I made an appointment for touring the apartment and received the confirmation email and text msg. When I arrived, the leasing office is closed and no one was here. I asked the security guy and he said it’s so odd that no one works here today - normally they work on the weekends. So WHY from the beginning they confirmed my appointment???? The security guy was trying to help but he’s not informed or authorized for the tour. He might be the only nice factor of this apartment. Well I guess this is enough for me not to live here.

Theyre judgemental, liars, rip offs and I wonder how much money theyve lost for the company?? for over a week Chaz, the lady manager, and Shane, made me believe I was moving. told me to to pay deposits and also, take my apt off the market. then told several lies why I couldnt move in after all. I was completely honest with everyone and everything. at one point, I was telling the manager something about where I lived and I knew thet her whole opinion changed at that very moment and she wasnt gonna let me rent there because of her prejudice. the things they tried to tell me after that were as phoney as they were and they kept my money. I would have never gave them the money if I had suspected they would do what they did. be aware they will lie and cheat you to make a buck.

Poor management team. actually, they are the most unprofessional team I ever met.I am interested in Santa Fe loft, so I scheduled 4 tours. Overall, the building is lovely however, the management team who running this building certainly has no clue about customer service. In short, I will not consider Santa Fe lofts and apartments if this property is still using this management team. Here is my 4 tours, a very interesting story.First tour was good, Evan was helpful and tell us come back next Monday so we can see a unit which will be available on Sunday.(which is unit 7-N)Second tour was missed since they schedule me on Monday, which is Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. I think they will have someone working during holiday or they won’t schedule me on Monday however, it is not, I was blocked outside the building since the management team forgot Monday is holiday, so no one showed up. I emailed Evan, he replied me on Tuesday morning and apologized for his absent. I said that’s no big deal, let’s reschedule. This is the first time they waste my time.Third tour was bad. I called Evan early in the morning to confirm the appointment and confirm the availability of unit 7-N. He said that the unit is still available. After the tour, I was very happy and ask the leasing office to get all forms to apply this unit. Evan’s supervisor Ana tell me that the unit had been leased, they have already received application fee yesterday. I called earlier that day specifically mentioned I want to rent 7-N and if you know it has been leased, why still tell me to come and see it? This is the second time they waste my time.Fourth tour, which is earlier today. I lost my temper this time since they wasted my time once again. 3 days ago, we made an appointment to see unit 5-N. Our appointment is 10:30 today. I actually did not even get into the unit since they told me in front of the leasing office that unit 5-N is not available today and I can’t look at the unit—not even a sneak peak. Excuse me? My appointment is 10:30 am today to see unit 5-N on your system. If you guys know 5-N will not be available today, why don’t you call me in advance to notice me? You have my phone number and email address when I set up the appointment. If I can give 0 star, I will. Their building is good, but this team...is highly not recommend.

Evan and Ana are the best! They always help me with anything I need I need for my business and in a very timely manner. They recently hired a security team which is great!

Is this an apartment building or a nightclub? Crazy loud parties that can be heard inside of the next building.

Sometimes I wonder whether these reviews are even of the same building. Im a current resident at Santa Fe Lofts and I have nothing but good praise.Ive never had an issue that Management wasnt able to rectify quickly. Im only deducting a star because I think the courtesy of the tenants could be better (no fault of the building, but just a general observation). Smoking in the halls has been a problem, but Management is nicely reminding tenants that smoking is prohibited.Love the fast elevators and the convenient Rapid bus stop right outside on 6th Street.South of Los Angeles St. is a bit of a flea market and homeless do tend to sleep street side, but honestly they have never bothered me and Ive never felt unsafe in anyway.Nickel Diner on Main opened up and its been one of my favorite places so far. Coles Diner will soon be opening up as well, and its just adjacent to Santa Fe Lofts.Ive toured Pacific Electric Lofts numerous times and I can honestly say Santa Fe Lofts across from it is far better maintained. If given a choice between the two, Santa Fe Lofts would be my first choice without question.

Amazing spot on top of one of LA’s historic buildings. Roof is completely covered in very cool street art.

Beautiful vintage building with very spacious and open floor lofts. If you appreciate historic buildings, Santa Fe Lofts is one of LAs best!

Have lived here 9 months now.Pros: Good sized apartments for the price. Good starter location for transplants who just arrived to LA. Close proximity to many shops, restaurants, nightlife, train and bus stops, and many other activities. More lenient on pet sizes and breeds.Cons: no parking available on site, close proximity to the skid row district (high homeless population directly across the street), 2 wash/dryer on each floor, occasional bar music heard on lower floors.Overall, the building is quiet and somewhat comfortable as long as youre okay with bumping into the homeless population once you walk out the door, occasionally having to wait to do laundry, and having to walk up the street to your car which is parked in one of the nearby garages. Not bad for a starter place in downtown....

Polaris Management is a greedy unprofessional company that only cares about making as much money as possible. Ive been in this building a number of years and over the years I can say the building has become less secure with more and more addicts both using drugs and OFTEN passed out on the building at all times of day. Trash is pervasive throughout the building with people consistently leaving trash in the elevators, hallways and lobby and on Sundays and evenings there are no cleaning staff on site to assure the building is clean -- so a mess can go hours or days before being addressed. Further, the laundry rooms are often a wreck with the machines flooding and not working properly. Lastly, under Polaris there has been unconscionable rent increases. My rent was raised over 50% this year alone yet there have been no updates to my unit in over seven years, not even a fresh paint job. Unbelievable.

Do NOT live here. Look elsewhere. The management of the is building only wants to fill spaces. Does NOTHING for you once you are in. They will lie to you to your face to do anything to get you to move in. Once in they will jack up your rent as fast as possible. We went to court against these evil fu*ks. Do NOT LIVE HERE.
