Great service from the flight crew! Almost 99% of the time on time or early with the very rare inevitable delays. I fly frequently within California: SJC, SFO, LAX, SAN and there’s been no complaints from me at all the past 3 years that I’ve been sticking with Alaska Air. I’ve enjoyed their Mileage program as an MVP status where I get upgrades to First Class majority of my flights (100% of the time on off-peak flights). First Class is great even in short 1 hour flights: complimentary alcohol, priority boarding, and nice big seats. Love the whole brand and would like to see expansion to more routes!
I flew from CA to HI, I felt the flight very long, almost 6 hours.I was able to sit next to my daughter even though the tickets were not next to each other.Very easy to check in, the attendants were friendly and respectful.Good snacks and drinks.I did contacted customer service once to inquire about my luggage, they explained everything I needed to know.I was happy with their service and would travel with them again.Thank you!
Very bad, I bought two together next to my wife, paid and booked these seats even when buying tickets online. But we were seated separately. It was possible to buy these tickets without a reservation from any provider, about -30% cheaper, but I bought these tickets directly from Alaska. And got such a cool service. I dont advise you to buy tickets from Alaska. They do what they want to do. Nothing depends on you.
Flew 1st class from LAX to IAD and returned a week later. Great experience both ways. Flight attendants are the best on Alaska airlines very attentive even und covid conditions. Food service and drinks were very good.. Have another trip booked this next February and looking forward to the great experience again..
My first impression was scary when I knew that I have to travel in a very small airplane!😐. But happened all the contrary 😊! Went a great experience to do my trip in this kind of airplane, the pilots were so experts despite they young age!👩🚀👨🚀! I am now excited to know that I will to travel back again very soon 👧👨! Great experience!
Excellent service. Very helpful (Im on crutches, they put me in a wheelchair took me where I had to go)
The flight itself was very good with very punctual and professional employees on board. They took good care of us.Reason for three stars? We tried to change our flight to a different time and it was a “no you can’t do that under any circumstances. I was a little taken aback but must have missed that part when buying the flights??
Uneventful flight. For me thats a great thing. on time most important!!!
Good time to fly back. The plane was not cleaned up after it had arrived from prior destination. The three front table tray sections was absolutely filthy. The flight attendant gave lots of wipes so we needed to wipe.it down.Other than that it was a smooth and short 5 hour flight.
For a smaller airline, I was pleasantly surprised at the level of service and help available. Not only at the gate, buggy in the plane as well. Is really recommend Alaska Airlines to anyone flying on the West Coast.
Staff at counter very very rude!!! Also if we have to wear face mask at L.A.X. so must employees of Alaska airlines and stormed off and would not let me sew his employee ID.. will handle with corporate.. these guys arent worth flying.. there just not JetBlue.. sad very sad...blow up the pic to see no mask on and they were telling all patrons that they had to have there mask on..
My flight from LAX to DAL was canceled as I was walking into the airport to get on the flight. While they booked me on the next flight out, it was a 8 hour wait in the airport. It would have been great if they would have offered a free coffee or even a discount for the lounge. Customer service very lacking.
Check in was easy. Fare was responsible. Had to pay for luggage, not too thrilled, but is what it is. Flight crew was very pleasant both going and coming. Snack mix was kinda yucky, but that is the least of it. All in all, very good.
Was just being a personal taxi there. Were good when I flew them previously.
This was my first experience with Alaska Airlines and it was the worst air travel experience I can remember. I understand that airplanes break and flights change but the entire return trip was abysmal. My 2.5hr direct flight on 5/31 was canceled and automatically rescheduled for 6/1. This new itinerary was nearly 7 hours of travel time arriving 19 hours after my original flight. This caused a day of lost work and all the expenses associated with an extra day of travel. Planes have mechanical issues (assumption- they never actually said why the flight was canceled). I get that and understand but this was just the beginning.I talked on the phone with a representative who was unable to make a hotel reservation so I had to physically go to the airport to work out a hotel voucher. Voucher made and reservation accepted. However when I got to the hotel they did not have the reservation on file. After holding up the line for far too long I ended up booking with my own credit card. Turns out the credit card Alaska was trying to use was declined when they tried to reserve the room and they were still unable to get this taken care of when I checked out the next day.Next stop check in. I last flew two weeks ago on Southwest and had zero problems. But for some reason Alaska says my name is close to someone on the no fly list and the TSA flagged my boarding pass. The Alaska Air ticketing agents couldnt log in to the system to clear it up. After they made a 20 minute phone call I was on my way again. Finally, on my last leg from Seattle to LA I found myself in the center seat in the first row behind first class. I checked my carry-on size luggage so that I could put my backpack camera bag above and have some legroom while I was in the air. I was surprised when I heard the gentleman in the aisle seat ask the flight attendant to be careful and I then noticed her trying to jam a roller bag on top of our bags. I chimed in that I would also appreciate her being careful because there is a camera bag up there. She gave me a rude comment about putting fragile objects in the overhead bins. I told her that it isnt fragile but you cant smash it repeatedly at which time she told me that she wasnt going to argue with me. Her rude statements and dismissive attitude were unprofessional and completely unnecessary.I fly quite a bit, before the pandemic I regularly flew 3-4 round trips a month. About 80% of those were on Southwest and I never had anything close to any of these problems.I had heard good things about Alaska Airlines and looked forward to trying them out. They have offered me a $100 discount on my next flight but how could I expect a reasonably decent experience? They got me where I was going and back but after this experience I wont be using them again.
Greatest airline ever! Wonderful service! Flight attendants are most gracious and very friendly! Will use them again and again! Thanks for the great flights!
I really enjoy the service and price point of Alaska airlines
Accommodating phone service. Yes long wait time but they will call you back. Seating fine but all flights crowded. Would like to see spacing return. Flight staff very nice. Will continue to use this airline as much as possible.
It wasnt bad as the other terminals it was mellow no problems.
Great airline with best mileage program!!! Keep up the great work!
They answered my email and made an offer. It was more than I expected.
Alaska Airlines is reasonably priced, clean, and friendly staff. My husband and I always use this airline to travel to San Jose from LAX which is a quick and pleasant short flight. Recommended!!
Multiple problems, booked flight through the son in law who had miles on their Alaska visa card. Due to the website difficulty we ended up paying $30 each for our luggage when departing. In flight food was paid for but not provided. Our reservations were booked 2 months in advance the day prior to our return we were not notified of changes. When speaking with customer service the changes were blamed on an algorithm. Originally 4 of us plus baby were booked together same flight. Had we not checked ourselves we would have had serious issues. We had the same flight to Seattle but separate flights departing. One to LAX and the other to John Wayne Santa Ana. Making pick up much more difficult. On top of that my wifes luggage didnt show. It is supposed to be delivered today (the day after) lets hope that happens. Not the best customer experience or service.
P Alaska lounge is a perfect way to start off your trip with such friendly hosts and hostesses that make you smile. They have all the conveniences available to make your stay a very comfortable and relaxed one until your flight takes off to your final destination! I love Alaska airlines! Thank you to everybody who has been friendly and helpful 🌻🌻
Excellent airlines. Staff is good and prices are even better. Great experience overall.
Great airline. It does have an aging fleet and flights get canceled. They can usually put you on a different flight but not quickly and not the same airport.
My wife and I often to Alaska Airlines to travel to Seattle,WA and Mexico etc. Sometimes Alaska Airlines does have good deal on destination we like to go to.
The flight was nice and staff was very friendly. We called customer service and they were amazing.
Great airline. Smooth boarding, clean inside, courteous. Thanks Alaska
Never got email to check in. Made a gate change and was never notified till I checked the board. Always making changes to my flights and not for the better.
First time. Nice planes
This isnt a large lounge and its far from the nicest lounge Alaska has to offer. It can easily overcrowd in the rush hours and can be cumbersome to navigate around groups of people. THAT SAID, leave it to the Alaska employees to make a small space soar in terms of friendly service that starts at the front desk, continues at the food/snack/beverage counter and finishes at the bar. As far as service goes 10 out of 5 stars all day long and it wasnt just my experience, I could overhear the joy and gratitude from just about everyone in my earshot as I worked looking out the window overhearing the friendly conversations with the bartenders and staff. I honestly enjoyed this space WAY more than I thought I would and I know it came down to the people working in it.
Great service and amenities. I definitely will fly next time through Alaska airlines. Excellent price.
Always great service with Alaska airlines. And their flights are always early or on time, the flight attendants are always super friendly and helpful. The fairs are always on sale or super competitive and even if they were more expensive I would fly with them because its just a very pleasant experience and not stressful in a slightest. 10 Stars
We had a delicious breakfast on the plane. Our stewardess was a lovely person.
Perhaps my last first class flight. Losing benefits of being 75k but its been wonderful.
Upgraded the 1st class and given a Box launch. Other airlines are fading real food. Flightwood flight was OK no problems problems.
Had a pretty miserable experience working with Alaska on a damaged baggage claim. They actually damaged our stroller to where it was no longer usable. Come to find out Alaska has a company policy to not make restitution on strollers that they have broken due to their negligence.I can tell you from experience traveling with an infant and a toddler is not easy. Airlines do not make it any easier with policies like this that put profits over people. And moreover they put those profits over families with very young children. You would think that they would do the right thing to provide some form of support to those families in which their baggage handlers damaged. So I write this as a warning to all families traveling on airlines. Make sure you check their liability policy to see what is covered. If you are traveling with a stroller and are concerned about damage to that stroller, consider other airlines besides Alaska Airlines. Each airline sets their own policy on this. Choose airlines that support families. If youve experienced the same thing with this airline or any others, make a complaint to the Department of Transportation, then maybe they could do something to stop this form of abuse.
I knew I was up for a rough day when instead of a direct flight I had to transfer planes...Apparently I left my wallet on my seat on the first plane and had a rough time during The layover...On the second plane another passenger returned my wallet to me safe and sound..The rest of my journey has been nice..
This was my first time flying with Alaska Airlines, and everyone was so pleasant and kind. I will be booking with this airline again!!!
Just excellent. Outstanding personnel. Very friendly and clean
Had a great flight from Anchorage to LAX. Very professional and friendly encounters with Alaska Airline as well as all other employees at both airports. Extremely short duration flight (6 hours) for our old dog Mr Frederick!
I have been having the best experience to date with Alaska. Ive flown a few times and nothing has ever been wrong but not Supa great either. Today Im have the Supa great experience with Alaska. So much so that they will get priority in my subsequent travels.
Absolutely horrible! When arriving from out of the country, you have to go outside of the terminal to walk to your next terminal (6 terminals away). Smog, heat, exhaust, attack you as you drag your luggage a half mile away. Also, the amount of announcements is ridiculous and LOUD! There arent enough charging ports in the morningaiting areas. The restaurants start closing at 4pm. Bottles of water vary from $2.50 to $5.00.
We took this flight from Honolulu to Lax. Alaska never fails. Ive tried more expensive airlines and they dont compare. Staff is nice, snacks are good, and airline is reliable.
Alaska is the one I use most often due to how quick they process you to board.
Great flight, lovely flight attendants and pilots. Checked my carry on for free. Enjoyed the entire experience.
This review is for this gate agent in LAX for her helping me see the good and the ugly in people. I booked a trip from Chicago to Hawaii with a friend, a one stop connection via Cali. A few days before the departure, an Alaska email informed me I have to make two stops in CA before flying to HI, extending my 8-hour travel to 16 hours, with one leg being a red-eye even. We tried to understand and didnt ask to match us at the lower two-stop pricing. Fast forward, we had an amazing time in HI and onboarding the flight back in Honolulu. The Hawaiian agent must spotted the change on her screen, she asked about our cancelled flights first and gave us better seats to make our experience a little better. I had checked-in on a kiosk so I didn’t get my boarding passes from her. This turned out to be a nightmare. When I went to the LAX gate, I saw my seat assignment flashing on the screen which was relatively in the front part of the plane, but the LA gate lady told me it was a primary seat. Later she booted me to a back-plane seat, while my friend’s better seating remained in the front bcuz she had gotten her pass from the Hawaiian lady. I went up trying to explain and see if I could sit with my friend rather with a stranger during COVID. Before I could finish, she basically yelled that she gave my seat to people who “paid for it”. She even threaten if I didn’t want to take the seat, she will put me on a later flight, and lied that the gate would close in 1 minute while there were still a lot of people boarding. Another Alaska agent joined and ganged up on us. They even shouted at a by-stander who tried to help us “Are you part of this group?” This is a terrible way to finish a wonderful trip. Under this agents fake eyelashes and heavy make-up, I saw a truly ugly human in comparison to the kindness the Hawaiian agent gave us. Must add, we encountered more than a dozen Alaska agents and crews during this trip, except for this agent who threatened and yelled at her customers, everyone else was friendly and showed willingnesses to listen&help.
This is one of the worst flight experience ever. My family was devastated with the rules that we cant change the flight. We had an emergency and we have to fly with family but we could not change the flight even if we are willing to pay the fees. This is ridiculous and my son cried for hours because of this. Wow what a disappointment. Never again.
Alaska Airlines is the best iin service for my experience traveling in this airline very profesional people
Alaska Airlines operated by Sky West team provides an outstanding flying experience with Excellent level of service.
Has good prices, gives you free snacks and is really simple to fly and book tickets.
I fly Alaska whenever I can for two reasons, the quality of the experience and the convenience of flying in and out of Santa Rosa - especially if Im going to Seattle, LA or San Diego.I also prefer taking connecting flights to places like NY and Austin rather than driving to SFO.A big plus is that by booking well in advance and choosing flexible dates I get amazing prices.
It was a little chaotic at the gate. Arrive extra early, and verify the actual gate youll be boarding through. The TSA security line moved right along. Good selection of places to eat, and quite a few place to sit, where you can eat, and plug in.
Alaska Airlines is by far the most customer centered airline. They go the extra mile to make sure your experience is top notch.
Monique at the bag drop is literally the best employee of the entire company! She worked so hard to get us on a flight after other airlines told us there was no way.
It took me to Washington, not Alaska...kinda misleading imo... but yknow. Idk how to fly an airplane so 5 stars
I fly Alaska...a lot! The Alaska LAX Terminal is such a pleasure to fly into. It isn’t too big, so the gates are easily navigated. There are several shopping and dining choices as well. Kathryn took wonderful care of me at Osteria, the homemade granola and yogurt came with a generous pile of berries and organic honey. I had a great (and needed) cup of coffee at Peet’s. There is a Starbucks at the other end of the terminal as well. Brantley, at the MAC store, made me as beautiful as I can after a night of travel and Maria helped me unpack my falling apart luggage into a new Tumi bag. If you are traveling with pets you will be happy with the outdoor terrace available for four legged travelers as well!
Flying with Alaska Airlines is always my first choice. The flights are almost always on time and if not, I get updates l via the APP. Staff is pleasant, courteous and friendly.
Good, had to take shoes off still. Do not like that.
Really enjoyed the 3% LAX, the $38 for a double vodka and cranberry juice, the sales tax too, oh and the extra charge for splash of pineapple juice. LA and the airport just keep on deteriorating. Could not have been happier to fly our of there!
Great service. Happy flight attendants.
Round trip was Amazing and the crew were Fantastic 👏 Kudos to them all.
I will never fly through LAX in the future. LONG customs lines and then had to RUN outside through several terminals with my luggage which could not be re-checked so lost about $100 in beauty products to the trash at security. Worst travel experience of my life!!!
Not so big but very clean and cute airport
Very nice trip! Good service
Iam not Frequent Flyer. But I love Alaska Airlines.. Their Pilots are First class. The Cabin personnel. Are second to None.. I never had a problem. W/Any of my Flight s...
Love the way Alaska Airlines handles the Covid19. You can eat in the airplane as long you follow the rules... love the features like cellphone charger outlet..room for your legs..and the flight attendants are not treating you like a dictator... I will flight again and I recommend this airline...
I really can say that it was better than I expected. The process of checking in and out was great, clean and spacious. Worth the extra bucks.
Not bad. Plane was clean. Restrooms need maintenance and cleaning.
Great flight. All the way to Seattle from LAX before a quick flight back to Albuquerque. Most intriguing!! Traffic I suppose.
Had an extremely painful experience, my son who is moving to Hawaii with his 2 cats and dog (his babies whom he loves) had purchased our tickets to the Hawaii for today. He had done everything to insure his babies could fly with him, he spoke to the people at Alaska airlines and was insured that all was done to be able to fly (vaccinated, purchased special kennel for the dog, carriers for the kitty’s, etc.). We drove 3 hours to get to lax, arrived and we were checking in when we were told his dog could not get on the flight.
*great people, friendly-helpful, trying their best to aid our cramped quarters and enjoy the ride. Thanks
Alaska is my number one choice for travels in North America. The service is professional, friendly, polite and attentive. The check in and bag drop is a breeze. They started using kiosks for checkin and bag drop off at this terminal. There are plenty of kiosks and using them is easy. There are multiple ways to find yourself and you can check in, print boarding pass, drop your bags. Once you print the tags, you attach them to your bags and hand the bags over in drop off station. There are staff at hand to help you with the machines.Once you pass the security, reaching your gate is a short walk. There are plenty seats and dining areas. However, the terminal seating area can be cleaner. Many seats were covered with crumbs or left over food boxes.
I used to love to travel with Alaska. But, they have changed the first class seats to add more rows($$$) and the 1st class is not the same as used to be. But, still a good airline.
My wife has the alaska card by BOFA and they still charged us 50 dollars! There was a family with annoying kids around overcrowding the food area. TERRIBLE!!
Friendly staff and quick to get us on the plane after being delayed yet again by Alaska.
Best staff of any carrier, and everyone seems to love thier job. Am always happy to get on an Alaska flight!
Clean airline. Crew was so- so. Was looking forward to a nicer time. Will try it again and update.
The flight was o.k! We were supposed to board at 11.20am. We ended up boarding at 2.07pm. No apologies whatsoever and the board still read 1.27pm when we were boarding at 2.07pm. Very disappointing!!!
