I ordered 2 sets of pistons from the woman that answers the phones. They arrived about 10 days later and they were NOT the ones that I ordered. I called up to let them know that I didnt get what I ordered. They said to return them for a refund so I did. A little over a week went by and I called them back because they didnt call me. They had received the pistons and were waiting to hear back from their warehouse. Then she informed me that there would be a 15% restocking fee. I informed her that there better not be, They sent me the wrong pistons which wasnt my fault. I also informed her that I expected a refund on the shipping as well. She finally agreed to pay half of the shipping charge. I informed her that I already paid for half the shipping charge because I paid to ship the pistons back to them. She then agreed to pay all the shipping charges. Another week goes by and I still hadnt received a refund so I called back. She said that she didnt have my CC # to refund to so I gave it to her again. I waited 4 business days and called back because my account didnt show a refund from them. She said that they had a problem with their CC machine and couldnt do any refunds right now but would I accept a check in the mail. She said that she would put a check in the mail on Monday. I agreed and waited for a week and a half. Still havent received a check so I called back. She then said that she mailed it off this last Monday which would be a week after she said she would mail it off last time. I waited another week and a half and it still hasnt arrived. Now when I try to call back it cycles on their phone merry go round over and over again. One time the phone clicked like someone answered it and then hung up. Ive been very polite every time that I called them. Even when its really obvious that Im being lied to. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to realize that nor does it take one to realize that Im being given a total run around. I just want my 435.00 back which is what Im owed. Stay away from this company, they will only screw you over. Ive done business in the past with this company and the only time I wasnt given the run around was when I dealt with Rafael but he never answers the phone anymore.
Very clean. Great customer service. Efficient. Knows all engine information. Allakes and models.
My grandfather recently had his 89 Ford 150 4.9L engine removed, remanufactured and installed at Perfect Engine. It is an old school shop, where quality, honesty, and communication count. Probably not the most inexpensive shop in town, but quality for dollar I guarantee you will not be able to find any place better. It was a pleasure doing business with them and will do so in the future .....if needed.Thank you Rafael.
Kinda is great and very helpful! highly recommended them for all your rebuild needs
I had a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GTS with a V6 24 Valve Engine taken in to Perfect Engine in August of 2013 which is an interference engine where the pistons and valves share the same space. My pistons hit my valves and they were all bent at which the car had 145000 miles at the time the engine failed. The car was literally dead and did not start up at all. Rafael at Perfect Engine came through by ordering new pistons and valves and I ordered a Full Remanufactured Engine to renew the entire long block. Even the crankshaft was matched and balanced. A couple of weeks in the shop at Perfect Engine and my car was reborn again, not only that but there is actually better compression ( more horsepower) than stock. The only problem I encountered was that the spark plug gap was not checked but this was more my fault because I put them in with the wrong gap before I took it in to the shop. Although the cost of the repair was expensive, you should only do this if the car has sentimental value or you have lots of money to burn, this is one of the best places to take your car to get the engine running better than new if it has died. You also get a 1 year warranty on the engine which is better than you going to the junk yard and not knowing if the engine you get for cheap will fail on you or not, you get peace of mind knowing that your car will go for another 100,000 miles or more on a full remanufactured engine.
