I understand that times are a bit rough at the moment, but maybe keeping up the early schedules up to date could help with the whole experience, including if and when vehicles are not available
The Ford Explorer that I rented had only 200 miles on it, brand new! Beautiful vehicle. One that I drove as if it were mine. The most important aspect of the rental was that it was several hundred dollars less than any other company! Also, easy pick up and return.
I rented a vehicle here on the 9th or March. Paid with my bank debit card and was charged for the 2 days I initially wanted the vehicle for. I ended up keeping the rental for more days and paid over the phone through my bank debit card and was charged all fees, taxes and insurance through them. Every charge showed up on my account and I returned the vehicle on the day it was supposed to be returned. The next day, I checked my bank account and was horrified to see that I had a negative balance of 723.94! They charged me the whole total on top of the charges I already paid for the days I had the rental vehicle! Their customer service could not help me and instead tried to shift blame on my bank, saying that I wasnt charged and they were all pending charges that should return back to normal. I went to my bank and they printed out the copies of all charges and said it wasnt pending at all, they actually paid the money out to Budget rentals and they did indeed charge me a third time for no apparent reason! End result, I still have a negative balance and Ill have to deal with the 38.50 penalty for having a negative balance because Budget rentals decided to charge me more money on top of what I paid already and claim that they didnt. This rental car agency is a scam! Do not rent from them. They dont even have an address for a Corporate office. They will rip you off and tell you lies about the charges being pending and not posted on your account even if you bring the proof and paperwork from your bank!

Bad bussiness practices, rude employees, posible attept at credit card fraud. Avoid at all costs.I Made a reservation. Went to pick up the car... They put a $300 hold on my card, then told me they couldnt rent to me because of some debit card issue . i showed them that not only was there well over 10k in the account, but the charges had in fact gone through sucsessfully. If you dont have any cars available dont make up bogus stories to try to cover it up. And if that is all just part of the scam; to charge people without actally providing a sevice, good luck not getting caught by the law. took a week and a half to get my money back and promptly changed my card number. Seems like there is someone very dishonest working here. I went to antother rental car company down the street and had no issues whatsoever and a better price.
I went to this place with so much confidence,I left my phone at the house.boy was that a mistake.turns out if your paying with a debit card in the office you need to have a required credit score.budget car rentals website needs to be updated.no where on the website says you need the credit score your asking.i would have never wasted my time and your time if budget car rentals website was updated and running correctly.
I got Charged $17.00 for gas even i return the car with full tank!
Always have had the best experience with Avis/Buget car rental at 529 S Country Club Dr in Mesa Az. Allen and his co-workers are always extremely helpful. I can have a reservation booked o.r just call at the last minute and their always there for my needs and expectations.Allen as well as his staff are always upfront with the charges to be expected,I never have faced any hidden charges. The vehicles are well maintained, and clean. I would definitely rent from them again and again and highly recommend Avis/Budget car rental to anyone. They all rock!
Budget gave me the best pricing out of all 4 places I tried. Not only that, I drove a brand new Jeep and it ran perfectly. It made my trip from Jefferson City, Missouri to Payson, Arizona very comfortable and enjoyable. Next time I need a rental car, Ill only make one call and thats to BUDGET. My many thanks to you! 👍😎
I have been renting from budget for a year now with my debit card and now they are requesting that we pay a 150 deposit for rentals and I was over charged when I booked waiting on my deposit to come back and my over charge amount I have brought alot of business to budget even when I got into my car accident I even referred the insurance company to them to book my reservation over enterprise and enterprise had just only a 50 dollar deposit but I still chose to book with budget overall Im a bit upset due to the constant changes in policies not cool budget u guys need to do better

I think he could tell I was very anxious about whole experience as our flight had been changed and it meant we had to pick the auto up at a later time. He put me at ease both at pickup and returning it. He allowed me to return much closer to the airport also which really helped us. He is the reason I would recommend Budget in this area. I had to leave a star to write a review and I should have read the reviews but First the car was dirty inside and out Then the key battery died and left us without being able to use it till roadside came to unlock it then after returning it paid and left but a whole week later there was more charges to my card with no explanation no call just charging my card without permission fraud sneaky and unprofessional

I I am a local Phoenix resident my vehicle broke down and I needed a rental car. However after going through your convoluted system being transferred to some erroneous agent by computer and then he sending me to somebody that still is not a location. Ultimately because your locations don’t have the common courtesy to stay open additional 15 minutes for somebody to take care of business You lost my business. Because of the situation I quite frankly would never recommend budget to any Of my business partners. And if I have my way Bhate environmental Will pull their account as a result of this

I really like it and the I rented was great first time I rent a car in many years and its was a change from catching the bus the car was very clean low on mileage and drive very smooth two thumbs up.
I got a decent enough rate but one reason for the lower rating is the car was dirty. Like hard to see out of the windows dirty. Second is that when I rented it, they told me to be sure and let them know if I wanted to keep it for another day. They neglected to tell me there was an additional $10 charge for that. Seriously. What could be the reason to charge me more because I was going to keep it another day? They are already getting an extra days rental?!? The only thing I could think of is that they may have been able to rent it out at a higher rate but thats just maybe if someone else came in and rented it. Its excessive charging because they can. And not disclosing it before I rented it is not right. I could have reserved if for several days and returned it early with no penalty, apparently, which I would have done had I known. I know, its only $10 but still...boo hiss, Budget. Not cool.

The customer service is excellent. The car was clean and he even showed me how to start the car because it is a Volkswagen jetta.
I have tried 3 different times to rent from here, twice was a rental car and once for a moving truck. None of the attempts were successful even tho I asked before making the reservation. One time I even prepaid but was denied a rental and wasnt able to get a refund.
Larry and Allen fixed a huge issue I had with a rental truck that a different rental location messed up on. They went the extra mile and figured out the exact way to get me the correct price and fixed the problems on from the other location.
Consistently happy with budget car rentals. Had many issues with enterprise and will no longer use them. Budget has proven time and time again why I should give them my business. I wont even try other rental companies anymore.
Give Budget a look. This location and staff was easy to work with, no high pressure sales, easy and simple. I was in and out in under 20 minutes around 3PM.

When I came in to pick up the car, there was nothing left, but an F150. I was not shown what the car looked like. I did not know it was a big truck. Airport rentals are not picked up in the same location as the rental office. Since it was 2AM, I agreed to take the truck. I tried to manage with the truck, but it was very uncomfortable. I called the following day and Budget told me to go to the nearest location and exchange the car. I was given another car. When it came to returning the car, I called to find out if it could dropped at another location other than the airport. I was told of the nearest address of a Budget location near me. When I arrived at the Budget in Mesa, the gentleman came outside, looked at my agreement, and did an inspection. He then drove the car to the lot and told me to meet him inside. At that point, he said that I owed $25.00 for dropping the car in another location. He then added that I had to pay $7.00 tax. So, I said to the gentleman, I will drive to the airport instead and avoid these fees, to which I was told that I could not drive the car because he had already closed out the agreement. I was not asked before closing the agreement, if I wanted the option to take the car back. In addition, I was not informed on the phone that there would be a fee in the first place. I tried to call Budget two times about this matter, and I have gotten no help. I am going to give them a bad review on Yelp and other online surveys. I will not use their company again.

Wow two hour waits and everyone ended up storming out because each one had issues and couldnt rent the car they had reserved. Of course I didnt think that would happen to me cuz I paid in advance and had my rental reserved for 2 months in advance but I too walked out with no rental with only three hours till I left for our family vacation. But enterprise pulled through and made it happen within 30 min. Please do not waste you time and just go with enterprise from the beginning. I have learned my lesson.

They over charged me from the price quoted. Gave me a car with 2 tires that leaked out air and had to put air in them daily, oil change light came on no more than 5 miles down the road after picking the vehicle up. On top of all that one of the tires blew while I was driving and I had to wait in the hot sun for over 2 hours before they handled the problem since god forbid they rent out a car that actually has a spare tire in it to begin with which made me miss a day of work. They then charged my card again almost a month later claiming I am responsible for the tire blowing. I have called multiple times to talk with managers and every time they refuse to have supervisors call me back and the one time they actually did call me I missed their call and had a message on my voicemail basically stating “whatever the issue is must not be that important to you so if you want you can call back the store and talk to them” so 1 missed call after hours of calls and hold times to be told in a voicemail to call the same ignorant people you already talked with that refused you a supervisor to begin with. This place lacks common decency and holds onto card information well after you have already dropped off their crummy car, my advice is to take the bus over dealing with the FRAUD charges they will hit you with. Pathetic customer service!!

This place is the worst. Whom ever created the “reservation” system needs a refresher on the word reservations. I reserved one truck and one car trailer 3 weeks in advance, upon arrival I was informed there are no trailers and the solution to this is, “I’ll try to find one for you”, like it’s a favor or something! No asshats, I RESERVED a trailer.So I never did get the trailer, so I settled for a car dolly. In true Budget fashion, I go back to pick up the dolly and the connections are no good. Here I am, attempting to move my family to Texas only to be sitting at Budget waiting.....I will not ever ever ever ever use Budget ever again. I dont understand all the bad reviews. Place is dated sure, the staff was helpful and car was ready as promised. Car was thrashed outside and the attendant assured me it was fine Its from the airport ok... who cares it is a rental! Dropped it off with no issues.
Refused to rent me a vehicle because my credit card did not have a uv mark. Refused to even call MasterCard to validate my card. Just used it a few months back at another branch with no issues. Will never do business with that branch.
I rented this truck in Utah and drove to Arizona. I dropped off the truck on a Thursday evening in Mesa with a full tank. I noticed a $64.84 charge on my account. I called budget to find out what it was for. The agent told me it was for gas. I put $80.00 in gas in the truck before I dropped it off and the tank was full. He told me sorry someone must have siphoned the gas out when the truck sat on our lot. He told me they had to put $20.00 in gas in the truck to take it back to a full tank. They charged me $64.84 for $20.00 worth of gas that is robbery. Be careful when renting from budget. I work in customer service and I would never treat someone this way.
Just drove here from Casa Grande, AZ on an emergency basis to get a car before closing. Arrived just before closing only to find out I couldnt rent a car with a debit card (need a credit card to get a credit score....why that is relevant I have no idea) which wouldve been helpful to know before driving here. The guy at the desk showed me a sign about the credit card issue so I guess that makes every okay. Thats what I get for not using Enterprise Rent a car. Wont happen again.
Great service and prices
I live very close to the Budget office on Country Club, so I was able to walk to the office to pick up the vehicle. I loved the car I got (2015 Kia with all the bells and whistles.) The car was clean, smelled fresh, and was economical on gas. The employees were courteous and efficient and I was out the door and into the car within 10 minutes of arrival. I did pre-pay the car so the pick up was probably faster.
Overcharged us and gave our family a dangerous car that blew a tire and almost flipped the car on the freeway!They are willing to put you and your childrens lives in danger for a few extra$
The location and facility isnt glamorous, but got a good price, and very nice upgrade. Have rented at this office about a half dozen times and have never had a problem. They do seem to be understaffed, but still worth recommending and continuing to use.

I made a reservation online, but when I went in to pick up the truck they said they couldnt take my prepaid debit card. I still cant find anything that says they dont take Netspend on their website. THEN they charged me 50 dollars, as a no show, when I certainly showed up. Now they claim it will take 5 to 7 business days to credit the charge for THEIR mistake. OBVIOUSLY they CAN process a Netspend card, since they charged me.Their customer service department was helpful, a was the site manager today. I still dont have my money back however.
Car and service was good but when we ask for another week the rent would have to $400 a week
I prepaid my rental a month in advance when I went to pick it up they said it showed but was not applying they did not know why. In trying to fix it they charged me 3 times. They assured me they were voided...they were not and I spent the entire weekend in Las Vegas with 40 dollars because they had taken 547 dollars from my account. Upon my return the manager called customer service and said it was resolved and that all but 92 dollars for the insurance would be refunded. Tuesday all was refunded..Wednesday another 215 dollars was withdrawn from my account. The manager will not return my calls customer service transfers me to everyone under the sun then disconnects. I will continue to fight for my money and will never ever do business with budget again. Plus if I have my way neither will my coworkers.

Could be better, could be worse. Not as bad as what some of the other reviewers experienced, but I can see where this place could use some work and their timing and service. One worker was in the office when I went to pick up my moving truck, and there was one group ahead of us taking forever to rent a car. The work gave me the insurance form to sign and didnt tell me until Id waited at least ten minutes for him to step away from the other customers to tell me that I was supposed to call my insurance company. If you rent, be ready to call your company to see if they cover rentals. At least he eventually gave me the number to call. I wish Budgets insurance thing was cheaper, or that you got a discount on it for renting for multiple days.I also wish that if I decided to add days to my rental because the move was taking so long that I could do so with just a phone call, not a late fee. Moving is stressful and I wish that Budget didnt add to that stress with the fees and add-ons.Overall the renting and returning process could have been faster, but at least it didnt take an hour each time. Im glad I used the online reservation system, because it seems like its hard to get a truck if you dont. Reserve early! Oh, and a day of truck rental is counted for each 24 hours. If you return the truck after 24 hours, you get charged for an extra day. I would like to see them prorate the extra time, or at least give you a certain amount of leeway, such until closing on the day its due.Ive had another moving truck renter mess up my reservation in horrible ways, but at least Budget didnt mess up. Id rent a moving truck from them again, unless I find something better, without all the add-ons, and with good deals.
Only place that will rent you a car if you dont have a credit card. Not everyone has credit card so thank you for your services.

The customer service in the place is horrible, from the people at the counter to the customer service reps on the phone. This is my first ever experience with this company. I have one more rental this coming friday for a car not a truck this time, i am hoping its better. The website needs to match store accommodations better. This location has no customer parking! The guy told me i could park at the uhal place about .5 a mile up and walk back but still no guarantee they wont tow my car. There is no mention of after hours drop off charge on the website. I dropped off at 6pm and 2 days later still had not heard anything about final sale costs, called the store gpt hung up on, called back was sent to customer service and proceeded to be transfered 5 times before getting someone that could send me a receipt and listen to my concerns. The guy on the phone was very short with me also and simply said he put the notes in the managers will review it .

They tell you 33 a day then add 4 different kinds of tax which comes to over 50 a day and realized I was charged for an optional roadside I never needed or wanted nor did I even discuss having which was 7 a day and was told its to late to have anything done or to be refunded.
