Pelican Auto Part BMW sales rep passed on Address for a repair service for my Alpine radio, excellent turn around i had my radio back in short order and it is so nicely appearing i was shocked. After i installed it and put in security code i checked its functioning. Awesome in ever respect, Thank you German Audio Tech.

Id like to leave a good review but so far I have a radio that doesnt work. Ive left messages on a Friday, its Monday afternoon. They have yet to answer me with the security code that should have come with the unit. Shipping was fast, price reasonable. There is a chat platform on their website that says they respond immediately but I have not received an answer from my message I left 3 days ago.

UPDATE: 9/2/21 still no response. email after email after phone messages.. crickets... 5 months with no response. I wrote this a month ago hoping someone would contact me to resolve this issue...After sending multiple emails and leaving multiple messages for months with no response, it appears that this is the only place people are able to get a response from you. Order number 8604 purchased April 8th. 2005 Bentley cluster back lighting out. its the 3rd time youve seen it, my car has been inop since April waiting for this cluster. I sent it with your label. how do I get my cluster repaired and back??? how can i talk to someone about this? my info is on the customer information.

Doing business with this company is like reasoning with a three year old who is throwing a fit! Very unprofessional! You CANNOT get in contact with these people until you want a refund! Placed order 3/5/21, have emailed multiple times, as instructed by their voicemail message. No response from them. Disputed charges with my bank and GAT tells them that service was rendered- funny, because my instrument cluster is still in my possession, so I’m not sure what you guys did to it, being that it was never mailed out to you..All I’m looking for is a refund, but I can’t even get a response. I really don’t like leaving negative reviews, but looking at the rest of yours on Google, it’s the only way to get a response.Update: Please explain why I would send my instrument cluster to you when you cant even respond to an email - your only method of communication is Google reviews. What kind of reassurance does that give me, especially comparing other like reviews?

WARNING!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS!! I sent them my Bmw e31 information computer for pixel repair, they sent it back to me and I put it back in my e31 worked fine, but after a few days one of the pixel lines was going in and out, but everything else worked fine! So I sent it back to them so the can repair it, a couple months go by no word so I emailed them they responded that they didn’t know what part I was talking about. After I sent them the emails between us they miraculously found my part and said they were working on it. Then the pandemic hit and they said that they could not ship my item out since everything was on lockdown. Almost a year goes by and I’m still fighting with these crooks to get my property back. A few weeks ago I saw them list an e31 computer with the same serial number on eBay selling it for $900. So I emailed them and I told them that they stole my part and are reselling it. Sure enough I finally got a response back, them telling me that it’s not my part that my part was no longer functional and they would send it back to me if I paid for the shipping back. I said fine I just want my PROPERTY BACK! I Still have not received my part and they still do not reply to the phone calls or emails. Long story short do not do business with these CROOKS!!!!. Horrible business and even more horrible people. They take it advantage of the BMW community look at all the bad reviews. Can’t stress enough not to do business with these CROOKS AND THIEVES!!Also, this is literally my first google review post I have ever posted, I really give businesses that I have had a bad experience with the benefit of the doubt, and even if its a really bad experience I’ve never been the person to post a bad review! But these guys take the cake on unprofessionalism!! Just don’t want anyone else getting screwed over by these CLOWNS! Watch them respond some lame excuse like “ we told you to give us your return address” (which I sent them MULTIPLE TIMES!) and if they do I will post all the emails and receipts between us and let people make there own decision on who’s right on this!!

Edit: after zero communication I received an extremely late incorrect item! I ordered a c33 radio that came in e36 cars and received a c43 model that came in later model vehicles! This is fine to me as they are interchangeable just slightly different button orientation and the volume knob on the c43(model I received) is known to be better long term function wise. All in all a frustrating experience but at least i got somethingI placed an order through their website and have been trying to contact them for 6 days straight with no response. I only want to know when I can expect my order to be shipped. I’ve tried phone, email, and even IMing them on Instagram. My order #8746 was for a c33 radio unit for my 1997 BMW e36 328i. I’d still like my radio as I need it, but at this point would settle for a refund of my money

We solicited the services of German Audio Tech for the repair of a used Mini vehicle we owned that needed the radio lights repaired. At the start they were very responsive to our emails and quickly got back to us to secure our business. However that is when the service became non existent. They emailed us an invoice saying to click the link or go to the website to pay. We attempted both and were unable to pay as the link they sent led us to a page that said out of stock with no option to pay. As we needed our radio back to allow for the sale of our mini we attempted to phone and email German Audio Tech daily for several weeks. They were unresponsive. Eventually I researched their reviews online and saw the common pattern. They never answer their phone and will not phone you back. Any poor reviews that are posted they simply blame the reviewer. However any smart person can easily identify their game by reading the reviews.It is such a crazy problem as we are simply trying to give them money and they will not reply to our emails. I even messaged them on the google ask a question function explaining we needed to speak with them to PAY THEM as they pay site was not working. For whatever reason that is beyond me they used the same tactic and blamed us saying they had emailed us and we were simply not paying. That doesnt even make sense when we explained in the question we were trying to pay and their site was not working. I would not recommend using this company. They are not reliable and will not respond to you after the fact except to blame you. I urge you to read the reviews and see the pattern of their methods.Response to Answer from Owner:This is their boiler plate response to all bad reviews. This place is a scam. Ordered replacement LCD screens for the instrument guage cluster for my 2005 Mercedes SL500 in February 2021.Contacted them through email, text message, phone numerous times with no response. Finally in April I contacted amazon.com whom I paid for the screens through.Fortunately I paid through my Amazon account and contacted them and in turn they opened an investigation. Evidently after Amazon did their investigation and did not get a response either I received a refund through Amazon.Very poor service experience for me.

GAT showed me an economical solution via a very professional website to a longstanding problem in my Mercedes. My order was dealt with immediately and I received the parts in New Zealand less than a week later. 3hrs later they were installed and working perfectly. What could be better!

Failed to fix E46 M3 Navigation display after taking payment. After weeks of trying to have the owner take responsibility and fix the unit I payed good money to have fixed, they denied and was forced to file a Paypal claim. Unfortunately for myself they lied to Paypal and Paypal denied my claim. I am now filing a claim with my credit card company and the Better Business Bureau.

Had some delay in communication, might have been due to the public health situation. I was able to exchange a stereo for my vehicle for another after the first one I received did not work well. I have a old vehicle, and oem is not always easy to find. Took a little time, but was able to find a good replacement for the stereo from this business.

I purchased an LCD display for my 2006 Jetta TDI. The one in my car has the classic VW problem of the screen warming up and the pixels then fading out. I purchased the replacement from GAT just over a month ago. It actually arrived quickly, I had high hopes. Those hopes were dashed when I went to install the screen.I followed a very detailed write up on one of the VW forums, I put everything back together but unfortunately the screen was dead. I tried again, ensuring the ribbons were set, again nothing. I gave it one more shot, still nothing. At this point I grabbed my BoS and emailed them immediately, requesting replacement or refund, either would have satisfied me. Since I was planning on driving my car again, i installed my old display, and the first time it worked, faded but worked.Fast forward ten days, I hadnt heard anything. I emailed their support email again. I was very upfront with my plans, either they would respond or I would contact paypal. I sent a third email, and at the end of the next business day I disputed the transaction through PayPal. I figured it would take a while to hear anything, so I didnt check back for five days, but when I checked back, I saw they responded not once but TWICEthat same day. Here is an exact copy of the conversationMe: Product arrived to me dead. I made three attempts to seat the LCD screen in my cars dash display. Each time it did not light up at all. After the third attempt I replaced my old worn display back in the dash display and it worked (worn but worked). The product sent is brand new and quality control and check before mailing. If it is not installed properly or damaged by customer during installation, that is not our fault. We bought an LCD screen from German Audio Tech in December of last year and it has since failed. We cant get anyone to respond to our 5 phones calls and 2 emails. At this point we will have to purchase another screen from a different vendor. Beware of this company if you are looking for a company to stand behind the products they sell.

I guess I am the anomaly. I have called numerous times to no avail. I have left messages. I have emailed as asked. I even used the chat bot on their website that promises an immediate response more than once. Zero responses. I drove all the way down to LB to find that the address listed Is a mail drop and not their physical location. Why hide. This really makes me wonder if I am not the only that has had this experience. I have never had it be so difficult to connect with a business before. I wonder how anyone connects with them.

Went to the BMW dealer and was told my only option was to replace the radio at $750.German Audio Tech sold the replacement pixel screen for a fraction of that.Watched a YouTube video and had total confidence in repairing my self with a Phillips head screwdriver, torx driver.Part was delivered on time, great quality.Thanks again!

BUYER BEWARE. My son Blake ordered a repair service for his BMW Lighting Control Module. Never received the email instructions to mail with his controller. Have reached out to support twice, with no response. Requested a refund with my last message to support, and still no response. Original order was placed on August 31st, and the funds cleared my bank on September 3. Thankfully, he never mailed them his lighting control module! German Audio Tech was a wonderful find for us! We have a 2010 Mercedes ML350 with only 47,000 miles so keeping it for a while longer was our plan. When the screen began to fail on the Comand System, while everything else was working fine, we suffered sticker shock when the dealership said replacing the whole system for $3,000 was the only option. I found German Audio Tech on line and they replaced the failing screen for only $299. They were prompt, with excellent customer service and great value! I highly recommend them for solving instrumentation and audio electronic problems at a very reasonable price!

A year ago I sent them a e36 CD43 business radio head unit with volume knob and pixel issues and en e39 LCM module. 5 months pass and no responses. I sent them e-mails and got dodgy one sentence responses at first, then after 3 emails they stopped writing back. They then blocked my phone number. You can see BS response below claiming the radio is e-waste but I was never refunded and never got the radio back. Im convinced they fixed it and are now selling it for over $500, leaving me down $400 in equipment the $150 I paid for the repair. Dont trust them!

We had the pixel displays replaced in instrument cluster and radio in or 2003 BMW X5. Now it’s like new. The repair was very reasonable and done by German Audiotech. They do great work. Excellent, professional service. If you have a BMW with bad pixels in the radio or instruments look these guys up.

I have a 2009 SL550 which needed a new LCD screen as it was very scratched and stained. Chris was extremely professional and knowledgeable on handling this issue. He was able to remove the unit from the dash, replace the glass, and re-install it perfectly. It did not take long and his knowledge in this area is apparent. German Audio Tech did a nice job repairing my E46 Business CD radio knob and faceplate electrical connection. They processed my repair super fast and I recommend their services to others...keep those OEM radios in great working order!

He was quickly able to help me find a blown fuse in my custom built amp and replaced it. Before that I watched him diagnose a bad tube in someone elses amp.Hes very knowledgeable. Listen to what he says and know that your amp is in the best hands possible.

I sent a very expensive Lexus stereo to them for repair on an eBay transaction for $299. I was told I did not send them the exact model pictured. I asked for a repair quote and was told it was going to cost an additional $229.95. I said I did not want to repair it and asked them to return my stereo and refund my $299. They said to send them a return shipping label, which I did at least 4 different times.I have not been able to contact them since they told me to send a shipping label and had to open a case with eBay to get my $299 back. They still have my stereo. They received my stereo 5/16/19.

I had replaced my battery of 98 323is and did not have my radio code. I called 2 local dealerships, BMW of Bayside and BMW of Freeport. Bayside wanted 120.00 for the code if I gave them the serial number they also had a poor attitude and Freeport asked for 175.00 and I would have to bring it in (the service girl was very nice) I found this to be beyond out of control as I OWN this radio, there is no labor involved if you ask me to remove it and get the serial number. For those of you who know, this is a slip of paper. I reached out to BMW corporate customer relations where I was basically told to take a hike because my car is too old and dealerships have every right to charge whatever they want. After almost being scammed by multiple code generator websites I found German Audio Tech. I was skeptical at first since so many other websites were fraudulent but then I searched their site in depth and realized they perform a lot of different services. I decided to go thru with it, I figured 15.00 is much more realistic then being extorted by a dealership for fun. Well in less then 24 hours I got my code I entered it and boom, music again. This service is invaluable. Before you are scammed by a free website, brushed off and extorted by a dealership and paid 0 mind to by corporate HQ who basically tells you tough luck your cars old we don’t care that you have been loyal to our brand for over 10 years by driving 4 of our cars, I highly recommend German audio tech. My BMW E39 needed a MID pixel repair. I read great things about German Audio Tech on forums and their eBay feedback was pristine. Since I live in LA, I asked through email if I could stop by for a same day service and they said yes. I somehow didnt ask his name but Ive heard others call him *****, either way he was very polite, we chatted about my car for a bit and then he removed the faulty unit from my car while I waited. 30 minutes later he was back with the MID radio display. He had cleaned it very nicely and the pixelation was gone! For such a quick turnaround, I was blown away. Years of frustration for something BMW would charge a ton for and he did it in a half hour. I highly recommend German Audio Tech and their services!

My BMW E39 needed a MID pixel repair. I read great things about German Audio Tech on forums and their eBay feedback was pristine. Since I live in LA, I asked through email if I could stop by for a same day service and they said yes. I somehow didnt ask his name but Ive heard others call him Chris, either way he was very polite, we chatted about my car for a bit and then he removed the faulty unit from my car while I waited. 30 minutes later he was back with the MID radio display. He had cleaned it very nicely and the pixelation was gone! For such a quick turnaround, I was blown away. Years of frustration for something BMW would charge a ton for and he did it in a half hour. I highly recommend German Audio Tech and their services!

I sent purchased a unit from these guys via eBay only to get a damaged unit, completely destroyed. Box was intact, looked perfect on the outside, but they used no packaging material. They blamed USPS for the incident and have been battling for a refund from these guys. Awful experience! Terrible service!
