This is a review of the Faded Club. Stevie has cut my hair here a few times. Shes awesome. Such a good cut for what I think is an unbeatable price. Very, very happy with the quality of haircut at this small barber shop. Im a few days post-cut and I keep asking myself why the hell I havent been coming here more regularly. Ill be back in 4-6 weeks for sure. Thank you, Stevie!!!
Stevie killed it. Took time to listen to what I wanted and did a perfect job . Will be back!
Awesome place, good atmosphere. I would definitely recommend if anyone is looking for a great cut with a friendly crew, this is your spot.
As long as I live in Madison I will only get my hair/ beard cut and trimmed by Don the Barber. FYI, Stadium Barbers is now Faded Club
They do a great job and I injoyed the hair cut
Best hair cut I’ve gotten. The guy was nice, fast, and knew what I wanted. Perfect.
I was perfectly polite and understanding when I couldn’t get a walk-in appointment. My common curtesy was not at all reciprocated. The man working was short with me and rude when I mentioned trying to call ahead and not being able to get through. There will absolutely not be a “next time,” not with how poorly I was treated.
Professional service, appointment on time. Barber was prompt .. punctual.
The shop is not clean. The price is expensive. The barbers does their job, but are not competent.First, the shop has a weird smell. They dont sweep or vacuum as many times as they should. They dont clean up the cutters between the cuts. My shirts and undies get messy with tiny little hairs that went in during the cut. Also, the haircut itself was not as good as I hoped for. The right side of my hair was about 1/2 of an inch longer than the left side and it looked very unprofessional. I asked the barber to fix the differences, but he keeps failing. It seems like the barber is just incapable of even haircuts. Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience.
Definitely 4 stars. Some of the best barbers in Madison. My regular guy is Chuck. In other posts people complain about the service; To a lesser degree i too have seen what they see but i view these experiences through a different lense. This is a barbers shop and not a salon - Dont try to make it a salon and you have a great chance of getting a great haircut!
Very friendly staff. Can make appointments, I never do because the wait isnt terrible. Gives military discount. Decent price. Good environment. Must pay with cash though.
Been going here for years. Usually call ahead before I go but they can always get me in.EDIT fall 2019: change in ownership and staff here. Theres only one barber left who will take walk-ins. Theyve upgraded the interior with TVs and are raising prices. The other barber books online only, has later hours, and I have no clue how to book him.
Really friendly guys and honestly one of the best cuts Ive gotten. After they use the clippers they hit the back of your neck and around your ears with a good old fashion strait shave. 5/5 no doubt.
Duane is polite, thorough and very good at what he does. Will be returning for him.
For almost a decade I have trusted my pate to the staff at Stadium Barbers, and I have never been dissatisfied. They are professional, likable, and helpful in all they do. Eight years ago when I moved to Madison, I first visited a chi-chi hair stylist off of State Street, and he was not only too expensive but he styled my hair to his liking, not to mine. Not so at Stadium Barbers. They like to cut and talk, but they listen to what I need and want. As others have said, the price is right and there is usually free parking just around the corner off of Monroe Street. Their hours are very convenient, and its always a pleasure to be served by them.
Good quality barber shop. Walk ins are welcome, and they only take cash. I did not have to wait long and was very pleased with my haircut. Would return again for sure.
I started coming here after trying a few other barbers and salons around Madison. These guys are the best Ive found in this city. Ive never been more satisfied with my haircuts than when I come here. Ive never had to wait longer than 10 minutes, even without scheduling an appointment. And for $15, whats not to like?
Tim has been cutting my hair since he was in barber school, always a great haircut and good entertainment.
I like this place because for me, its very local and I feel like Im supporting the local economy. Dont have a photo now.
Always do a good job and get me in quickly
Have been going there before my hair turned gray nice people
The haircut was fine, the price was great, and my barber was friendly. HOWEVER, when I walked into the shop, the owner (I would assume the owner) was reading a newspaper and didnt even bother to look up at me before saying, ______ will be with you shortly. Didnt even look up at me. Am I a burden on your business? Is your newspaper story that riveting? Cmon man, this is basic customer service 101. Im going elsewhere where the entire staff actually cares. I feel bad for the barbers there and wouldnt recommend it to anyone. You can find similar prices, and Im sure a friendlier owner, somewhere else.
Skilled, experienced Barbers offering a high degree of personal service. A rare find
Worst Haircut Ive ever had, didnt listen to a word I said, left my sideburns an inch uneven. The guy put in almost no effort and rushed through it as quick as possible. I will never be going back.
This place has been there for ages. Tim (?) the owner, has been there for over 30 yrs i think. All 3 cutters do a good job by me, but Holly is the best. $15, in and out, no appt needed, but they do seem to like if you call ahead and it can speed things up a bit too.
This is your basic barber shop, not a fancy hair salon. The barbers are friendly, fast, and they do great work when youre not asking them to solve a new puzzle when cutting your hair. Walk-ins are welcome and I rarely have to wait. The price is right, the location is convenient to campus, and parking is free and easy on the nearby residential side streets. Its close to Mickies Dairy Bar and other fine restaurants, so you can get nice meal while youre at it. I enjoy the experience every time. Their Saturday hours are limited and they are often closed around holidays or when theres a home football game. It pays to call ahead.
Been a customer for 20+ years. Chuck and Tim have been classic providers of top flight but no fru fru service for our community the whole time.Funny, knowledgeable folks providing service in the best way.
Great place for mens haircuts! The barbers are friendly and everything (even the people) have a good, old-school feel.
Stadium Barbers has been my barber shop for years. A highly respected local institution that has been on Monroe St for decades - a clean shop with skilled barbers.
Unpretentious shop and barbers, but cordial ambience and quick service.
Great place. Only issue is cash only and they likely only take relatively small bills.
First time customer. Friendly hairdresser, quick cut
Pretty OK. Barbers are great and they know a lot. However a bit expensive.
Good conversation, Great hair cut and reasonably cheap.
Did a great job for a fair price
Little bit on the expensive side, but has friendly staff.
Horrible haircut. Now i have to let my hair grow again. Never again am i going to that place.
Friendly local barbershop.
Not the most friendly, but you get a decent cut
Not fancy, but cheap and gets the job done well
