Being essentially a monopoly in the area allows for spectrum customer service to find new and more impressive ways to be disrespectful to customers while making sure to not keep their promises to users ensuring the customer has to jump through as many hoops as possible to get even the most basic of services.Utterly astounding how snarky and un helpful the guy at this store was.Disappointing to deal with. Nearly every time.
I went in to return a cable box for my moms home account. While there, one of the agents suggested a phone plan to me that is by the gig, which I tend to use under one gig every month anyway, so Im seriously considering switching over. They are expensive for cable! Just be warned there. Youre best of getting internet & purchasing a Roku TV or a streaming service & getting a couple services or apps you can use to watch shows & movies, but Im still surprisingly pleased with the cell phone plan that was offered to me. You MUST have an account or go through someone whom has an account with them in order to get these phone deals, though. Quick heads up. Thanks to Spectrum. I do miss Brighouse.

To Whom It May Concern,I would like to report an incident that happened at the Spectrum Store located at 720 Magnolia Ave, Melbourne, FL 32935, at approximately 5:30pm EST involving an employee named Rizwan.I arrived at the store to quickly exchange a wifi router. Upon entering the store the employee asked me if I had a mask.I answered No, and asked if he could provide me with one.He answered No and stated he would not help me if I was not wearing a mask.I asked if this is some kind of discrimination because I wasn’t wearing a mask, he rolled his eyes.I asked if I could stand just outside the door for him to provide me with curbside service, he said No.So I asked him how could I get a new router? He said he could not help me without me wearing a mask.When I brought to his attention that the costumer he was providing service to while arguing with me was wearing his mask the entire time incorrectly (underneath his nose) he shrugged and rolled his eyes and repeated he would not provide me with service if I did not have a mask because that is what was stated on the door.I informed him I was willing to accommodate the rule of not being in the building without a mask if he was willing to provide me with service if I stood outside and he ignored me.As a Spectrum costumer I expect at minimum a professionalism from your costumer service agents. This type of behavior is simply unacceptable and made me feel extremely uncomfortable, and I imagine as well, the costumer he was supposed to be helping instead of arguing with me. It is not a US Federal, Florida State, or Brevard County law that states masks must be worn inside any establishment. In addition, it never occurred to your employee that I may not carry a mask around with me because of a medical condition that precludes me from wearing one. I was simply treated with disrespect, and made to feel as if having me as a client meant absolutely nothing for the company since he was unwilling to even in the slightest accommodate me. I later found out that I could have had a new router shipped directly to my house, but Rizwan never gave me that option. I felt I was treated with pure discrimination for not having a mask.I hope this e-mail reaches the appropriate parties and that 1. This employee be reprimanded and better trained in the skill of costumer service. 2. That incidents like this do not happen ever again inside a Spectrum Store.
Employees are good. Spectrum is Monopoly along with AT&T. Basically the only two overpriced choices I got.

Fast service, pleasant staff
Unreliable internet service. Frequent occurrences of scheduled maintenance and they NEVER call/email to warn you ahead of time. Trying to work my freelance projects from home with NO INTERNET and NO WARNING has impacted my income. Whenever I bring up the topic of reimbursement to them they ALWAYS make up an excuse like, call this alternative number for refunds or we cant give a discount while the maintenance is being done etc, etc. Always an excuse. And always so quick to blame my modem. Bwahahaa. My modem is 100% perfect. Get bent.
The time display on our DVR was not reading correctly so I brought it to this Magnolia Rd location for an exchange. There was no line and the agent promptly made swapped the old unit for a new one. Then when I asked him about setting it up he gave me a new remote with written instructions and politely answered a few follow-up questions. Overall Im very pleased with the service I received here.
Spent over an hour and a half August 25th to change my internet speed, and channels thought the order was placed. Called back because equipment never arrived (Sept 4th) only to find out that the order was entered wrong and it never shipped. Still on the phone today so far it has been over an hour and still waiting to get to the right person. Very frustrating.
Wait on the phone. Then wait some more. Cancel the cable and they try to sell you cell phone service. I guess I cant blame them, but for crying out loud, just let me return your gear.
I noticed that my billing increased without any additional services. I tried to call to find out why. Was on hold for a long time, was not able to talk to anyone, trying to take care of it during my lunch break
We were having issues with WiFi so we called and they said to come into the nearest Spectrum store. Upon arrival, we waited less than five minutes in line and a gentleman Shawn was able to get our situation straightened out within just a couple minutes. Fast, friendly, and efficient!
If I could I would give zero stars, but that is not a choice. The incompetence and inefficiency of this store is amazing. I went in to pick up the equipment for new service. They did not give me a remote and they gave me the wrong box without DVR service. There needs to be some major retraining and monitoring of the customer service.Use the Viera store. They knew what they were doing. The Viera store provided excellent customer service to compensate for this Melbourne store. Close down the Melbourne store and expand the store in Viera. They know what they are doing there and how to care for the customer.
Terrible service, wanted to charge for extra services without consulting with customers first, which is illegal business practice. Extremely dissatisfied, but this is one of the only few ISP out there. Monopolization at its finest.
I have been a loyal customer for almost 5 years. Over the last 3 months I have had problems with my internet disconnecting EVERY DAY. Most times 3-5 times a day. I have received horrible customer service. When I call all they do is reboot my modem and say my service is fine...except 2 hours later is boots everyone off again. I am extremely disappointed with the fact I’m paying for a service that isn’t working properly and no one is willing to help.
The worst experience possible. We had to start a service at the condo, but the previous owner was not able to return their equipment. I brought everything we found to Spectrum. They are missing one piece. They will not start the service even though we are paying for it through HOA. They will keep the account dormant. Is it right to pay for the service and not be able to receive it for the next 3 month when account becomes dormant?

The customer service was very friendly and knowledgeable and swapped out my remote control with no questions asked. Spectrum is a very high-priced company and there is always a line waiting to get service at their Spectrum office by the Ford dealerBe sure and read very carefully the Spectrum agreement if you are thinking of taking their mobile phone offers. They have the authority to throttle your speed back after so many gigs are used and they also have written in their agreement to change your contract anytime they want.
Oh god, do I love disconnecting from everything every 10 minutes! Even though this service is provided free through my current apartment, it would be better if I had nothing.

The lady helping us was lovely..friendly, polite and helpful..we however were disappointed..bundle price then you keep adding things and it gets out of hand..also we are snowbirds and would just like to transfer from north to south back to north. Then we were told someone would be out in 4 days!!Were looking at other options. I know why people think spectrum is a RIPoff.
I have not had Brighthouse/spectrum for 11 years and recently moved where i had to have spectrum because of bundle services where i live. Was going to try and get mobile service through them but get different answers when you talk to on the phone vs going into office. Glad to see customer service is still a joke and nobody on the same page. Disappointment for sure.

Streaming live TV online frequently doesnt work. There is always a different error. Typical corporate monopoly with no incentive to fix any problem or help the customer. Most apathetic customer service ever and way too expensive.
Magnolia office in Melbourne has always been more responsive for Brighthouse or Spectrum. Live in Cocoa, used to have an office in Cape Canaveral, but very rude personel, and your time did not matter. Totally different atmosphere at the Magnolia office, courteous and quick service.

Horrible service and insanely expensive. We went 13 days without internet because they couldnt figure out what was wrong. Kept blaming Provisioning. Swapped equipment 4 times before they got it working. I need to start streaming and dump all this expensive equipment. Every year it goes up a crazy amount.

I am currently on the phone with Spectrum customer service, the only options which they felt to provide were get this Sir you can live with the bad service or you can terminate your service NO OTHER VIABLE OPTION. I guess they interpret such statements as option not ultimatums. Worse business in the world, I have never been to to live with it or cancel the service before. I would give them a minus 50 rating but it is not an OPTION
Had a bad install which forced me to have to go Into the center 4 times in a week. Twice to exchange equipment and once to return equipment out installer did not take with him. Also had billing issues due to someone not closing my old account out on the day I called. Issue was resolved. The customer service agents who helped me were very nice and professional which helped with my overall experience. Thanks guys
Cable companies always get beat up in reviews but in this instance I have to report good service.I had intermittent internet service over the last several weeks. It finally got bad enough to where I called. It only took about a minute or two to get a live voice and the lady on the phone was very nice and helpful, talk me through all of the options and said OK will try to get a truck out to you tomorrow To check the signal level. A tech showed up early, checked it out and determine that there’s a bad cable between my house and the box at the street. I told him that I work from home and I need a reliable service so he made a series of phone calls. Next thing I know I had two more techs (Corey and Chris) here, figured out where the problem(s) were and pulled a whole new cable run from the street box to my house. I did a speed test and I have the fastest speeds I can remember. So I interacted with four different employees from Spectrum in the course of two days and I’ve been very pleased with the level of professionalism and sense of urgency from every single one of them. Nice work!!!
I was returning a cable box for one of our daughters who moved. There was no wait to speak of. The person was knowledgeable and handled the return properly. Have to say for this I gave him high marks.
Recently we needed an upgrade of cable service for my father in laws home Satellite Beach. We went to this facility and met with Seth. He explained the options available, we made the changes, and completed all transactions we needed in around 20 minutes. He was very knowledgable of Spectrums services and was also questioned by other employees for his expertise. At the time, there was zero waiting. Thank you Seth

It was not set up well for persons with difficulty standing. They were fast and helpful, but not able to stand for long and had to leave the costumer service area to get a seat. I would have liked to see a few stools in the area where we talk to the service representative

Im 80 yrs old and almost deaf even with aids. The gentleman that came to set up my TV (after moving to a condo) was very patient and took time to explain the channel changer as it is different from my old one. I appreciated it as people are frustrated with deaf people; not so much with blind or handicapped . So thank you for your patience. Patricia king

The service seems to very functional and reliable, but I have been disappointed with the customer service. They dont have a business office to talk to a person. When you call the 800 number they say they cant do anything to rectify the problem. I have been told my numerous individuals they will notify a manager and they will contact me. Nobody has ever contacted me. I had to pay an amount I didnt owe just to prevent disconnection and collective action.

Stopped by on Friday afternoon before holiday weekend and there was no line. I received great customer service from Ron (even with his arm in a sling).He made sure we understood our options, asked clarifying questions, and helped us make good decisions about our cable 📺 and high speed internet.We got rid of the dvr and increased our download speed, so now well do on demand and have more bandwidth to do it with.

I have had BH for 5 years and can only say that the customer care is excellent. Any problems were quickly and graciously attended to. Free house calls without a grumble. I wish it were less expensive, but they will work with you to help reduce the price a little.
This was my first time at this location and they were doing some remodeling for the changeover to spectrum. The line was out the door when I first arrived (mostly people returning cable boxes and modems) and I waited about 35 minutes to get to the representative. They were very friendly and helpful once I got there, but need more help to handle the number of customers.
Spectrum internet service is patchy at best. Constantly buffering and intermittently going out. The customer service is subpar at best. Individual departs are not even on on the same page regarding policy. Avoid this company at all costs.

This is really a terrible company when it comes to fulfilling what they promised. We were promised $49.99 + tax; the first bill that we got was $95.28. We called to complain and they said that they couldnt do the promised rate, that the best they could do was $69.99. Amazing! these companies are all about making a buck, I do not recommend them at all.

I have closed the spectrum internet account, paid everything I owed, then returned the equipment, and I keep being harassed to pay some debt that I obviously dont have, it is a nightmare.

Needed my wires outside fixed had droppedRefuse to fix them since Im not a SpecturmCostumer which I was with Bright House for years....they said they could Cut the wires. I said No..... I was talking to a friend about this went thru the same thing... She got her wires cut...nd later received a Bill which they didnt seem to mention while they were here.As they left I called Spectrum got no where and they didnt mention it would cost to HAVE wires cut...I dont have tv services of any kind. I dont recommend them at all....I will get someone to fix me wires.....

Spectrum is not what you want will over charge you. And the service is not good, some times you have no service all night or day. And most of all they carry way to many adds . All your paying for is to watch adds.

This review is for the office itself, not the company. The people are always friendly and helpful. It’s often not busy and the line is short. It has a drive through window I imagine helps keep the line short. The only reason it’s minus the star is that there is no place to sit. If it’s busy, this is a very handicap unfriendly environment where you are expected to stand for long periods sometimes holding equipment. There is a wall where that could put a bench. Since I have become disabled I have notice the thoughtlessness of companies demanding people to stand for long periods of time.I don’t need my powerchair for short excursions and it’s a lot of trouble and often impossible for me to use it in places. Perhaps a place like this office could put a bench in, or provide a couple of wheel chairs for people who can’t stand for very long. Same goes for drug stores.
Formerly Bright House. The office is small. Simple things like remote replacements can get taken care of more quickly than other things like unit returns or pick ups. Theres a side window to pay on accounts. Gets crowded at times. Staff ia pleasant and reliable.

If you cant fix youre own cable problem by rebooting prepare for a ridiculously long wait in the queue when you call Spectrum. Then you have to push specific numbers depending on your issue 5-6 times then listen to a voice teaching you how to reboot (even if thats not why you called) then wait for a real person. 45 min was my record. Thank you speaker phone. Then they say, hmm, it may be the weather 500 miles away. The Spectrum TV app needs work too.
Absolutely the slowest service. Returning the equipment is a very painful process, will not be going back to Spectrum. There are many other providers that value their customers.
They need a dedicated person to accept equipment your just dropping off instead of waiting behind every kind of Bill problem that could possibly arise. Waited 40 minutes. There are no other options. If you dont bring the equipment in within five days they charge you and they will of pick it up liked they dropped it off. Beware.

The installer was fantastic, really lovely guy and I was hopeful! I have the basic Spectrum box, no DVR which I didnt want/need. I care about the OnDemand though. I didnt think anything could be worse than my moms old Comcast box from 10 years ago... until this one. The OnDemand interface is beyond terrible. Feels like this was given to an old, non-coder who doesnt use OnDemand... and no one cared what came out.
Spectrum has much better service than AT&T. However, be aware that if you upgrade cable service from standard, you get an additional nasty propaganda channel, NEWSMAX. I will never upgrade again.

Ive been with the local internet provider for 20 years. When it was TWC, also went through the Brighthouse phase. Now the greedy northern based company Spectrum(Charter) really helped me decide to go elsewhere. Offer less, charge more. What a great way to run a company into the ground. RIP Brighthouse.
Horrible lobby set-up. Has been since Ive lived here. You have to stand in line and it takes forever. I understand it can take a bit to assist each customer. But Ive been standing here, with equipment in my hands, for 20 minutes and were halfway through the line that was here when I came in. If they assigned #s, you could sit in the comfy chairs they have. Makes no sense. Come on guys!
Poor service. Do not ever move and transfer services because they will double bill you then when you complain, do nothing to fix it. Filed complaint with the BBB. Calling our lawyers also.
