I had a rocky time moving in here and there were some bumps in the road but considering that this is in the middle of a pandemic I think that Raeann did the best job she could have with the situation. At first I wasnt too happy but within a reasonable amount of time given the circumstances the issues I had were fixed. I really enjoy living here for the most part, I havent ever had a bad interaction with any of the staff and the only thing Ive noticed is that at times there are shady characters that are looming around, I havent had to deal with anything that they may or may not be doing so I just leave them alone or call security to check it out. One thing I wish could be adopted here would be a smoking policy or that there were designated areas to smoke. My neighbors smoke as they have the right to do but it does come into my apartment and its very strong if I ever have the windows open anywhere other than my bedroom. In summer this is a huge issue because of how hot it is but I dont want the smoke coming into my house. Other than that I have no complaints and am enjoying my spacious apartment and quiet neighbors.

I currently live here with a 3 bed 2 bath and the apartment itself is very cozy. It has nice modern style to it with the kitchen and a spacious washer/dryer. I think the apartment is a lot more spacious than most and Mona the property manager is super nice. She is very good at keeping up with her tenants, making sure we are living comfortably. Whenever we would have maintenance issues, she makes sure that it is done right. The clubhouse was recently remodeled and it turned out really nice. The gym is a little small but still has all the equipment needed for a basic workout. I only gave it a 4 star because the parking isn’t that great. But in all, I would still recommend living here.

Management and maintenance is great. Mona is super friendly and efficient. I’ve lived here for almost 2 years and have seen many changes. Mona has made the most positive impact around here not only esthetically, but she has also managed to make it a much more peaceful environment.

I have been living here for about 4 months now. The apartment itself is a very spacious and cozy place. Great management, always there to answer any questions and help. The only things that would make this a 5 star instead of 4, would be the advancement on promised renovations to the deck/balcony and more available visitor parking.

Just got done with a tour at Novela the property manager Mona was super flexible and willing to lobby on our behalf for a few things that are important to us as future renters. Mona and the whole Novela team really seemed to see us and other renters as human being in need of respect and compassion, instead of replaceable numbers on a spreadsheet. Mona made us feel truly welcomed, and at home, it was a an unforgettable experience that makes my roommates and I super excited to live at Novela. Counting down the days until we move in. Thank you so much Mona, we will never forget what you did for us.

A year ago I gave this place a one star. Since then however, the old Bradford Park was sold to a new company and renamed Novella. The new management (Brittney) is superb. There’s a night and day difference. I can’t tell you how many battles I have had with this place over the years... and Brittney creates a smooth easy environment.Thank you for making the last half of my lease a lot less stressful.

I’ve been living here for almost two years and overall the place is not really well kept, noisy neighbors, the management tema are horrible for exception of Mona she was great, very unprofessional as right now I’m trying to get a hold of them and there is no way because office is closed, so no one to talk in case of emergency not sure what to do. Parking here it’s a nightmare, I’ve a car stolen, one broken windshield, overall I do not recommend it .

The Novela apartment community is an interesting mix of working class families who share a complex that has seen several different owners and property management companies during the past few years resulting in an uneven mix of experiences. The current management group has made a serious effort to meet ownership expectations and desires balanced with an honest effort to help and support the residents needs.New washing machines, garage doors and parking stripping have helped improve the property environment and additional safety upgrades to upper story decks and staircases currently planned will be appreciated when finally completed. As a child safe, pet friendly, location with easy access to main routes in the North End and lose to schools and shopping a potential resident could do worse. On the down side benign neglect by previous ownership has caused the buildings to show some of their age. The current ownership and especially the property management group are working very hard to eliminate existing issues and make good previous unfulfilled promises.

Since moving here in 2015 we’ve been sold many times and have gone through countless property managers. Some worst and better than others. With each property owner change our rent continues to increase astronomically and I can’t see the reason why such small supposedly 3 bedroom apts would be just as expensive as a mortgage would be. With the homelessness crisis and rent hikes affecting many people today, you would think rents would decrease, stabilize and be more realistic. Well, that’s not the case here in LYNNWOOD either. They raise the cost of everything from rent, car ports, garages, and everything else. We’ve lost access to our balconies with no real addressing of that situation. They blocked off our balconies during springtime and they’re still inaccessible and so is our storage unit on the balcony to this day. They relented after complaints to a $25 a month credit. Come on we’ve lost access to a vital part of our apartments during one of the hottest summers on the planet and cannot open it more than a few inches and there is no end in sight as of yet and the compensation for the lost is shameful and not reflecting the true cost and loss of access. Just more big company corporate greed of not paying back what they owe. We’ve got a very good manager currently. I think “M” is wonderful. However, we are used to having two people on site at at times. Now with only one person working it means that she is inaccessible to the residents when needed if she on the site running projects, posting letters, and anything else that running this property calls for. We’ve lost access to having our packages being delivered by USPS because no one is in the office on the weekends. The USPS will just attempt redelivery on Monday. If you’ve paid for postage to be delivered to you by a certain time, the USPS and this owner are denying us access to our packages as they should and would normally be delivered. If you get off work after 5pm forget having access to picking up your packages, because the office is closed and you have no access to package retrieval on the weekends either.A property this size needs two people to be able to efficiently and effectively meet the needs of this community. “M” is in need of help and if the owners want to truly turn this property around, they would give her the help she needs and deserves. Once again corporations downsize unrealistically pocketing the money they used to pay out for that second person and laying all that extra work and responsibility in the hands of one person. “M” is doing a fabulous job, but I cannot see how this pace and exemplary work can be sustainable. It can’t. If they want to keep great employees like “M” then they will take heed that she needs some assistance if they truly want to accomplish the goals and vision for this apartment complex, otherwise I am sure they will eventually sell this place and we will again go through a new property manager. Sigh. We’ve only had one other great manager who is no longer with us. Her name is Brittany and I hope she is doing well. Her and her great work has been truly missed and it was well appreciated.I’ll keep updating the goings on here at Novela formerly Bradford Park.

You can change names but you can’t change being a TERRIBLE quality complex. If you want to know the truth about this place look up Bradford park apartments reviews. This place is a joke. I’ve called twice since the new year trying to track a package that was accidentally delivered to my old address. They never called back or made any effort to help. Doesn’t surprise me. This place has always been falling apart/ had terrible customer service. Way to somehow drop the ball a year after I finally made it out of there.

Ive lived here with my husband for over 4 years. Were on our 3rd property management company and our 5th property manager. Weve seen our fair share of problems in the 4 years weve lived here but we actually do like living here. I gave this review 2 stars but I give Mona our current property manager 5 stars. She has a great personality and a can do attitude. She will always do her best to resolve any issues as quickly as possible. Thank you Mona for all you do. I wish I could say the same for Avenue5 Residental. They took over in May and while I see that they appear to be trying to make this a better place to live, they have failed miserably in regards to the second floor balconies. These balconies are in need of upgrades and being redone and Avenue5 was quick to recognize that. I appreciate the sentiment but not the execution. On June 15th, all 50 second floor balconies were locked from the outside. The sliding glass door opens 3 inches. We were told this was done because the balconies were deemed unsafe and Avenue5 needed to protect their liability. We were told that this project would take several weeks and then we would have beautiful new decks. That was the dream but heres the reality. As of today, nearly 5 months after the decks were locked, they are still locked and nothing has been done. In the 5 months since the decks were locked, weve received 3 updates the last in August telling us the deck project was slated to start middle to end of September. To make matters worse, I was told by Stephanie the VP of operations on August 12th that we would be getting bi-weekly updates. Christmas is right around the corner and weve already been deprived of enjoying the summer weather on decks we pay for and now were going to be deprived of the joy of decorating our decks for the holidays. Meantime, Avenue5 is almost 2 weeks into a cabana renovation project. I have asked consistently about the progress of the deck project but Mona is only as informative as Avenue5 lets her be. The information passed onto her is never accurate as I was told on October 31st that the deck project would start in 2 weeks. We have received no motices and nothing has happene . If you want to live here because we have an awesome manager then I highly recommend Novela. If youre tired of lies and broken promises by a management company thats no better than the ones youre running from, please keep looking.

I have lived in this community for 5 years at the time of writing this review, and both the management and ownership have passed hands more than once. With this said, I have seen a lot of attempted changes proposed for the property but more often than not nothing improves because management changes hands so frequently. Records are incomplete or lost, maintenance lapses, promises for improvements are made with each new management firm that go uncompleted and unfulfilled by the next firm. Its really tiring for a long term resident and it really sucks to see my home slowly dip into disrepair because there are too many issues here for one new team to ever focus on. There is never any compensation for the inconvenience and much of the blame ends up saddled on the new live-in property manager rather than their higher-ups who are making these decisions. The current management is Avenue5.Currently (Seattle summertime, daytime highs of over 80) all of the second floor balconies are barred off and condemned for being unsafe due to a insurance audit that apparently should have taken place years ago. This means that the balcony doors cannot be opened past 3 and the screens are blocked open, so the living rooms and kitchens get very, very hot in the summer evenings with no window access!! Bugs fly in the open screen so our kitchen fills with flies. Why are they unsafe? What makes them so much of a liability that we cant even open a window? Nobody knows!! This was dropped on residents without any warning beyond a letter telling us to clear our balconies back in June. The windows were blocked on June 15th, it is now August 1st and after WEEKS of no updates we were finally presented with a letter stating that only starting August 1st we will receive a paltry $25 discount off our monthly rent, no compensation for the past two months, and repairs/balcony replacements are cited to start end of September/ Early October? So that bars use of our balconies, storage closets and only living room window until October at least, with a whole $50 off the exorbitant rent were paying to be here. The ENTIRE summer of no window access, no storage access, and no compensation. Five months. Absolutely unacceptable - were made to feel like our living situation doesnt matter because those making the decisions dont even spend time on the property! Avenue5 has no investment in their residents wellbeing, thrusting a laundry list of unresolved issues onto the property manager to drown in, and residents are left wondering why they cant even open a window in summer, unable to use a portion of square footage of the apartment they are paying for. Blame for the inconvenience is, of course, passed on to past management, Avenue5 feels it is absolved of having to comp residents in any way whatsoever, and we are stuck having to just deal with it because a $25 comp is better than nothing. Patronizing at best. Solidarity to the current live-in manager for having to be the middleman in this situation; her investment in the community definitely shows and it is much appreciated, but residents are definitely feeling shafted, down to an anonymous letter from another resident being posted on all affected apartment doors demanding that we take initiative to receive updates and compensation. If you are considering Novela in your apartment search, I do not recommending renting under Avenue5s current management - know that youll be dropped into a pile of unfinished business and expected to enjoy the privelage of holding your breath until it gets sorted. Eventually.
