I’ve been going here for a couple of years. The staff is amazing, and the gym is for the most part very versatile and well equipped. It gets very crowded in the evening - but what gym doesn’t? I do wish they had monkey bars, more boxing bags, maybe some turf with sleds, etc. They do have a CrossFit lounge where you can do athletic style training, I just think it could be improved upon if the space were better capitalized. I’ve also gone to some other gyms that - for the same cost per month - had indoor tracks and lap pools but there’s really just no room. A girl can dream right 😂

Great gym for the area. They should expand some more it seems old but they are always working to make it better. Happy to actually see the membership money being put back into the company.

BEST gym is Lynchburg and Forest. Most affordable, childcare complimentary with memberships at NO additional cost! 24/7 hours and staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. It’s a family run feel to it with great owners (one who served as a US Marine). Full recommendation to this business!

Hands down the best gym I’ve been too.

Went here for a year as I finished my undergrad and I will say I will miss this gym when I move because this is easily the best gym I’ve been to. Great people, great equipment, great experience

It isnt huge, but it has everything you need for a diverse workout. Weights, cardio, or a combo of both.

I’m not too sure if I’ll join this gym we’ll see what my future experiences are like. I was hung up on and they did not take any accountability for it or apologize then their tone of voice was a put off. I don’t know if they were having a bad day but I was kind and just had a few questions. When I’m doing business with someone/ a company, I expect top rated professionalism. I just did not get that idea on first impression!

They should consider leasing the old Sears building a few stores down so they can have a bigger more spread out gym! But besides that kinetix is amazing!

Excellent gym! They have a weight room, and theres always access to pretty much any machine or weight you could need. (When I go at 6 am, that is.) The pricing is fair, and the gym is 24 hours. I have recommended it to friends, and will continue to! Also, the one time it was closed due to power being out, I was allowed to go to the Forest location for no additional charge! Nice workers as well!

I joined Kinetix in 2017 after I got out of the Army, I was a daily member. Earlier this year, I had to get a new debit card and forgot to update my payment info with the gym. My payments didn’t go through because of the new card and Kinetix never notified me that my payment didn’t go through. They tried for two months to take payment off the old card and still never notified me. I was unaware of the issue until I got a call from a debt collection agency telling me that I owe over $150 and if I don’t pay it then it will hit my credit. They failed to communicate with me and I could have easily paid the bill if they would have called. As much as I love the other members of the gym, I’ll never lift here again.

The gym is okay at the Forest Location, I didnt sign up for both locations so I cant speak for the Fort Ave location. They have decent equipment and a lot of it, its just cramped. The staff is nice but doesnt seem to care to be there, not to mention you have to pry the information from them about your contract when signing up. The only information I received about gym rules/ operations was what I directly asked them about. My biggest complaint isnt about the gym or management but the people that use the gym. From what Ive seen only about 1 in 4 people actually wipe any equipment off after they use it and there are 2 buckets of wipes easily available. People also leave loose weights and other equipment laying around, out of place, and often in front of other equipment. Its not unusual during busier times for people to stand in a group talking while blocking 3 pieces of equipment that you may need to use. Im not saying the gym needs a ton of rules but promoting a culture of common decency and cleanliness would be nice. The equipment seems clean most days but I wipe everything off before and after I use it for reasons stated above. If there were another option available close by, I would try there...

The largest and best gym in Lynchburg! Excellent staff and equipment. My wife (who comes to Kinetix a LOT more than I do) is training for a body-building competition here and loves it.

This is an ok gym but be careful and read the fine print on your contract. I moved to PA in 2017 and they continuously charged me because of an automatic renewal after my first contract, now I’m being charge $2600 and I haven’t been to the gym in over two years.

Love this gym! You get a lot of bang for your buck and classes are at the perfect times.

The staff is personable, professional, and very approachable. The atmosphere is always very pleasant. I totally recommend Kinetix to someone searching for awesome gym.

The gym is GREAT! The trainers are GREAT! SOME of the people that work there are GREAT! Just a heads up if you sign up for professional training WATCH your bank account TIFFANY will with draw the money when ever SHE feels like it. She will forget to charge you some weeks then double your payment the next week and not even tell you. I would NOT give them you debit/credit card information! PAY THEM CASH FOR TRAINING. Even when you sign the paper saying take it out on this day every week TIFFANY will charge you WHEN ever and HOW ever she likes!! Even when you confront her she will say Oh Im sorry then she will DO IT AGAIN even is she over draws your account TIFFANY DOES NOT CARE!! Otherwise I LOVE the gym itself and the trainers are EXCELLENT!! So just because of TIFFANY and her dis honest doings I will rate the gym 2 stars!!!

I love Kinetix. To me it is the perfect gym in Lynchburg. It has olympic weight bars, which is important to me as a former college athlete, and it also has classes, and 24/7 access. I love all these features. My favorite class has been Body Pump! Also, I love that it has childcare, because a lot of my friends who join have children and this is a must. Finally, I love that I feel like a part of a family there. The staff are so friendly and inviting, and I am so thankful for the relationships Ive built there. My husband and I have been going for over two years, and we love the spouse membership deal as well!

I enjoyed Kinetix. The price is great for a gym that includes childcare. I have enjoyed the classes. Joined for one of those promo things. Thinking of going back. It is with a two year contract if you dont do one of those promos that may cost more per month.

Now, dont get me wrong this is a nice gym with nice equipment, but the reason I give one star is because the staff sucks. You can tell they dont care whether you sign up or not. My husband and I both did a free trial and never signed up because the staff wont even talk with you about memberships. I went to golds gym and they were SO much nicer and willing to work with you on pricing and longevity whereas kinetex was just like nope. goodbye. I never got a chance to even sign up. They really do not care, and you can tell. I even saw them talking down to some people who were members of the gym. I never write bad reviews but this is just bad business.

Pros: I the gyms equipment is sufficient for powerlifting and weightlifting. There is plenty of cardio equipment that you wont have to wait for one to open up.Cons: My overall expression of the senior staff members is that they have shown to be untrustworthy and greedy when it comes down to money. They have a military discount and when I found out about it after my contract I ask if it could still be possible to receive that discount. He said he could revise it if I came back another afternoon. Well a few days later l when to that same person to remain him of the conversation and he then stated it was too late to do anything about it. So I given them the benefit of a doubt for that incident.One of the selling points they told me when I signed up, was that I asked if there would be boxing/fitness classes and they said it going to be set up for the members. Those sessions never occur and I shrug my shoulders again about the situation.At the end of my contract I ask if they would terminate my membership before a certain day so I dont get charge a month that I couldnt use. Well they didnt do that for me and charged me that extra month even through I told them I wasnt going to be in town any more and I was well over my yearly contract anyway.This could all just be negligence but they havent shown me the effort to work with me even through I was a patron for year.

Its just ok. The staff isnt really helpful. I was a newbie to the gym and couldnt find anyone to help me work some of the machines. The child care is an awesome feature and theyre very friendly, but Im always a little weary leaving my children there when there is only one or two people watching a bunch of kids and are completely out of ratio. Also, I had no idea I was signing up for a year contract when I applied, would have been nice to know.

Just be really careful to READ every word on any contract you sign with them. Do not rely on the verbal information from a trainer/sales person. I had to find out the hard way.......

Untrustworthy management. When signed up, I was told that if I referred someone, I would recieve a free month or a free session with a personal trainer. A few months later I did refer someone but they refused to give me a free month saying that they had stopped doing that 2 years prior.Also, when I canceled our membership in writing(the way they told me too) they kept charging me for 2 months and refused to give my money back.

The equipment is to my liking. However the customer service is horrible. Its borderline harassment from their staff. Just makes my blood pressure rise that my wife and guests are talked down to by their so called trainer named Ezra. Luckily my wife recorded the audio. After listening to the recording, its clear that they have a distaste towards potential enrollees and lack of respect for members. Its unforgivable behavior.
