First time with acrylics. They worked as a team, but Judy did my nails and I really love them. One nail is little wonky but I couldnt tell until I got home, it doesnt bother me though. Thanks, I will definitely come again!Update 6/19Came back to get them removed, still loved them but acrylics are not for me. Got just gold gel this time and a Mani. They did a great job!

Absolutely horrible!I received a pedicure and acrylic from Henry and the shapes are uneven, three days later it started lifting and coming off. There were bubbles in the acrylic and gel polish with visible brush strokes. When I went back to get it corrected and the lady “manager” just wanted to file and not buff anything, she refused to fix or see anything wrong with it.

DO NOT COME HERE! They do not listen to your request of what you want, always tend to do their own thing. nails chip and crack easily. I used to come here all the time when i was 15-16 and then stopped because service became very poor. here i am 4 years later and their service is still bad.

This is actually myy third time coming here and overall I like it. Reading the reviews about being treated poorly because of the color of your skin....I was skeptical. The first and second time was wonderful, but today I came in on a Saturday. The lady that is the greeter had a very poor attitude today. She did not greet me, did not smile. She actually had a mug on her face while telling me to pick out myy colors and while she was applying the cotton to soak myy dip off. She still had a mug when she set me up for myy pedi. I just thought she was having a bad day until a group of opposite color from me came in, and her whole attitude changed. I watch in shock. She greeted them kindle helped them pick out their colors and held a conversation with them while getting them set up. Another group came in after that and she was still very nice. It really disappointed me. But I knew she wouldnt be doing myy nails. A very young girl did, and she was great. Then myy same guy who does the dip was so very nice as always. He is amazing!!! So thats why I rated 3 stars because of her..but as you can see the guy who does the dip does a great job. But that skinny lady who gets you set up when you first come in...she is everything that the reviews say about her...smh

Great place to go. It was my first time and I will be back. I got a pedicure and the did a amazing massage on my feet.

Love it they are here to please me. They have great customer service. And I get really bad I grown toenails and they are great about digging them out. And if anybody gets ingrown toenails they know what Im talking about.

Always a great experience!

I went in wanting a basic French manicure. The nail tech took a total of 10 monitors to complete my manicure. No filing. No cuticle cutting. No massage. Additionally, nothing including the techs hands/work space had been cleaned or wiped down. When I asked for regular polish (gel disturbes my nails) I was scoffed at. The tech did the job of a 1st grader. I am not a confrontational person, so I left but I realized that I can’t just say nothing when they’re taking people’s money.

Offer dip sets for nails. Much healthier option for your nails, yet is not offered by many other shops. Very clean, sterile setting with nice nail techs.

Ive gotten my nails done twice here now, and Ive loved them every single time. My first appointment was a full gel-x set. They is so precise with her work and always makes sure my nails look amazing. They takes them time and pays attention to detail. They is simply the best!!!

I have looked for 3 years to find a salon of this caliber. Great pedicure for a low price with great customer service. The gel soak in that starts the pedicure is divine.

The lady I had was awful. She was in a rush. Cut my cuticle with the file. Nails were uneven with jagged edges. Surface not smooth with dipping powder. I was in from out of town for an extended visit and had to get my nails done while here. I was very disappointed. Worst nail experience I have ever had and I have been getting my nails done for 20+ years.

Mid City Nails has friendly staff and they do an excellent job. Everything has always been clean, but with reopening after covid 19 they have really done an fantastic. They have plexiglass guards and everyone wears a mask. They do temperature checks and have hand sanitizer everywhere. I watched the staff clean each station as soon as someone got up. 👍🏼

My wife was very disappointed in her nails she’s not picky by no means. Also disappointed that price posted on the board was not what she was charged but ten dollars more. Do not recommend.

STAY AWAY!!! Took my 12 yr old daughter ther to get a pedicure. LITERALLY the biggest mistake I have made with my child. Her feet were INSTANTLY infected and she had to have surgery. This place is foul. Im not sure they changed the water in between pedicures. My poor child now has to go to have a second surgery to correct the infection. This is the only time she has had a pedicure in her life. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

The nail tech did a wonderful job and was quick. The only downfall is walk-ins. They do accept them but there is rarely an opening, make sure to schedule an appointment.

I have gone here a couple of times now and have been very happy with their workWait time has been pretty good as well!

They give really good pedicures & the gel polish last. It never chips off. I went a whole month without getting my nails done and it still looked great.

Rude, Short with people. The last review talking about the manager who welcomes people when someone comes through the door. It sums up the place!!!! Convenient location and open on Sundays but I rather use my gas and drive somewhere else. If you are looking for a Pedicure to last longer than 20 minutes, I do not recommend!

They were extremely well staffed, so I didn’t have a wait even though I walked in on a Saturday afternoon with no appointment. The man doing my nails was extremely friendly, my manicure turned out beautifully, and it was only $16!

Have been to this shop many times since is it right by my house. I always get there an hour before they close due to my work schedule. They are always nice and still take the time to make sure my nails are exactly how I want them!

Went in for Mani/pedi with my mom and daughter. The salon was super clean and smelled really fresh. The service was great for all 3 of us. My manicure has lasted longer than usual for me. The employees were all friendly. There are a few nail salons near by that I havent tried, but I think MidCity did a great job.

They took their time & I enjoyed the experience. My acrillic nails lasted 3 weeks! My fill-ins lasted another 3 weeks! Great quality 💅🏼

Terrible service! Only wanted my toes polished! After waiting for an hour just left! Kept taking people who wanted more expensive things! Pedicure and manicure went before me like 5 times! She kept saying you next!

Came on a Sunday and waited about 20 in the lobby then 20 minutes in the chair for my pedicure. The actual pedicure lasted under 20 minutes at a premium of $27.00 for a no-frills service. Biggest complaint is that my toenails were cut extremely short and jagged. Looking forward to a couple days of pain until they grow out.

First let me say when I walked in and was not greeted and it catched me off guard because I am usually greeted when I walk into a salon but A few minutes later another woman walks in and she happens to be white and she was greeted by at least three of the workers. So that was definitely a red flag since I am black, so once my services were I started I could tell my nail tech seemed very irritated she gave me a very fast pedicure but the work she did on me feet is fine. My hand are a different story. I asked for a trim on my acrylic nails and she butchered them my nails are so many different lengths that it is embarrassing to say that I even went to get them professionally done. That was one of the worst nail salon visits I have ever had and that was my first and last time ever going there.

I walked in and was told to sit in Chair 5, were a tech stood in front of me watching TV. I begin to look around and another one of the techs said something to him and he sat down and started doing my nails, without saying anything to me...very rude. I asked him how he was doing, he said nothing. I did notice that no one was asked to pay for their nails until after their nails were dry, and they were on their way out the door. To my surprise, the guy doing my nails asked for my payment half way through the service. I hesitated, but paid at that time. He was even shocked when i tipped him. I then paid extra attention to how everyone else was asked to pay..which was after their nails had dried. I even let my nails dry for 30 minutes, trying to convince myself that maybe I was taking everything wrong, because at that time I noticed that I had been the only black person there the whole time. As soon as I sat down to dry my nails, another black girl walks in to get her nails painted by a lady tech, which takes half the time mines did, however, sure enough, half way through her service, she was asked to pay and she said why am i paying now, your not even finished. Her tech responded with a very nasty attitude saying Ill wait. At about 30 minutes of drying I realized I had seen enough and was quite sick to my stomach, but then the tech who had done my nails was finished with the girls nails that he started working on right after me, and he walked her to the nail drying station, looked over at me, then said to her you pay when dry....wow. I hate to believe this situation for what it is...i will never go back to this place!! My nails have streaks in them anyway...the skill level is obviously lacking. I make MORE THEN ENOUGH money to pay for my nails...but obviously my skin color tells them otherwise...SAD!!

Supposed to open at 12 showed up at 12:15. Credit card machine down told to go to atm. Asked if could write a check, told they do not accept. Came back to pay and older woman was paying with check! After complaining they reimbursed my $3.25 atm charge.

I usually have okay experiences with this salon. Two of the nail techs are very nice and usually ask me how I am. Although, the last time a nail tech who has worked on me before (Ive been going here for 2 1/2 years) rudely asked me to sit down and what color I wanted. She wouldnt make eye contact the whole time she worked on me but made sure to REALLY greet everyone coming in the door no matter how far away. I did not get greeted this time, sometimes I do, sometimes I dont. I tipped this woman after I left because I thought she was having a bad day. She snatched my tip out of my had and walked away. After 2 1/2 years of sometimes great, sometimes okay service, Im taking my business elsewhere even though this place was super convenient.

Sounds like some of the complaints are more due to language barrier than rudeness. They have always been friendly to everyone when I’ve been there. Steven is the only nail technician I’ve used in Louisville who gets nail dipping done right. It takes a little while - he’s a perfectionist.

Made an appointment at 10am on a Saturday, which is the time it says they open. Stood outside waiting with several others and technician showed up at 10:20am. When I ask why they didn’t open at 10am, he said “we work late and you should go have breakfast and come later”. Rudest most unprofessional place I’ve ever been.
