Just moved to Eastmark from north Phoenix looking for a new barbershop. This one had good reviews and was only 15 minutes away. Had an appointment first thing in the morning Sunday and it went great! Best haircut I have had since moving to Arizona! Thank you Perla! Found my new regular spot!

Had 3 different barbers. One was one of the owners who took care of me. 2 different bsrbers did My kid. One wasnt familiar with designs but did a fantastic job on lightning bolt in one of my kids hair. He took a photo of it. Im terrible with names. But pleased with everything and will be going back!

Been going here for a few months now, always excellent service from Ruben!! He is no longer there from what I was told :( anyone know where he is now? Would love to keep him as my barber.

Been to this place twice used Jade last time and had Perla today. Both times were great best haircuts I’ve had in the valley for years. Don’t think twice get an appointment here you won’t need to look for another barbershop again.

Ive spent months looking for a really good barber shop in AZ. I wasnt able to find anything and my wife came across VARON co. Barbershop in Mesa. I decided to give them a try and book an appointment with Ruben, he was the absolute best and super professional. The staff made me feel very welcomed from the moment I stepped in the door they asked who my appointment was with and Ruben was ready. Theres nothing better than walking into a barber shop where they make you feel at home. Little did I know that my new Barber was from my hometown so we had a lot to talk about, it made the haircut process really cool knowing that we grew up in the same neighborhood. The fact that they do a hot towel over your face before they do the straight razor line up is the best. Im happy to announce that I wont be looking for a barber any longer looking forward to coming back for my future haircuts. in regards to covid-19 the barbershop was super clean everything was disinfected prior to my haircut, the staff was spaced out. I cant tell you how much I love the time I spend with my guy Chris at Varón. I always feel great and look my best after some time in that chair. Plus, its a super special day when I get to bring my boys in and Chris always hooks them up and gets them looking sharp. Love the vibe, love the people, love the cuts!5 stars Varón!

I love this Barbershop! Their convenient reservation process eliminates long wait times and crowded rooms. The old days of walking in to a popular barbershop and praying your wait times is less than 45min. are a thing of the pass. My boy Ruben knows me by name and knows what I need. Great conversation and service what else do you want.

What a great find! Super friendly, busy but not crazy, Ana took excellent care of me...got a full head and face shave. She didnt rush, took her time, and did an amazing job! Hot towel, moisturizer, and after shave lotion. I was relaxed and at ease the whole time. I will definitely be going back.

Disappointing is not even close to what they did to me. I went in for a beard trim and i very specifically said I want the beard edges cleaned and get it in a better shape but not lose a lot of length. She cut almost 1.5 years of grow off. I have no idea how ignorant someone has to be to have such a lack of understanding. Not going there again, thats for sure.

I dont make reviews often. So it takes a lot for me to get up the nerve to tell the world about my experience.My first time in I had a pretty good experience. The last few times I have not had a good experience and I have kept going back in because I wanted to give these guys a chance.I went in today and explained how I wanted my hair trimmed and faded on the sides but keep the top length. That was done, he did a great job on that. However it left the top of my hair a wicked mess and I asked him to style it and make it look more like this picture I showed him. He told me hes not a magician and he wanted me to go home and play with it. At that point the owner came by and I asked him if he could help me. I showed him the picture and the owner said yea just texture this and use this product. So my barber did NOT decide to do that. He butchered my hair and cut ALL the length off my hair that I have been growing out for the past 4 months....I put all this time into trying to obtain my look and in one sitting this guy single handedly set me back another 4 months. I told these people I am going back into the office for the first time Monday!!! The guy who was cutting my hair did not give an F. Once I had to get his boss involved he wanted to F me up apparently so he cut 3 inches of hair off my damn head and said there its textured....So if that isnt bad enough, this place says they are a barber shop but they are NOT consistent with shaving the back of the neck properly, using a hot towel and a back massage. Those do NOT come unless you ask them for it and I had to ask twice this time, I even called ahead to make sure they do this service.This place looks clean. It looks sharp. The people seem cool. However when I go to a barber I get a hot towel, I get a shave on the back of my neck, I get back massage and most importantly I get my haircut how I am asking and the barber actually cares what I look like at the end. I dont think I will be going back there.

Man! I have been going here for about a year-really since it opened. The haircuts are primo. My issue currently is the service. I received an e-mail my appointment was re-scheduled a half hour later. Which normally is no big deal, but I have other obligations I couldnt miss (my daughters gymnastics meet). So I called after getting this e-mail and was told it was my guys lunch hour, thats why it was moved. Which I get needing a lunch, but why have that time slot available in the first place? Or why not respond with our bad, how can we make it up to you, reschedule for tomorrow and comp some of the cost? Just changing it the day of was not professional. My time is just as valuable.

My son and I have been going to Varon Co. for some time now. The owner and staff take pride in their craft. They are friendly and very professional. I am always 100% satisfied with the cuts I receive. Their appointment app is super convenient and makes for a speedy visit.

I came in for my first time today(I’ve been looking for a new barber) and was absolutely blown away!! Reuben cut my hair and I say(no joke)......CLEANEST CUT I’VE EVER HAD!!! The facilities were clean and had a very friendly atmosphere! I will definitely be returning as I have found, in my opinion, the best barber in Mesa!

Been here 3 times. First time was great! Second time, I got cut up pretty good by the barber. Didnt really sweat it, probably just one of those days. Third time, one of the most painful shaves Ive ever had, plus I got cut up pretty bad. I would only recommend the haircuts, not the hot shave.

Went in today to get my hair cut....no joke, the best time ive had while getting my hair cut. Enjoyed the fact that I knew that the professional new exactly how to cut my hair and trim up the beard! My friend and I came into Varón today to get haircuts from Josh. Both of ours turned out great and it looks like I found a new barber. Josh has an artistic eye and attention to detail that really shows in the final product. The staff was also amazing and offered us bottled water upon our arrival. I would highly recommend this barber shop.

A warm welcome as soon as you walk in the door. I didnt have an appointment but after a short wait I was able to get in. Everyone was talking with each other, just what I like to see in a neighborhood barbershop. TVs on the wall playing sports, a friendly receptionist getting people checked in and getting people water if they like.Most importantly (besides the cut which was VERY good) in times of COVID, and with the heightened sense of cleanliness that people are demanding in the personal services area, this place sets the standard. Everyone is masked & gloved, the barbers WASH their hands and sanitize their stations after every customer, the receptionist is constantly wiping things down and keeping everything tidy... Basically, the place is CLEAN!!!As a matter of fact, the only thing cleaner is my skin taper.There is one thing about this place though... a lot of Dodger fans get their hair cut there. However, I asked if they use a special cleanser to get that off their clippers before they use it other people and they assured me they did.But if you can put up with that and want a GREAT cut at a GREAT price in a CLEAN shop, go see Jose at Varons.

I asked for a undercut that went farther down in the back and they gave me a fade that went all the way up even though I didnt even ask for a fade

Clean place, didnt wait, nice cut, however, I didnt appreciate the smell of weed on my barber during my cut. What you do is your business, but clean yourself up before you spend 30 min to an hour in someones personal space.

Took my son for the first time at this barber. Cleanliness, well lit, professional looking barbers, appointment time was honored (no wait)..5 stars for all these. 2 stars out of 5 because of the quality of haircut----the most important factor in the rating. My son was nicked while getting a skin fade (no biggie and accidents happen, but the barber blamed it on equipment in which I find odd). Then I said the cut looked uneven, but was reassured that it wasnt. I didnt want to argue and perhaps there was something wrong with my eyes to be seeing something that wasnt there. The next day after my son showered and wore his usual unkept look, the unevenness was definitely there.I will go again and try a different barber.

Exceptional service, quality cuts and a stylish decor differentiate this barber from others in area. Complimentary beverages while you wait adds a nice touch, but Javiers attention to detail is the main reason you need to make Varon your regular go to for haircuts, shaves, etc. I cant recommend them enough!

What a awesome place to get a shave and a haircut. However it is pricey. It cost me $45 (not including tip) for the shave and haircut. They did a absolutely fantastic job. Its just not affordable on a regular basis.

My son was desperate need of a haircut and refused to let me do there normal buzz cut to him. I was originally sitting in another barber shop but decided not to wait and wasn’t crazy about the “vibe” it was putting off. We left and ended up here at Varon Co. I’m very pleased with my decision! The inside was bright and welcoming. The staff was very nice and greeted us. The barber who cut my sons hair was great and did exactly what he wanted and even made sure he was happy with the way it was cut before we left. I recommend this place to everyone. Went to go get a beard trim before a wedding.Had just gotten off of 24-hour shifts so I was a bit zoned outBarbara seems super attentive to detail cuz he kept going over the same areas over and overFelt him cut me quite a few times but just kind of let it go.Didnt look bad in the mirror and since its just after Thanksgiving figured Id pay it forward and left the guy a little over a 100% tipOnce I got to the venue I got ripped by everybody about how not straight the line was, how many times Ive been cut, and how bad the razor burn was.I ended up going to Walgreens and buying a pair of clippers and a razor and doing it myself.Sign it up spending $50 to look worse than when I walked in.The whole shop doesnt seem bad I just may have gotten the worst of it that day.

As a newcomer, you cant tell who is good at fades and who isnt.

Second time I’ve been here and I gotta say it’s the best barber shop I’ve been to since moving back here from Texas, which was 4 years ago! My dude Ruben never fails to impress me. Great fades, excellent beard work, and also hot towels and chair massages complimentary! They always offer me drinks and always have great music and sports to watch on the TVs. If you’re looking for a permanent barber I highly suggest Varón Co. Ask for Ruben! Such an awesome experience every time, very hospitable!
