I just bought a really old house and the AC started failing about a week after I moved in. I knew I’d have to replace and improve the HVAC system, but I was hoping to wait until next spring. I called McWilliams and Son in the morning and they sent a service technician that afternoon. Brandon was very informative and professional. He reviewed my options for short and long term solutions with my AC system and worked with my current budget. He got my AC system back up and running and gave me great advice about how to get the most out of the system I currently have to make it last as long as possible. I would definitely recommend this company.

The two are exactly the same. The furnace install is crooked as well and makes removing the front plate difficult, I have no photos but I also had to relevel the compressor.John Turner another man with the company did take the responsibility of honoring their 100% satisfaction guarantee by refunding me the wholesale value of the furnace I was sold as well as a few other items for a total of 1200 dollars of the 10,700 for the installation of the 4 ton unit furnace and thermostat.After all that has been said and done Gabe did say my new unit would be able to keep my house cool at 68 degrees, well in texas he was about 10 degrees off as the unit alone struggles to keep the house below 77 without the aid of two window units. My first month with the unit I used more electricity than I did in the first year owning the home with a 3 ton ac.Looking back I wish I had read a review like this encouraging me to shop around town instead of trusting the biggest name, McWilliams and Sons has put me 10k in debt and I still have a lot of work I will need to do myself simply because I no longer trust them, an additional point to be made is they weren’t even able to send the right size filters the first time around (i did get the correct size the next week).Last psa, please do not trust the salesman quoting your home if you do use MAS, they are SALESMAN they will try and sell you everything they can, don’t sign up for anything other than work you think should be done. Maybe I’m unable to be please, or maybe I chose a reputation that I suppose has outgrown itself and my expectations were just to high from the start.

Service tech Jay H. was on time, friendly and expeditious. Dispatcher was very helpful and kept me notified of the status of my services. When my current unit finally goes out, which might not be too long due to age, I will be buying a new system from McWilliams and Son. All service companies could learn a thing or two about how it’s done from these folks. Thank you for the great experience!

My guy came out after hours on a Saturday, and was very professional and pleasant. He repaired our unit in about an hour, and suggested some improvements we could make to make it better. He was awesome!

Bought my first home a few weeks ago, and found out the ACs were in rough shape. Called McWilliams and sons for help. The entire process was outstanding. It was unfortunate I found out I had to replace an entire AC unit, but they have a financing option that doesnt break the bank and a couple days later I have a new AC and no regrets. The install guys were early, polite, and worked hard all day to make sure everything was running great. I couldnt be more happy with the service. Will definitely be a repeat customer if I need it.

Excellent customer service in every way. They provided portable AC units (2) while awaiting scheduled replacement of our AC unit. Stayed in touch and even moved our install up one day which meant we were only without AC for one day in the August heat. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

McWilliams and Sons has been my Go-To HVAC professionals for over 2 years. It never ceases to amaze me the professional, prompt, and affordable services they have provided.I liked them so much I got on one of their many service plans for twice a year maintenance. This team of service techs and office staff is a must call group. And with extended service hours of 7am-7pm you will be pleased. I give them 5 stars only because there wasn’t an offer in this survey for more. Call for yourself. You’ll see.

This place is awesome. Had a mice infestation in the outdoor A/C unit, which ultimately caused a circuit to short. This happened later on a Saturday evening. I was panicked that it would be hard to get someone out ASAP before the house got too hot in this Texas summer heat. Not only were they so prompt to address my issue, where other places weren’t even going to try with it being the weekend (and a holiday one at that), but they did it without all the expensive tack-on fees I was expecting. I would definitely recommend these guys and will definitely use them again.

FINAL UPDATE... The third time was the charm. Andrew came out and spent several hours identifying what needed to be done and making adjustments. Day two after the new install not going so great. The new unit has issues and the shine has definitely worn off on service 😐… Hopefully they’ll get me smiling and cooling quickly...McWilliams and Son did a fantastic installation my new AC system today! Fantastic all around from the service department, the sales department, the installation team and scheduling department! Each time I was notified of my appointment time, and each time they sent me a text with an actual picture and description of the technician coming to my home. This is a most unique a novel approach to customer service which I appreciate it very much especially in today’s environment. Stephen, Derek, Billy, Jose and German were both knowledgeable and friendly. With out a doubt they are great examples of a winning and caring team philosophy. I really liked getting a text message with the technician’s bio and a picture! I found them all courteous and fair. Tyler tech, Billy sales, Andrew service and the scheduler were all professional and reasonable. It is expensive if repairs are needed but at least you can trust them. I’m not an easy customer as I understand HVAC but I would do business with them again.

Hands down the best customer service experience I’ve ever had. They are friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I replaced an AC unit in the spring and then had some issues with my heater this fall. It’s taken some doing to find the problem (because it was intermittent) and get the heater fixed but they have been great each time.

Called this company out to my residence to perform the $89 service check on my system. I know my system needed a few things done to it so the list of expensive repairs wasnt too much of a surprise. What I didnt like was the way the tech left my upstairs unit. Its a push to close push to open door and the tech put several pieces of black electrical tape on the door to keep it closed . A few days later the tape came off the door due to vibration and my ac quit working.

We have lived in our house for 7 yrs, it is a new house, the A/C worked great for the first 2-3 yrs and then we started to see it run for long times and not as cold as has been, we got a A/C man from a neighbor and hefixed it, but never as good as it was when new. For the next 4 yrs he was out here at least once if not more a yr and fixed it but never for real.I got upset with him once and he dropped us thank God. We asked a friend and he said McWilliams and Son so we signed up for a Gold memberthey are so friendly and professional plus the good quality. I am happy to say we now are cool like it was when new. If we had only known we could of saved a ton of $$ and been cooler all those yrs.THANKS McWilliams &Son

My ac unit went out on a Sunday. It quickly got above 100⁰ in my house I searched Google for HVAC repair near me and saw McWilliams and Son was highly recommended. I called on Monday and Tyler was out in a few short hours. Had my unit up and running better than before in less than 30 minutes. The price was fair and I added on some preventive maintenance since he was already here. Were very pleased and look forward to doing business with them in the future. I highly recommend them.

While waiting for ordered parts to arrive, McWilliams & Son loaned us a portable A/C unit. That was great help. Couldnt have made it without some cooling. Wonderful experience working with Mc Williams and Son. I called around 7:45 pm about an air conditioning unit that was not cooling. Weston came out and was polite and knowledgeable. He explained everything very clearly and let me know in advance what everything would cost. I can’t tell you what a relief it was to have him come out and fix the unit. I have good service with McWilliams and Son. They are always professional and friendly. Even though I feel like they are a bit over priced they come out at the drop of a hat and try to take care of your issues in any way they can! I have a maintenance plan with them and when it was accidentally canceled because my card did not renew and I had no ideal they fixed the problem and came out with no issues!!! BTW get their service plan! It is great!!!

Excellent experience with Stephen and his partner today. Scheduled for after 5 pm on short notice, they arrived at 2:30 pm (which was much welcome since you know... the AC wasnt working). They diagnosed the issues and both were very honest and upfront about pricing, showed the itemized bill, and walked us through each charge. They did nothing without our consent (instead of just fixing everything and charging us a costly bill) and were able to resolve the issue affordably and with quick results. 10/10 I would recommend this company if these two employees represent what they stand for- honest, competent, and a quality job.

Jimmy came out and looked everything over. Our unit was very old so after several options, all reasonable and not pushy sales tactics, we decided to go with new one. Jimmy advised someone would come out to talk and assess what we needed and Gabe showed up an hour or so later. He walked us through everything, and once again no pushy sales tactics and explained what we needed, what was best, and what wasn’t necessary. Two days later we had it installed and the two gentleman who showed up were professional, courteous, and informative throughout the day. By that afternoon we were in business and grateful to have heat! A great customer experience and highly recommend!

Cant remember the techs name but it took him about 2 minutes to diagnose the problem . I really appreciate a tech that knows his equipment. Problem corrected in about 5 minutes . Took longer to do the invoice than fix the problem. Great job.

My AC went out on a Friday night, tech Justin came out on Saturday, diagnosed problem and ordered parts. Came back on Monday to install parts and had AC up and running. My unit was 8 years old but still had warranty on parts so just paid labor and diagnostic fee. Very happy.
