to hear with no intent to follow through. The manager has almost no industry experience. And it shows in decision making. Knowing how they feel about customers, Id Look into a more reputable restoration company first. They also pay to have negative reviews removed.

Gateway Restoration did a terrific job for us when we experienced a water leak in the master bathroom that affected the adjoining bedrooms. They responded quickly after our call for assistance and removed the items from the rooms and stored our food storage items during the time the rooms could not be used. Adam and Tim were wonderful to work with and Adam assisted us greatly in working with our insurance company to maximum our reimbursement for loss. I can not say enough good about Gateway Restoration and the people we worked with.

I have had leaks in the past that were repaired in our rental home. Gateway Restoration is highly recommended by our family! We have a brand new, 2 story house (less than 6 months old) in which the laundry room is located on the top floor. The drain hose on the washing machine came loose during one of its cycles and flooded the laundry room and the powder room and hallway one first floor below it when it drained. We quickly dried up as much water as possible, but there was a huge concern about water being behind the walls and in between the 2nd level floor and 1st floor ceiling. We called Gateway Restoration to come and access the damage. Adam, Gateway Restoration’s Production Manager was at our house in well less than an hour. He was thorough in his assessment in each room and showed us the moisture levels on his equipment and explained what he was seeing. Turns out it was not bad and he was completely honest in the fact that we were fine and just needed to dry the rooms out. Adam gave us some tips on how to do so and was on his way without any charge. He could have told us we were in a bad situation and needed some or a lot of restoration work done. Using his suggestions, we dried out each room and have not had a problem since. If we ever need services like this again, we will call Gateway Restoration back. I also do recommend them to anyone in our area that needs restoration done. Thank you, Adam and Gateway Restoration!

I had some major water damage caused by an adjoining unit and the restoration company came out (not gateway) were all to eager to start ripping out everything but then they left all my stuff in the house. We didnt hear back from them and so we called Gateway and they immediately took over and did everything that this other company was supposed to do. My stuff was moved out in a hour and Gateway took over the drying. We were given a proper time frame and knew exactly when the Gateway team were going to be coming. I am very pleased with the quality of work and the communication of Gateway. I will call them first if something like this happens again!

Adam responded very quickly to a leak in our living room. He was able to turn off the water, identify the leaking area/pipe, remove (and haul away) the damaged section of ceiling and repair the water leak. Minimal water interruption. Very good service. I choose to use this company due to the mostly positive reviews, but unfortunately we did not have such a positive experience. I gave two stars instead of one because they were able to come the same day I called, within the hour actually, but I later found that even though it was a Monday morning I was charged over two hundred dollars for emergency hours, which I never expressed it was an emergency. So I feel this fee should have been explained before deciding to rush someone over here. It was also great that they started the drying out process the same day as well. We had a dishwasher leak for a few days and it damaged our kitchen island only. The price for ripping out only the toe kick under the sink and ripping off the baseboard on the other side of the pony wall and drying out for 7 days was a little over $2800! Thats crazy in my opinion and that was with a discount bc we paid cash.After they set up equipment it was pretty difficult for me to get a final quote or get someone to call me back or even reply to my emails. The techs would come over and check the moisture levels everyday and I would ask them questions about our bill and they couldnt help. The communication was the worst part about this company. The techs themselves were confused since there was a lot of miscommunication about when to come visit. It was really frustrating. We were also charged for a service we did not receive, the antimicrobial agent. It was fairly cheap, but the problem was that we wanted all steps done to prevent mold and that didnt happen.We attempted to get a quote for the rebuild portion by leaving a message with the company gateway referred but they never called us back.Overall, I hope we dont need these types of services anytime in the future since this field of business seems to take advantage of desperate, high stress situations by overcharging and providing poor customer service throughout the process.

Let me start by saying Adam and his team are incredible. I own a property management company where we manage about 125 properties. When you manage properties theres always something eventful happening in at least one of them. This week we had a property with what ended up being a slab leak. I had a contractor at the property earlier in the day and a slab leak was suspected. Further diagnostics were on the schedule to be done the next day. Around 10pm The Tenant called me after finding the bedroom and Garage soaked with water. Reluctant to call my usual restoration company because of some questionable practices lately, I reached out my contractor who was at the property earlier that day. He recommended Adam without hesitation so I gave him a shot. Not only did Adam answer the phone at 10:30pm, but he was at the property within the hour, found the area of the leak and began the drying process. He kept both myself and my contractor posted on his findings until he finally left the property around 2am. This included text messages and emails with photos of the property condition and approximate leak location. He has followed up With me everyday since just to see if I needed anything and how the repair was progresssing. Finding an honest, reliable, thorough restoration company is no easy task. Weve been through more than our fair share of them. I can honestly say this has hands down been the best experience Ive ever had with restoration company. Dont bother calling anyone else - these are your guys!

For my kitchen repair, Gateway Restoration (GR) was a tale of two halves. The demolition phase was great, the repair phase wasn’t.The first phase was fantastic. GR came out every night. GR was motivated, communicative and each GR employee that came into the house was very friendly. After two weeks the first phase was over. Then everything came to a screeching halt.For the next 6 months it was a grind. It was difficult to motivate Gateway to finish the job. Then I got word the 1st Project Manager (PM) left GR. Over the course of the next several months I called the PM multiple times, asking for updates, ANYTHING. He would return calls within 24-72 hours. I remember one conversation vividly where the PM told me there simply wasn’t any money in the job for GR to finish it. The margins were too small. Huh? The second Repair PM never did come out to visit, see how the repair was going. Nothing. Who was holding the contractors accountable for their work? Bottom line, if you have a small kitchen repair and are considering Gateway I cannot in good conscience recommend them. They didn’t want to finish the job, I had a feeling the entire time that I was not a priority, no visit from the Repair Project Manager, no accountability for their contractors and being told there is no money in this job for GR - I can’t recommend Gateway to anyone. Two stars for the awesome front end service, Zero for the repair portion of the job.Pros:Adam, Shannon, the demo team and the front office team were fantastic. Got things done and were responsive.Cons:Oh boy. Once the money making portion of the job was complete I felt like a project number on the bottom of the pile. The bulk of the project (5 1/2 months) fell to the rebuild/repair crew. And it was like pulling teeth. Two project managers, slow response time to calls, questions and problematic customer service. Little to no follow up to see if their repairmen were doing a satisfactory job. I clearly wasn’t a priority to them - telling your customer there is no margin in this job is the wrong thing to say. I need to correctly hook the sink up now after GR’s contractor did it incorrectly. It should have gone smoother than this, right?Glad this ordeal is over.

We had a very minor leak in our master bathroom toilet flange. Adams team unnecessarily ripped out all the tile on the floor and walls of our toilet room, when removing one or two 18 inch tiles would have been sufficient. It stunk of insurance fraud. His team also ripped out a replacement flange that another plumber had installed after Adams guys started their demolition. I brought it to their attention, and they ignored it. It was a $450 flange that they ripped out. Now they are trying to charge me an arbitrary $100 late fee, 5 weeks after their initial bill. I am never dealing with them again.
