Got my nails done here today. Best my nails have ever looked. My nail artist Alexis (I think her name was) was very thorough and nice. Add in two glasses on complimentary wine and my experience was wonderful. Will return again when I have another reason to make my nails fancy.

Before going to my appointment, I called the salon and asked for someone who could handle coloring thick,curly hair before engagement photos. I brought in a reference photo for the color I wanted (see photo 3) and the stylist Jake promised me it was possible.During the appointment, he admitted that he didn’t have curly hair clients. I should have stopped him then and there since this was clearly not the type of stylist I had requested upon scheduling. Before he even finished coloring my hair, he had me pay for my service, which had never happened at any salon I have been to before so I tipped him without even knowing the result. Unfortunately, instead of it turning out as requested, he made it much darker (photo 2- taken in parking lot of salon during daylight with sun coming in my sunroof). I called the salon that night and asked them to fix it since it was not what I requested and the stylist had told me what I requested was doable. The owner offered to have the same stylist fix it but I asked for a higher level stylist instead since I had pictures coming up and since the first stylist had gotten dye on my forehead and ears that wasn’t coming off.Upon the redo date, the stylist Megan admitted she hadn’t done hair in years and had to interrupt another client’s appointment to ask her coworker how to do highlights to fix the dark hair. Again, I debated leaving since this obviously was not a higher level stylist as they had promised. My color turned out super streaky (see photo 1).I decided against having this salon attempt to fix it again and went elsewhere where the new salon was appalled at what the other stylists had done to my hair based on the reference photo they were provided. After spending four hours fixing the color, he advised me to ask for a refund from Julia Grace given that I had to get it fixed at another salon and that was normal protocol for hair salons.The owner sent me the following message: “I have been going over your pictures.The second picture does not seem like the same head of hair. It is so much darker than the rest of the pictures. If in fact you were as dark as the second picture it would take about three visits to get you to your original picture. Megan did get you much closer to your desired color. Our staff did spend 5-6 hours on the color. We will not be refunding.”She not only accused a client of lying about my own hair color (which her stylists saw in person and admitted it was darker than the reference photo) but also wouldn’t believe that a good stylist at another salon could fix it in one visit (which there again is proof that he was able to correct it). So yeah I was understandably angry and used the f-bomb to tell her how I felt about her customer service and also made her aware that I would share my story based on how her salon treated me and gave her another opportunity to avoid this review being publicized.After telling other friends, I found out this same studio waxed my friends eyebrow skin off right before her wedding and her makeup stylist had to try to hide it for her. My hair is difficult, coarse and thick. In Boston, there was one salon that really got my hair.Laura, at Julia Grace, 1200 miles away from the coast, has now again, taken my hair to a new level. My hair has never felt so good.

The esthetician Melissa is wonderful. She is precise with her lash extension application and they always look natural while giving your eyes some sparkle. The spa is clean, relaxing and friendly. Definitely recommend for lash extensions, facial services, and skin care products.

Spent $60 on hair cut wanted a simple fade looked good when it was wet down afterwards I had to be told by co-works the fade wasnt even and my lines were uneven had to have someone else fix it for $40 called to get a refund and she refused to compensate me.

Have had two sessions with Alexis, once for a big change cut (shaved everything but the top) and once for a reshave with a pattern. The place seems to be more experienced with conventional cuts than wacky ones, and the place is fancy so I feel a but out of place, but the service is great and Alexis made sure I approved of what she was doing every step of the way.

Paid nearly 60 dollars for a crooked and uneven haircut that I had to go somewhere else and pay again to have fixed. Not a great experience honestly. A very simple haircut turned into a complicated mess

I am writing this review because I am completely and utterly disappointed in the color service I received at this salon on 03/13/20. I wanted to make sure to write this and include pictures, before my hair has a chance to grow out.The first picture is the one I showed the stylist, as reference to what I wanted. This picture was shown at the time of my color consultation. Not once was I told that this color could not be achieved on my hair. The rest of the pictures are the outcome of my color service. The next picture shows that my hair goes from super dark/almost black to light brownish/blonde at the tips. It is not blended at all and looks nothing like what I asked for. The final picture shows that my roots/out growth went untouched. All my greys are still exposed and were never colored. I did mention at the consultation that my greys seem stubborn and grow back quickly, usually within a few weeks (typically about 3),but that doesnt mean that they shouldnt have been dyed with the rest of my hair. I have never had a stylist leave my outgrowth untouched. I thought that to dye them was a give-in. It looks like nothing was done to my hair, except I was given blonde tips now.I would rather a salon be upfront and communicate honestly with me. For example say I cannot complete this look on you, and either direct me to another salon or a stylist that has experience with this color. Even if that means losing business or rescheduling the appointment for a later date. It is not okay for salons to take on jobs they cannot execute and then charge such exorbitant prices for a job so poorly done.The salon was advertising a promotion that offered 50% off a color service for first time customers. I happened to be a candidate for this offer. When I was being checked out they did not automatically discount me I had to ask is that the total with the promotion? Maybe that was a small unintentional mistake, but since I was already irked I added it to the list of another reason this business lacks integrity.I will say that the cut turned out well and the stylist was nice enough. But I dont go to salons for nice small talk. I go there for quality service and getting what I paid for. $130 ( thats with the discount) is a lot for a cut and a color thats not even close to what you asked for. Please dont take on jobs that cannot be completed correctly. Its not fair and its not right.Like Share

Had avoided salond because of civil so it was really outgrown and a mess. Showed a couple pics of my vision and got a great cut and even went in to reshape parts that might look too bulky. Felt very safe.

Well I went in for my roots to be done and a toning. I told the stylist multiple times I like an ash color very bright. Well I ended up leaving with a huge bald spot in my front middle section right at my hair line. It’s horrible and the color was horrible a very dull blonde. And it was very blotchy. I called to get a re toning and my schedule appointment kept getting extended to the next week. So I gave up and just won’t ever come here again. The stylist was ok. She kept putting her thoughts about the vaccine on me. Which was very annoying. I don’t know I paid $180 for something I absolutely hate. She told me she wasn’t going to charge me for the toning because it didn’t end up the color I wanted but obviously was charged.

I had extensions done here and paid over $600 for hair that was very poor quality. was told they would get on touch with the vendor and try to work out a solution. I then paid $600 to have the hair installed. it was horrible. I had everything removed and never went back. BEWARE OF THIS SALON

I had a spa manicure and Jake was so wonderful to work with. We had fun figuring out what my nails should look like and played with the gradient. He was great to chat with and he helped make my experience be even better! I was shopping around for a place to get my nails done for my wedding and I think this is the place! It has great ratings, great people, and hey, its open later than 7pm

When I went for the first time, I asked for highlights, but I wasnt very happy because I didnt look blonde as I wanted. Julia Salon called me many times and offered to redo my hair for free. I left an appointment at 11 AM, but I went there 2 hours earlier because I had forgotten to change my time zone on my phone. They didnt let me wait at all. Amanda did an amazing job and my hair looks wonderful. She also applied protein for my split ends for free. The employees care so much for the customers and do the best to make them happy. I have no words to express my gratitude. I will be their client for life.

Recently moved to the area and decided to book an appointment for a haircut with Kendra. She was so friendly and I could tell she was very dedicated to providing high quality service. She offered me some new tips on hair styling and management and was fun to talk to and very welcoming. My haircut turned out great! I loved the environment there and the rest of the staff I encountered was very friendly and kind as well. A great experience.

I had the pleasure of going to Julia Grace Salon yesterday for a cut & color with Kirstin. Kirstin was great and very patient with me. As a women in my mid-forties, my hair seems to be getting harder and harder to highlight while also finding the complimentary right low light. Kirstin completely understood this and found some great options for my (aging) hair! Im very happy with the end result and really enjoyed getting to know Kirstin. I have been going to Julia Grace to get my hair done for years. I have always had a good experience and have never left with a bad cut/color. Amanda K is a whiz with color and does a lot of training to be on top of new trends. I trust her to give me amazing cuts and color that compliment me and she always exceeds my expectations!Amanda also is one of the few stylists who do Natural Beaded Row extensions. I had the service completed and I loved them! They looked very natural and blended well with my natural hair. I got a LOT of compliments on them.I like the atmosphere of the salon. Its very welcoming and friendly. Lots of product available to purchase, but no pressure to do so. The staff is pretty friendly and Im always greeted by name when I arrive. So my hair was a misbehaving little jerk (first picture) and I was ready to chop it all off. It is quite a bit cut so I was a bit worried about choosing the right stylist but Amira was fantastic and patient with my hair. She ended up having to wet and blow dry it multiple times to make sure the cut was perfect and easy to style. I am incredibly happy with the results; it is exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be returning here for any touch ups and highly recommend this salon and Amira to others.

Ive been an extension and color client of Amandas for over 2 years now. If youve been debating whether to get extensions, my recommendation would be to GO FOR IT! I literally cant keep track of how many compliments Ive received on my hair (from total strangers) since going to Julia Grace. I have really fine hair that I cant grow past my collarbone. Amanda puts in my extensions in such a way that you literally cannot tell where my hair stops and the extensions begin. People are shocked when I tell them I have extensions. The quality of hair they use is amazing, the service is amazing, the complimentary coffee they serve is amazing, and certainly not least Amanda is amazing. Seriously, go to this salon!

Very welcoming and cozy salon. Every member of the staff is friendly and I feel like they care about me as a client, not just another random person. My husband decided to try out some of the other services aside hair, and when he came home, he said you HAVE to go get a facial, that was the best one Ive ever had and they did an amazing job with the gentlemans mani! Moving to Madison from out of state, I was pretty unsettled about finding a place to get my hair done. (For many years, I had gone to the same wonderful stylist!) After reading online reviews, I walked into one highly recommended salon. Very nice, but it didnt feel right for me. Tried another one with the same result. Then, I walked into Julia Grace. The receptionist was friendly and knowledgeable, listened to my requests, and recommended a stylist who would be a good fit, for me. Tabatha listened intently and then made went to work, gently making changes. After a year, my thin hair has never looked better or healthier. The Keune products used in the salon are the best Ive ever tried--and Ive used a number of high end products. And, Tabatha is absolutely gifted when it comes to cutting hair. As the owner, she sets the friendly tone for the place. Watching other stylists, its evident they know and care about the people sitting in their chairs. Both men and women look terrific as they walk out the door. And, did I mention the absolute stylish charm of the salon itself? Decorated with salvaged barn wood, antique doors and other recycled materials, it is aesthetically soothing and pleasing. Located on the west side of town, Julia Grace Salon is worth a trip from anywhere in the city.

We hit the surprisingly comfortable sinks for a shampoo, a very soothing massage followed by fun conversation while she effortlessly sculpted my hair into a great style! Thanks Malinda! Im the kinda girl that likes to get my hair done spur of the moment. I was so desperate to get pampered and Julia grace salon squeezed me in, while all the other places turned me away. When I came to them I had a horrible head of hair due to an unfortunate event at another salon. I met Cassie ( my wonderful hair stylist) and she has worked wonders and helped mend my hair back to a healthy state! I always leave feeling amazing with a boost of confidence! I went to Julia Grace Salon for a cut and color. The first person I met with and I must have had a large miscommunication. My cut was perfect but the color was nothing like what I asked for. They immediately offered a correction but it still wasnt where it should have been. However I still give them a 4 because after speaking with the owner she really wanted the chance to make things right, was completely understanding, and never once made me feel bad. They rescheduled me with another stylist and she could not have done a better job. I wanted a mahogany balayage type thing and she nailed it. I will definitely go back to the second stylist again.

My wife loves this place and while it’s on the opposite side of town for us, she won’t go anywhere else to get her hair done.

This was the WORST customer service exprience I have EVER received. It took them 3 hours for a single color and a 1inch cut. I asked to speak to the owner who was busy at the time and was told that I would be receiving a phone call and the owner never called. I had to call back again and still nothing!I PROMISE I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND I WILL TELL AS MANY PEOPLE THAT JULIA GRACE SALON IS TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
