The most unprofessional nail salon I have been to yet. I would give it negative stars. It was my first time there and the lady attending me could not shape my nails almond. She did not know how to apply uv gel correctly and was leaving gaps in the nails. When I questioned, she stopped working. Filed the gel off and stopped the service completely. My appointment was at 7pm and she asked me to pay when the service hadnt even started yet. They were in a hurry to close and my questioning the quality of service being provided, I was refused the service so they could close and go home on time. Whats worse is their conversations in their native tongue standing all around talking about me with hand gestures, so incredibly rude! SO glad I decided not to pay, though, and I would advise everyone else to not pay before your service has ended because people at this salon are extremely unprofessional and dont know what they are doing.

Amiee is the best! A bit pricey but always worth it as they are very thorough with each service and particular in cleanliness and sanitation. I have never been disappointed with my nails. Everyone is always nice and welcoming. I love this place.

I left the salon an hour ago. My nails look they were done by a five year old. They are crooked and the 7 layers of polish buckled. Total waste of money and time. I get my nails done at another salon and they always look professional, clean, and crisp. Time was not on my side so I decided to give this place a shot. My hands look juvenile- embarrassing. Two start for being clean.

Ever since I moved to Hoboken two years ago I’ve been coming here to get my nails done. It’s super clean, the staff is friendly, and I’ve never had a problem getting an appointment! The most recent time I went two of my nails chipped (I have very thin nails, easier to chip) and they touched them up for me without hesitation. Highly recommend!

First time here and great experience! Didnt exactly have a concrete idea of what I wanted but just a cute design for an upcoming event where Id be wearing purple. I got help choosing colors and the design. Got a hot stone massage on my legs and feet as part of my regular pedicure. Liked the massage chair. They even tested the design out on a co-worker before hand painting on me to make sure I liked! Above and beyond! Definitely will be coming back to try out new designs!

At first, I thought the pricing was a bit high (my first manicure in Hoboken) but its proven to be worth it. 8 days later and my basic manicure still hasnt chipped. Ill definitely be going back. In addition, the staff were very friendly and it was a clean, inviting environment. Also, its much bigger than it looks.TIP: Dont walk-in. Book an appointment ahead of time.

I don’t appreciate being charged 90 dollars for a simple gel layer of manicure that doesn’t compare to my acrylics. The people were nice but seemed to have a problem with my previous nails (acrylics) and took them entirely off. They cut my nails incredibly short in what I suspect was a plot to have them add tips which I explained I didn’t like. My nails were lovely and long now they’re short and stuffy looking. 90 dollars for a PLAIN basic and not cute manicure is not acceptable. They kept coming back and changing the price to the point were they were confusing me. Very disappointed, will not come back.

Went here for a gel pedicure and dip powder full set. The place is clean and the staff is professional. My issue was the quality of the service.For my gel pedicure the tech did my gel color first, I found that bizarre and the quality of the pedicure was subpar. No real foot scrub just a light pass of the pumice, stone massage and paraffin which all seemed more for the experience rather than actual benefit.Next was the dip powder full set...*sigh* my first tech just had no idea how to do a French dip powder and I another tech stepped in to help. Though she tried the quality again is mediocre. Maybe if you get basic services here you’ll be satisfied but I will never return.

I am very disappointed, every time I go there they do something wrong and yet I return only with the intention of giving them another chance, today was the last time I went to pay $ 60 gel manicure and regular pedicure, they did not even clean well, they did not remove cuticula on feet or hands, literally the only thing they did was apply polish nail (also doesnt looks professional), but at the end they demand that you should give a very good tip, if you dont they speak badly in front of you thinking that you do not understand them, they only work for the tip and do not worry about customer satisfaction. I do not recommend this place at all.

Came here for the first time after my two favorite places in Hoboken we’re booked solid and I have no regrets. The shape and color came out exactly as I wanted and the service was excellent. This will be my go-to spot in Hoboken from now on.

First time in almost 5 years I got a manicure and I am so happy I chose this salon to get a gel manicure. Roxana who did my nails was gentle but efficient and you can tell she was skilled at doing nails. He work was fast and perfect. And I got a nice shoulder massage once she was done. Will definitely be going back real soon.

Great quality work. It does tend to get busy so just keep that in mind when you plan to stop by. I have had a gel manicure and pedicure multiple times and the work has been done by multiple people and the quality of work is good. The price is fair for the work, when you tip, you need cash. You cannot tip on your card, they do have an ATM inside the salon.

I live in Jersey City Heights and am surrounded by nail salons on Central Ave. But I make the trip to this Hoboken nail salon because it is the best. No matter which technician I get, I am always happy with the results. I don’t know if it is the technique they use or the quality of the polish, but my manicure (regular not gel) lasts for over a week without chipping.

I got a green tea pedicure with callous removal, manicure and eyebrow wax. Very friendly and professional. Will definitely come back and recommend to my friends. The only con is its pricer than other nail salons. But, similar prices to other nail salons in the area.

Horrible service, communication is not clear and they force you to pay a tip despite this.I usually get a dip set for $45, and this includes change of my previous set for a new one. Pretty standard at every nail salon.I decided to try out a Nail Atelier, I called up the salon and asked them how much it would cost for a new dip set and he clearly mentioned $45. Once I got there, the lady who seemed to be taking my old set off seemed confused with my tips and kept speaking in Spanish to the other technicians.I helped her out by explaining that it was a tip and it had dip powder over it.She clearly did not understand this and was pretty clueless in removing it, she took 1 hour to take off my old set.When I said I want tips for my next set too, she said we’d charge extra for that and I was confused, then instead of communicating with me all the technicians kept chatting away about my nails.Then the person who spoke to me on the phone said that they would charge me $20 to take my old set off and $45 for a new set. This made me question them obviously and since nobody spoke to me clearly I agreed to this overpriced exchange.Which took another hour btw.Once that was done, when I went to pay I had made up my mind to tip only 10% (didn’t really want to do this either for the worst service but did it for the hard work of the technician) the older woman at counter who charged me scorned at me and said that’s not even 15%. So I said I’m already paying extra and despite this nonsense it’s the least I could do. To which she responded saying it’s American culture to tip 15.First off, I get it’s American culture and I respect it but if I DO NOT LIKE THE SERVICE AND TREATMENT what am I tipping for again?And secondly, a tip is out of generosity, don’t harass your customers and force them to pay.After payment, when I wished her good day, she ignored me and murmured something under her breath. This made me feel disrespected, for this I will not go back here.

Two years ago, at the bottom was my review... gave them 4 stars. Now, if possible a negative star. Based on my encounter today I concluded that a technician told the manager a person didn’t tip and the manager assumed it was me.She embarrassed and accused me of not tipping in front of a full salon. Why me? Was it because she thought the only black person didn’t tip? She realized the magnitude of her mistake and unfortunately it’s too late. Lost my business forever. Lost the business of my colleagues too.Tipping is a suggestion not a requirement. And for the record I gave my technician an 18% tip.Unfortunately the technicians who work hard are impacted by the actions of a rude manager.Maybe it was just a huge coincidence? Sadly, I would expect this behavior from another place, another state. But here, where I’ve been going since 2013, a place that is 1 path train stop from Manhattan... never.The way she made me feel, don’t think I’ll forget it anytime soon. I went in and had a manicure, which I was happy with. I then decided Id go the whole hog and have a gel pedicure too. Id already paid for the manicure so once Id had the pedicure (which was pretty good), I paid the $45. I didnt have cash and there was no option to leave a tip when paying by credit card (as there usually is), so I guessed that the service charge was included. I had also tried to ask about a tip when I paid for the manicure as I noticed then there was no tip option in the signing bill for the credit card. The lady didnt speak a lot of English though and didnt seem to understand me (a lot of them dont understand/speak English well - this isnt a problem for me at all), as such why I assumed service was included.So, I thanked them all after paying my final bill and went to leave. As I was walking for the door I glanced back to wave again and I noticed the few girls at the till talking loudly in Mandarin and glaring at me. Thinking Id taken the wrong receipt or had left something, I asked if everything was ok and the other woman (whom I hadnt seen before then) yelled No tip! at the top of her voice across a very busy salon. This was extremely rude and embarrassing. I explained I didnt have cash, that Id tried to ask about a tip in the credit card option before but wasnt understood and as such thought service was included. I asked if there was a way I could still include a tip in my credit card and the woman said yes, then asked me (again loudly) how much I was going to pay. At this point I was not at all happy with their attitude so I suggested 14% but I was told no, 20% was what was expected! She then rang my credit card through a second time, without even asking me!! I use a foreign bank so each time I charge my card theres an extra fee for me.I was so disgusted by their attitude and bad manners. There is a right way to address this. I absolutely wanted to leave a tip (as I do in every place I purchase a service), but if they dont make it easy for customers, or have a till staff that can speak English then the manager/English speaker should politely point out that service is not included and ask if the customer would like to include a tip.I will never be going here again. Avoid unless you enjoy catty women with bad service attitudes.

Terrible attitude, used to go there all the time, one Spanish lady cut my finger bleeding and instead of saying sorry, she gave me an attitude and tells me for free to leave. Unbelievable service. Paying 40 bucks to get this crap doesnt worth it.
