We’ve been talking about coming here for like 3 years. Finally, my twin sister had the kids and we were able to go. The price is great! 20.00 for a hour. Not bad! My husband can even rent a row boat for 20.00 a hour-The water was awesome. The staff were friendly and very helpful! Helped on and off the paddle boat. They even have a rescue boat to help if you need help or get stuck.Would’ve been better if the concessions were open.. but next time, we know to bring a nice cold water bottle! :)I recommend it- no complaints!

Really fun but can get kinda crowded. We went right at opening to try and avoid the crowd. They have a HUGE selection of different types of rentals which was nice.

We really enjoyed the rental company and the lake. 🛶 Rentals are reasonably priced, they have food and drinks for purchase, and a lot of boats to choose from. Highly recommend visiting this spot, especially if you can make it during the golden hour.

I can really recommend a membership with Wingra Boats. It makes renting short and easy, within a few minutes youre in the boat. The staff is always helpful and friendly. Thanks to Wingra Boats, Im getting to know the lake in our neighborhood better and better and have spent hours reading among the reeds.

Best and most affordable place to rent a kayak, paddle board, canoe etc. Only $15 for an hour and I use it for fishing. Lots of fish in the lake.I go there almost four times a week. Would recommend for fishing and overall kayaking.

Great place to rent water crafts. The equipment is kept in great condition. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The lake is a fun size! You can even reserve equipment on-line so you will be sure to have what you want, when you want it.

This is a family favorite. We enjoy going on paddle boats and relaxing under a cloudy sky. Theres lots of other water based activities to do as well.

Ive been kayaking or paddleboarding almost every day this summer, and its been a wonderful way to spend the summer. I mainly use the Wingra boathouse, but the folks at all three boathouses are knowledgeable and very pleasant. Cant recommend the whole enterprise highly enough.

This is my second time going here with my kids for paddle boarding. The staff is professional, nice and helpful. Easy in and out of the water. An overall great experience.

Took my nieces, 7 and 12, here for the first paddle boarding experience. The staff were super helpful and friendly. I overbooked on accident and they were able to fix it right away. Actually they were the ones to point it out even! They had everything ready, provided tips and even found a paddle small enough for my youngest niece so she could help out. Overall, great experience!

Ive been to Wingra Boats twice so far this summer to go out on the lake with relatives. The staff are always helpful from the rental process, answering questions, directing to get equipment, assisting with getting into/out of the lake, and checking out. Highly recommended!

This was our first time renting a boat here...we had reserved a petal boat but it was too windy to take it out. They provided a kayak for the three of us and we had a great time paddling around the lake. Looking forward to coming back the next time we are in Madison!!

We put our kayaks in at this Lake Wingra Park. We had a great time on the water and it was pretty easy to unload and reload the kayaks. We discovered the next morning that we had left our paddles behind. I called and a very nice man said he had found them and they would be waiting for us to pick up. So nice to have that kind of service! We will definitely go back again.

The best and cheapest location to go boating in the city, with a wonderful park good for sports or picnicking!

Wingra boats is always great! However, I wanted to take the time to applaud them on the safety precautions they’re taking during this time. It was super easy to book online. They did a great job having clear directions when arriving on how to stay apart and where to go next. I appreciated them requiring masks the whole time. The kids working were very friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this as a safe space during Covid! 👏🏻

My fiance and I come here all the time and have had so much fun. Our favorite is the tandem kayak and it has been a lifesaver during the quarantine period to get outside. Everyone we have met there has been very nice, and have all answered any questions we have had.

Its the best place that I ever been!!!

Staff was friendly and laid back. Lots of signage and help with directions available for first timers. Water is weedy though and the 2 dead fish was a bit of a downer. But overall a great place for a paddle!! Calm water and nice park nearby.

Fun time on a canoe 🛶!!

With our membership we included all three boat houses. We are so glad we did. Wingral lake is very calm and we were able to enjoy a day of canoeing and paddle boat. The paddle boat was really fun for our young family and the kids enjoyed swimming off of it. The staff there is super friendly and we just had a great day. There is plenty of park with trees to have a picnic. We will be back many times this summer.

The crew working at Wingra boats have really made an effort to be safe during our global health crisis. It was so great to paddleboard on a beautiful morning, and it made me feel somewhat normal again. Thank you for being careful, being open, and being diligent. I cant recommend you enough.

Lovely place. been coming here since i was a kid! camps are enjoyable and renting boats has always been easy and fun. staff is super nice and accommodating!

Overall, it was great. The downside was they are not able to handle a live, in-person customer. I was told to login online to make a payment.

Enjoyed the social distancing measures and the ease of renting a sup board online. They have lockers, so you can bring a lock.

Awesome!We rented a paddle boat, we have never done that before it was fun and a great leg work out! I would recommend getting a coveted boat its at more comfortable. Next time I wanna try the SUP (stand up paddle board) that looks fun!

I own a kayak, but Ive rented from Wingra Boats several times when I want to take friends out for a paddle. Reasonable prices, easy rental. Also a great place to launch your own boat when you go here. Highly recommended.

Wingra was the easiest canoe rental experiences Ive ever had. We walked up to the window, gave an id to hold, went out on the lake, and just simply paid our fees after. The staff was very friendly and the facility was clean. We walked there all the way from State Street and it was a LONG walk, but it wasnt too bad and it was lovely to be on the lake after. One tip: I would bring some snacks or even a lunch and eat it on the middle of the lake. It was a perfect date!
