Unprofessional and unprepared seems to be the theme with this Pep Boys. This is the second time I’ve come here with an appointment that was made days in advance and they’re still not ready to service me. I now have to wait 1-2 weeks to have a tire replaced that I have to fill up with air every other day. I wish I would’ve just paid the extra hundreds of dollars to get my tires replaced with my car’s dealership a year ago instead. Discounts aren’t worth the headache and inconvenience you get here.

I have been going to this place for years, however this time was my last! This place had become the worst, very unprofessional, careless and couldn’t even complete the service I paid for!👎🏻👎🏻 I ordered new tires for my SUV, at first never got a call from the store to let me know the tires had arrived. After I found out, made appointment for next day for installation, when I was advised car was ready for pick up, once I went to get my car back, the manager, Cesar with straight face told me they couldn’t complete the tires alignments!! Told me machine was broken but was going to get fixed next day, this place kept me going for alignment for an entire week! Never was done!! Finally again with out any shame, Cesar just admitted they was not going to do it, send me to another store in Paterson to do it! Paterson said machine was broken too! Paterson’s PepBoy sent me to Hackensack where I have to wait for THREE HOURS for alignment!! They reasoning is that they are getting a lot of those store customers with the same problems and they overwhelmed! Like I said Bye bye PepBoys👎🏻👎🏻They don’t want my patronage with such treatment 👎🏻

Traveling from NYC to Western NY we were unlucky to catch a flat near Hackensack. Being late in the day on July 4th, we were obviously concerned about finding a place that was open to replace the tire. Lucky for us, Carlos and his team at Pep Boys in Lodi, NJ were open and happy to help. Because the car is all wheel drive, we ended up having to replace all four tires. Our SUV has odd size wheels. Although an odd size, they had two brands in stock. They made recommendations and gave us a great deal. Out the door with less than $700 for four tires with mounting and balancing. We were expecting to pay far more. Although it was after five, on a holiday, the team never made us feel rushed or bothersome. Carlos was very accommodating to us. He provided excellent service to us. We sincerely appreciate this. What they did to get us back on the road was greatly appreciated.

After calling around to a few other auto shops, I finally got right through to this Pep Boys location. I ended up speaking with Philip (master mechanic) and he was extremely helpful and walked me through what could or could not be the issue with my Lincoln navigator. Feeling very comfortable after our discussion, I decided to bring my truck in. I was met by Philip and Tony who were extremely professional and very thorough. Phillip explaining everything and made suggestions for the work they were going to do on my truck. Phillip’s knowledge as a master mechanic and his professionalism was what really sold me to this Pep Boys location. I have found a new permanent mechanic for many years to come. Dont schedule an appointment in advance! Took an half-hour for them just to check if my tires I wanted were in-stock and then they had to call around to other locations and after about 45 min Cesar was unable to find any at the other pep boys. So I had to choose to reschedule or cancel and go someplace else! It will take them a couple hours to get the 1 tire I needed to complete my set of 4! Only problem is I have to work today. So Ill be getting up early Saturday morning to take my time to drive out again to the Lodi store!P.S. dont make an 8am appt. apparently the mechanics dont arrive until like 9.

Honestly the manager is a very nice guy always professional, but I have been to this location many times and not all experiences have been bad but recently the last few visits the customer service has been horrible. I purchased 4 brand new tires from another location last year. I brought my car in because the air pressure was on. I was told my tires were checked and the air pressure sensor in one of my tires were faulty but that my tires were fine, So I made an appointment to come back at the end of the week for the sensor. I left pepboys in Lodi (10 minute drive from my home) my car was parked until the next day. I come out the next morning and my right tire is completely flat. I called Them back and spoke with the assistant manager and another Worker. They say they don’t know, they couldn’t find a work order to confirm if air was put in the tires, could not confirm which tire needed a sensor. They just had a very I don’t care attitude. After I I told her(assistant manager) I would be bringing it in as soon as the spare was put on that day, I called around 5:30 pm she tells me if i get there and it is too late they will not accommodate, just rude when they completely dropped the ball. Please train your employees on customer service!

Bad service my tires werent installed properly. charged for stem valve did not put new stem valve used the old one. charged for rotation no rotation was done

DISHONEST and MONEY HUNGRY. Do not bring your older vehicle to this franchise. I brought the vehicle in for brakes and rotors; they came back with a near $3000 estimate. I worked the price down to $1400 and settled for only certain work(because the vehicle is 2008 with 140k miles). I left, the car continued to drag to the right as if the wheel alignment I paid for was not completed. I brought it back the next day and they said there isnt anything they can do for me because I didnt do the rest of the work.So, I brought the car to Firestone in Saddle Brook. HONESTY: the mechanic said the car is not worth fixing because of the rott/rust/sway bar, etc and charged NOTHING for looking at it. Pepboys in Lodi, NJ wasnt honest and took advantage of me. That $1400 could have been put towards a new car I will need to buy soon, but instead, they lined their pockets with my misfortune in a pandemic.

The staff were congregating in the waiting area, chatting, on their phones watching videos loudly leaving the wait area unattended for long stretches of time, phone ringing off the hook. I went in for a tire change and an alignment. Something that should take at least an hour took closer to 5. The tech was dragging his feet to do the job. I asked several times about the status and when I could flag someone down they would give me a generic answer, Im not the tech working on it, Im not sure. My favorite answer was, Its already done! I looked at the parking lot and my truck was in the same exact place I left it hours eariler. After I finally got my keys to leave I drove home being my original plans had to be cancelled. When I finally remembered to look at the tire levels, all of my tires were overfilled. New tires have specific markers to ensure best fitment on the rim. They were placed how ever the tech felt they should be placed. Actually thinking about it now, I should probably go make sure theyre facing the right direction. Its a miracle the tires didnt pop on the highway home. Im not sure what happened to this location after they moved next door but its management has gone to s**t. The place looks great, the management/staff needs a facelift. I regret going to that location and wasting my day there.

Went in to get new tires installed. Tires installed now car is trembling. When driving on a smooth road feels like tires are going to fall off. Called took car back and guess what they say nothing is wrong with the car. Not only were they expensive but not worth my time. If you don’t know what you are doing don’t do it.

I went to Pepboys Lodi NJ location on October 26 for wheel alignment. The checkin was quick. The lady on the front desk was Not Wearing mask. Anyway, the mechanic came back after 20 minutes and took me to the vehicle and showed me that the front wheel is tilting and need to replace tie rod, axel and rotors, see the pics and Frankie gave me $1,500 dollar estimate. I took the vehicle to another garage. It only needed a new axel. They charged me $200 for the axel. This Lodi NJ, location very dishonest, please don’t go there. UPDATE: these guys also move the nut for the axel to unlock position. That is why the wheel was tilting. The other machine who fixed it tightened the nut and there was no tilting after that. However, there was an oil leaking in the axel so I changed the axel. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!

I will definitely not give more than 3 stars reason I called them few weeks ago they quoted almost 450 plus to do my vw passat front brakes which has sensor it really upsets me being a technician in the automotive field I do understand every company needs a profit only reason i have a bad back but this kind of price is just bit too much thanks but I will do it myself OEM parts are easy to get any ways I will put brembo rotors and pagid pads they are decent quality I am sure I will not spend 500, I still have wholesale account any ways my suggestion to management please look in to your pricing .

The store close at 07:00 pm. I went there at 06:25 pm. For an oil change. Firstly, they took 10 minutes to ask me what I wanted, after I walked the lobby and the front parking. Then, a lady asked me “what do you want?” And I said I need an oil change. She said it was too late for it and turned her way.

Imanage VIP wheel and tire located in Lodi New Jersey which is down the block from them and I happily use them to do wheel alignments for our customers that need mechanical work or new wheels and tires for their vehicle. Great place. Been here to fix my tires twice and they did an amazing job. Fast and explained everything. Good experience all together. I asked a bunch of questions and I got straight forward answers. I called before I went to see if they had the tire for my car. As soon as I got here they already had it waiting for me so they could change it faster and I dont have to wait for it. Awesome.

After recently purchasing a used car from Carvana,we needed to have a couple of things fixed on the car. Since we were still within our seven day trial for the car it was easy enough to get them to cover it. The Lodi Pep Boys was their mechanic, so we bought it here.The issues that we needed to get fixed were the front brakes and the alternator which had stopped charging the battery. It was easy enough to set up an appointment and drop the car off for repairs.The only issue with the repairs was the warranty company and the time it took them to get back to Pep Boys about covering it. for instance we were told that we could drop it off Friday or Saturday at pep Boys, however carvanha failed to mention that the insurance company would be open to authorize the repairs until Monday, as they were closed on Saturday.The worker here that we dont listen to all our affairs at the main desk is Frankie and he did an excellent job communicating with us and answering any questions we had.Our initial 7 day trial was over we still have a few thousand miles on the warranty and our air conditioning stopped working. This time the air conditioning would simply turn off after 5 to 10 seconds of cooling. Frankie understood exactly what we were talking about, which made getting it fixed easy, except that once again we had to wait about four days for the insurance company to get back to Pep Boys.We had to call Carvana to see if they could get the insurance company to expedite the repairs, and were then told by the insurance company that we would have to have Pep Boys call the insurance company back so they could expedite the repair. This seemed like an unnecessary step for Pep Boys to have to go through to get the job done, and yet Pep Boys was able to step up and get this part of the job done as well!As with any chain company, you can find good ones and bad ones. This is definitely one of the good locations, and I would attribute that to the mechanics that did an excellent job on our car and Frankie for handling the front end.weve still got a few thousand miles on our warranty and if any more problems occur we will be bringing it back here to get it done.

Ill tell you, I didnt even have to make an appointment, I just brought my car in after I called ahead and they took immediately. I was done within the hour.I initially decided to go to Pep Boys because I was tired of the horrible customer service I had received at the dealership. Not only did I find that this Pep Boys was much more pleasant but it was cheaper too (and they dont try and gouge you with extra fees and prices)! Will definitely be coming back.

Purchased tires online and choose this location to do the installation.Once they received the tires they called me and i made appointment. A day before the appointment i called them again just to confirm if they want me to go there at 8 am sharp or 8:30 if they need some time to open and prepare the tools (as they open at 8 am). I went there 8 and waited until 9 am only to find out that my tires are not there. They kept looking and then 30 min later they confirmed the tires are not there. I went inside the garage and saw same dimension of the tires, online purchase from same website, Just different brand. They realized they installed my tires on someones else car, while that person tires were still in the shop.There was heavy ice and snow at that time and i had to drive my odl tires for another 2 weeks until Pep Boys ordered new ones and install it.

David was awesome and the service was even better. They took my details gave me the options and waited for me to tell them what I needed. No pressure tactics or scare tactics. They even turned down a customer telling him he didnt need what he was asking for. His car was perfectly fine!! I never have seen a car Repair place like this honest.Franchise or private mechanic. This is the best I have seen so far. For what they do and how they do it. After my wheel alignment the car ran completely different. I will highly recommend this place if they offer what your vehicle is needed.

I have come to PepBoys on rt46 in the past and they always get the job done right and for the better price than the dealership always tries to charge me! Diego is great as always. Not sure who the new folks in the front area are but I didn’t like them upsell unnecessary things to me. It made me feel uncomfortable and frustrated. Amazing service!! People here are honest and very helpful. Here you can buy your own oil and filter and they change it for you. I went other place before where they do car wash and oil change and they broke my oil tank nut. i had oil light goes on and off when put brakes and knew something is wrong. Pepboys found it and showed it to me whats issue and fixed it without extra charge.

Kyle (write up tech/front desk) is a nice guy but ever since the new ASSISTANT MANAGER came in (super rude guy) started working there at the front, its gone down hill. Super long time customer and several of my friends now gone and many have/will follow. No longer can recommend this location to friends. Id recommend the Hasbrouck Heights location. Ive upgraded 1 star to 3 stars only because I contacted corporate which in turn contacted a (new manager) Chris, which promised to get my vehicle fixed properly and it was eventually taken care of. Thank you very much Chris and Kyle! I wish you the best with the existing ASSISTANT MANAGER! My apologies for not being able to rate any higher because, I must warn others of your ASSISTANT MANAGER! If anyone else has a bad experience with the ASSISTANT MANAGER please report it to corporate and the manager until that person learns customer service skills 101!!! If you go to this location, Id recommend that you do so only when Chris and Kyle are around. Thank you Chris and Kyle for reaching out and resolving my issues at the end.

Never go to this location. I litterally got cheated for 1400$. I will not recommend this shop for anyone. I trusted the pepboys brads and gave my car to fix for emissions issue. They charged me $1400 and told the issue is fixed and asked to drive 50 miles to reset the sensors.i drove 500 miles still the sensors show unread. Now they say it might be the sensors issue. They wouldnt answer why they had to fix catalatic converter and charge 1400 If it was a sensor issue in the first place.

I had a Pep Boys that I used religiously in Staten Island and almost brought it back when I started having trouble with my car after I moved to NJ. I decided to try a local Pep Boys and I found a new home for my car. The customer service was excellent. Chris and Malik went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with and my car is running awesome. I highly recommend this location and I will definitely be back.

My initial review was based on one interaction with this location, which happened to not be a good one. However, I have to say that I am very impressed at the quick response from Pep Boys. They reached out to me and after sharing our experience with them, they contacted the location and within a few hours I received a phone call from the manager. He apologized and made the situation right. We all have a bad day now and then and next time I will extend a little grace before reacting with a bad review. Glad to know their customers matter that much to them. Definitely going back for future services.

I had a very nice experience with Cesar Marte at the Lodi Pepboys. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He helped me with a slow flat and re-install of some tires I bought elsewhere. I realize that there are products that need to be done by specialists. Tires are one of them. I would highly recommend this location. Cesar and his fellow employees were excellent!Update: 6/30/19 One of the tires looked almost flat. Took it in on a Sunday afternoon and Cesar fixed it himself got me on my way. Hit a pothole, popped a tire and cracked the axel! We didn’t know it till it was up on the lift and my car is old and German so it was a bit difficult, but the guys and gals at Pep Boys in Lodi kept at it and were able to get it fixed and were more than fair with overall cost. Friendly mechanics who accepted my used motor oil w/o hesitation -- used motor oil that was refused by Pep Boys of Hackensack (that gave an excuse that their oil tank was full while there were cars having their oil changed).Definitely recommend this Pep Boys for service over Hackensack location!
