I have lived at Avalon Wilshire now for about 7 months and I love it here! It’s a very safe building and pretty quiet. Anytime that I’ve needed assistance, the maintenance staff have been very tentative and friendly! William is the best and my dog Charlie loves seeing him and Carlos around the property. The property is also very dog friendly and there’s a great park out back that a lot of the dogs in the neighborhood hang out at. It’s a great place to be!

I have very loud upstairs neighbors who literally stomp when walking and make unacceptable noises during quiet hours. Complained to the building manager a few times but it is not getting much better. Still unacceptable. We just started the lease and cannot imagine tolerating the noises for a whole year. It should not be people who follow the community rules suffer from people who are not respectful at all. I am a loyal customer of Avalon and have lived in different Avalon communities across states. This is an expensive apartment. With the price, you have many choices in the city, honestly. If this situation continues, I will think about breaking the lease.The building itself is nice though.

Just moved in recently and we love our apartment. We do have some noisy upstairs neighbors and the guest parking is limited but other than that it is a great place to live. We especially appreciate the maintenance team here, Carlos, specifically, has gone above and beyond to help with all my service requests, he is the best!

Carlos came in and swapped my washer that wasn’t working single handedly. Thing works great! A great joyful man too. Greatly appreciate him.

I love this place! I just moved in and everyone has been so friendly. Emerald and Nicole have really made me feel at home. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice place to live, great amenities, and a wonderful and helpful staff.

It’s been such a pleasure living at Avalon Wilshire and I transferred units for a better view. The Wilshire Blvd is not as noisy i as thought since there’s a lot of construction. I’m so thankful for the nicest people at the leasing office.Nicolle Beiza is so helpful and willing to go above and beyond with anything you need.Carlos is so fast and efficient for any maintenance requests even during emergency hours. William is always happy to assist with any maintenance requests even when the leasing office is closed.Thank you Avalon Wilshire for having the nicest staff because it makes a huge difference for residents to have efficient maintenance staff.The building is very clean, safe and has laundry inside the unit. The community park behind the building is awesome.

I have lived here for 3 1/2 years and I love it here. The staff is great! They have been so helpful through out my time here. The two constant people on staff are Willam and Carlos who are the best Maintenance team! They are always so helpful and get things taken care of ASAP even after hours with an emergency.I recently had a smoke alarm issue that William so kindly came after hours to help me! He fixed the problem right away.I also had a leaky kitchen faucet that Carlos came and fixed as the water was flying everywhere!Everyone in the office is fantastic. The location is so convenient and has a very walkable neighborhood.Definitely glad I live here!

Ive lived here for several years and have no complaints. I especially love how helpful Nicolle Beiza, the Community Supervisor, has been for me these past couple of months. Its a big relief to know theres someone whos always available to help with whatever I need. It makes a huge difference! Im grateful I can depend on her to go above and beyond any time I reach out to her. She actually cares, and it makes living here really comfortable.

Super frustrated with this living experience. I moved sight unseen during Covid. While Im grateful for the help during the move, the actual living experience was awful. I also say this as someone who has had pretty good interactions with Avalon in general, its just this building. Its a fine building, but for the price, absolutely not worth it for the following reasons.Actual apartments: Great location! Nice, but my apartment was full carpet, which is annoying, especially as they do have non-carpeted units. I was promised a particular apartment color scheme and when I showed up, that was not what I recieved. Frustrating, but understandable, but this should have been my first red flag.Noise: I had incredibly loud neighbors that I continually complained about to no avail. Im not sure if its thin walls, but one neighbor had incredibly loud children starting very early in the morning and that noise was very present in my apartment. I had an upstairs neighbor that also had an incredibly loud noise to the point that it disrupted Zoom meetings regularly. The apartments that face the courtyard also have to deal with a very high amount of residual noise; people who party on their balconies are heard by every apartment. All of this plus the street construction made work from home in a Covid environment unlivable.Packages: while they have an Amazon locker, tons of packages were stolen after being left in the hallway. As a response, the complex began locking packages in their office and not telling clients (or at least, not telling me). Occasionally, the office would tell me a package arrived days after it had, or would wait days to put it in the Amazon lockers (which is when you would be notified of a package). This, plus the office having incredibly limited hours in Covid, led to me asking to have multiple packages re-sent by the senders. This also led to me having the expensive, special-order dog food that I ordered rot in the package.Staff: Working with their staff was a nightmare. I broke my lease after a discussion with their staff regarding the packages where they refused to take any accountability despite it being a continued issue. While I understand that customer service is a hard job, the level of condescension, failure to fix problems, and voice raising from their staff was pretty unacceptable.Move Out: A fine experience, though I didnt interact with anyone. Im frustrated that I wrote a review to them upon their request and asked them to follow up (I have never heard about my security deposit or anything else from them) as I did not want to have to go a public route. I have not heard from them despite moving out more than 2 months ago.Maintenance: I loved the individuals who I met, but had major problems with my ceiling leaking onto my carpet, stains on the carpet when I moved in, and the laundry machine not working.Overall, it probably would have be fine if I did not have to work from home and order everything and be in the apartment 24/7, but the staff / management response to problems and noise level was unfeasible.

I’ve lived here at Avalon for 3 years now and it’s the best place I’ve ever lived. The staff is great. The maintenance team is outstanding. Carlos and William both are great people and amazing at their jobs. Carlos is always willing to go out of his way to help out with anything he can. Great quiet community and great staff make this a perfect apartment.

This is the best apartment building I’ve ever lived in, and I’ve lived in a ton! Even though a lot of facilities have been closed during COVID, they’ve been trying to do cute things for us. Like they scheduled food trucks to come to our building every other week, they do games on the Facebook page, they gifted us candy at our doors just because, they opened up a mini library for everyone. They are absolutely ADORABLE. I would recommend this building to everyone!

Ive lived in LA for about 16 years now. I have lived in many different apartments in the past and I think Avalon is probably one of the best communities that I have ever lived in.1. Friendly staff members who would go above and beyond to serve you. From maintenance team to cleaning crew, they made me feel like home. I want to especially shot out to the community supervisor Nicolle Beiza. She has been helping me deal with a family emergency for the past few weeks and I cant thank her enough for all the accommodations and services that she is willing to do for us residents.2. Fast maintenance services from repairing a water heater to treat bugs issues. They also have 24 hours hot lines to use to report emergencies and suspicious activities.3. Friendly neighbors and ultra clean buildings - most of us are all working professionalsIf you are looking for a place to live in mid-city LA, Avalon is the place to consider!

The staff here is amazing. Carlos is absolutely the best and he is willing to help with anything and go above and beyond to make you happy. He is a great guy and is great to talk to. If anything breaks or needs fixing he will be there quickly to resolve whatever issue you have. Can’t say enough kind words about him. He really is awesome.Jeri at the front desk is another awesome person here. She works at the front and she is also willing to do as much as possible to get things done for you. If you have anything going on or any issues you can hit her up and she’ll help figure something out. Hello, my water heater was going out at Avalon Wilshire over the past month. Carlos and Willliam did a great job identifying the issue before my hot water in the shower went completely out. They replaced the water heater in a couple hours. It is always a pleasure to work with them. In fact, the office staff is a complete pleasure here. I would recommend checking the place out if youre looking to move to mid-city LA.

I lived there for over a year and it was always clean and everything was well attended to. Management responded to issues quickly and cheerfully. But the real exception was Stephanie. After I moved out (and away from Southern California) I accidentally sent some packages to my old address. She not only helped me locate them she allowed me to email her new printing labels and went out of her way to take them to ups herself. I really appreciated the extra steps she was willing to take to provide exceptional service to an ex-tenant. Thank you again, Stephanie. 5 stars and would absolutely live there again if I ever move back to LA.

Jeri and Stephanie in the leasing office are truly amazing! Avalon Wilshire is the best apartment complex Ive lived in since moving to LA over 8 years ago. The community is nice, quiet, clean, and they have been doing some renovations to the communal areas to make them more updated. Carlos is also incredibly on top of it and is always prompt and very kind.Moving in was exceptionally easy and efficient, and they were well prepared for our movers to park their truck right in front of the elevator.Between Jeri, Carlos, and Stephanie, you can tell that they all really care about keeping the community to high standards, which does not go unnoticed. Periodically they do events/gatherings to get all the residents together, and there is often a drawing for gift cards at said events.I would highly recommend living at Avalon Wilshire to anyone looking!

Avalon Wilshire has been a great home for me the past couple months. Jeri was awesome in getting me setup prior to my move-in. There were some minor fixes that needed to be done after move-in, but the maintenance staff here is fast and amazing. I definitely enjoy living here and the area is awesome.

Carlos really knows what hes doing and I appreciate his knowledge and professionalism when it comes to maintenance repairs.

While touring Avalon Wilshire Habeeba was knowledgeable and courteous. She took her time explaining the details that made Avalon Wilshire an awesome community to be a part of and she also made sure to highlight the amazing features of the Miracle Mile neighborhood! Definitely my top choice when I relocate permanently this fall!

The Wilshire Avalon community made my top three lists of places to live in LA. Not only is the community super cute, clean, and conveniently located, the leasing staff are super helpful, professional, and make the application process super easy. And Habeeba was an amazing host during my visit and tour and I would definitely recommend this community to anyone looking for a place in LA, especially if you want to be in a prime location with great amenities and a helpful staff!

The maintenance tech, Carlos, is an absolute GEM! Never have I had a problem that he can’t fix, and he always goes above and beyond to make sure the service is fast, clean, and 100% perfect. Avalon wilshire is soooo lucky to have him on their maintenance team, and the building would vastly suffer without his incredible expertise! Thank you Carlos, you always make my day!!

The staff here is great and friendly. Ive never had a problem that they didnt address immediately. Washers/Dryers in unit are great. There is a cute little park in the back too and the neighborhood behind the building is nice and quiet. Also, there are three Starbucks within a 7 minute walk, and some treasures like Labrea Bakery and Milk Jar Cookies. Rent is reasonable FOR THIS AREA, def not the cheapest place you can find in Los Angeles though. My quality of life has definitely increased since living here.

The staff at Avalon Wilshire is by far the best staff of any complex Ive lived at before. To start, Jeri and Stephanie are always helpful, accommodating, and willing to resolve any issue that arises. They not only make it a great place to live but also think of ways to better the community by organizing resident events and brainstorming ideas to make the place you call home, even better than it is. Theyre extremely friendly and will drop whatever theyre doing at the moment to assist with anything needed. Thank you Jeri and Steph for all that you do!A review for this complex wouldnt be complete without mentioning Carlos, the maintenance tech. He goes ABOVE and BEYOND every chance he gets! There is no way to replace his work ethic, friendliness, and hard-working attitude. Hes not only helpful, in that he knows how to fix EVERYTHING, but he is also one of the most genuine and kind people youll meet. Just to give an example, I had an issue with water in my drain draining slowly. He not only fixed the problem but also noticed a spot in my carpet that he was able to spray a solution on to get the spot out. This isnt a one time thing. He is willing to do anything possible to help you. At all times. Whether he is busy or in the middle of something doesnt stop him. Hes an awesome employee and an even better person.

We have only lived in our Avalon Wilshire apartment for about 7 weeks now. I want to thank the staff here, especially the maintenance staff, for being so helpful and prompt at responding to our requests. Both Carlos and William have been wonderful! We have had several minor issues but they have come quickly and fixed things with a friendly smile.I am happy that the complex seems to be maintained well and common areas are kept clean. The entire building is undergoing a new exterior paint job now and it is looking very good!

Absolutely incredible experience working with the team at Avalon Wilshire to figure out a unit that worked for me and my timeframe, and this team is so proactive and willing to help that they made moving easy-- which prior to this experience I could never truly say. Habeeba was so smart, caring and understanding when absorbing my thoughts on what I wanted in an apartment, and she found an incredible unit for me, which I have enjoyed so much. The team here really works to make you feel at home!I additionally have been very impressed by the service department of this apartment complex, and am very thankful to have Carlos and his team at this location to help with any of my service concerns! This is an all-star team that Im glad to know is around whenever I need it.

We had an amazing tour with Habeeba she was so informative and knowledgeable about the property and amenities available. We are very interested in this property due to location and aesthetics. Great place to live. Would give it a 5 star but the prices are a bit much. Ive been here going on 2yrs but I will probably have to move due to pricing. I will miss everyone here. I Hate to go.However if you can afford it you wont regret it.

The community is old and is not as new as other Avalons around the area. And the main reason why I hate living here is the office staff! The manger is super rude, not helpful at all. One time my washing machine made super loud noises, so I raise a service request through the website, and the technician said I cant change it without the manger permission. So I went to talk to the manger down in the office and literally he said I dont care, all washing machine makes noise, thats normal, its not my problem!!!! How rude is that!! I just left to my apartment unhappy and unsatisfied and also mad of what happened, and he didnt even said anything about it!Thats just one example of a million different stories happening almost every week!I like the area, its next to everything and its super convenient. But with this kind of life dealing with this kind of management, it makes it very difficult to live!

Recently moved into the Avalon Wilshire community and loving it! Tony and Jerilyn from the leasing office are great and very helpful all along the way, from the initial walk-through to move-in date and beyond. I had some minor work that needed to be done to the unit and they promptly communicated that to maintenance. Carlos showed up right away and took care of everything. A true maintenance rockstar! Very efficient and polite. Thanks guys..amazing team!

What we liked in this community it is that was clean and we had prompt service when requested.We liked very much the efficiency of the maintenance; special kudos for Carlos, who is committed to do it right when called to repair something. There is no security on site.The new management has been committed to please the residents and keep order in the community. However, the space between windows for those who live in the patio, is undesirable. You can hear just about anything coming from your neighbor, and that can be challenging when new young people move in and decide to party. We were quite happy to live there, but the increase in the rentals were absurd. We had to move out after learning that the rental of 2 BR was increased to 3,900/ per month, on a 1 year contract; and the value was not worth it. We decided that buying a condo is more feasible, so we moved out.

Living at Avalon Wilshire is great!! I really like the apartment and facilities/amenities. While the apartment has all modern appliances and fitting, the common amenities are very well taken care of. The management team of Delane, Tamela and Sheritha is great and respond to your requests very promptly. The maintenance staff is wonderful too. The apartment is conveniently located, close to grocery stores, cafes, coffee houses and restaurants. I would highly recommend this community to most people.

Ive been a resident in three different apartments here over the past two and a half years. Staff has always been really friendly and helpful - dropping mail off at my apartment if I need it, quick to handle maintenance/parking/etc. requests (thanks Carlos and William!), and just all around pleasant people to talk to (Sheritha, Delane, Mike, Jason, Tamela!). Construction in the area (cant be helped) and elevators occasionally take awhile are super minor drawbacks. Area is great, park in the back is a nice little bit of greenery in a neighborhood thats got restaurants, grocery stores, etc. all nearby.

The building is in a very good area close to a lot of facilities .. the layout of the apartment is really nice .. the staff at the office is very friendly and respond to your request right away(Sheritha, Delane, Tamela, and even the maintenance team)

All the construction in the area keeps me from giving it a 5. Other than that, the facility, people and service are great.

Mr. James Allen came to the apartemnt for a maintenance issue. As usual he was great.

Sometimes crazy people make a lot of noise til midnight at the Jacuzzi area. And the manager dont control it.

We have asked over and over for a bike rack to be installed. Requests were ignored.

The worst housing I have ever had in my life has two components.The first week I lived with my neighbor who was under attack at four oclock in the morning with video evidence, and unfortunately, there was no cooperation from them and they took the measure for me if I need to know because he apologized !!Of course, before that, they enter the apartment under the pretext that there is a search, complaining that there are people living in the apartment other than me !!Torture more racists and torture lips them!Very old building and horrible management! Also there is bugs everywhere!Also no pool only jacuzzi and very small! The gym Machines are very old as well !! Its not worth it! I used to pay $ 2700 for 1 bed! Not recommended and not worth it !!!
