I exchanged my USD to Mexican Pesos I called a few places before coming and they offered the highest exchange rate. The employees were very friendly and made this transaction very easy. 17.90 was how much they paid my dollar and google said it was at 18.80 so I guess it was not too bad.

If you want competitive rates on multiple foreign currencies you have to come here. Both Michelle and Russell are always helpful and they also buy and sell coins if the currency is popular enough which isnt always the case at other places. If you ask for recommendations of places to travel and see they will give you their opinion because they themselves have been there. This place is a little hidden but if in downtown its worth going with them. I have been doing so for years.

I went here one time, had a great experience, nice staff, polite and very helpful.I came here a second time, due to the first experience, however, staff was short, deceiving and misrepresented currency rates.I would recommend using your ATM card at a partner bank when you travel out of the country instead. This way you will only be charged 1% fee from your bank at the rate of the day (thats how BOFA does it). This place will cost between 5% to 10% depending on how honest the staff is...the more you exchange the more you lose.Would never go back.

Its hard to find bad rates though buying or selling. The usual is .02-.03 cent difference in comparison to the current real rate set by economy. 15 mins parking free bring ticket in. Easy parking. No parking on the streets dont even look lol. Easy to find in big building. More than satisfied. Parking on level c. Place on level 1 i believe. It was a pleasure doing business and talking to them.

I called ahead to ask if the currency I held was being bought. The woman over the phone had such a pleasant demeanor. She said yes, and quoted me .000903, exactly what forex said. I hopped in my car and drove on down there. She even boasted of no exchange fee.Immediately, I was asked by the SAME woman what I had been quoted, I gave her the number. She said that was the purchase rate not the buy back rate.Dont say one thing then do another. Took my money elsewhere.

Quick and easy process. Exchanged some dollars for Thai Baht. Parking is the only issue. She didn’t issue a validation and we ended paying $7 for only 15 minutes.

The exchange rates are quite competitive. Call beforehand and theyll make sure theyll have the currency that you need. Located inside the World Trade Center, which is kind of ghetto. Their operating hours are kind of all over the place, but theyll come in even on a Saturday if you give them a heads up.

Better rates than any other place I called around at, and the service is very friendly. they validate parking downstairs for 12 minutes, or else you can try street parking (i parked on 2nd and Figueroa, about 5 min walk away)

The staff was friendly, but I went in a hurry so did not call them beforehand to get a exchange rate and received whatever they offered me because my flight schdule was coming fast. Then after my trip, I realized that they have offered ridiculous rate and ripped me off. I guess it was my stupidity costed me couple hundred bucks, but it seems they have no moral value whatsoever.

Googling for currency exchanges in downtown L.A. sent me to a closed Bureau de Change on Grand Avenue before the Memorial Day weekend. I asked a doorman at the nearby Hilton for any tips on where to go to exchange currency and he sent me to the World Trade Center on Figueroa and 4th.This small business is located in an evacuated indoor mall on the 1st floor (which is 3 stories above to ground floor). There was a small asian woman who was operating it the day I changed $100 into about 69 euros. She was very nice, very quick, and I got a receipt to document the rate she charged). Here are the facts in their favor: they were open, they did what they promised to do (change money), and they didnt charge me that much to do so.Not in their favor: their location! Ack. The building is a neat sideshow, if youre into the joke of modern architecture, but it hides its most vital functions underneath multiple layers of cement and winding corridors.

I was able to exchange money at a pretty good rate. About 105 yen per dollar. Note that it is closed on Sundays. (Almost all other stores are also closed)
