During Fall Break I took the grandchildren on this mini adventure. They enjoyed this ride. The youngest was most happy with Jen! Jen gave her popcorn to feed the ducks. Thanks you were also very informative with lake cove knowledge!

I was on the Desert Belle again last weekend for their live music cruise with Moon Dog. The views never disappoint and you see something different each time. Ive seen eagles, but this time I saw a male and female big horn sheep! I love the seating options with lots of outdoor space. Great prices on drinks, the roof retracts for ultimate views. The view of Four Peaks are always amazing! Sometime Moon Dog will have guest singers! How fun! The drive out to Saguaro Lake is just stunning.

Fun to do once. Would recommend if you have not gone. Enjoyed Dolly trip more.

The entire staff was super friendly and helpful!The captain was knowledgeable and friendly. I recommend coming early for a window seat. It was a great family activity.

Worth every penny! We were late for check in so we sat outside up top and even in the heat of the summer it was the perfect temp once youre out on the lake. The crew is so nice and the live music was fantastic. Will definitely be doing it again.

This is a nice boat tour on one of the reservoirs on the Salt River.The presentation by the captain is easy to listen, even if its factually flawed.They do serve drinks and other refreshments onboard, however a card will be required for payment.If you dont have time to rent a boat, this is a great option to explore Saguaro Lake.That they serve groups well is a plus!

Such a fun experience! There were 6 of us, 4 adults (one of which is 18), and two small children 4 and 5. Everyone had an amazing time! Dont hesitate on going, just do it.We were able to schedule an evening cruise (6pm) same day. We got there a little too close to 6pm and ended up in the seats on the bow of the boat, but to be honest, they were the best seats in the house!! All of the seats are folding chairs so be prepared for that. You are able to get up and walk around the boat though.The stairs leading to the upper deck are steep. But the seats were spread out and good views all around.There is a snack bar area which is a little pricey, but they dont allow outside food/drinks. Make sure to bring cash for tips.

Delightful 80-minute tour! Arrive early so you can board first. Bottom deck is nicely air conditioned. Top deck is open air with incredible views. (We went just after it rained and it brought out the humidity and the bugs -didnt add or take from the experience, just be warned if you dont like those things!) The boat is well maintained and clean. John, our captain, was great, so friendly, informative, and funny! Told some of the great history of AZ as well as information about the wildlife and flora/fauna that lived/grew there. You can take on your own water, but nothing else. They have a great concession service. You can buy a DVD at the end for cash which is donated to Make-A-Wish here in AZ. Great company, good experience!

Scenery was beautiful. Only 3 stars because very rude passengers openedthe window in the air conditioned area and refused to close it after 3 passengers asked her to close it. Captain Ken needs to tell passengers to keep the windows closed in the air conditioned area. Many of us were uncomfortable and this person just snickered at us. Initially, I thought this would be a nice ride but this obese Karen made our ride miserable.

Loved this cruise! Went on a day trip out from Scottsdale. It was easy to find and inexpensive and we had PERFECT weather to go out on the lake. Our captain/tour guide was informative without talking too much, we got nice views all the way around the lake, fairly priced snacks and drinks on board. Plus we got to see the bighorns and a bald eagle through the course of our cruise. Highly recommend Desert Belle Cruises.

Have no pics to share but myself and party of 5 truly enjoyed our selves.The captain with his comedy was pleasantly humorous along with the one man band entertainment with his great taste in classic rock and roll.I do apologize in not 100% remembering guitarists name(Eddie?)but he is a local.This was my first time experiencing a boat cruise and would highly recommend it for yall to try.As an adult group we took the craft beer and music cruise.The staff was pleasant and consistent.I personally am not a beer consumer but they had plenty your most famous basic cocktails to choose from.The sights are beautiful although we did not get to see any long horned sheep or eagles due to our bad timing but it was beautiful,relaxing and breathtaking.The captains name that day was John,he was able with his comedy and soothing voice to set the mood for the cruise not too mention his strong attempt and commitment to his passengers to find and point out the animals and sights too share with us was impressive.He truly enjoys his job and was good at it.Thanks again Desert Belle you will see us again. Now onto a dinner cruise on the beautiful lake of Saguaro in Mesa Arizona.

This was fun day trip for our family of four! Very accommodating and safe, the staff took all measures for COVID precautions. Captain John was so funny and kept the trip interesting. The staff was kind and professional. Will be going again!

Great experience viewing the beauty around Saguaro Lake. The narration was informative and interesting. Learned lots of little facts that made the cruise more interesting. We sat on the upper deck which was covered, and it was very clean. The only snafu was that the boarding passes were out of order, so we did not board the boat in the order we checked in.

The boat ride was comfortable enough. Warm on the inside bottom deck. The music was goid and not so loud that it was uncomfortable just right. Pricing for the ride was good Groupon helped make to make it better and affordable.

I have gone on the Saturday afternoon cruise. It is really relaxing and beautiful. The Captain is informative and funny too! I would recommend it as a great way to spend an afternoon. Also, I have friends coming in from out of town and ten of us are going to enjoy the cruise. I did have an issue with my scheduling and I had screwed up the dates. I had a left a message with my situation but it was after hours. First thing the next day I received a phone call. I spoke with Melissa and she was very helpful and understanding. I was able to get the cruise on the correct date that I needed. I was so grateful for her help. Thank you very much. Take time to do the cruise. You will have fun! Great for kids and adults!

This cruise was amazing. Very relaxing, beautiful and informative. I took my 91 yr old mother. She enjoyed it so much.Anita was so tentative to her with making sure drinks were flowing, popcorn etc.thanks guys for the experience. Purchased tickets on Groupon for something new to experience and it was amazing! My husband and I had a great morning start and was worth the drive from Tucson. We took the live music cruise and there wasnt a lot of people on board (which I prefer) because it was a hot day already. Not much in the wildlife area to spot, but the scenery was gorgeous. We look forward to doing this again in the cooler months.

Great scenery, strongly recommend going on Wednesday for the wine and music night! The music was great staff were nice and attentive, wish it would have been longer!

An excellent little gem in the middle of the desert, a very good deal at $23 per adult. They sell drinks on board for a very good price as well as snacks. The day we went on it was 5:30 PM cruise and there was Ian Eric a local singer and he was very entertaining. Lots of comfortable seating. Parking is free. Definitely worth checking out when you’re in the Phoenix area.

We live in Tucson and come up usually once a year for a boat cruise. Desert Belle is comfortable, scenic, fun and relaxing! The captain and staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great time and enjoyed access to indoor seating downstairs and shaded cover seating upstairs to get a whiff of that lake breeze. Definitely a fun activity for out of towners and locals alike! Makes you feel like youre not on Arizona for a second, and May is a great month to go.

Very picturesque tour of the lake! The Captain gave us the historical background of the lake, mountains and terrain. The boat has a covered top level that’s open on the sides. Great weather! The price for adults was reasonable as were prices for drinks an snacks.We will go back again some time in the future!

The desert has such a rugged beauty! The captain of the boat was very informative and friendly.Cacti galore. Mountain goats. Many things to see. An old volcano core jets out of the water. Vegetation that is stunning. This was a great experience!. The lake is formed by a river dam. The shore is lined with desert gems.

Shady, shady, shady! The prices on the website are incorrect, especially with the private charters. The lady wanted to argue with me initially on the phone about what the website says, I emailed a screenshot and she never apologized for being wrong. I have been trying to talk to a manager or director and the lady will not even acknowledge it when I ask to be contacted by one. So far, their customer service is absolute garbage, and they are proving to be an extremely dishonest business.

This was my family and I first trip to the west coast. This cruise was perfect and we loved every minute of it! Interesting history makes you appreciate this cruise even more.

Great way to show off our beautiful desert, especially for guests that are not able (or interested) to hike into the preserve areas. The narration tours are well done. Even having taken the tour 3 times, we learn something new every time.

Although it was a very windy day and a bit chilly, the cruise was still awesome! The Captain was extremely entertaining and his crew was great and very friendly! The scenery was breathtaking and the 80 minutes went by in a flash! I would definitely recommend this excursion to anyone wanting to see some of the beauty of Arizona!

A wonderful, relaxing cruise of Saguaro Lake. Captain John shared so many awesome facts about the area, and he was very funny! The crew was friendly. The scenery was really beautiful. You can purchase light snacks and drinks below deck. We sat on the upper deck, which was covered for sun protection. We purchased tickets online, but you can purchase when you arrive. Our cruise sold out so arrive early to get in line for best seats upon boarding.

What a great cruise! The scenery was beautiful and the captain had a ton of knowledge! It was a super hot day so we appreciated the cooked cabin downstairs and the breezes in the open air top deck.There were some beers and drinks available for purchase, and the prices were reasonable. There were some limited snacks too.My kiddo got to steer the boat for a few seconds and it made for some great photos!

Very much worth your time and money due primarily to the great crew and captain. My group of seven took the 90 minute narration cruise which ran from 2:45 to 4:15. Weather was perfect. Saguaro Lake was full of sport boats and jet skis. The Captain gives the lake and geology narration and its detailed and very interesting. For our tour I purchased both the preferred boarding option (an extra $5 per) and the desert deal option for an additional $9 per person which gives you a choice during the cruise of either two snacks, cold beers or a small bottles of wine. The preferred boarding option not only lets you board ahead of others on the tour but also includes one snack or drink, including alcoholic. Seating is arranged on the main and the upper level on plastic chairs that are comfortable. Chairs are in rows of 4, so I do not suggest spending the extra $5 on preferred, because every seat has a good view. Regarding the snacks, I would not buy the snack ticket again unless everyone in the group was using the tickets on beer or wine. Thats because the snack prices average $3.

This tour was great! We did the Wednet wine and music. Music was nice, views spectacular, and even tho the temperature was 100, the breeze on the top deck made it quite comfortable. Highly recommend this for a fun afternoon.

Our ANASAZI RV club thoroughly enjoyed our 4 pm Boat Cruise Friday afternoon April 30th. It was a great way to enjoy a warm Friday afternoon together in the Desert. The band Moon Dog lended great entertainment with songs we could sing along with and many in the group enjoyed getting up and moving with the music. It certainly will be one of those memories that our group will treasure, enhancing the reasons we continue to belong to such a fantastic group of friends. Thank you to the staff that made this so easy to arrange. I will go back again.

Such a fantastic experience! It was breezy and comfortable with a soothing speed on the water. All the staff were very friendly and we loved captain Geno. He was very knowledgeable and interesting. The business was prompt and organized. Highly recommend!

What an amazing cruise!!! Our captain had so much knowledge to share on the Salt River. He was very articulate, well versed and had some great jokes. I love a guide that knows how little/how much info and facts to add to the tour. He always gave us enough time to enjoy the beauty on our own and also adding more knowledge and history which I love! I highly recommend doing this. The boat also has an awning on the top that they can bring in so that you can see just how giant the rocks around you are as you go by but also put back so that the sun isnt hitting you the whole time! So many beautiful views and a great time.

Absolutely worth every penny. The boat was very nice, we had perfect weather, and our captain/ narrator was top notch. We learned the history of the area, along with interesting facts about the desert. We saw lots of eagles and several mountain goats. Highly recommend.

I was looking for something local, since my mom was in town for the week. I found the desert belle cruises. It w as such a nice day, on 5/28, the captain was knowledgeable and funny. This little gem is a great find.

Wonderful experience, Captain Ken did a good job with the narration and then l got a good Samaritan through the Ticket lady who l have forgotten the name,shame upon me,Shes an angel on earth.So l was stranded coz there were no ubers to take me back to the hotel and she called her husband to come take me,can u imagine?So the husband came with the son and they drove me all the to town at no charge yet they live that side of the cruise.God bless you beautiful lady,your husband and son,wonderful people.We still have kind people ❤

Disappointing and inconsistent. I went on two separate narration cruises. The first cruise was good but the second cruise was disappointing. The captain didnt narrate. The cruise is marketed as a narration cruise. There was no narration. I emailed them with my concern and was contacted by John who said I would receive a call to offer me a refund. I didnt receive a call or a refund. I followed up by email twice and did not receive a response. Its been several weeks since my second follow up email. He didnt keep his word. Disappointing service and a disappointing experience.

Truly great experience while cruising the lake with an outstanding narrator to tell us and show us many of the history sites and scenes at Saguaro Lake. Great 80 min venture that you will enjoy and learn from.

I’ve gone on 2 trips the first one was fantastic but the second trip they didn’t take the same route and actually just had the boat sitting in the water spinning because they were having engine issues. They didn’t offer anything to make up for the boat not taking the full route so pretty much spent a bunch of money to float in a circle close to the dock.

Our family decided to go on the 12:30 cruise on Sunday 3/24, and my only regret is that we never did it sooner! The temp was 80, the Arizona sun was warm, and the breeze off the lake was cool. The entire cruise takes 1 hour and 30 mins, and everyone in our family of five, from age 8 - 75, absolutely love the experience. Although we have lived in the Phoenix area since 2005, the guide was so knowledgeable, we all learned lots of new facts about the lake and surrounding Tonto National Forest. If you are a resident of the great state of Arizona, or just visiting, make sure to put a cruise on the Desert Belle on the top of your list!

The staff are awesome.We waited over a hour to get served food walked away with a member of our party who was a diabetic. The staff on the boat was so great they got us food and drink for him. The captain was just as good.Great experience Thank you

I cant rate the actual wine and live music because we opted for a refund. Buyer beware..... whether you check in at 3:01p or 4:01p, seating is already established. My party of 3 checked in early only to be within the last group called to board. And of course what I would determine to be good seats up top where the live music was were full. We ended up indoors, and because of being indoors you must wear your mask at all times. I understand they have to make changes due to COVID, however maybe consider seating options like a movie theater, where customers can select their seating when booking online or opt for a different date. If I arrive early and on-time, I shouldnt be last to board.

If you want to do a family boat ride, this is the ride. I been here three time with family and friends, I really enjoyed the ride also the captain who knew his stuff of every area of the boat ride. Love them and appreciate them for sharing there experiences with us.
