Good mechanic, these guys have fixed a few flats for me. One time the patch didnt work i went back a week later, they fixed at no extra charge, and it worked.

This place is simply the best in the entire New Jersey state and beyond, serving Irvington, Maplewood, Newark, the Oranges, to name only a few.In fact, the Richards guys are the best in the business, especially their expert mechanic BEN, who brought smile to my face again after he had fixed my car exhaust system failure following an overnight robbery which caused me to absent myself from work. In fact, no sooner had my 2004 Grand Jeep Cherokee Laredo been towed to Richards Service Station than I was told that the repair work was completed and that the car was ready for me to drive to work again. I was so impressed with the quick work done so well and satisfactorily by Richards, considering the serious damage the thieves had done to my car! I must confess that I was already preparing to take the bus to work for the rest of the week by having some money in singles and coins. Thank God and I am so glad that I was referred to the excellent, nice, welcoming and competent mechanics at Richards by another equally excellent and nice mechanic at nearby OGorman Motors Inc. BEN, the great mechanic at Richards Service Station really spared me the trouble of having to take the bus again after so many years of using my own car! I am ever so grateful to him for his invaluable service and I strongly recommend this place to any car owner or driver who needs real professional mechanics who can effectively, efficiently and satisfactorily solve any car problems at the earliest convenience of the car driver or car owner, and all this AT A COST-U-LESS PRICE ! . I even forgot to mention that after fixing my car and while waiting for my arrival, my SUV Grand Jeep Cherokee was washed thoroughly FREE OF CHARGE and was shining bright! Was very happy with my visit, they were very professional.

I was having problems with my gas accelerator pedal on my 2000 Toyota Camry and not getting the help I needed. I decided to give Richards a try and i am so glad I did! The part was hard to find but they helped me find it on eBay and fixed the issue in about 20 minutes. the other mechanic had charged me $55 and didnt even resolve my issue. Some business owners cant even up their game in a pandemic with businesses folding left and right but it lead me to Richards. Richards will be my go to guys for the remainder of my time in NJ, I am so grateful i found them. as a woman it is hard to find mechanics you can trust so this is one less thing to worry about

I was overcharged for a car wash and when I presented the issue to management they didnt deny that they were wrong but they were upset about paying the difference.

I called to get details about washing/cleaning of car.I asked about pricing. I was told they have different pricing; $10-$20. I asked what does $20 give me. His accent was thick and he did not really want to take the time to speak more clearly or slower. I asked about giving the car a shine. He told me to hold on. Returned 2 mins later told me to call back later because he’s busy and hung up the phone on me.I will continue to look else where. I wanted the $30 package which includes the shine, but I will not pay for rude treatment.

I’ve been struggling finding a reliable and honest mechanic for a very long time. I recently tried this place out for my truck that needed repairing. Ben was extremely helpful, honest, reliable, and quick. My truck was taken care of and at a very affordable price. I will continue using his services for any future repairs. Been going to them since 2015 they dont really jerk you around theyre upfront & the prices are reasonable & they get the job done. The only thing is theyre always crowded.

DO NOT!!! DO NOT!!! GO HERE!!!!! I came there just for brakes pads and rotors $180. They said I needed a abs module.. I had to find the part, purchase and send it to them because they said they couldnt find it, I found it in 15 mins online for no where near the price they said it would be. The communication there is horrible you have to keep calling them for updates and prices. Finally I call and they say the car has been ready. I take a uber to get there to have a $759 bill!!! Not only that my TPMS, ABS and TRACTION CONTROL lights where on and the car drives funny now. They said oh we just have to reset the ecu. They couldnt fix it then tried to say that the lights were on before I got there, what!!! So after after a small disagreement they decided to send it L&J Auto down the street to diagnose it. They tried figure out what was wrong with it and couldnt and said its a steering angle sensor and only a dealer part for $2200 and with labor it would be around $3000. Then had the nerve to say a lot of cars dont have abs or traction control, wait what!?!? Then when I got there to pick up my car there was a $95 bill waiting for me that no one told me about. I explained to RJ what is this bill and why didnt anyone say anything about a bill. He said oh L&J charges $95 for diagnostic fee. You cant waive that fee especially when you didnt tell me about this cost and its your fault it had to go there! Nope sorry I didnt charge you L&J did. Ok no problem I see what kind of games youre playing. So I paid, so now Im over $1300 in the hole and the car is worst than what it came in as. So to recap1. Horrible Communication2. Wont admit to mistakes3. Terrible Customer Service4. Will charge you with no responsibilityThere are a few more things but Im running out of room. Bottom line is dont take your car there for any kind of service you will regret it and you have been warned...

Do not do business with this Carwash! My $100 wireless Beats Audio headphones was stolen at this place. I called in regarding the missing merchandise, and they told me that they did not have anything to do with it. Without giving any effort into trying to find the headphones, they decided to ignore the matter.

DONT USE THE CAR WASH. Owner has a nasty attitude, If I could give -0 as a rating i would. I used the car wash today; i didnt look at the car before I left. When i got home I realized that the car wasnt washed properly. I started to wipe the car down to get what off what the car wash didnt get. As i am wiping the car down I noticed marks on the car that were not there before across the hood from the front and across the top of the car and on the trunk and along the passenger side. I went back to talk to the owner of the car wash, he came out and as i started showing him the marks and scratches on the car, he just said that did not happen here and walked away, no apologies or anything. He did not even look or act interested in what I had to say, he just dismissed me and that was the end of the conversation. No respect for his customers at all I have no recourse other than to live with the scratches on the car.

I always went here to fix my car or get car wash until one day I went here to get my car checked because i kept hearing some dragging noise and the guy told me it was $280 to fix the problem I asked him what was wrong he said a little pushing and pulling here and there he came back out with a part from somebody elses car and told me he had to repair one like it on my vehicle, he never told me what the part was me being a women I felt he took advantage of me that day, I agreed and said okay well go ahead I paid him the money two days later I heard the same noise on my car when I went back to him he told me its just that the four wheel drive button was pushed in I said well thats the same problem I had the other day and you told me it was pushing and pulling you owe me my money back then he proceeded to tell me now this is a different problem such a liar I never went back there ever again, not taking away from the fact they do great jobs but one bad seed spoils the whole bunch.
