Wonderful experience! Herbal pedicure was absolutely worth it. Theyre still doing a great job of masking and distancing, everything was clean and everyone was very friendly. I think I found my new favorite salon

I got the herbal pedicure and it was so great, best pedicure I’ve ever had. Serena was so kind and did a great job. I will definitely go back and recommend this place to everyone. They offer drinks to customers and make it very comfortable and welcoming.

We had an appointment set up but they were running 45 minutes behind...Thats okay because we went and waited then came back. The set up was nice but the sink was a bit dirty and there were ants randomly crawling around there and on the walls. The two nail appointments they did were great! However, my nails ended up peeling off the moment I got them and washed my hands on the same day...I got gel also with a slight cat eye glint. The cat eye didnt show up so theyre just metallic, they used the wrong color, and put wayyy to many coats of colored nail polish on because they didnt want to take it off to restart, so now theyre easily peeling off...I would recommend if you do a simple nail or get one of the younger nail artists as they did great. However, the older one had some trouble...

It take a very special person to do your feet and you can find that at Mimi. They do a great job and not to pricey check it out cool place

If you are not a regular customer here, I do not recommend coming. The women were very rude to both me and my mom while we were being very kind. Other than the poor interactions, the job that they did was also horrible. Some nails are noticeably longer than others, the shape is off, and they are very agressive when filing and buffing your nails. I will not be coming back ever again, and I hope people do not choose to come here.

Hadn’t had time to make an appointment because it was a busy day, but I made it to the salon at 6 pm. It closes at 8. The first thing I was asked when I walked in, “do you have an appointment” I answer no, nicely. Let’s me know it will be 20-25 minute wait. But there’s no more than 3-4 people in the salon. Just needed a quick fill. After that, I waited 25-30 minutes with no update or anything as to why. The woman and employees made it a point to keep reminding me that I would have to wait several times before letting me be seated as well. The staff is not friendly. Please, please, give your business elsewhere!

I have been to Mimis twice, and both experiences were awful. I have been getting my nails done every 2 weeks for the last 10 years, so I know how to spot good nail service. I went to Mimis the first 3 months it was open a few years ago, and it was the worst! The salon is broken up into rooms since it is in an old house. I was taken to a room in the back where I sat for 3.5 HOURS for a typical fill in. The girl had no idea what she was doing and was extremely nervous. I didnt want to hurt her feelings since she was so nervous, I ended up coaching her on what to do. I didnt even get french as usual as she messed up 4 times (by her own standard) and wiping them off, so I got a color. To top it off, I ended up missing the Louisville Basketball game that evening because i was still in the chair. No one ever came back to check to see how things were going as I was the only person in that room and I would have let them know. Manicure for 3.5 hours? It was torture.2 years later I gave them a second chance since my preferred salon changed ownership. The experience was slightly better being it only took 1.5 hours and I had a different tech. I recieved the pink and white service and they turned out bad- very thick and lopsided. The Tech checked her 3 cell phones every 5 minutes. You would think management would ensure they would check in on your service. As neither time were they busy. They have spent a lot of time making the salon look nice, but I prefer to be happy with my nails when I leave. Never again.

I cannot stress how hit or miss the service I have received at Miamis has been. I decided to try mimis after moving and no longer living near my regular salon. The first time I got a gel manicure was amazing and the man doing my nails was incredibly detail oriented and my nails looked great, though it took about 30 minutes longer than my regular salon. No big deal. The second time I got a dip manicure. It was horrendous. I was there for 2 and a half hours getting my nails done, and even though the woman doing my nails tried to fix it, my nails looked lumpy and club like in the end. My skin was attached to the dip gel powder and all of my nails are of varying thickness. My nails dont look like the work of a professional manicurist. I would not recommend this salon.

Well the nail shop is really pretty, but I had to wait about 40 minutes before they started on my mani/ pedi, my friend and I came there together about 12:15p, but she got her nails finished before I did, so there I was stuck there by myself waiting for my nail tech to finish. I didnt get out of there until 3:30p. Good service but slow as hell, and it wasnt even crowded which is what made it so bad.

The saving grace of this place is the polished look. I went for a fill in and gel finish. I called and was informed it would be 18$ for the fill in and 5$ for gel. It ended up being 15$ for the colored gel... I am not unhappy with my nails but I am unimpressed. Decent job, lousy reception over the phone. Probably wont go back.

I got a facial here, and didnt have a great experience. I found it very confusing that the front door of what clearly used to be a house was not the door by which you were intended to enter. I also waited (despite having a reservation) for more than 10 minutes after my reservation time, for a 30 minute facial. Fortunately my schedule was flexible enough to allow this wait. The facial itself felt good, except for two elements that stung horribly - however, when I told the esthetician, she changed products and used something more gentle. But, when I got up after the facial and looked in the mirror, I had awful red marks everywhere that she had touched - it looked like a bad sunburn all over my face and neck. I was very self conscious, and concerned that there was something wrong, but my esthetician left and didnt come back to talk to me. Fortunately, the redness went away after a couple hours, but it was concerning. Additionally, the receptionist seemed very unfriendly.All that said, the actual facial felt amazing, and my skin has never felt softer.

The manicure I received was inferior and only lasted 2 days. The employees were very difficult to communicate with. They know very little English. I will not waste any more money at Mimi’s.

I’ve been here twice. The first time I came here after leaving a salon that had totally butchered my nails for 50$. The tech fixed and redid them FOR FREE. And they were perfect and even. The second time my boyfriend and I came in for a pedi. I got the deluxe pedi and I was not disappointed. For 45$ at any other salon I’ve been to I’ve left upset or my toes hurt. Here they are gental and do an absolutely amazing job. They pay attention to detail and it is worth every penny. Totally recommend Mimi’s to anyone and everyone.

Staff was friendly but it was hot inside which made for an uncomfortable visit. My husbands pedicure and massage looked like it was much more thorough than mine. Lol If I ever go back, Ill ask for the girl who worked on him.

I was very disappointed by my recent trip to Mimis for my best friends birthday. She got a shellac polish change and her technician trimmed a huge chunk of her cuticle, which hurt and bled profusely (I understand mistakes happen and the tech was very nice and apologetic...but a disappointing experience on your birthday!!!). I got a French shellac mani and regular toenail polish change; my tech was very friendly and polite...but it was $55 and it didnt even include hot towels or lotion!!! When I went to check out my tech very pointedly asked if I wanted to include a tip, which was awkward. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I left like I spent a lot of money for a disappointing experience. I will point out that the techs were nice and maybe it was just a bad day, but I will probably not be going back.

I hope they are more friendly than their sister store Red Nails in St. Matthews mall I was a new client my nails were done great so that wasnt the issue it was the way I was treated but I had an event to go to and they were the only place open at that time they will not get my business anymore and its sad they are not friendly cause I loved my nails and would have went back but I dont kiss ass!!!!!

One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a salon. I never do this but my friend and I were out of town and had a very important event so needed our nails done. Only place open on a Sunday. Short staffed! Feet in water 2 hours and forgot about. Then they spilt something on the floor and did not clean it up and I fell in he front lobby. Will never be back. Btw the massage chair was not as great as it looked.

Never disappointed! I patronize both MiMis and their sister salon, Pro Nails in Oxmoor. I most appreciate the diversity MiMi promotes in her salons by hiring technicians of all ethnicities. I respect the take care of our own, mentality of many Asian-owned salons, but that exclusive hiring practice is a turn-off where language and other cultural barriers that often exist, are concerned. Tracey and MiMi are always kind and respectful to me, Im not picky, but I have my preferences, which Im entitled to since Im spending my money, and both ladies do just what I like without negative feedback. Whatever you hair, skin, nails or massage needs, these two salons will deliver with class and professionalism!

My husband And I just got a hot stone massage And a pedi And I can honestly say it was The best expierance, The staff Is so friendly And make you Feel so confortable!!! Its a beatiful place! I wish I lived closer because I would Be there everytime when in need for a relaxing time. They even brought My husband a birthday candle And ice cream!!!:)
