I hit a blown tire on the road and I was an hour from home, I pulled over and noticed the intercooler was hanging by two charge pipes. I called the nearest performance shop to me and they were willing to get my car in as soon as possible, given that I didn’t have the proper equipment to get it fixed on the highway. They fixed the issue and replaced the hardware within an hours time and charged me a fair price. They were super nice and able to keep small talk and the lobby was really clean and nice to be in. Thanks to Scott for getting me in on 15 minute notice and the guys that worked on my car. I’d definitely go back for any other needs:)

Ive had my 325i and M3 serviced here for several years now with anything I cant do myself and I have been extremely pleased. They are very professional and do high quality work. Ive never had any issues with work they have performed. They are very knowledgeable about German cars so if you own one, this is the place to take it if you care about your vehicle.

Great shop and awesome staff

I went to them after I installed coilovers and new tie rods on my car for an alignment. They claimed they did my rear toe and front camber, but couldnt do my front toe because my tie rods were loose, and wanted to charge $250 to tighten them. I refused to pay that, took the car home, checked the tie rods and verified they were both tight. I ended up going to another place to Finish the alignment and found out they never touched my front camber, and couldnt adjust my rear toe due to no adjustments on my solid rear beam. The initial rack results from the actual alignment showed that SCR indeed did NOT adjust anything at all. I was charged $115 for labor for them to do absolutely nothing.

I have 3 cars they can’t work on. Honda Civic wanted an engine swap. Can’t do it. Paid them to fix my allroad. Didn’t fix it. Asked for a timing belt on an s4. Can’t do it. Just wondering what can be done here .

Called 45 minutes before closing on a Friday to get my tires flipped on my autox wheels. They were more than happy to help out even though Im sure they wanted to be done.

Excellent service at a fair price. Great to have a shop that can be trusted and has good relationships and standing with many local, high end car dealerships. As someone else had mentioned they treat your car as if it were their own, and they love their own. Great lines of communications to help you understand the issues before preforming necessary work as well as after the work begins. They fairly and justly recommend any additional work that they feel would benefit the customer in the long run. I trust SCR, that if they feel a part should be replaced while doing a service that could save the customer $$$ in the future, that it is for your benefit and not theirs. Great local shuttle service while your car is at their facility.

Look, I dont think youll find a place that cares as much as these guys about the quality of service they deliver. Im currently a poor college student that stumbled into a deal on a nice, fun daily driver. SCRs Pete knew I didnt have much to spend, but still he was gracious, accommodating, and prompt with the help and service.These guys not only know how to build cars, they know how to build customer appreciation, satisfaction, and confidence that your vehicle is in the right hands. Ive done my due diligence as a customer and shopped around northern Colorado, and I struggle to find a reason why you wouldnt pick SCR as your performance home-base. Again, the level they work on is far above my inexpensive toy; they could have turned their noses up at me knowing that in the short term, I have very little purchasing power. Instead of making me feel small, they did everything for me they could for a fair price, including future advice and a couple tips for if Id like to do some things myself.If youre a customer for whom character and trustworthiness is (almost) as important as the work itself, this is the place for you. When I graduate and find gainful employment in my field, Ill be using SCR for as much as I can, because they earned it with their excellent treatment of someone without the ability to be a large customer.At the time of writing, my car has been operating on an SCR tune for ~1 year, with zero problems and ~10k miles of pure joy.

I have had my Audi Allroad and my Jetta Sportwagen here and have had nothing, but a positive experience. My Allroad has over 180K and the techs still treated it as if she was brand new. Being a woman and walking into a performance car shop can be intimidating, but the staff are wonderful. The price was spot on from the estimate to check out and they were extremely communicative about the upcoming maintenance for both vehicles. Im relatively new to Colorado and was looking for a good performance/race car shop I could trust. SCR and the people that work there made me feel right at home, even when I questioned them on nearly everything up front (Ive been burned by other shops in the past). Their staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about cars.Theyve helped me with basic maintenance stuff, to helping me fully prep my race car. Theyre happy to do it all, no matter what the scope of the project and at a reasonable price.I sent my girlfriend there for a one-time fix; broken window regulator on her Audi and they were just as friendly to her as they were for a much more invested customer like me. (They did not know she was my gf, and we all know how some car places can be with the average woman). Plus, they didnt rip her off like certain dealerships quoted, who we wont name.Its nice to feel comfortable being able to talk to anyone there about the work being done on my car or just shooting the proverbial crap about cars in general.Highly Recommended. SCR is the only shop we will bring our cars to in Northern Colorado. Mark, Peter and everyone else there have helped us with everything from fuel pumps and control arms to oil changes and installing mudflaps. Never did I get that feeling that we were being pushed into buying something unnecessary or paying too much, the total opposite in fact. They will go above and beyond what you would ever expect from a performance auto shop. If you need are looking for the best shop Northern Colorado has to offer, SCR is it hands down.

Have not had work done yet, but called to check and see what they could do and price. Received information and was invited to come up. I did and found everybody friendly and helpful. I was even given a tour of the shop. Unfriendly is surly not how I would characterize this place. FYI: For those people that gave low ratings, check other reviews they have made. You start to see a trend. Will update after the do work for me.

I stopped by SCR Performance to get my APR tune switched on my 2016 GTI. I was traveling through and set up a last minute appointment no problem. Mark and Peter were very helpful and m even gave me a tour of their shop and cars while Peter tuned mine. They were very friendly and knowledgeable about my car and the tune, so I felt very comfortable. I would highly recommend them!

Whenever I need something done to my Subaru STI, I take it to SCR knowing that my car is in good, knowledgeable hands. I know many of the folks working there personally, and take comfort in the fact that getting my car set up correctly is their number 1 priority. I had a clutch installed at SCR and it could have went smoother than it did, however the owner corrected the situation. I think the shop does good work on other imports but evos are probably not their specialty,

I have had incredible work done here, maintenance and basic modification work.I have been treated the same every time regardless of if I was having my 30,000 mile checkpoint maintenance or having my coilovers adjusted and wheels/tires aligned.I trust Mark and his staff with my vehicles and I think they are worth the drive from Boulder every time.**** UPDATE ****Just had Mark and Peter perform a 30,000 mile checkpoint on my 2014 STi. Ive now brought two vehicles to them for the same check up and service and performance was equally as fantastic both times.

Very poor customer service, unless you regularly spend thousands at the shop. Long story short, there was a $40 discrepancy in my bill, and I brought it up. The owner got involved and acknowledged the mistake that his employee made. I asked for a refund for the $40, and not only did the owner refuse to refund it, but he also ridiculed me for worrying about such a small amount of money in his opinion, and also felt ridiculed for bringing a street car to his race car shop.SCR will also not let you talk to their techs, like every other shop Ive been to will. You will be forced to wait in the waiting room looking at printed out race results with the owners results highlighted.Do yourself a favor and just avoid SCR Performance.

I own a 17 Subaru STI that is my daily driver. However I also like performance driving it and had SCR do my first alignment on it about a year ago (Subies come with so-so alignments from the factory). Well I just changed out some suspension components (myself) to better performing types thus requiring another alignment. SCR could have scoffed at working on parts that a customer had installed but they didnt. They worked with me to customize an alignment to the new setup and what I wanted out of the car. They also spent a ton of time getting the alignment exactly where we wanted it even putting it back on the rack to tweak one last thing. The result (after last nights test drive) is that the car now performs as I want and has very neutral handling (tough in an AWD car) and great turn in. SCR is definitely a two thumbs up place in my book.

On three separate occasions work was either not done as I asked or done improperly. Great people but the emphasis appears to be on fast not quality and Im a three strikes your out kind of person so I wont be going back.

Took my car here to have my engine rebuilt. Up front everything seemed ok but after everything was said and done about 9k miles later I started having problems with my engine burning oil. I took my car back and was basically told when it gets real bad bring it back and we will fix it. I didnt have 4-6k sitting around to have my car fixed again so waited till I had the money and took it to another shop. They found multiple things that were done wrong on reassembly of my block. I reached back out to SCR to see if they could refund some money back for the incorrect work done and was told they couldnt do anything about it. Everything they told me were excuses to get out of what they did wrong. If you read other bad reviews this shop never takes responsibility for poor customer service and just makes it seem like its the customer that is wrong. I wouldnt recommend this shop purely based off the incorrect work they did and poor customer service they give after they have your money.

They messed up my transmission and could not tune my car? They did work on my meth injection and it was a lot better but I prefer Tobz any day over SCR

I spun a rod bearing in my 2007 Subaru STI. I wasnt sure where to take it but found SCR Performance while searching for local shops.I called to explain the problem and get an estimate for a rebuild. I also asked if I could get a tour of the shop to get a feel for it.Peter took great care of me. After explaining what I wanted from a new engine, he had a parts breakdown, including machining and labor, within about 45 minutes. I came to the shop and was given a full tour and was able to meet some of the guys.I chose to have the work done there. The total costs matched the estimate with no surprises. Peter had some recommendations and called to ask if I wanted to upgrade some components. I appreciated that.The engine ran strong and I learned more in a couple visits about the STI engine than I have since I bought the car. They added a couple aftermarket components and did a very professional finishing job. They also surprised me by cleaning and polishing my headlight covers and detailing my car at no extra charge.Not the end of the story:About 7,000 miles into my new engine and just after an oil change, The engine spun another bearing. I wasnt hot rodding the car or racing. I was mad and extremely discouraged. I limped the car to the shop and explained what happened.Although there was a delay because its their busy season, the SCR folks got on my engine as soon as they could. Peter verified the #1 bearing spun and explained that the short block came from Subaru preassembled.Even though they dont warranty custom engines and certainly could have laid all the blame on Subaru .. or me for that matter, they took great care of me and got the engine put back together. The car is running great and I cant thank SCR and Peter specifically for taking such great care of me and the car.You guys went above and beyond and I cant thank you enough.I have since brought my daughters Mini in for work and recommended the shop to several friends and colleagues.PS. They identified some uncanny maintenance on my daughters clutch assembly and got it all fixed correctly. They also identified other items which needed immediate attention preventing further issues with her car.I highly recommend SCR

I was part of the awdpirate community for years before I switched to BMW. This was my second time at SCR performance and I have to say I cant think of a better place. I do all the work on my car unless it requires playing with the ecu. I recently bought the epic motorsports tune through them for my M3. The tune itself takes a little while because the files have to be downloaded from the computer and then sent to epic in Florida, the files are then sent back modified and re-uploaded to the cars ecu. Their waiting room is very nice and the office workers are friendly and fun to talk to, I learned quite a bit during my wait. On the way home i noticed my car was quieter than usual without some rattles that had been plaguing the car lately but I wrote it off as placebo. However when I removed one of the door cards to adjust the window (it was smashed a while back), I found they had placed foam on the inside to fix a problem I hadnt mentioned. While it seems small, this is pretty awesome, it really was above and beyond. They really work on customers cars like their own and thats very hard to find. SCR Performance builds and maintains quite a few cars for different classes of racing so they know what they are doing. Their pricing is better than any of the other BMW shops Ive called for various reasons over the last couple years in Colorado and they do regular maintenance as well as performance. They also service other types of cars. Unfortunately their profit margins dont leave them room to discount services and labor when a customer is upset. I paid what I would have if I had done the tune myself at home. I will be returning next time I need something done that Im better off not doing myself. Thanks guys

This shop has been in business for almost 10 years. You cant fix everything or make everyone happy all the time. I have had great experiences when I brought my VW to the shop. The customer service isnt always the best but they do good work in a timely manner. I trust them to do the right thing for my car and not to add things I dont need.

Worked with Peter to protune my 2016 STI,Great dude and super knowledgable, they are very easy to work with. I would constantly call and ask questions about my car prior to the protune. He would always work with me to answer any and all questions, and emails back were same day.The day of the protune started at 9. We finished at 6pmish, which I dont mind waiting because he perfected it. The shopped closed at 5 but I could tell he was in no rush to leave until it was perfect. The car makes insane power now and pulls like a boss, Im glad he protuned it and will be going back whenever needed. And also I was very satisfied with the price. For a 91 tune and a separate aggressive water methanol tune, plus installation of the water/meth nozzleOnly ran me $630. He charged the standard $100 an hour for 5 hours but worked well over that amount.I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a safe but aggressive tune thats reliable.

I was treated like garbage by this shop, All work was done a high hp evo 8. Personally bashed by the owner on multiple levels. They handle there problems like children instead of taking responsibility. Lied to and played games with. Scr had an excuse for every aspect of crude work they had performed. this included broken parts and missing bolts and pieces. Ive also been harassed with personal messages from Scr regarding the situation. In which they have no kind words for me. I hope this review will make you think twice about SCR.

Very disappointed after all the good reviews. Following an all-day wait in SCRs (admittedly very nice) waiting room, they couldnt finish my car and neither could they return it to the way it was when I drove it there. No biggie, except that I had to rent a car to get to my home an hour away. Money out my pocket that they would not even pay a small part of or discount their own work on because it wasnt their fault. After the job was finally done, they sent me home with a CEL and without my stock parts that I need to swap back on immediately to pass emissions. Emissions issue is my fault for not researching downpipes enough. SCR not returning my stuff to me is not. Will update following resolution (or lack of).UPDATE: Its been 3 months, and a handful of voicemails left with no return call, but I got a call from Colin at SCR telling me that they have my oem hardware and I can come get it any time. He apologized and offered to help however he could. I already solved my problem with the help of a local awdpirate, but a late response is better than none at all. Service upgraded from poor to fair.

They are not concerned with properly fixing a problem and just create more that cause you to have to return in the near future to have them fixed. This establishment is not able to be trusted.
