My special needs, non-cognitive 16 year daughter needed a well over due haircut as she does not generate her temperatures and does not sweat as well, as she will eat her hair. I scheduled her a haircut with Casey and informed him of these issues and he was very tentative, empathetic and understanding of her needs and he and the receptionist instantly put on a mask as she is immune compromised as well. He was very patient with her as she is non - cognitive and doesn’t understand directions. He did an amazing job on her hair and even suggested some things such as cutting the underneath to help keep her cooler during these hotter months. He was very friendly and kind and extremely knowledgeable. I love my daughter’s haircut! Thank you Casey!!

I was really nervous to have someone fix my hair, but Casey did an excellent job going from a dark color to a lighter and vibrant color. I wanted something fun; and boy did he deliver! It’s both fun, and I can rock it at work! Best of both worlds. It was such a nice environment at the salon (very important if you have to spend a couple hours with a person). I honestly wasn’t sure what I would be leaving with, but I didn’t know it would be more confidence. Thank you Casey for giving me what I didn’t know I needed! I will surely be back for all my hair styling and color needs! :). The only thing that would make this place better is if they served ham sandwiches.

It was my first time at Duncan Edward, and they did not disappoint! I really wasnt sure where to get my hair done in Madison and thought I would give them a try. It was honestly the best cut & highlight Ive gotten anywhere, I was so impressed and so happy with it. They were so professional and friendly. Aaron was amazing I highly recommend! I felt like it was really reasonably priced and they were really efficient. I left feeling satisfied and really happy with my experience there which can be hard to find. Casey was exceptionally friendly and easygoing, and made me feel comfortable. I enjoyed the conversation and professionalism. For 10 years I would bounce from one salon/stylist to another but once I started at Duncan Edwards I knew I found my salon. For the last 10+ years I have been going to Duncan Edwards and Natasha makes me feel like a rock star. I have incredibly thick hair and she has always given me the best highlights and haircuts. After years of her wonderful cuts and colors I thought it was about time I better leave a rave review for my amazing hair stylist, Hayley at Duncan Edwards. I have not let anybody else touch my hair in many many years...I have never had a single badly cut strand of hair, (and I know my hair is very difficult to cut) my color has always been amazing and I get a ton of compliments on my highlights! Duncan has cut my hair the past couple of years and its been an excellent experience each time. Duncan Edwards is a welcoming family-owned business. Duncan is knowledgeable and experienced and has the patience to pass tips on to me so doing my own hair is easier and successful. I have thick hair, mostly straight hair with a little curl here where I wished I didnt have curl so Ive appreciated everything hes taught me. I get compliments on my hair and that makes me feel more confident and satisfied with it -- priceless! I found his salon by asking women on the street where they got their hair cut if I liked how theirs looked and the majority of people said Duncan Edwards so I went and it exceeded my hopes. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Outstanding service and haircut - left looking fresh. I have really thick hair, which isnt always the easiest to navigate, but the few times Ive been Ive always received great attention to detail and left feeling confident with the new trim. Staff are super friendly and Id feel comfortable visiting with anybody there. Im really particular when it comes to getting my haircut, so I try to visit any time Im in Madison (currently live in the Twin Cities). Aaron is a great stylist! He listens and offers feedback and suggestions which is very important to me. I have gone from long to short and have loved every cut. I have been going to Paola at Duncan for about a year. I am rather new to the Madison area and had a hard time finding the right person to cut my hair. Paola does an amazing job with my difficult hair. I always leave loving the look she gives me. She has great attention to detail and takes her time in cutting and styling my hair. Very pleased with the service.

You will never get what you want. I couldnt. I went there to have lighter hair and it is darker than before now. They dont have medium colors. It is either too light or too dark.One day after my visit, I am still crying. I have a hair color which I would want to have 30 years later. Dont go there. You will have weird colors.

I have super difficult hair to style (stick-straight, fine, and without any body at all). Aaron has been cutting my hair for the last year or so and I can say I am extremely pleased. For the first time in a long time, I have actually been confident in how my hair looks. Not to mention, the entire staff there is very nice and friendly. I would not recommend this salon to my worst enemy. I heard great things about this salon so I decided to give them a chance. I told the stylist what I wanted and I did not get anywhere near what I wanted. My stylist was rough and was in a rush and Compeletely messed up my hair. I paid ALOT of money for it too, very disappointed! I know a lot of clients who go there too and I will definitely be recommending them elsewhere!

I had a horrible experience. I was under the impression that my hair would look a certain way because my stylist had hyped me up for it. She had told me she could do it. I showed her my dark hair color and the lighter color that I wanted and it came out worse then what I could have ever imagined. She rushed through everything and didn’t even finish blow drying me. She stopped 15 minutes before they close and then disappeared on me. I was also told a certain price on the phone before I came in and I was charged more with the horrible job that she did.

Ive known Duncan since we were both much younger...There is a feeling of family whenever I go in for a cut and thats not just because half the staff is related!I can sit down in Duncans chair, chat with him about our mutual love of soccer and trust that whatever he does with his scissors will be something just short of magic.

I was bouncing around to different salons trying to find the answer to why my hair was in such bad shape. I was looking for the right cut and wanted healthy hair.
