Best barbershop I’ve been to in Madison. Archie loves his craft and gave an amazing cut. Will definitely be returning.

Very cool barber shop with its own unique style.If Hunter S Thompson was alive, and actually had hair- he would have gone to Blue Chip. Online booking is comprehensive and easy. They all seem to have great attention to detail and Jess always gets feedback to make sure were on same page for the style Im going for. Work with an accomplished barber/ professional and get a great result. Stop getting those awkward 20 question- bad haircuts from strangers and try out a real barber shop. Its awesome.

I am blown away! The vibe is fantastic, but the people!? They actually listen and you walk out looking and feeling amazing. Jess is cool! She trimmed my pixie fade unbelievably! Its like two weeks later and it is still on point! The texture on top is perfectly messy. I consider it the cherry to top my confidence off!

Extremely fun environment, outstanding staff, and superb quality.Pros:1. Decorations everywhere with great tunes playing.2. Very clean environment3. Staff was extremely warm, funny, and had a wonderful sense of comradery. Zach was the first to welcome me in and made sure I didnt feel awkward waiting in a chair for my appointment. Noticing and striking up a conversation really surprised me and put the appointment to a great start. Freya (who I booked with) was able to make easy and light conversation.4. Haircut quality was on the money. Freya took the time to check and double check work repeatedly.Cons: None. Just go and check it out for yourself.

Archie cut my hair for the last year and gave the best hair cut I have ever had. Loved getting my hair cut hear for the great environment, friendly team, and wished I could keep getting my hair cut hear if I didnt have to move.

The atmosphere is welcoming and sacred, like a speakeasy of the 21st century. Archie is a master with the razors, and provides laughter in any conversation or side-bar. I felt great about the steps taken to prevent the spread of the virus, and I will be a regular here. Please do yourself a favor and stop in.

Ive gotten my haircut here many times by 3 different barbers and I always get a good cut. Zach has been my go-to there, and he does a great job with styling and especially beards. They create a great, comfortable and relaxing experience. Definitely worth it for the confidence knowing Ill get a good cut.

Great haircut from Freya! She asked a lot of questions and made sure she cut my hair exactly how I wanted. She was also able to correct things from a previously bad haircut. I live outside of Chicago and am seriously considering making the drive up next time I need a haircut. My haircut and overall experience was that good!

Best care for my hair (rhyme not intended) so far! Expensive compared to big name hair cut businesses you see with multiple locations, but its a good price compared to a good barber. Archie went above and beyond. It took a while, but I liked that. It felt like attention was paid to my hair as well as any questions I had. Will definitely be returning.

This place is awesome. Always had my hair and beard cut by Brett and Ive never been happier with how its turned out. Every employee is crazy friendly, felt at home from the moment I walked in. If I wasnt moving away, I doubt Id use any other shop.

Had a pre-wedding cut and styling done with a large group of groomsmen. The staff at blue Chip stepped up and made me look good! I was new to straight razor shaves and the stylist made me feel comfortable and did a great job. They definitely make you feel welcome.

$35 Barbershop haircut. No shampoo, no beard trim nothing but a cut. The Barbershop is a way better deal for a Shampoo & Condition, hot towel, brow and stache trim, precision haircut, and a shoulder massage all for $17. Less than half the cost. At this price and service level you wont be in business long. Sorry but youre too greedy!

SUCH a cool decour, ONLY “rockabilly” punk esque kind of shop that I personally now in Madison. My shave was fanstastic, my cut was impeccable and is growing out even better. And, they sell all natural products imported straight from (I think Holland). HIGHLY recommend. BRETT AND ZACH ROCK.

I got my first cut at BCBC, but it wont be my last. The entire experience felt like it was tailored for the modern man with a touch of classic style. Freya gave me a fantastic cut, exactly what I wanted and then some. One would have thought she had cut my hair multiple times before with how well the final product turned out. I also met Brett (good name btw) who, after noticing my dress shoes, informed me that they offer shoe shines, which he does himself. I also met Ruthie up at the front counter, and she was an absolute delight. I will definitely be returning to BCBC on a regular basis. If you havent given them a shot, you should - for great results and cool people. You wont regret it!
