Joseph Christopher is an incredible salon and spa. I have been a member of the indulgence club since my first stop in over four years ago. I recently moved out of the area but still make the trip down to Long Beach bc they are that good! All of the staff are welcoming and nice - always feel comfortable during my different treatments and services. Highly recommend!

My experience was excellent! From the minute I arrived, I felt cared for. A warm greeting at the front desk, very welcoming assistant who provided a luxurious hair washing experience and then I had the best haircut and style that I’ve had in many, many years with a very professional and talented expert! I have already had so man compliments on my hair!!!

Our group of 4 friends celebrated our friends milestone birthday here with a mini spa party. Two of us had facials, and two had massages, with all of us emerging feeling pampered and refreshed to a delicious fruit tray awaiting us in the comfort area. Doris was great in helping to schedule everything and with prompt replies to our emailed questions. Fantastic, top-notch service from scheduling to day of treatments. Will definitely return!

Friendly and professional staff, beautiful facility; Christopher cut and styled my hair and I am happy with the cut. Zoila finished the job with a nice blowout. However: I am not too happy with the low-lights that I went for as it made my white hair too dark. I didn’t want the low-lights to dominate the overall white color of my hair. Maybe it was a communication problem between me and my very friendly colorist. I should have brought in a picture of what I had in mind.

I came here for the bridal makeup and hair. Overall I really wasn’t happy. I asked for eye lashes (which was an additional 20-30 dollars). On my way to my wedding ceremony (12 mins away) they were already falling off. I really had to pull myself together because I was very disappointed. I was constantly making sure they weren’t completely coming off during pictures and afterwards at my wedding luncheon. I wasn’t excited about the makeup all together, I asked for a glowy/ soft look (I even showed them pictures). My hair felt so stiff and uncomfortable the entire time, I’m not sure what she put in my hair. I immediately went home to take a shower and wash it off. I had to leave a deep conditioner for an hour to get it somewhat soft again. My biggest regret is not getting hair and makeup trails because I would have never done it here. The place was nice and everyone there was friendly but honestly I would never go there again.

They truly put time and effort into treating and styling your hair. And helping with your hair maintenance.

Janet is excellent. I have fine hair and have not had the best experiences with highlights. She did almost a whole head and her application and technique were great! They are even without being stripey and not overdone .. I also love the color and products. They are the only thing that does not ruin my fragile hair👍.

For my spa package I received for mother’s, Diana and Maria were both excellent and professional during their services. I will definitely return and recommend them for future services to friends and family.

Cut and color was beautiful, however I asked how long it was going to take because I had a meeting for work now and I was told it would take about an hour, and 4 hours later I was given an $800 bill. Some of the services I was asked about, but the bulk of the charges were for mistakes they had made in the first place. The bill was astronomical for a simple cut and color.

My hair was very damaged and over processed from a horrible chemical relaxer treatment. She gave me a much needed cut and the magic sleek treatment and I have been getting so many compliments how much healthier my hair looks.

For more than 20 years I have always gotten great haircuts from Joseph. Staff is friendly and professional at the same time. The occasional pedicure and manicure I’ve treated myself to have been excellent and worth the expense. The salon is unfailingly clean (even before Covid) and I always feel comfortable being there.

The ambiance at Josph Christophers Salon in Long Beach NY is upscale elegance ! They R unpretentious, warm & friendly from the start. I developed a comfort level from the start. I was formally introduce to both my colorist & hair cutter when they both greeted me. They analyzed my hair & gave their input on whT s/b done. They were both very skilled & I walked out feeling like a million dollars ! I strongly recommend this salon, all they offer, & Christina for color & Zoilas cutting skills ( and signature cut). Ive had 2 massages with Diana and they were some of the best Ive had and Ive had many all over the world. Diana is very experienced and more like a doctor of physiology and she knows the body very well just from touch and feel. I highly recommend her for massage!

I recently had a spa Bachelorette party for my lifelong friend here and they were BEYOND accommodating. I originally booked 3/21/20- LOL. Ended up rescheduling twice over the course of 9 months due to the state of the world- some bridesmaids even dropped out and we had to cancel them. I didnt lose any deposit money over the changes and they were even able to add on extra services last minute. Gave our entire party our own private locker room, fruit, and drinks. It was a relaxing day for everyone and we were so happy with their service.

I am Aveda. plus reward member for over 20 yrs and wanted a simple hair cut 3 off and curling iron for styling simple loose curls, ]was not made aware in advance I would have 2 hairstylers do both: 1) a hair cut $80 2) the curling iron $50 + $45. repair treatment (optional), one hairdresser could have done both but salon looks to regulate /fix prices. cost me $200 for a simple hair cut. I know its long Beach but I consider it over priced. Zolia and Emily did a nice job and very nice and friendly. Will not be coming back.

I have been coming here for a few years and every time the experience is amazing. Claudia does my hair color and every time she hits the nail on the head. I’ve showed her photos of what I want and she does it exactly how I like. Sharon does my cut and style and she just gets me. With her as well I show her a photo and she delivers. The salon is absolutely gorgeous. The detail is impeccable. The staff caters to you even if you’re just there for a simple blow out. Even if I move from Long Beach I will be traveling here for as long as they are open.

Very relaxing experience for me and my best friend. I had the 80 minute Chakra massage and it was extremely relaxing. Loved the different scented chakra sprays so much that I purchased all 3 scents. Very welcoming and helpful staff. I highly recommend the spa and will be returning with my best friend again for another girls spa day!

The manicure and pedicure were done by a new employee with little if any experience, but was charged as if done by a professional! The polish is all on my cuticles and peels off the nail when I try to get it off my skin.The products and techniques used to do my facial were good, however the lady who did my facial was doing everything as if she was in a race! Not relaxing at all, even the massage was rushed and that went on for about an hour. It was the worst facial I have ever had!

Claudia has been doing my highlights for the last year and I love it. I’ve tried many other places in the past and have never been as happy with the results as I am now. Highly recommend Claudia and this salon!!! Also very good about social distancing and cleanliness.

Claudia is a really talented hair colorist. She always delivers on your wish, while maintaining the integrity of the hair, and accomplishing what’s most flattering for your individual skin tone and look. I have severe trust issues when it come to coloring my hair so I appreciate how lucky I am to have found someone who excels at what they do (uncommon). Not only will you always leave looking bomb AF, you couldn’t meet a nicer person, which only enhances an already great experience.Also, shout out to Josefa who gives the best hair cuts! She is so knowledgeable on hair care and has helped me improve the condition of my hair a lot. She is so patient and kind with my 4 year old (who hates getting hair cuts) and always does a beautiful job.

Patricia was great! She took me on a much needed relaxing journey and beautiful haircut. She offered some opinions and I gave her some pictures and we came up with straight edge lob that I love. Easy to manage and upkeep. At the end of my appointment I received a hand, neck, and back massage with scented essential oils and makeup application. Definitely worth it to treat yourself for a mini makeover spa day! Next time Ill go shorter on the hair!

I love the care of detail and information that was provided by Patricia & Nicole. Hairstylist Patricia gave body to my hair by cutting and styling it to fit my personality. She is very creative and took her time to ensure that every strand of my hair was perfect. Nicole also provided suggestions on coloring, and listened to to my needs. I was surprised how amazing the facial I received was. Lola really knew her stuff and used the perfect mix of products and technique. The whole experience was relaxed and soothing. But most of all, the facial left my face glowing and dewy. I enjoyed every minute - and you cant beat Aveda products.

I finally decided to go from blonde to brown and eventually back to my natural color. I thought it would take months and not be a pleasant journey. After speaking with Janet she knew what I wanted and added a few ideas of her own. I can’t believe the results. My hair is a beautiful highlighted brown. I love it. I feel ten years younger. Nicole colored my hair and I have literally found a GEM! I am very picky because I have a natural grey streak that I color around. I dont trust anyone with my hair. Joseph cut my hair and I have not had a haircut like this in forever. Such a precise cut and I trusted him with taking quite a few inches off and I have never been happier. I get my hair colored by Mariel and have worked with Rachel for many years and I’m always amazed they can make my hair more beautiful than I could have imagined. Joseph has been cutting my hair for over a decade and I’ve never been disappointed. The best part is how well it grows out. Months later I still receive compliments about my hair as if I had just gotten my haircut.
