I have been here for nearly a year now, and have just renewed for another. They have truly earned every star! Courtnee was great during the move-in process. The office staff returned our calls promptly, and we were able to complete everything within a day or two. Allen and the maintenance staff have consistently responded quickly to any issues, and fix things completely. What sets this place apart is the professionalism and care that the staff put into their work. I highly recommend!

Apartments are decent staff is pretty nice! The neighbors on the other hand are super nosy and can’t seem to mind their own business! They are constantly in everyone’s business and trying to get others evicted in the building! I come to see my girlfriend every so often and anytime I have been here these neighbors want to harass us by calling the office about me being here! Love the place just wish the neighbors would just mind their business and stay out of other peoples life’s! Rent is paid on time and we don’t bother anyone why is it that people just can’t live their life and stay out of others!

My husband and I have been here for two years and are truly happy. The leasing and maintenance team truly work hard to make our community a beautiful place to live. Some tenants throw trash and food on the grounds and hours you see the maintenance crew as well as the leasing team picking up garbage and trash. I appreciate the team and will say, if you are looking for a new rental home, we welcome you to the Shadow Ridge Apartments Family!

Overpriced! Lived here for over a year, paid $1200+ a month and the units are completely outdated by about 20 years+, literally everything is outdated but before I moved they were supposed to start renovating but COVID hit. The bedrooms didn’t have fixed lights which is mind boggling for $1200/m, they said I had to purchase a light and they would install, ridiculous. No matter what light bulbs you get the place is always dim. Can hear neighbors pretty clearly. Pros: They staff were great and friendly and nice area to live in.Don’t recommend for the money

After selling my house June of 2018, I moved back to Shadow Ridge Apartments; I say back because I had lived here in 2004 after my divorce and had found it to be exceptional then, and after 14 years, it is even better!I looked at almost every option available in apartments before deciding to come home to Shadow Ridge. The the office staff, maintenance team and price would have been enough to lure me back, but when I added in the spacious units, homey like floor plans, along with well maintained, mature grounds with lots of trees and grassy places for me & my two dogs, I was sold and knew it was the perfect place, once again, to call home!Flash forward 1yr and 4 months later, and I can see I made the right decision!! The office staff are courteous, take pride in their work and provide excellent customer service to their residents. The Maintenance staff are responsive, considerate and I have never waited more than 24 hours to have the work completed. Fellow residents are kind, courteous and you can see how we all take pride in our community!!As long as Im living in an apartment, Shadow Ridge is where Ill be! And, theyre remodeling, how exciting!! it will be an even better place to live, if thats possible!!

Ive lived here not even a month, and can already say I really enjoy being here. I work nights, so of course I leave voice-mails with any questions I have and management always calls me back promptly when they return to office. During these confusing Covid times, the management still has made everything a breeze. The only issues Ive experienced as of yet was with a toilet which was IMMEDIATLY fixed, and I couldnt be more thankful. I havent really gotten out to meet anyone yet, but so far the neighbors and other people I have had short conversations with have been extremely nice and friendly. The grounds are kept clean and tidy. (Im still not convinced the carpet wasnt brand new when i moved in because of how clean it was, minus one very small place which I plan on hitting with a cleaner in a few days!) Compared to previous experiences in luxury apartments, this place is a 10/10.Shout out to Emily and (im gonna butcher this dont hate me lol) Joanna? For dealing with my scatter brain during the days and helping me with all of my questions and concerns.I highly recommend everyone at least give this place a look!

I have been living here for a year now, and I have no complaints. I love the secured entry to the buildings, and the apartment worker are always on top of any complaints or anything that needs fixed. Also they care so much about how the place looks, which is great to have, especially when you have visitors. Plenty of land to walk your pets, and non disruptive neighbors.

I have lived at Shadow Ridge Apartments for a year and a half and have found the office personnel to be professional and very friendly. Anytime I have needed to report a maintenance issue, they have been prompt about taking care of the problem. The clubhouse and grounds are always kept clean and well maintained. The pet-friendly environment is wonderful and they even have events centered around your pets! I would recommend these apartments to anyone interested in a quiet, safe area of Louisville for single or family living.

I have honestly struggled with how to properly write this review of Shadow Ridge apartment complex and all of the components that go along with being a resident here. I have lived here approximately a year and a half. During that time I have witnessed and periodically been involved in the workings of all things Shadow Ridge.Giving my honest unadulterated advice to anyone seeking to become an apartment dweller, I would advise them to jump at the chance. I have experienced nothing short of kindness, corporation, top shelf conflict resolution and first class professionalism from the property manager even down to the lawn care staff who are not employed fulltime by Shadow Ridge. I have only been in Louisville a short time and living here just adds to the kindness and beauty that I have experienced since I have been here. As a late 40s resident I have lived on numerous apartment properties in my time and can say in all honesty that non have come close to comparing the standard setting experience that I am enjoying. I also have co workers that live here who have expressed the same non desire to go anywhere else to apartment dwell. If you want to be a hermit you can be that here. If you want to be a social butterfly you can be that here too. It really has all things for all types of residences. This is my honest unsolicited review of Shadow Ridge Apartment property. I hope this helps someone who expects the best from a property and for the residences sake someone who will add to our experience here.Chris

Worst management ever. We payed ALOT to live there. Over $1000 a month. We received a phone call stereo typing my boyfriend and I because we have tattoos and are young that we had been smoking pot. They did multiple checks and never found anything, of course. We had to move because of management. Worst treatment and discrimination I’ve ever received.

I am getting ready to move out of Shadow Ridge Apartments after a 6 month stay and as far as apartments go, this one wasnt bad. As far as other comments about the excessive prices, their prices are comparable to other apartments in the area plus they offer short term leases which others dont. The facilities were always maintained neatly and I never had any noise issues. If I ever need to move into an apartment again, I would use Shadow Ridge.

I cannot say enough to express my delight to be able to move back to Louisville and find a place to live that is above my expectations for apartment living. The size of the apt I chose has a wonderful layout, lots of storage and shelving. The interior of the apartment complex is clean, vacuumed weekly and the grounds are litter free and well maintained. Any problem is quickly taken care of and can be arranged to be done at your convenience. After living in a house for years being relieved of so many household responsibilities by making a phone call to speak with a polite and friendly staff person (or going online) for maintenance is a blessing. I highly recommend living at Shadow Ridge Apts.

My wife and I moved into Shadow Ridge when we relocated from New England in March of 2017. Our experience has been fantastic. As I write this, I am aware of the broad spectrum of expectations of desires of any given tenant, and the overall difficulty of reviewing ones actual living experience, so Ill frame out a couple basic categories in order to hopefully be more helpful.1. Staff and management experience: Excellent. The staff has been available, helpful and a great balance of both friendly and professional. They are responsive and overall this contributes to another category Ill mention in a moment.2. Grounds/Facility/Location: Again, exemplary. First of all, the apartments and spaces are very comfortable with a good balance of open floor plans and feelings of privacy. Walls and ceilings are thick. It is very quiet (our neighbors have dogs, they bark when their door opens, when it closes we cannot hear them any longer). Shadow Ridge has built its structures so you do not share interior walls with neighbors (or at least this applies to our floor plan). HUGE PLUS. Grounds, are clean and well maintained and the property itself is spread out well. There is always parking. Facility is kept up well (public areas kept clean, updated etc), and amenities are very good (good gym, laundry, pool area is very nice and is open for long seasons). Location is right on the edge of town but close to highways so getting around is extremely easy.3. Community/Atmosphere: I think Shadow Ridge does a good job with initial screenings for its tenants. The community is friendly, mature (with a good mix of single adults to married families with children etc), and fairly diverse. Overall it is a quiet and comfortable place to live. The staff and management team (see category 1) have a consistent flow of events and opportunities for their tenants (holiday parties, breakfasts, pet events, plenty of others) and they are professional in the way they encourage participation and inclusion in the community at large. If you are looking at moving to Louisville (or for a new place within the city) look no further. I cannot recommend Shadow Ridge highly enough.

Lived there for 2 years and it was a nightmare. I work 3 jobs and could never get ahold of anyone during business hours. Would leave messages and would have to call corporate before ever hearing back from anyone. I went 2 years without the buzzer to my door being fixed after putting several work orders in. The point in the security is to have the intercom system so you don’t have to walk downstairs to see who might be trying to get in the door. I had to refuse to pay by water bill in order for it to be fixed. My fridge went out twice(which fell under Emergency Maintenance) when I called the first time the guy did come within an hour, but little to my knowledge, fixed it with cardboard pieces. Two weeks later it went out again around 9pm and when I called the emergency maintenance asked if it was really necessary for him to come out with as late as it was. I insisted because I had just gone to the grocery and didn’t want my food to go bad. This time a different person showed up and said the reason it wasn’t working is because someone put cardboard pieces in my fridge the last time causing it to go out again. The last straw was in November I got an EMAIL stating that they “lost” my lease and I would either have to pay month to month or give a 30 day notice. Didn’t have the desency to call me. My lease renewal, which I had a copy of was in February 2017 and they didn’t notice until November that they had no lease. After living at a previous apartment complex I know when you move out there is a walk through inspection that should take place with management. After being told my lease was “lost” I gave them a 30 day notice and asked when someone would be by to do a walk through with me. I was told that wasn’t necessary. All they needed was my forwarding address (which I gave 2 separate times), my keys and a check. They charged me $96 for water for the month of November. After looking at the ledger there was no proof. I had lived there for 2 years and water for one person was never more than $25. I paid the prorated rent, no one did a walk through, and returned the keys. A week later management emails me and said I failed to give a forwarding address. Seriously?! I gave it twice, and had email verification of it. Just received my security deposit check in the mail, and they took out the money for the water bill that they could never prove I owed. I paid way too much to deal with the things I had to deal with.

I moved out from Shadow Ridge 5 months ago. I provided my forwarding address and my phone number that was on file with them has not changed. To my surprise, I received a Collection Agency notice for some charge that Shadow Ridge never communicated to me. Not a good way to do business and certainly not a way to receive future referrals.

Lived here for 2-3 years and loved everything about it. I loved the leasing girls, the maintenance staff, and my floor plan. Excellent neighbors. No crime. However, I am glad I left. The leasing guy that works at Shadow Ridge, named Miguel, is awful. I have referred friends to go look at apartments for their new home, and they have chosen otherwise based on his presence alone.I had an old neighbor call me last week and tell me that I have received several packages to the apartment complex since I moved out. I MOVED OUT IN JUNE! No one had contacted me to tell me. When I called the apartment complex, Miguel was extremely rude and seemed bothered that he had to go and check to see HOW MANY packages I had there. After leaving me on hold for several minutes, he came back on the line and said that I had 5 packages there and I needed to make arrangements to pick them up. My question was, how come no one bothered to call me and tell me after the first package? Or second, third, etc? How would I have known that I had packages there in the first place? Miguel said that They dont monitor the incoming packages to the office.Umm, ok? Sooo who does?I told him I would have a coworker come pick them up. Miguel continued to be rude on the phone and even hung up on me!When my co worker arrived a few days later, Miguel was rude to him, and then called me. He was more rude on this conversation than the one before! He told me he needed signed or verbal consent to release the packages. These are the same packages that a week prior, he doesnt monitor and didnt even know he had.Long story short, Miguel is rude and unprofessional. He treats customers as he is doing us a favor when in reality, he is collecting a paycheck. I never had one issue before him. Not ONE. Send him out of there, and I may start referring people there again. Until then, not a chance.

A family member lives here. In my opinion the apartments are nice but excessively pricey, they have a waiting list so they can increase their price each time you renew your lease by as much $120 per month. The manager of the place is a nightmare. She allows dogs over 70 pounds and breeds that are not allowed on the property which is against the lease agreement. She also allows people to have propane grills which they use on their patios on all levels, again against the lease and city rules. As long as she likes you...you can get away with anything including hanging towels on your balcony which is just tacky, but if she doesnt she will ignore your needs. She has to be one of the worst managers in the city. Overall the apartments are not worth having to put up with her. Id hate to be one of her employees!
