Jim saves the day (night)! We got a flat on 93 North. He and Ryan came to us super fast, put the car on a flat bed, brought us to the shop. Changes out the tire and off we went. Super nice people. Super fast service. I wish all people were as kind and as helpful. Thanks Jim!!

One of the driver driving a Transport Truck with Plate number#68 on June 18, 2020 in Lincoln Mall, Rhode Island. Was super unprofessional, rude driver who saw a women on a Stop sign in the parking mall while the truck came on a fast speed watching her on the stop and took a quick turn with NO signal at ALL towards her almost crashing her car and the driver knowing he is wrong kept driving towards her fast making the lady reverse the car just so he won’t crash her car. Thanks God the lady reacted fast backing up when that truck turned quick towards her. The driver started to curse and beeping the horn still at the lady telling her to next time when they see them around to run away. This is unprofessional, almost attentive to almost killing a family. The Driver shall get fired he could do these to any other people who knows if this is not the first time.

I want to take a couple of minutes to show my experience with Stephens towing out of Medford mass. Derek is a true Professional and he took great care of my car in the middle ofthe night. I couldnt be more thankful for them coming to get me when I was stranded. Then, my sister got towed in Arlington from Winslow towers and again Derek took great care of her suv without any damages. We cant thank them Stephens brothers enough. They made everything so easy and smooth for us. We greatly appreciated their efforts and Professionalism. Highly recommended by us. Blessings!

Its understandable people are upset about getting towed; we dont really expect it to be a pleasant experience. But I want to point out that while I wasnt particularly excited to part with my totaled vehicle, the folks at Stephens made the experience as painless as possible. They were super helpful with any questions I had, & made the paperwork quick & easy. They also didnt make me feel rushed while I was emptying out my car & taking a moment to say goodbye to it forever. So even though it wasnt a happy event, Im grateful for their kindness, patience, & the no-nonsense approach they have.

Was just about to comment the same situation that I saw on Lincoln Mall, RI with one of the Transport Truck driver, but just saw that Judy A already commented about the situation. That driver would’ve killed those people and it looked like he did it on purpose. After all that crazy driving, he laughs and scream out like if he own the road.

I was towed from a highway back on April 17th. The driver was kind of brush, but thats not what prompted me to write this review. The problem was that he was texting obsessively while driving all the way to the hotel, which was over 7 miles away (including while driving on the highway). And I had my 4-year-old on my lap in the front seat... I think the only reason why I didnt say anything to him about that was that I was still shell-shocked from getting stuck in a bad spot on the highway with the child. He also told me AAA will reimburse me for the tows $165 bill, which they have not, since I have a basic membership with 3 mile limit; but I can understand that he did not know that. The texting was unprofessional though and actually dangerous. In case you want to explain to the kid that he is not invincible...My invoice # is 110986 (also hand-written: 14624), Driver TD (or JD), truck #53.

I was lucky enough to have Zack come tow my vehicle into the dealership after the brake fluid had leaked out in my driveway. He called almost immediately to confirm that he was on his way and he asked a few questions about what was going on with the vehicle. He arrived soon after and he had picked up some brake fluid from the dealership so he could be sure that the brakes would work long enough to load the vehicle onto his truck. Smart move - t toHe car wouldn’t shift out of park until he filled the fluid. He was professional and accommodating. I will call him first the next time I need a tow.

Had a great experience with Stephens automotive transport. Certified by Mercedes and recommend by Burlington Mercedes. Zack was on time, friendly, professional and conversational and knowledgeable. Thank you for being on time! Truck cabin was clean, he wore his mask (The year of COVID 19 for those reading this in the future) the entire time. He knew actually who to speak with when we arrived at Burlington Mercedes. Thank you! There was no charge bc it was complimentary from Mercedes. I would recommend 100%

Theyre contracted with the City of Medford to tow vehicles. I left my car with NY plates in Medford for longer than 48 hours and Stephens towed my car, which is fine - but then they waited 6 days to mail a notice - during which I didnt know my car was missing. Employees were pretty unreasonable when it came to knocking down the storage fee of $35/day

Daniel must have dislike my questions because he told me they charge 108 plus miles because my 2020x5 was towed to them, plus 35 a day storage, plus 108$ Hook fee for me to pick up my truck because it’s not drivable. I said why would you charge a hook fee if I’m getting from your property. Daniel said He will deny a tow company to retrieve my vehicle off the property take it or leave it then he hung up the phone on me. Don’t ever use this place they are over charging customers because they have the loop holes they can maneuver through! Before they put some excuse my name is Martel Horton

I was parked at assembly row on a Saturday afternoon and they have a deal with Stephens Automotive in Medford to tow cars after a specific amount of time (tows seem to be done around 5:30 or so in the morning) anyways, I lost the keys to my car while shopping at assembly row outlets and could not get into my car. I called Stephens towing and the person who answered the phone told me that “assembly row on a nice Saturday afternoon, were not sure if we can get a tow truck in there” and instead suggested I call a roadside key maker that they use, the key maker they suggested to me showed up over an hour later than he said he would (this reflects very poorly on Stephens automotive) and he also was not able to make a key to my car. I knowing my car would have to stay over night in the parking lot I called Stephens automotive again and they told me if I call assembly row security my car will NOT be towed, I called assembly row security and they confirmed the car will NOT be towed...come Sunday morning I found out my car was towed early in the morning by Stephens towing after these guys assured me they would not tow my car. Later that day I got a call from Stephens towing that proceeded to inform me of all the costs that I’m going to have to pay to get my car back and how they are not responsible if I parked there overnight...even though I called them and followed their directions and orders as to how to not get towed..they claimed assembly row security was to blame and accepted no responsibility.Just another dishonest opportunistic tow truck company..avoid at all costs if you can.

Poor customer service, they refuse to give you a break down of their fees. One of the drives name is Chris and he was very rude has no customer service whatsoever, refuse to give us a receipts until we asked him to give us one. He threatened us to call the police we told him to do so never did he knew he was wrong about his actions. We still force him to write down his prices and only wrote us his name and their standards fee. He was attacking all of us for asking for a break down price. I would not recommend this company over price! Mind u our car was 3.0 miles away from our destination.

I have filed a formal complaint with the state against this company, as they do not inform you of all of your options when your vehicle is towed there, and when asked to accept accountability for their negligence and offer customer service, they will not. Please do NOT give them your business, and know that if you cant get your vehicle out within in a few days, you CAN have it towed to a neutral location that wont cost you $35 a day.

If youve ever heard of the term highway robbery and wondered where it came from you can now rest at ease because this must be where it started. My vehicle was involved in an accident on Route 93 the police had it towed. I picked it up just hours later and they would not allow me to even access the vehicle before paying them $264Im familiar with the tow charge and a storage fee so I figured around $150. But boy was I wrong.Besides that Towing charge and the storage charge even though it had been there for only a few hours they also added a $40 battery disconnection fee and it $100 yard fee.So if you break down on the highway or have an accident on highway and you are unfortunate enough to have your vehicle towed here you will be Highway robbed!

DO NOT USE STEPHENS TOWING!!! If youre in need of towing in the Medford, Everett, Malden area, use RIGANOS TOWING!!! RIGANOS were so polite, compassionate efficient and inexpensive.I was forced to use Stephens towing and these horrible people were rude beyond belief, in fact they bullied and threatened me. They are also archaic. I did not have my credit card on me but have memorized the numbers and info and had all my details in my iPhone. They refused to write down my credit card details and insisted I had to either give them my phone, which was the only means of being in touch with my husband to plan how Im getting home etc., or they would tow my car to their store and not where I wanted to be towed with an extra charge. I asked how am I supposed to be in touch with my husband and organize what Im going to do if they take my phone and their response was USE A PAY PHONE. Hey, Stephens Automotive Transport, its 2019, pay phones dont exist anymore, and have you heard, you can buy anything over the phone and internet by just entering your credit card numbers. These guys were the worst experience in every way. They took my phone. I had to stand in front of my car to stop them towing it to their shop with an extra charge. THE WORST!!!!!

These guys have very poor business practices. Charged me hundreds of dollars to tow my car 5 blocks and then asked for another 100 when I went to pick it up. I didn’t even ask for the tow, which occurred after an accident. Charged 25 dollars to disconnect my battery, which is mandatory for the tow yard. One of the managers actually called the guy in the tow yard to tell him to charge me more after I had a conversation with the manager. I made the mistake of telling him I was going to theCaribbean the next day. I firmly believe he went out of his way get more money from me because he thought I could afford it. Worst Towing company ever! Me and my mother parked at Wellington. We paid the price to park and we put our ticket on our dash. When we came back my mothers car was gone. We thought it was stolen. Until a parking attendant told us it got towed. So we had to pay for a cab to go to this tow yard. Our first question was why did you tow our car and they said we didnt have a parking permit which we did then their other excuse was that the parking permit wasnt visible which it was. So we had to pay the $200 dollars to get our car back. My mom then went on to email the station and the manager said he would reimburse us. After several emails back and forth he stopped responding and we never got our money back. This company is a bunch of sleezy scumbags.

As a 3rd party towing company for Mercedes Benz roadside assistance you would figure that they would know how to tow one correctly. Heres my experience, called AAA first when my key became defective causing the steering wheel and ignition to lock, therefore locking the front tires. Triple A came out and stated that I needed a flatbed or wrecker, to properly tow my car to the dealership because of the staggered tires and wheels locked. Unfortunately they didnt have one in area. So I called Mercedes roadside and they dispatched Stephens automotive transport, the worst choice Ive made in a while. What happened is shocking literally, the driver shorted out the battery, causing complete failure of pre fuse box. Then preceded to tell me it was ok, it didnt matter how the quick jump leads were hooked up. After shorting out my car, the car was towed by picking up the rear tires and dragged with the front wheels locked. My self and witnesses watched as the undercarriage dragged on the pavement and the car was damaged cosmetically and mechanically. Why would you dispatch a wrecker and do such a thing? Why was the towing eye bolt not used? Why would the driver stop .1 miles down the road and tow it from the front onto the wrecker? Why wouldnt you admit the mistakes you have made, instead of trying to cover this up? Why wouldnt you tell me or my insurance (USAA) your insurance information? Actually telling a usaa insurance representative that you lost the insurance information for your own company? Why would the driver say he took pre tow pictures when my security cameras say different?Ive included some pictures of the damage you caused some still shots from the security camera and the proper way to tow a Mercedes(not done by Stephens towing). Id appreciate the truth and some answers, thanks for your time.Until then I will post a picture each day😂

Conveniently located just behind the Medford police station, they have made a fortune off of police connections. Just today, I witnessed a conversation between the tow truck driver and a police officer where the driver promised to take it easy on one of the policemans buddies for the recent tow during the snow emergency. The outside is nondescript with privacy glass obstructing the view into the counter. While inside, the blonde receptionist bragged that over 70 vehicles were towed yesterday evening. That is 70 X $130 = $9,100 CASH collected each time it snows, minus the policemans discount, of course. For the $130 cash I was forced to pay, they didnt even print a receipt. They simply had an illegible handwritten form which they quickly stuffed in a drawer. Once you pay, the receptionist tells you to hang a left and go into the unmanned, unlocked lot to pick up your car. Meanwhile, all the drivers and staff are hanging out on the other side chitchatting with police officers idling in cruisers.Their absolute refusal to take anything but cash, no cashiers check, no credit card payments, reeks of TAX EVASION.Shame on you, Medford Police for choosing a greedy tax evader as your preferred vendor. I hope the freebies are worth it.To any respectable IRS agents out there, please audit this excuse of a business. Approximately $9,000 cash is taken in every single time it snows in Medford, which is probably 10-15 times a year. All other parking violations in the area are likely referred to them too to the tune of $130 a pop, all CASH. Just think, each year, hundreds of thousands of payments were received in cash. What they do with the cash is unknown to me, all I can see are the handwritten receipt stuffed in a drawer, begging for a tax audit. For those of you whose cars were damaged in the towing process, all tow truck drivers in the state of Massachusetts are required to carry and maintain a bond of at least $10,000. Reputable companies will have their license displayed on their website along with the bond info, but of course not Stephens. Do know that theres always a recourse if your vehicle was damaged by their careless handling.Contact the licensing board or the RMV and request the bond information.Lastly, for you modern day Robin Hoods out there, this place tops the list for the scummiest, most parasitic business Ive come across - it profits off of others misery in this terrible economy, enriches those in power so that they can pad their own pockets with cush government contracts, while continuing to demand all payments in cash for what I can only imagine to be unscrupulous tax evasion purposes. Truly, it disgusts me to see this kind of business continuing to thrive at the expense of local citizens.
