I normally do not write reviews, but this is so deserved, I must. The best automotive shop I’ve ever been to!!! I am always treated with respect & kindness, with a presumption I am intelligent enough to understand the issues & proposed course of action. As a woman, this is very refreshing, as unfortunate as that is. Steven Kelly provides excellent communication, detailed information, and is amazingly accommodating. He goes above & beyond to help me. Nermin is a true expert & I have confidence in his diagnosis. His education & experience are readily apparent. There have been times I have had exorbitant dealer estimates they’ve easily resolved at much more reasonable costs. So grateful to have found them!!! Highest recommendation possible!!! Do not hesitate. I have complete faith & trust in them.

THEY ARE THE BEST!!! I was travelling cross-country in my conversion van when my fuse blew in the middle of nowhere KY. My inverter soon died and with it, all my electronics, fans, fridge, etc. I called them when I was still an hour away and they were about to close and they stayed open and waiting for my arrival to help me out. Not only did they fix the fuse but they took the time to teach me how to fix it on my own in the future and supplied me with extras. Steven & Steven were so kind, helpful, and caring! I feel much safer on my trip knowing they took the time to look at my van and help me out. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

They were able to take me in no problem when the issue began the same day, and were quick in getting the part in repairing the coolant hose that was leaking. Also got a great explanation on what the issue was and how they managed it and things to look forward to the future. Was wary of a new mechanic and they did not disappoint!

Im really happy with the service and with the customer support. They worked with me the whole way and let me know what options I had. I didnt feel like I was completely hopeless because of a big repair. They helped me with financing and made sure my car was taken care of. Good group of guys. Got my car in and out of there pretty fast with quality work done. They diagnosed and changed my ignition switch in my 2014 Dodge Avenger and got me back on the road!

Had a coolant leak issue that they took in even tho they were busy. These guys are the nicest people Ive ever dealt with regarding auto repair especially considering how busy they were but they helped get my daughters car back on the road asap. I will 100 % use them again in the future!

I came in due to a rattling noise on start up and even though the shop was packed and backlogged they still took the time to send a tech out to my car to ensure it wasnt something that could be fixed relatively easily. Luckily the tech quickly identified the issue and even took the extra 20min to fix it right then and there. AAA professionalism and customer service!

If you have a car older than 2001 they do not work on it. Would have been nice to know that before hand for a company that says they do it all. Maybe they do good service Ill never know. Dont really recommend. Service rep was kinda rude.

Traveling through Louisville en route to Georgia and experienced some mechanical problems that would have left us stuck on a Friday morning. On literally zero notice, they agreed to see our vehicle and assess the problem. 3hrs later they had us back on road again. Very accommodating auto shop. Incredibly professional and knowledgeable team,..they got us fixed up and back out on road in no time! We were so thankful and impressed we bought them lunch. Highly recommend these guys to anyone!

Great shop filled with folks who will not upsell or BS you about what’s going on or price. I’ve never felt pressured to get my car serviced or to do something I didn’t think was necessary. The owner is a great guy who obviously cares about his small business so it’s nice to support a local car shop that does great work for a good value instead of a big chain that pumps cars in and out. If you are interested at all, check the place out and get an estimate on some work. I guarantee it’ll be one of the most pleasant first-time mechanic experiences you encounter.

I called them and explained the issues I was having with my vehicle, they told me twice to bring the car in for a free evaluation. That they would take a look at the car free of charge, so after they gave me a quote, I told them I was going to take it to another mechanic to get another quote. This is when they told me that I owe them $125 dollars for the evaluation, and that “their mechanics don’t work for free” 😂😂😂😂😂 super unprofessional also

New to this area of town and found this place and gave them a shot, they are now my go to shop! Great service all around. From the easy communication and work order confirmation via text, to the timely manner in which the work was completed, it would be hard to justify going anywhere else. Had brake work done on an old truck and they were able to save me hundreds by taking their time and not breaking bleeder valves on the calipers that are probably nearing the end of their life, but not needed to be replaced at this time. They also dropped in 2 née batteries I supplied and didn’t gouge me on the labor cost. All around very happy with my experience and will share Louisville Automotive Shop’s contact info with anyone who needs quality work done at a very fair price!

A+ for Louisville Automotive Shop. Last month I had my Dodge fixed by the great team that Nermin has at the shop. Honestly had an engine issue going on for the last year that two other auto shops in Louisville could not diagnose correctly because they weren’t as thorough, and Louisville Automotive Shop diagnosed accurately. They had knowledge of the history with issues around Dodge motors that was causing my vehicles issue, consulted with me throughout the entire process, and they keep you in the driver seat on your repairs by keeping you informed on the options around the repairs needed. Between the pictures provided from the diagnosis of repairs needed, to bringing me in to the shop to better show me the worn parts and issues, they are upfront about your vehicle needs. It was also one of the cleanest auto shops I have seen, showing me that if they take care of their business, they will take care of you as a customer and your vehicle. They are also great with communication, utilizing text to provide you a link to visually be able to see your diagnosis, recommended repairs and cost, and capability of authorizing the work. I took my 1998 Eclipse there to get looked over after buying it and they were very honest and up front with me about what was wrong with it. I had them to do recommended maintenance and it feels like a much better drive than before. Ill be bringing my other cars as well in the future.

I went to Louisville Automotive Shop to check out a used car I was thinking of buying. Everyone there throughout my entire visit was helpful and warm, from the receptionist to the mechanics who took the time to explain what was going on with the car. Not only are they experts on Subaruss (the car I had brought in), but they explained everything in an extremely cogent and easy to understand way, without talking down to me or being condescending. As a young woman who doesnt know much about cars, the treatment I received at the Louisville Automotive Shop was exceptional - I felt respected, safe and also gained a much greater understanding of automotives -- an experience miles above that at any other mechanic Ive been to. ***Highly recommend*** Fair prices, great service** I needed a thorough inspection and diagnostics prior to starting a new job (cant miss work or be late with a broken down car!), and I need to travel in the near future. The owner drove my car to diagnose potential issues, and later Stephen called and did great in advising what was needed, and what I would need in near future based on inspection. They replaced the serpentine belt on my Honda CRV at a fair and reasonable price! I will use them again! Thanks guys!

I found Louisville Automotive Shop in my google search and it had good reviews so I decided to give them a call when my van died on me. They had a drop box for keys so it was convenient to drop off after hours. They called me the next morning to let me know my alternator was bad and that they wanted to get my approval to order the parts and to do a diagnostic for electrical issues and let me know they would only do an hour of testing and if it needed any further testing they would call me for approval before doing so. They also changed my oil. It was ready the next day and has been doing good so far. It was really nice to have the owner, Nermin, send me a follow up text to make sure everything was doing okay. I would definitely use them in the future and recommend them to friends.

The good folks at Louisville Automotive Shop did a superb job for me after an unexpected breakdown. My car arrived via tow-truck, and they gave me an accurate, honest, and fair assessment of the problem(s). Furthermore, they were communicative and flexible with some issues around my complicated schedule. I just picked the car up today, and couldnt be happier with the work! Too expensive, I would have been more satisfied with options. Labor was more expensive than the dealership and parts was the most expensive part you can get for that car. The staff was friendly and the shop was very clean. It was definitely done in a timely fashion. If I was given options I would definitely return to have more car repair done.

In the midst of trying to clear the 1/4” ice from my windshield this week, I broke my windshield wiper and it would no longer move. I called several service shops in town and a) no one would help me before the following week, and/or b) they wanted a “diagnostic fee” to even tell me what the issue was. Based on the outstanding reviews I phoned Steven with Louisville Automotive and he was fantastic from the first minute. He offered to get me in the very next morning, and offered to go pick up the part himself if needed in order to give me the car back same-day. THEN, when I arrived to drop it off, his mechanics quickly figured out it was only a bolt needed, and within minutes they had me on my way with 2 working wipers ... at no charge. Great experience, and superb service. Even though I live out of town, I will tell all of my Louisville family and friends to bring their cars here.

Was charged less than the original quoted price for repairs because they found out they didnt have to do as much expensive work. Never had a mechanic lower a bill because they didnt do as much as they thought they would have to. An honest mechanic who would have thunk it.. they always answer the phone and they are very willing to answer questions. I have taken many cars too many places to have them fixed throughout the years, this is the only mechanic I will use now. Strongly recommend. I found them because I checked ratings for mechanics in my area and they were the highest rated. I now know why

Great place to go for quality fast service, they tell you what the problem is and make sure any other problems are diagnosed. Really professional, I would recommend, doubt I would have any problems with my car anytime soon but they are my go to place for sure.

We came here after a different local mechanic did not fix our car properly. I spoke with Nermin personally and he along with his support staff, made sure they found my cars issue and explained it to us in detail. Great people!! Went out of their way to help when my diesel was struggling in the way home still almost 400 miles from home. They help communicate the issues to the dealer where it needed to go as well as myself and my brother. My starter motor wasnt wouldnt start but these guys got it back up and running better than before in just a few hours!They also alerted me to a few other problems without trying to upsell me then and there, but Ill be back to get those problems taken care of.

Took vehicle over car making a thumping noise.. They quoted me over $2000.00 worth of damage... I know the whole front end being replaced isnt required to fox a wobble. Anyway i told them could they at least just take away the thumping ... So i paid 500.00 gor a lower controll arm and serpetine belt and of course my probmems are still there. Although ... The car does drive a little better. But why cluldnt they tell me what was causing the thumping....

They put a valve cover gaskets on my car did a great job but when I got in Cincinnati my car smelled like something was burning still but I made it thanks alotFor getting me home God did it

On August 17, 2020, I took my 2010 Honda Civic in to have them check the engine gasket cover reseal; another car company stated that the engine gasket cover reseal needed to be done that costs equated to $800.00. However, the Louisville Automotive technicians informed me that my car didnt need that service performed and they saved me $800.00!! I am only taking my car to them now for future car services and will be referring family and friends to this reputable car company!! Im so glad that I found them on the internet!

Louisville Automotive is truly the best! I moved to Kentucky in 2019 and was referred to Louisville Automotive by another mechanic in the area because I needed someone who could work on a Sprinter van. I brought my van in a few times in that year for oil changes and B service and each time everything was done timely and professionally. I just recently had more work done on the van and everything went smoothly - they made sure to have it ready for pickup before the weekend and it was good to see they took extra covid precautions in the reception area. They are great at quickly responding to calls/texts (Shoutout to Kasie, you rock!). Nermin was great at explaining all of the options and at one point even recommended I go to the dealership to check if anything was covered under warranty. He always takes the time explain things to me (a total noob) I am extremely grateful to have found an honest and trustworthy shop to work on my Sprinter. Also am very happy to be supporting a local independent business instead of being price gauged at a dealership! Also, the new online quote system is great, I appreciate seeing in writing the cost and name of parts that needed replacing. Made the whole experience seamless.

Super clean shop

I drove from out of state to Louisville to purchase a 2019 used Tahoe and wanted to have a pre-purchase inspection done. I called in the morning on my way there and they were able to fit me in the same day. The price I paid was very reasonable especially considering he found something that needed repaired which would have cost me several hundred dollars if I had believed the dealership when they said they did their own inspection and everything was fine. Because of his report the dealership agreed to fix two items that were found. I wish this shop was in the city and state that Im from because if it were I would be a very loyal customer. Also the shop is very clean.

Nermin and his team were great! They got to my car so quickly, made sure I was aware of everything that was going on, and were flexible and and punctual in conversing back and forth. They also take photos and record everything into a user friendly profile of your car that you can review. Will definitely use them in the future!

I was experiencing shaking in my truck when getting up to highway speeds. I thought my Ujoints on my drive shaft had gone bad. Nermin informed me that actually my calipers had gone bad and were starting to stick which was the cause of my problems. I have never had a shop take the time to explain things like Nermin did. He actually FaceTimed me showing me the underside of my truck. Doing a full walk through and answering any questions I had. He explained to me what to look for and what is normal on my truck. I do a lot of the basics on my truck myself but any project that is out of my capability I will be using Nermin and his team! I would highly recommend this shop!

2007 Honda CR-V needed new AC compressor /clutch. Unlike many autohauto repair shops this place is highly organized and I impressedw with the work quoting and approval system that notifies via text. Shop was also very clean and looked wellowell Especially loved their attention to scheduling, didnt hold my car in the shop to stand in line like many places still do. We dropped off on a Sunday nite and picked up Monday afternoon. Highly recommend.

Today, in the late afternoon (as all car problems so conveniently present themselves as close to or after repair shop closing time), my car door all of a sudden would not shut. I work in the hospital and my car is my lifeline in these crazy COVID times and the car would certainly be out of commission after succumbing to a drained battery from an open door. Nermin, the owner, SO generously allowed me to bring my car in right away and personally took care of my cars issue as soon as I arrived and explained to me exactly what was wrong. Nermin is extremely knowledgeable, skilled, professional, and so kind. He took such good care of a complete stranger in her time of need and I am beyond grateful. We were heading home to Oregon after driving our 1988 560SL on a 7,000 mile road trip and looked for someplace to have the oil changed. After reading the reviews for the dealer in Louisville and the reviews for Louisville Automotive we gave them a try. We are thrilled we did. They were very busy and without an appointment they did the work and found a cracked belt changed that, did a safety check and we were on our way. they even checked on us a couple days later to make sure everything was good. What a great experience, reasonably priced, no overcharge for out of town visitors. Louisville you are lucky to have this business in your town.

Ive only been here once for a second opinion but trust me when I say I will be coming back. The owner is hands on with every car and likes to give you full detail on what is going on with your car, he even takes you to Bay and talks you though what is going on with your vehicle before he does anything to it.Its hard to find good honest mechanics now a days but this is one of them. They never try to over sell you or make you think you need something you really dont.Come check this place out, its worth it.Side note, its hard to find but its a gem nonetheless.

I found this place by accident when my car broke down leaving me stranded on the side of the road. The owner was truly wonderful! He diagnosed the problem right away, was fast and efficient with the repairs, and even gave me a ride home and a ride to the shop. I’m new to town, and this place was a true lifesaver in my time of need, and I’m so glad to have my care back and running great! Will definitely be using them in the future.

Found this gem on Bardstown Road. Went here for windshield nozzle problems and oil change. Brian was professional and helpful. As mentioned by other reviewers, he showed me what was going on and explained the solution. Oil change was not a 15min deal but was fast compared to other competitors. Would recommend to anyone and will come back again.

My experience is based on using the shop for a pre purchase inspection. Heres the catch. I live in RI and was looking at buying a truck in KY. Naturally I wanted the truck looked over before committing. I found the shop which already had real good reviews, I ended up speaking with Nermin on the phone for a while and detailing my concerns. Nermin was very professional and easy to speak with about what I was looking for.His shop inspected the truck, completed an online report which was sent to me. It was very detailed including checking temperature of the heat and a/c, battery voltage, tires, cosmetic damage, evidence of accidents etc. They were extremely thorough and conducted the inspection in a very timely manner. The entire report contained photos is items and the damage as well as listing things that were ok, needed attention either immediately or in the future.As someone on the verge of spending thousands and thousands of dollars the piece of mind and ease of working with Nermin and his shop is more than I could have asked for. Since I live across the country I doubt Ill ever need to use their services again, but I wouldnt hesitate to go back in a heartbeat.

I had Louisville Automotive Shop do a pre-purchase inspection on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter I was looking to buy. The cost was entirely reasonable...a third of what the MB dealer wanted, and they did a great job. They found several items that could use attention in the near future, gave me line-item estimates on each issue, and advised which items were more critical and which could wait a while to fix. This gave me great confidence to go ahead and purchase the van. This was a great relief, since this is my first Sprinter, and I have learned that they can have some real maintenance nightmares.

Nice to know that theyre still honest people left in the world. I took my Mercedes Sprinter in he explained everything to me test drove it... it was awesome, very knowledgeable and helpful.

When I had my rear differential serviced, it was quick, expert hands on my old mustang, and not pressured to buy anything extra. Also let me know about recommendation on my wheel bearing (told him I was hearing a noise).
