The gymnastics and dance training is terrible. They lack technique, artistry, good choreography, basic skills and the list goes on and on. They do not compete in good dance competitions, they act like they’re better than they are and try to steal your money. IMPORTANT!!! MUST READ!!!! THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THE CDC GUIDELINES! IN A PANDEMIC! Dancers don’t wear masks correctly, and they don’t social distancing in the troupe room and studios!
My daughter really enjoyed her tumbling private. Ben is a great instructor!
Great family, awesome equipment, quality supervision . loved them as friends, neighbors, church folk. go Reggie, Denise, Janine, etc
My 6 year old daughter joined the gymnastics class 5 weeks ago. She was taught many things upon arrival. Her self esteem has increased among many other things. I absolutely enjoy Walkers Gymnastics. Great customer service. Affordable and the trainers are amazing. I intend on signing my daughter up for another 8 week class. :)
My daughter was a very shy 7 year old, I put her in dance at Walkers to help her be with other children and she loved to dance. She is now 14 years old, confident and apart of the competition team. The staff has embraced her with confidence and positive feedback that she continues to call Walkers her second family. The do require commitment, good work ethics and respect for the studio and each other. They are not only teaching her dance but life skills. I highly recommend Walkers for dance.
We love Walker’s—our daughter considers it her second home! She has been with Walker’s for over 10 years—starting with Mom & me gymnastics, then recreational dance and then the competitive dance team. At every age and level, she has received outstanding instruction from caring and conscientious teachers. The staff work hard to make sure all the children are dancing to their own best ability. The director and staff make sure that dance routines and costumes are age appropriate. I would highly recommend Walker’s to any family who is looking for a dance or gymnastics program!!
Our family highly recommends Walkers Gymnastics and Dance. Our children have been a part of both the gymnastics and dance programs as well as their competition teams for the past 8 years. Walker’s outstanding, highly skilled and very motivated teachers and coaches along with the director and staff not only bring top notch training to their students/athletes but more importantly teach them life skills including a strong work ethic, teamwork, confidence, respect, discipline and dedication. The offer a large variety of programs for all ages and levels. Their curriculum, costumes and music are always age appropriate. Walker’s continuously proves to us through their actions that the children are their top priority, creating a healthy environment for the children to strive. The Walker’s community tells a story on its own, made up of many wonderful, supportive families who have been with Walker’s for a very long time.
I love this place and ur kids should come there cheap and great for fun and easy competition because it’s super fun and when they teach you it’s like playing the game but then after they’re playing the game you win because if you’re having fun then you’re at the right place of course you are come over to Walker’s gymnastics and dance yahoo
Outstanding dance program-my daughter has had such a positive experience dancing here-the staff could not be more caring and dedicated. The kids all genuinely like each other and treat each other with respect. I highly recommend Walkers if you want your child to have a high quality dance education in a positive and supportive environment.
Walkers Dance Troupe has given my daughter the skills needed not only to be successful at competitions, but happiness and self-confidence. The routines are unique and entertaining and focus on technique. The teachers are kind, supportive and creative! You will never see the same old recycled routines each season. The love and encouragement these students have for each other is the true definition of Team.
I have had both of my children attend gymnastics and dance at Walkers. It is a fantastic place. My daughter has danced there for over 8 years, and would never go anywhere else. The quality of the teaching is fantastic. But, most importantly, the director puts the kids first. Her dance program is incredibly well-balanced, encouraging all dancers to be their best.
My daughter has been dancing here for 12 years. It has become a second home to both her and me. We have made many friends that have become family. The owner and teachers are nothing but kind, caring and encouraging. They are always working with the students to give them the best education. They are creative, technique driven and passionate about what they teach! I would highly recommend this studio to anyone with a child interested in dance or gymnastics.
Walkers is a place you can feel comfortable sending your children, whether they have natural talent or physical challenges, because ALL of the teachers and staff CARE about each of those children who walk into their class! Both of my girls dance at Walkers. My oldest is part of the competitive dance troupe, while my youngest aspires to be just like her older sister, which we worried may not be possible in the beginning because she has a physical disability that required physical therapy to strengthen her leg. She started with Creative Dance when she was 2.5 years old and the entire staff welcomed her with open arms and even added an assistant to the class to give her added attention without taking away from the other students. We were told she may never walk and she now takes ballet, tap, and jazz!!! I can honestly say that the doctors have been amazed by her progress and we all know its because of the classes at Walkers!!!! This isnt just a dance studio, it is an amazing family!!! If you want a phenomenal dance studio with top notch teachers, then you have found it! AND the confidence and skills that we have seen our oldest daughter gain in the past 4 years has been amazing to watch! Thank you to Janine Walsh and the entire Walker team for making everyone feel like a star.
Instructors cater to the individual and work with them to progress at their rate. Small pushes instead of being forceful. Many of the kids enjoy being there for practice and conditioning. I dont get any complaints from my daughter about the instructors or staff. Its a small price to pay for having people look over so many children and have a good relationship with them.
My daughter has called Walkers her second home for more than 10 years. As part of the competitive dance team, she has received superior training in ballet, modern, jazz, partnering, performance and fitness. The faculty routinely develops unique and challenging choreography that you dont see at most competitions. The team has also had performance and training opportunities that you just cant get at other studios, like annual showings of classical ballet variations and professional engagements at the Boston Contemporary Dance Festival and Summer Stages in NYC. Many students, like my daughter, have been with the studio for years and some even continue in dance programs in college and beyond. We wouldnt have chosen anywhere else.
Great place! This is my daughters third year on the gymnastics team and she absolutely loves it! Every night when I pick her up shes all excited about what new tricks she learned. The coaches are nothing, but kind and encouraging to my daughter. Would highly recommend!
Awesome place to learn Gymnastics!! The coaches are all very nice. Highly recommended.
By far the best training for your money. From ballet to tumbling, walkers is #1.
My daughter starting dancing at Walkers after having a bad experience at another studio. She was ready to give up her passion of dancing but Walkers has given back her confidence and passion to dance again. Not only are the teachers encouraging and amazing, they care! In less than a year this studio became her extended family. From day one the teachers, dancers, parents and owner have welcomed her and made her feel like she belonged. We only regret not finding this studio sooner.
Walkers is a wonderful, fun and nurturing place where kids excel in the arts, athletics, sportsmanship and learning the values of friendship. I am truly amazed at the skills my son and daughter have developed over the last 3 years, but I am more impressed with the great group of supportive friends and mentors they have developed at Walkers.
My daughter started off in the gymnastics program over 7 years ago and then continued on to the dance program and absolutely fell in love. Not only has she grown as a dancer, but also as a person. They stress self-growth, but also what it’s like to be part of a team. I highly recommend both the gymnastics and dance programs.
Beyond happy with our experience here at Walkers. The instructors are very knowledgeable and the attention to detail makes this school stand out amongst all other places in the area.
This is a second home to my daughters. The teachers are incredible and very nice to the kids. Highly recommended for dance and gymnastics.
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Teachers, Parents, and Dancers (Gymnasts too!) have serious attitude problems. Dance studios and gym are dirty.. My children have gotten ill many times after being there. Gym training is dangerous, dance training is sub-standard. If your child has any real talent, be prepared for bullying by other gymnasts and dancers, and their parents! Overcharged at times and never refunded for items not received (gym attire). Very unprofessional overall.
Both my daughters started here with gymnastics at age 3 and by elementary school were hooked on dance. Walkers has become their second home and they’ve learned so much more than dance, they’ve learned what it means to part of a team. The teachers, staff, and students all truly care about each other in and out of the studio.
Freshmen year of high school I joined the gymnastics team best choice I ever made I loved it and loved it more when we went to walkers gyms awesome and the staff is better the season is over and I cant wait for the next one, ( when is open gym? I will rush down there anytime and any day)
Our daughter has been going here for 10 years . Great place, friendly helpful staff . Would definitely recommend Walkers !
My two kids (4&7) take gymnastics classes at Walkers. Its a decent place, couches are fine - kids like them. Prices are reasonable.
My daughter has been going to Walkers for 3 years now and we Love it, the staff is great with the kids the owner Janine Walsh is just a wonderful person, we will continue going to walkers for sure.We definitely recommend walkers.
Love this place! It’s a second home to my daughter and the WDT is an extended family to us ❤️❤️
Well I am really flexible and been here since i was 2 and I am 14 now😊😊😊
I like this place for my 10 year old.the only thing I wonder about is if they communicate about your childs proper level.Ssome
Ive been going to walkers gymnastics since i was six. i started out as a preschool who was afraid of going on the floor by myself to a competitive level 4 gymnast within the first 2 weeks. i competed level 4-6 with the best teammates and for the best coaches. i was a level 7 i was only 10. my next year of competition i competed two levels. my coach and i decided to move to to level 9. therefore, i had to compete in a level out meet along with many other girls. we all excelled and was able to move to the next level. i was 11 and a level 9 because of this gym. i also experienced many once in a lifetime things such as getting to meet mary lee tracy and training with her girls and i also had my videos sent into Nastia Liukins dad, a former olympic coach. therefore, if you are looking for a serous place to train gymnastics or dance, Walkers is the place for you. the coaches are sweeter than candy but can be strict when needed. they help you get the job done. walkers will forever be my second home.
I was very disappointed with them!I had to take my 2 daughters are thereI not recommend...
STAFF RUDE AND EXTREMEMLY DISTURBING OF INDIVIDUAL!!! Came in inquiring about open gym and classes, never received a call back. Was told on one day my daughter could do OPEN GYM, when I came back in another staff member states that OPEN GYM was NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and it was exclusive for their members! Despite I was planning to sign her up for a class the same time, she would still not allow my daughter to OPEN GYM. This blonde hair middle age stressed out staff members tone and b**chy attitude was so rude and caused my daughter to cry. The only thing they got going for them is the area. Would not go back here. If thats how she is to guests, her passive aggressive attitude must fall play that onto the clientele.
Do they dance and do gymastics?
Its really amazing place
The instructors here have some serious attitude problems.
They over charge you
