I truly enjoyed my experience at Matthews. Good energy and great customer service. They made me feel as if I was at an old barber shop when I was a kid. I also got a great taper fade .. very thankful and will definitely come back.

Took both of my kids (10 & 2) 10 yr old hair came out great, perfect timing right before picture day. My other son was moving a whole bunch towards the end of the cut but they were able to make him laugh and feel more comfortable and they were able to finish the cut and it came out great. Great service and good people.

I went here to get my hair cut just a few minutes ago since school is bout to start, so it was kind of an emergency. The guys who worked there were very nice and they made me feel welcome while I got my hair cut and not once did I not feel unwelcome or ignored. Paka (the guy who did my haircut) and I had a great conversation together and he made sure that he got my haircut right. The place was very clean and fresh inside. They kept their stations very clean and organized. They work through pretty fast and at the end of the day I was very amazed how they left me looking fresh 👌🏾. Like I said, the guys are awesome 😎 and I suggest going down to this barbershop and start making it your #1 place. It’s honestly amazing that they’re open till midnight—I couldn’t believe it. The guys at the shop was excellent even friendly. If you go there ask for Paka he will hook you up and very affordable. The shop opens till 12am so if u get out work late and in the area you can stop by.

One of the twin brothers was horrible, hell keep stabbing you in the head with the clippers even after you tell him. Place is worn out surprised myself staying there only not to be rude. After the cut the guy still didnt even bother to dust off hair on my face, will never return here and dont recommend it to others. Guy was more interested on his phone than his job 🤬

I just discover this place and Im amazed, Mathew is the man!!! he knows exactly what he is doing, he put a lot attention to detail, he even trim my nose and eyebrow hair, and he knows how to use the blade too. My Fiancé and I came here to get our undercut cleaned up before our wedding day which was to be two days after the cut. Never been here before or knew anyone who had either, however it was a great decision on our part. We showed up at 930 on a Friday evening and already there were I believe two people ahead of us however it was already helpful on my end that I was able to get my cut with being how late it was, so we decided to wait it out. We work days and we’re extremely busy getting ready for our wedding so the long hours are a big help. Let me just say the experience I had here was like no other. I have had my undercut for about 6 years now so I’ve been to many barbers but this however was not just any barbershop. Matthew himself did my hair and he is an exceptional guy. I need to say it, he is a well rounded guy who will give definitely keep your mind thinking and not to mention share a few laughs with you. I love music and he had the jams playing at all times. It really gave me a movie scene vibe. If you’re looking for a genuine barber experience, this is your place.

Tonight made my first visit and there were 4 people ahead of me and one barber in the shop, however without hesitation Demonti had contacted the owner and in no time Matthew had arrived. Demonti has the steaduest hands I must say coz this kid gives the cleanest fade ive seen by far. As for Matt, he came in very warm and welcoming and outgoing. These duo had done such great service tonight that before their closing time which was at midnite they took care of all their customers with grace and confidence. Definitely Ill be coming back here for my haircuts in the future. Thank you gentlemen for staying up late to provide everyone with great cuts.

Brought my son who has long hair on top, I have a shorter fade. 2 great haircuts and equally as impressive to me was the professionalism and personality. Matthew is great people.

I went here about 3 weeks ago. The first thing I need to say here, is that I rarely treat myself to a hot shave and high fade, so Im fairly picky about who I go to. Since Id been here a few times before and had an amazing experience, I was looking forward to another one. Unfortunately, that was not the case this time. I didnt recognize the guy working, but since my previous experiences were so good...and I was dropped off and didnt want to take a lyft to another Barber shop, I figured Id give him a guy a try.....I should have taken a lyft to a different Barber shop, LOL.I gave him specific instructions on how I wanted it done, and he followed maybe 20% of it. The fade was uneven and I had small patches of hair that werent shaved down all the way. The hot shave was brutal. He caught me with the electric shaver 3-4 times on my top lip trying to take some of the hair down before he shaved it with the straight razor. I told him, I didnt like the electric razors on my face at all. Then he changed out the straight razor blade 3 times after cutting my face ( the fairly bad one finally healed up a few days ago) telling me my hair was dulling the blades. Needless to say, I wasnt very happy, and was still bleeding when I left.

Matt is a super friendly, stand-up guy, and you can tell how much care he puts into his work. My cut came out perfect and I appreciate Matt having stayed past 1:30 am to take me. Highly recommend!

So I went to Matthews barber shop for the first time and the only thing I can say was I finally found my barber I was attended by a barber named PAKA. This guy has over a decade of experience and he definitely knows what hes doing I finally found the barber I can go to in Mesa highly recommend especially if PAKA attends you.

I was struggling finding a place to get a haircut most of the summer due to businesses closing and limiting guests. This business did walk ins, first come first serve, which is perfect. I found the barber to be very friendly, professional, and great at cutting hair. The vibe in the barbershop is great, the music, small building, and cleanliness, everything great. This is the best haircut I have had in my life. I recommend coming here for a fresh cut and good experience. I am definitely coming back here in the future.

Matthew is an awesome dude and a great barber. The wait was longer than normal business, but Matthew still stayed past closing time and made sure I received a proper haircut. The haircut was exactly as I specified and he also had great reccomdations for the minor details. Matthew definitely knows his stuff and Ill definitely be back.

Came to get a haircut at 1:00 on a Saturday which google shows their open and ofc the shop is locked and nobody is here 😪😪

I waited behind two customers and ended up waiting 2 and a half hours. At the end of this two and a half hours I left. Mathew was giving a very in depth haircut that kept me waiting for an extensive amount of time. I respect the nice environment and personalities of this shop, but I do not think I should ever have to wait this long behind two customers for a men’s haircut.

Mathew was finishing up a clean fade on a youngster and didnt have to wait long. Overall the fade came out clean and Mathews stories are genuine. Got there and was told theres 4 in front of us. Sat and waited for 2.5 hours waiting for the 4 to be done. Another person walked in and was told oh he was here before you. Ill get you after. Well he wasnt there when we got there neither were 2 of the other people ahead of us so i guess first come first served isnt true here.Had to leave because we werent willing to wait another 40-50 minutes and then have our cuts which would have put us there for about 4.5-5 hours and 8pm. Didnt expect getting a MENS hair cut to be an all day event. Value your customers time as you would want yours valued.
