SERVICE GREAT, nice staff at the airport! Car cleanliness...NOT SO GREAT! Rented a van end of July 2021 and unfortunately the van was NOT clean. Leftover pamphlets from previous renter, handprints all over the inside of the windows, food crumbs on seat. Maybe CLEANLINESS should be a top requirement before a staff member releases the vehicle for rental??!!
Excellent customer service. Gave me the correct size vehicle and didnt try to make me upgrade. Discussed insurance but never pushed it. Only downfall was the vehicle was not the greatest and the needs service(oil filter at 0%) but I know these cars just get cycled through. All in all I would definitely rent from them again.
When I checked in the man was very professional and nice. When I checked the car back into returns the three people working were not so nice or friendly. We ask for a ride over to the airport and they told us we could walk as it was right across the road. It was 114 degrees and we had three big suitcases. Finally the guy said he could give us a compliment ride once but that was it. We told him we just needed to be dropped of at the airport if they didnt have buses to take you over. Finally they came out n first off the one lady said you have a dent on fender n I told her it was there when we rented it. She said do you have pics. I said yes I do, but you should have it on records as well. I also said I bought you full coverage insurance so I am not responsible for your damage your company didnt fix before this. The other girl said it is marked on the door of car about the damage. Finally we got took to airport and dropped off. Never will Alamo be my rental car company.
Excellent service at a difficult time.After a horrible experience with another rental car agency (named for a distant relative of a canine) where my family arrived at Sky Harbor at 11 pm only to be told that this cheaper alternative had no more cars.The next day I spent some time doing some online searching and found a good price with Alamo out of the Mesa Gateway Airport.The women that waited on my was very pleasant and helpful. When I told her that I was actually flying out of Sky Harbor, not Mesa Gateway, she was able to get the car for an extra day as well as letting me return it to Sky Harbor for just a few more dollars.Last time I ever try to save a couple of bucks and not go with a company that Ive used multiple times and had great experiences with.
5 stars for the check out and drop off experience at Mesa Gateway Airport. 1 star for the attempt to extend our rental at the same rate as the original booking (which the manager at the airport said we could do on the phone). Instead the rate was over double, so we made arrangements to drop the car off at the original time. We have managed without the car and Alamo lost those extra rental days.

I am an Alamo Insider. My drivers license and credit card information is on file with Alamo. In preparation for my recent car rental, the Alamo app invited me to save time at the counter by inputting my drivers license and credit card information, which I did. Despite all this, I had to provide my drivers license and credit card again at the counter, and I had to wait in a long line to do it. Alamo keeps promising that it will make my rental experience easier and faster. Indeed there was a time when kiosks allowed me to skip the line and quickly get my rental car. But those kiosks were roped off and unavailable. It seems there is little or no value to the Alamo Insider program because it saves no time, and makes the rental experience no easier than it is for non-Alamo insider members.
I rent a pickup truck a couple times per year and always get excellent service and a nice rental.
Worst rental experience ever, was told I couldnt have the convertible I reserved online, through priceline. Rental companies are mixed, it doesnt matter who you reserve from, alamo or enterprise. Manager wouldnt come out of office to talk to me, even though they were not busy, airport was empty by the time we got done.Thanks Celina, or was it coughing Karen? Car rental went smooth at pickup from airport. Car was great clean new Nissan Altima. But on way to return to airport, rock came from overpass and hit our windshield causing a crack.informed lady when we returned it and she took down information. We were never given a final receipt at return. I contacted my credit card company because they are taking care of any expenses but can’t seem to get the information I need from Alamo on amount of damage to windshield or final rental agreement. If they want paid for damages I need all this information.Mark Halter
From the moment we started booking everyone was polite and professional. We booked last March and had to cancel. We rebooked for this April. The agent at Phoenix was on hand to answer on my questions. This was my first time ever renting a car. The car was clean and gas for us. Upon return the agent was super nice and asked if I gas up the car. Then she process the car and I received the Email. Great experience we had. We will use them again.
I normally dont post neutral/negative reviews, but this trip there was very little service recovery done on my quite expensive Luxury car rental. - Ill try break down highs and lows in the long review.Goods! - Friendly staff at the airport counter, quick efficient service at the actual car pickup booth. Easy to find the cars from the airport (no shuttles, everything is right in easy walking distance).Room for improvement... - I rented a luxury CAR - I was expecting a Cadillac XTS or similar. - When I got to the counter they didnt have any Cars - Just a Cadillac XT5 SUV and some Volvo XC60? - SUVs - I rented wanting something FAST, FUN and easy to drive. - Instead I got an SUV that had mediocre performance and was stained up (Stains on the headliner by the visors).Have the cars you promise available with the rentals! - I did inquire about a CT6/XTS type Cadillac, but was told those were Ultra Luxury or something and would cost about double. - The XT5 worked fine for what we needed, but for the $ I paid, I expected more than a 45-50K Cadillac.Bad... - We picked it up with 29827 miles - I drove it to the place we stayed - when I got up the next morning to drive I noticed the fuel was down 1/4 tank! (3/4 remaining) - I had driven only 17 miles! - I took a picture, but from my estimate it had to have been down about 4-5 gallons from full when I got it! - I returned it full when I returned it and mentioned to the Check-out guy that it wasnt full (thinking heres a great opportunity for them to provide some excellent service) and instead he just kind of blew off the comment.This $553.95 rental I had from Saturday around 2:30 until Wednesday 5:45AM (3 1/2 days) should have been perfect. - My last rental of a Ford Expedition MAX Limited (ironically from Alamo at John Wayne Airport for a FULL WEEK cost only $392.81) - The Ford Expedition retails around 70K (Way more than this Luxury rental this trip).There were stains in the headliner of the Cadillac, the right front door passive unlock stuff wasnt working, the light on the handle wast working (Something wrong where I couldnt just walk up the passenger side and get in without unlocking with the keyfob). - I mentioned that at return and again was somewhat ignored. - I get theyre busy, but this was a top dollar rental, and I didnt get a top dollar experience.The whole experience comes down to service recovery... - I rented a van from a competitor in Denver last new years. - The fuel door had some little broken post that took a bit to figure out how to open. - I mentioned it at the checkout (so they would get it fixed for the next person hopefully) and they were very apologetic and knocked $20 off of my rental. - Thats how it should be. - Thats not what I got with Alamo at the Mesa Gateway Airport.
Highway and extra hour because they were backed up when we got there they would even NE didnt even get the rent a car and he wasnt as good as the beetle
I had a great experience with Alamo in the Phoenix-Mesa Airport. I arrived at midnight and didn’t think the counter was going to be open. I had planned to Uber to my hotel and Uber back in the morning. However, they were open and the wonderful woman at the counter was able to get me a car (upgraded) right away. She was so helpful. The return process was completely hassle free as well.
Fast and easy to use. I came in at midnight and they were very nice and had everything ready. Drop off was a breeze. Very satisfied.
Alamo is always a very good rental company. this particular event at the Phoenix/Mesa Gateway airport, march 2021 they were severely understaffed. However the employees maintained their professionalism even being understaffed and under equipped as far as availability goes. I would continue to use them as my car rental company.
First I would just like to say thank you for making our rental beyond easy. I have never rented a car and was extremely nervous. I had the app and did all the pre check in info beforehand. I rented and paid in advance for a nissan or similar I got a free upgrade to a 2020 audi Quattro. Thank you that made our trip worth it. We had after hours drop off early in the morning we had no issues with that. No hidden fees etc. Will definitely only rent from alamo if I ever need to again. Only complaint would be our GPS we paid extra for never worked and couldnt get that resolved and needed more help at rental counter seemed everyone wanted to speak with a manager so wait times extremely long.
The most unprofessional people I have ever met. I have been in customer service for over 10 years and know how to handle customers when situations arise. I was traveling with my eight-month-old for the first time and reserved my car at the wrong airport and Alamo refused to help me unless I paid over $200 more for the “help”. I then had to spend $50 on Uber to get to the Mesa location to pick up my rental and when I got there I asked the lady for help for when I need to drop it off a few days later and if I could do it at the location I’m flying out of and all she did was say that it was my fault and it will be over $200 for her help. I then call the customer service line and they say the same thing. That is not customer service! I had to pay another $50 for an Uber after I dropped of the car at the Mesa location to get back to the PHX airport. I don’t know what kind of business model Alamo uses, but it’s not the right one. They could have simply helped me, but they chose not to, and therefore I will never rent through them again!
Horrible experience with them for the second time now. Spoke with customer service agent two weeks prior to our trip both my wife and myself called to confirm all details. Got off our flight denied service because woman at front desk was highly rude and got upset because previous customer had cussed her out immediately as we walked to her being the next customers she was very rude so we asked to speak with supervisor and got told he was not there. And our car was given away without replacement

This place was awesome!! Our flight was delayed so we decided to extend our car rental 3 extra hours. It cost about $70 because it was like adding another day to the rental. When we dropped the car off, the Alamo attendant said he would waive the extra $70!!!! We were so excited!! Thank you Alamo for the unexpected surprise!! You are the BEST!!!

Reservation was made through Allegiant, Alamo had the best price.The only extra charge I got charged for after turning in our vehicle was $2.97 for gasoline. We filled up, drove less then 10 mile and still was charged for 7 tenths of a gallon. Whatever

When picking up our rental, on 9/28 at 1.30pm and checking in online to save time at the counter, the counter was temporarily closed and the girl at the National counter was handling both windows.2 people out of the 9 waiting in the Alamo line got helped but there rest of us were skipped for a person who walked up to the National line, getting served at the very next opportunity.When hubby and I questioned the worker on why she was skipping us, as we would have been next, she ignored us and continued to wait on the person who just walked up.When it was mercifully our turn again, she explained that she let him go first because see how quick he was? as if its nothing that we had to wait even longer.Then she even went on to say that she didnt skip us at all because she takes one from the Alamo line and then one from the National line, which, Im sure, was very comforting to the 6 people still in line behind us.The car was fine but the counter experience was so horrible, due to nobody being there for the Alamo line, that its unlikely Ill rent from them again.

Arrived to pick up our vehicle and the ladies at the counter were so cheerful. My flight came in almost midnight so I was surprised to see they were still there. I asked if I could grab my car now instead of the morning as requested and after looking it up to see that I was paying a week rate, that would include that day...it was no problem. She hooked me up and sent me to retrieve my assigned vehicle. That lady, again very pleasant, gave us our directions to locate it and sent us on our way. The whole experience was smooth.

Alamo Rental Car MESA Gateway Airport is claiming the vehicle I rented during the week of December 29, 2019 - January 6, 2020 has hail damage. The weather was a bit overcast when we first arrived but it never rained, much less hailed!?! Not to mention the vehicle was garaged while we were there. Otherwise we had clear blue skies and beautiful weather!As a former insurance adjuster I am very familiar with what hail damage looks like. I notice every little ding/dent and scratch as I know how expensive auto repairs can be. There was no damage other than a small scuff on the bumper which I took a photo of before I left the lot. Btw, no one even bothered to walk me to the vehicle to inspect before I left. A lady did check me in when I returned the car and said everything was fine. So as one can imagine my surprise to receive an email claiming damages! I assumed it was a mistake, but several calls back and forth with the manager and he is sticking to his story and telling me I should have bought the damage waiver.As a former adjuster and I am also very familiar with what FRAUD looks like. Accordingly I have filed a complaint with Costco Travel (since I reserved the vehicle through their online reservation system) I am also reporting the claim to the Arizona Insurance Commission and I will be notifying everyone I know of this scam on social media, etc.After a quick search online it appears this is a common scam. Consider yourself warned if you rent from them. No matter who you rent from TAKE PHOTOS AT TIME OF PICK UP/DROP OFF and INSIST an attendant INSPECT and SIGN OFF to whether there is/isn’t damage and save yourself this very expensive and time consuming headache!

I rented from Mesa Airport in Phoenix. It was so easy and fast. The car was perfect and returning it was the easiest rental return I have ever experienced. I will rent from them again.
We rented the car out of the Alamo station at the Gateway Airport in Mesa, AZ. Pick up of car and return were no problem, access to and from the airport is pretty easy. The car was smaller than I expected but for the two of us, it was okay. The only problem we had was a neighbor across the street from where we were staying backed into the car. We did not purchase insurance from Alamo and wont in the future as my insurance is supposed to cover rental cars. ( We will see how that goes.) My insurance information and the other drivers information were all given to Alamo, so we will see where it goes from there. It has only been a week, so it is too soon to tell if there are going to be any problems. I gave 4 stars only because of the ongoing insurance resolution involving Alamo and two insurance companies. I am sure that the insurance companies will resolve it. Without the damage problem, which was not Alamos fault, I would have given 5 stars.
I was left stranded without a car due to state/airport policy even after their 1-800 number reconfirmed while I was standing there. The employee who helped me refused to let me speak with the manager nor would she give me a 1-800 number to discuss the matter with. I had very little battery left in my phone and was denied access to a phone to call for a ride. She got the manager the second time then denied what she told me the first round of discussions.
Easy pickup at Mesa airport. They didnt have our arranged vehicle back on the lot yet, but the girls provided us with an upgrade in a short time. Very pleasant staff that offered water after a long flight.A bit more confusing at Phoenix airport, parking garage can be difficult and dark to figure out. I went to self kiosk as line was long...lady was pleasant helping out with answers. Was supposed to receive a free upgrade but never got one and had the use of a small Elantra for rest of week. I get home and I get an offer for a free upgrade the next time I rent...hmmm seems like they forgot about it on my original trip. Oh well. Otherwise, Alamo was good.
Extremely pleased with my recent experience with Alamo at the Mesa-Phoenix airport. Arrived around midnight and after a bit of a wait (it was spring break and many folks needed cars), we were swiftly directed to our car, a Chevy Impala. The car was immaculate. Only issue was that the tank wasnt completely full.Returning was even easier with a very expedient check in.
I booked my car rental with my airline ticket and paid at that time. I was charged an additional $41 when I got the car with no explanation of the additional charges. Guess I won’t be back to Alamo
The check-in went smooth and I appreciated the friendly and nice people both at the counter and when we picked up the car.I was disappointed with the car. It was suppose to be a mid-size car and I do not believe we received one. In the past we have received much nicer cars at that size level.I still have an issue with the extra money ($70) that they added on at the airport when we picked up the car. It does not seem right and you have no choice but to pay it. If it said there were additional charges when picking up the car when I was making the reservations, I did not see it.

Pulling the “there’s a scratch”. They never reviewed the car in Flagstaff and mows there’s a scratch. Sounds like they knew there’s a scratch and want someone to pay for it. Won’t be using this service every again.
We recently rented a vehicle from Alamo at the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and were pleasantly surprised when we were given a large SUV instead of the smaller SUV we ordered. Dealing with Joseph at the counter was a pleasure and he was very professional and courteous in his answers to our questions . Pickup and drop off was very convenient.The bottle of water upon arrival was also appreciated. All staff we dealt with were very helpful and readily answered any questions about the vehicle.The vehicle we rented was excellent, roomy, great ride and very fuel efficient which made our visit to Arizona much more enjoyable.Based on our experience we would definitely rent from Alamo again.
Service great had issues with car. Need better cars for mountainous states. Little car did not like freeway ramps. No pickup and seat kept readjusting while I was driving!

May 2014 Agents were very polite and helpful. I would caution Alamo to check the tire inflation before releasing a vehicle. I, unfortunately, had a bad tire on the first car; the second vehicle, each tire was 12 lbs under inflated. Also, please explain the advantages of purchasing the insurance from Alamo.April 2016 Another rental -- went smooth as silk. Agent extremely polite and helpful. Provided a Cadillac which handled super and rode very well. Returning the vehicle was a snap. Thank-you for great service and a wonderful car!
Our recent experience with Alamo started a bit rocky, Id confirmed a premium vehicle and was downsized at the counter. When we went to the lot we saw 2 premium vehicles available so HUGE thanks to the lady at the lot who understood our dilemma of 6 adults, child in car seat and luggage were not going to fit into a Ford Explorer and assigned us to a Chevy Suburban. The rest of the weeks experience with the vehicle and returning it was great!
The Alamo rental car agency in Mesa was awesome to work with. They worked with me to upgrade my vehicle to an SUV when they heard I was going to be doing some camping. The agent was very helpful and check out and check in was quick and easy. I will definitely use the Alamo in Mesa again.

So I got charged more for Insurance I didnt even need or want than I paid to rent the vehicle. They bait you in with a good deal but after youve already paid for the rental they tack on extra fees. I was charged the $25 per day of insurance plus an extra almost $150 in insurance fees and that was the basic option. The process was easy, just over double what I was told I would pay and, therefore, over twice what I budgeted hit my account.

I have rented vehicles several times now when I have come out to Mesa. I include the rental of the vehicle when I am purchasing my airline tickets. I am always pleased with the vehicle I get. The drop off is very simple. The pick up only takes awhile if there is a long line for car pickups, once I get to the desk, it really doesnt take long to finish the paper work & get on the road. Staff is friendly & helpful

I wish I could remember the name of the lady at the desk at the Mesa airport. She was absolutely wonderful. Our flight was so late arriving. She was so friendly and went out of her way to get us out the door quickly. And she gave us her card in case we had any issues along with maps and some cookies! Our car was upgraded as there were no sedans available (what a nice surprise)! It was an immaculate almost new SUV with great gas mileage. I’ll be renting from Alamo again in the future.

Had reservations at 5am and no one was there. After calling Alamo I was given an weak excuse of them opening at 5am but wouldn’t service customers until 530am. Whats the point of even having a 5am reservation then! 530am comes around and again no one is there and more excuses. Was told I would just have to wait until someone shows up and I would be compensated for the inconvenience. Customer service said they would add a note to compensate me on my reservation. Cause me to be late. When I finally got the rental there was no compensation. All I wanted was a straight answer. Not excuses to string me along and never following through on things that were said. I would recommend going else where outside of this airport for a rental. I held up my end.. Alamo has failed to make it right by not showing up on time and giving the compensation that was said. I get the person running the counter could be running late or what not, but be honest about it. I would have still rated high. I suggest using a different service or Hertz. Alamo, National and Enterprise are together there and you may get bad service from all 3.
Do not rent from the airport if you can help it!!! The taxes are astronomically more just because they can get away with it. I had to go through 5 different people and hear 5 different prices before having to be sent to escalations out of frustration after already having my vehicle. They are scam artists! Look elsewhere.
Alamo at Mesa Gateway was great, the best. Great people, great service. When we arrived it was extremely busy, a very long line at the counter. However a really nice gentleman, intercepted us and pointed out if we used the kiosk machine, we could speed things us a bit. Took just a minute or two and we were done. Nice ladies outside had cold bottles of water for us, our keys, and we were gone. Thanks Alamo.
Quick, easy and friendly. After we checked in and went to get car the attendant saw we had a couple grandkids in tow and insisted we upgrade (for free) to a full size 4 door car. Glad she did!
I will not use Alamo again for my rental car company.After I had already prepaid, charged an additional $77 plus an additional$44 when the attendant said it would be only $20.Too many unexpected charges with Alamo
This was the first time I have rented a vehicle. I was a little apprehensive at first, but it was so convenient and the employees were extremely helpful. I will rent a vehicle again the next time I visit the Phoenix area. Makes the trip easier when one doesnt have to depend on someone else to drive you around. What could be better than to just walk across the street to the airport and get through security. Thanks to all of the employees who helped with directions.
Will never use Alamo again. Flew into Phoenix-Mesa and thought I had paid up front. I generally read thing thoroughly and didnt notice anything about being charged more for insurance once I picked up the car. Its a scam. I budgeted for what had already been taken from my account. I had no choice but to pay an additional $160 (the rental I paid for online was $133) unless I wanted to be stranded in a foreign state with nowhere to go. Not acceptable, Alamo. Not one bit.

We were very happy with both vehicles that we rented in Mesa. Our son came in during our stay and rented a vehicle from Enterprize that smelled so bad from cigarette smoke we has to let it sit for five days. No such issue with our Alamo rentals. Also our flight was two hours late for our second rental and the staff stayed and waited for us, was very courteous and helpful. Thanks Alamo!

My wife and I have been renting cars at Mesa Gateway regularly now for over 5 years. Every time the service has been awesome. The staff is always friendly and they also remember us each time. The parking lot is close by, the attendant always has cold water for us and the drop off is fast and convenient. And the rates are pretty good as well. Thanks to the friendly staff at Mesa Gateway!!!

The Alamo Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The process of getting the car was so efficient and very organized. They also let us extend our car rental for 10 hours without extra charge! what a bonus!!!
I have never rented from Alamo before and my experience was the best Ive ever had in car rentals. I was leary since my plane arrived late at Phoenix/Mesa airport. I had no issues at all. I was able to get checked in before my luggage arrived on baggage claim. Even though I had prepaid online, I was impressed that they still checked proper documentation to protect my identity. The booth agent had a bottle of water for me, very much appreciated. He had the keys ready. Very swift and efficient. The type of vehicle was just what I expected. Roomy, comfortable, clean, and new. When I returned the vehicle, it was easy and efficient. Very friendly, courteous and helpful staff. Alamo is now my car rental of choice.
Perfectly normal rental. No pressure to buy high-priced add-ons, though of course, they had to let us know about them. We like Alamo because their people have always been helpful and honest with us, and because their prices are often a little lower than their competition. Also, about ten years ago, my wife had a small accident while in an Alamo car at our daughters funeral - the claim was handled quickly and painlessly. Thats worth a lot!
We picked up our car and wasnt expecting the extra charge added to our bill. The stall where we were told to pick up the car didnt exist so we walked around the lot before going inside and getting help. The car worked fantastic and was good on gas. When returning the car there was a mix up and they couldnt find our car in the system, so checking it back in took much longer than expected. Quite a few disappointments.
I rented an SUV from Dec 1 - Dec 22. 2019. I booked the rental though Allegiant. When I arrived at the counter they asked for my credit card. I asked what they needed it for. They told me there were airport fees and stadium taxes of $304.88 they needed to charge. I questioned it and was told this happened because I booked through Allegiant. A friend and I rented an SUV under his name, through Allegiant from Nov 4 - 11/2019 and there were no taxes charged!! I called the help line after my vacation and was told there was nothing they could do. I have never been charged extra taxes when I have rented a car through Expedia. SOMETHING FISHY going on here.
The location is great. The counter employees were nice and very quick. The cars are super close to the terminal. The man that checked our car in on the way back was very friendly and asked us all about the trip.My only complaint is that they dont seem to clean the cars when they are returned. I think someone threw up in the backseat and it had splattered all over the car. The lady at the lot didnt have another car so she just gave us some wipes and my friend and I cleaned the car. We also had to buy air fresheners for the car. I think it would have been nice for the employee to offer to clean the car professionally but it wasnt the end of the world. The air fresheners covered up the smell pretty well.
Great rates..half the cost of other rentals in Phoenix! Very friendly and helpful staff, quick check in and easy paperwork.Unlimited mileage, clean car. What else do u want ?
My husband & I rented a car in Las Vegas, then planned on flying home from Mesa and dropping the rental at Mesa Gateway. We ended up having to extend our stay due to unexpected circumstances. The customer service at the Mesa airport was outstanding. Cathy M worked with me in extending our rental (twice) and was fair in the pricing (as compared to calling the 800#). I was very impressed and very thankful. And, when we finally got to go home, dropping off the rental was quick and easy.
Am an Alamo Insiders Member. Alamo has served our car rental needs well in our travel. At the Alamo counter Phoenix/Mesa Gateway Airport, Trenton V. was very helpful in assisting with an upgrade to a new Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring SUV versus a subcompact Mitsubishi roller-skate for our 100 plus mile venture to Tucson on Interstate 10. Trenton suggested the SUV because it harbored multiple safety assets which he believed may prove useful while traversing unfamiliar Interstate -10 & city of Tucson. The SUV had a built in Navigation screen which linked with (Waze) from our iPhone. The radar controlled Adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning & blind spot monitoring for multiple freeway lanes at 75 mph proved valuable safety features. We utilized the Navigation system every time we traversed about Tucson Thank you Trenton for considering our safety & suggesting a more appropriate vehicle & thank you Alamo for serving us flawlessly as you always do.
The fact that they won’t take a card over the phone. And the fact that payments “won’t take debit” is enough to make me never use this company ever. Everything went fine with the rental until the return late in the afternoon. Unfortunately I left a very expensive item in the center console storage. I remembered in the early AM and called Lost and Found. Everyone was very helpful in attempting to find the item. The car had been rented out already but they called the renters and they were nice enough to call back and then look for the item. It was no longer there. I admit it is my bad for leaving the item, but I think it is reasonable for me to be disappointed that it was not turned in when the vehicle was cleaned. I cant prove what happened and as such have no recourse now to deal with it. Would have been nice to not end my trip with a $1,000 plus loss.
The process went very well. Everything was ready for us when we arrived. The drop off was quick and pleasant.The only complaint is the lot is a little ways from the desk. It would be nice to have a little golf cart or someting to run you down there when the temperature is so high.Other than that a very good experience.
I thought I would give Alamo a try and Im still kicking myself in the butt. The worst organized rental place I ever tried. I went on line and spent time giving my info so I can Skip the line they say, when I checked in one of the kiosk was out of order and the two others scanned my drivers license and said some kind of error and please go to the counter that had a very long wait. As I stood in line I looked over at Enterprise car rental it had only 2 people in line so I made it clear to the 3 stooges behind the counter (offered NO help) ill take my money over to Enterprise. Thank you Enterprise, i should have never stopped using your service, and...get this I used my USAA card and got a mid-sized car of the price of Alamos sub-compact car (5) dollars difference.
I like with Alamo that you can pay for the rental car without leaving a huge deposit. I pay for the rental car and off I go. The pre check in is wonderful to. I will use this company again. Thank you Alamo!
We recently rented from Alamo at the Phoenix airport for 12 days and have absolutely no complaints. The car was nice and the lady working in the parking area literally followed us to the end of the parking lot to bring us two bottles of water. From the time we got to the counter until we were getting in the car was about 5 minutes. We will definitely rent from them again.
Great, prompt service when I dropped off the car. The person who rented the car to me wasnt as friendly but that couldve been because I was so tired that I wasnt friendly. Great price and overall great service. Id definitely rent from them again.

Friendly employee at the counter. He explained all the parts of the rental agreement clearly. I liked that I wasnt pushed to get insurance or other add-ons like at some other places. The car we got is in good condition. So far so good.
Very bad customer service. We went to upgrade our car, but there wasnt any kind of help or courtesy from the Alamo people. And manager was so happy to hand over her business card in case we file complain to BBB or to company.
