We took our flight from Honolulu to Edmonton via Vancouver. The flight was convenient, smooth on take off & landing. The only downfall, in spite of not being cheap, these Airlines in this part of the World do not provide any meal (even though the journey between Honolulu to Vancouver is more than 5 hours). In Asia, even on 3-30 hrs flight, you are provided with meals. Considering that, definitely it is expensive & less worth.

My review is not for LAX. Great for my flights from San Diego to Calgary. Direct option at a fair price. Staff is helpful and fees are low. I even made a mistake on a booking recently. I called and explained my situation, and the rep was friendly and gave me a full refund.

They told us that our carry on which we just flew with from another destination with another airline was too tall. Charged us $30 each. Staff were chippy too.They are not that cheap that they can screw us over. Never again !!

I just wanted to talk about an unpleasant experience I had at the LAX airport with WestJet in which while boarding the plane my companion and I did not hear the staff call our zone (zone 2) number, until they announced that it was “last call” for our zone. After rushing to the front of the line to board the plane the front of house staff said we had to wait behind all of the zone 3 passengers. It was quite frustrating considering how we had to rush all the way to the front as they did say last call only to be denied entry.... it’s quite unprofessional for them to say last call and not even let us board the plane during our designated zone time. If they didn’t want this to happen, they should’ve announced that it was time for Zone 1 passengers to board more than just the one time.

Ground personnel could use a lesson in Courtesy 101. Staff at Terminal 2 gate called passengers to start boarding. I walked up to the WestJet attendant and she blasted me for not finding myself in a line which didnt yet exist - and the line was NOT next to her. I was really taken aback... especially when she broadcast it over the speakers! Are these people outsourced?

There are a lot of fine, economical airlines around the world however Westjet is the worst airline ever! I would rather choose Turkish Air than Westjet even I accurately know that my wallet must be stolen in the airplane.

If I could give this airline no stars I would. We traveled from Laguardia NY to Toronto last week with Westjet. They canceled the flight in the last minute without even notifying it on the speaker at the airport, only upon seeing a long line I asked one of the people and they said the flight was canceled. It took an hour to get to the front of the line in which we were then told they have no seats on the next flight and only got us on a flight 8 hours later!!! They were rude and just so unhelpful as well. Upon calling Westjet customer call center at the airport, I was confronted with a guy that had no patience for me and hung up the phone on me. They then proceeded to tell us that the flight we got scheduled to might be canceled as well so we sat at the airport with our 3 kids for hours in the hopes that they dont cancel the next flight. They mixed up our bag and they were just a shocking airline!! Will definitely not be flying with them again. Spend more money and fly with a more reputable and reliable airline. Upon contacting them about my disappointment and requesting compensation for our shocking treatment they basically said tough luck and they would do nothing. Never Ever Again!!

The airline listed our delay incorrectly as due to weather. Now Im stuck in the wrong city with no compensation. Jumping through hoops to submit a dispute to the same company that lied initially. Bad company and customer service.

HORRIBLE !!!!! Flight cancelled (would have been 1 stopover) and rescheduled next day with 2 stopovers but first two flights delayed so we missed our connection in Calgary and were rerouted through Van so 3 stopovers. Plane had power issues, westjet staff were NOT helpful at all !!! So took 4 flights to get from Kelowna to LA. They lost both our luggage, one came the next day on one plane which we picked up as otherwise we’d have to wait til the 2nd plane arrived with our other luggage. 2nd piece was delivered at midnight two days into our trip !! Worst travel experience ever.
