Brought my 1986 Jeep CJ7 into Rich on June 1st, 2020 to have the engine rebuilt. Rich told me he would have it finished by the end of the month. Cost would be $3000 and required $1500 down to order parts and start the job. Had good overall reviews on Google and Yelp and decided to give him the job.Emailed him on June 23rd asking if the Jeep is finished.Received email saying the engine was done and just needs to be installed.Also gas tank was done and will be fully complete by next Friday the July 3rd.Emailed him on July 2nd asking what time to pick up car tomorrow.Received email: Good morning, we are looking at Thursday next week . I had 1 guy on vacation this week . But I did purchase a aftermarket header and exhaust muffler for the extra wait . Which is a total of 490 of free parts . I also ended up purchasing a new battery for it as well . I did this out of courtesy for the extra wait . And won’t charge you for these extra parts .Emailed Rich on July 9th asking if Jeep was done.Received email on July 13th: Hey Jeff, you can come this Friday to my shop in El Sereno it will be ready for pick up4255 Huntington Dr n la ca 90032Received Email on July 16th: we will have jeep there ready as well and will be ready for pick up this weekend. We will call you as soon as it’s done . ThanksSent email July 18th asking when will it be done.Received email on July 22nd: Hey Jeff, I wanted to apologize for not getting back to you or giving you a update . I’ve been having flu like symptoms last week but I’ve been cleared . Anyways the engine has been finished just have to install it . I also had to buy a bunch of other stuff . In all honesty I can get the truck ready by July 29 guaranteed . If you like to check the new engine out come to the el sereno shop on Monday July 27 before it’s done .I sent email telling I must have it finished and ready for pick up by July 31st. I can not wait any longer.Rich email back OK.Sept 4th, I scheduled a tow truck to pick up my Jeep at Alhambra shop. Arrived and shop was closed. Cost me $59 from tow company for wasted trip. Went to other shop and he removed the engine and started rebuilding it finally. Told me it would be done by Sept 8th, just needed to install the head.Went today Sept 9th to Alhambra shop and it was closed. No Jeep.I been more then patient but keep getting the run around.Do not use Rich at 4Dees Engine. Further actions will be taken against his shop.

I dont recommend them. I took my vehicle in on February to get the engine replaced by a used one. It took almost 2 months to get it back. It ran ok and I still had to replace some other parts to make it run. It was running fine up until October. I changed the spark plugs, cables, oil filter, oil pressure guage and the timing sensor twice. I was hoping it would clear the check engine light but something kept bringing it back on. then all of a sudden the engine started to misfire like it used to. White smoke was coming out of the exhaust again. I wasnt able to take it back since I just missed the 6 month warranty they gave me. I was very unhappy and will not go back.

Im very disappointed in the terrible business Richard provided. As a owner of this business you have a higher expectation to uphold great customer service and also being trust worthy with peoples cars your servicing on. To be a owner/manger, its very shocking that you would take a customers car that you are intrusted to take care of but instead take their car to do God knows what leaving garbage in their car with food and stuff in the backseat, you had left furr on the seats of the car which doesnt make sense to why that got in their and lastly you even got a ticket on that persons car while in your care to be fixed. That is highly unprofessional especially as a business man thats the owner and manager and you even refuse to pay the ticket you got on this person car and admitted to pay it and took responsibility. Your dodging this issue that you caused and you will be stopped and will be exposed for the unprofessionalism and misconduct you have done illegally. This business Is a joke.

4ds was easy and convenient place to drop off Uhaul truck and auto transport.

I took my vehicle in for repair and They just rebuilt my 2009 Ford Mustang engine, took them about a month or so but they got the job down right . I appreciate you guys doing the job right even though you guys took long . Thank you and I will recommend you to my people👍

Since the Owner(Richard) wants to dodge people and their calls hopefully this get your attention because you know what you did was wrong specially as a businessman and provided the worst service by what you did to your customers car. YOUR NOT UNTOUCHABLE remember that. Justice will be served. I advise you to pay what you owe and be a man about your business you looking REAL FRAUD out here

Richard runs a very professional auto shop and provides amazing customer service. I had to get my 2001 Toyota Celica engine replaced and he found a used one for me and installed it for the best price I could find. My car was in such bad shape it wasnt safe to drive to the shop. He offered to have his tow truck come out to Fontana to pick it up rather than me pay a different towing company, saving me over $100! He was always straightforward with me about the progress of the installation and was always easy to reach, which I really appreciated. They also changed my catalytic converter while it was there. I highly recommend this shop! I definitely found a mechanic I can trust.

Very unprofessional owner RICHARD.Who takes someones car and gets a ticket on it, and admits it, agrees to pay for it but dodges the customer continuously for a whole year now. Also has the nerve to ask that customer to take down their reviews on their business in order to pay them. Very unprofessional! People have rights to expose the FRAUD you are SIR. You should get the police called on you and business shut down.

Rich and the guys at 4Ds are incredible mechanics. Besides a fair price, they offer an astoundingly accurate estimate of how long a repair will take. Best of all, they make sure no matter what develops in the course of a repair, you end up with the best possible repair. Give them a call!

This body shop has held a vehicle for 5 months and refuses to give it back. They were forced to send it to a body shop after the car sustained damaged while parked in their lot. They collected insurance money from the auto accident but failed to fix the car. Every other day Rich, the owner, has a different excuse to explain away his inability to deliver the car. They park cars on the street and he has a total disregard for customer service or quality.

I had a great experience with the customer service that Rich provided. Staff was friendly and the prices were unbeatable. I will definitely recommend to people I know.

Do not TRUST them!!!Its TRUE they park your car in the red and get tickets on your car and dont say nothing.I myself and a friend have been having issues with them for a couple of months now and they still dont want to pay for the ticket that they got on my car for being parked over there. I had the worst business transaction ever! Do not believe a single word Rich says. Had an engine rebuilt here that took over 4 weeks instead of 5-7 days. Strung me along so as to not getting a rental and had parts missing that had nothing to do with the job! Check out their Better Business Bureau rating of F! Wish I never knew these people. Everything is my fault and theyll yell and try to intimidate you.Theyre not backing up any of the problems and are screening my calls. I had over 10 issues with the job.

This place is horrible. They never fixed my truck, in fact another part ended up broken. Do not come here!!! Take it anywhere else but here. They are very unfriendly. Not sure why people love it. I had to take my truck somewhere else.

They dont rebuild anything here only slap rings and bearings in and then will not stand behind warranty and after you threatened to file a claim or make a complaint with bar or better business Bureau then they fix it but they are hacks and they just dont care they broke a lot of things and then lie to you and tell you it was like that and there workmanship is something you would expect from rookies or junk yard mechanics my advise is dont go there with a BBB rating of F they will not have a business for very long especially with there horrible customer care once you have a problem they will try to duck your calls or lie and say Ill call you back and never do. You would be better buying a used motor because thats all they are going to do anyway good luck

These are the guys that keep me rollin! They have installed a trailer hitch on my Mazda CX-5 for less than anyone I looked at. And they got it done in a little over an hour. They also have done oil changes, tire changes, battery changes, you name for my family for many years. They are the best!!!!!!!

I am writing this post to expose a business that has completely taken advantage of my time and my energy. I am a single mama and have enough stress as it is raising a little man and working a highly emotional job treating cancer patients. 2 1/2 months ago I made a decision to buy a van to convert into a traveling tiny camper, I needed to save money and it seemed like the best way to do so. I was getting more and more clientele and everything seemed perfect with this idea. So I looked online for days and days 4 hours a day untilI found a Dodge Ram van with very low miles. It seemed perfect. When I returned home from Florida after losing a client I had become very close to, I bought the van. 20 minutes driving it down south fromLake Elsinore, the engine exploded. I immidiateley called the person who sold it to me, he had it towed to a mechanic who then towed it to Los Angeles to have the motor replaced. They said one week and it would be done 2 1/2 weeks later it still wasn’t done. Finally I was able to pick up my van after a month. I drove it backDown to San Diego where I was moving out of my home and started converting it into a tiny home. The engine light turned on after 2 hours of driving it, I took it back up to la after packing my belongings to get on the road toward our new life adventure, I came into the shop and they fixed a small issue and sent me on my way, I drove another 2 hours to ojai where I broke down with my baby in the middle of nowhere at night. Shops where closed . I rented a hotel and waited til the morning to figure out the problem. I towed it to a shop where they diagnosed a timing belt issue that would cost 1200$, the engine was under warranty so I decided to tow it back to the shop that replaced the motor. They wouldn’t be responsible for the tow even though it was under their warranty. So now it’s back at their shop, they told me 3 days to change the timing belt, so I arranged an air B and B and ubered to it. When I called 3 days later about my van, they said oh it’s going to be another 4 days. I said what? They said 100^ for sure 4 more days. This went on for 3 weeks. The last week they refused to answer my phone calls and completely blocked me. I had to have family members call to ask what was going on who they continued to lie to. I am without my van home and belongings because of these people and now out 2600, not to mention I have missed one job with a new client, which is 5000 for the 2 weeks I would be working with them, an sanojer full time position In Nevada city. These people have completely taken everything away from me in these 2 1/2 months of lies. I am on my Way there now to finally get my van, they said they would deliver it but then said they couldn’t so they said they would uber me. I was just picked up in an Uber pool with 2 more people to pick up dead in the middle of la traffic with my infant screaming non stop. Total of an hour and a half travel time.I have contacted the better business bureau as well as the bureau of automotive repair and I have contacted the local news channels and channel 2 will be following my story.my uncle has put in a call to the attorney general, I would be surprised if their in business next week. I am writing this to share how completely helpless and taken advantage of, on top of feeling robbed, and that I refuse to let these people get away with this toward me or toward anyone else. Here is their business . Please check the bureau of automotive repair data base before hiring a mechanic and 1000000% stay away from Ralph and his PATHOLOGICAL LIAR son RICHARD.My grandfather is in the hospital In oregon having broke his neck last night So i will be driving to Oregon this evening. If my van truly is finished and doesn’t break down on us again. Pitiful doing this to single mothers.Update. After 2 hours and 20 minutes in an Uber POOL during prime traffic with a crying infant, I got my van back. Oh and get this, My pillow cases on my 200$ down pillows where missing off of my pillows!LYING scum. Drove my car one day and My check engine light is on.

1) Richard Failed to fix my car &broke something els in the process and didnt say anything2)when I picked up my car someone left large bags of food in the backseat and fur from an animal they were using my car3)parked my car in the red &didnt say nothing the ticket is making me late for registration.

I took my 2005 cadillac deville in to have the transmissision rebuilt, they did a piss poor job. My thansmission is still leaking lots of oil. This shop should not be doing work that involved. I paid $1400 wich was a good deal, but I guess you get what you pay for. I will never let them work on my car again.
