Called because my central air stopped emitting cold air. Jeff, the owner, arrived within an hour and installed the bad parts ( in the pouring rain ).He also changed the furnace filter. VERY efficient and professional. I willdefiantly highly recommend this company, AFM HEATING & COOLING !!!

Used AFM for repairs and when time came for a new system (old one was 30 years old) I got 3 estimates. One was of course from AFM because of the great work they had done for me. I was happy to see that the AFM estimate was the best. The professional crew came in and installed the new furnace quickly, cleanly, and efficiently. I was so happy with the product (Ruud) and the installation that I junked my A/C unit and had them install a matching unit. Again super impressed with the crew and the work they did. Also had them install a new furnace for my mother in-law (emergency job) on a days notice. Great work again. I would recommend AFM to anyone!

I am so impressed by this company! We called them about issues with our HVAC leaking water. They were fully booked today but offered some do it yourself advice or said they can come out Saturday or Monday. I am very thankful to them because their DIY advice WORKED!!!! At least for now and regardless the fact they just wanted to help us in the moment versus telling us to wait for a paid appointment is so kind. All our business will go to them!

Worst company to deal with. The guy (Jeff) came in for an estimate and he would never respond to emails or phone calls. After waiting 45 days and this company was recommended by a 3rd party supplier, this jerk tells me we are not familiar with this product.Bro......a lot of companies would like to take this job.

We got a new high-efficiency furnace and A/C. I was surprised at how much better it works than our old one ever did. Before, the top floor was always too warm in the Summer and too cool in the Winter. Today it was hot and humid outside. Inside it was cool and nice throughout the whole house. The installer explained what was wrong with the old installation. Im an engineer and didnt think it would have made much difference, but it did.

I will be using them for any future needs because they were the only people to answer the phone when I called several other service companies and they got there fast and answered all my questions. When Ryan the tech came out he was very professional and friendly, he looked at my furnace and answered all of my questions honestly and thoroughly. I called AFM because my mothers furnace blower was making a vibrating noise. Spoke with Joyce who answered the very helpful, she contacted Jeff there technician explained the situation and within 1 hour he arrived at our home. He diagnosed the problem and made some calls to locate the part needed and returned promptly to complete the repairs. Jeff is honest, very helpful, informed us about another possible problem to consider replacing the blower fan unit.Called Jeff back when the blower fan began to vibrate, he was out of town. Noticed our air-conditioner was not working Mon, 7/6/20 after 5pm. We checked several heating and cooling companies on the web and most were closed or not answering. Everything we have experienced with Jacob’s Ladder has been excellent. We had preventive maintenance on our two furnaces in October, 2019. The technician arrived on time, was very knowledgeable, thorough and friendly. He took time to educate us about our units. In January, 2020, after another contractor worked on our chimney, we experienced a problem with one of the units. The same technician from Jacob’s Ladder came out. He remembered us and our furnaces, he ran diagnostics, and resolved the problem quickly. Their communication and follow up is outstanding. We needed a new furnace and air conditioner and he recommended we turn the new one so there was easier access( our old furnace was hard to get to and open the door ) . I called AFM to do some ductwork on a dormer addition I had put on. This company was recommended to me by a friend, who’s father had done business with them for years. I spoke with Jeff(the owner?) and told him what I was looking to have done and he said he would call me the next day to schedule an estimate. Next day came, no call. I called the following day and spoke with Jeff and he told me he forgot, was sorry and would be out 2 days from then at 1030am to do the estimate. 2 days later, no one shows up. I called again and spoke to Jeff and he, again apologized and said that he had forgot and asked if he could come out the following day. I told him it is obvious he could care less about my business and I will find another company to do the job. He reluctantly said ok and hung up the phone. Awful experience and a waste of my time.

My furnace wasnt working so I called to schedule an appointment, and I was told someone would be by between 8:30am and 9am the next day. The next day, by 9:30am no one had arrived and I hadnt heard anything so I called to follow-up and was told someone would be by in the next hour (9:30am-10:30am range). If I was told 9:30am-10:30am originally I wouldve been fine with it, but the inconsistent information was frustrating. I cancelled my appointment and went with a different company.

AFM was incredibly fast, affordable and did the job right the first time. My furnace inducer went out when it was 12 degrees outside and they came out within two hours of me calling then two hours after that had the part and fixed it efficiently and I had heat again! Recommend these guys.

He could have been dishonest and told us we definitely needed a whole new system, given how old the system is, but he was very straight with us and fixed two problems...and then there was wonderful, cool air! This is probably one of the most unprofessional companies Ive ever dealt with. I made an appointment for their technician to show up between the window of 12-4pm. Their technician calls at 12pm stating he will be at my house in 20 minutes, well and hour rolls by and he still isnt here. After an 1 hour and 15 minutes go by he calls me and says its raining they will have to reschedule for after the rain, which isnt a problem for me I can understand that. By what happened to showing up in twenty minuets. So anyways it stops raining and I call the main office, they said we will have him come out. Another hour goes by and no phone calls or technician. So I call the main office again and they just say we will see where he is then hangs up. Finally 15 minutes later a technician calls me.. well guess what, Im longer interested in spending my money on a company that cant even effectively communicate. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

These guys were quick! I just had my furnace break down and when I called (during a lovely snow storm mind you) - they said they would be there within 2 hours. They were there in an hour and half. They had to get the part and come back and it was done very quickly. I plan to use this company again. I recommend.

I had an issue where my AC condenser fan wasnt starting up, or would stop after a while as the rest of the unit ran. The danger there is that the unit could over-heat, causing a full replacement. The specialist that came out to my house was Jeff, and he came out within an hour and 1/2 after I called. He was really courteous and professional. He explained the problem could be a few things, but that hed try the most simple solution first, because he didnt want to make a more expensive fix if it wasnt needed. He made the fix and the fan began working again. He told me to call right away if the problem recurred. Well, the next time we used the AC, the fan stopped after a while. I called Jeff Back. He came back out (with no charge) and came to the conclusion that a bigger repair was needed. He sent a team the next day, they made the repair. AFM made sure that the costs of the original service call were rolled into the final one, so i wasnt charged for each service call.. .in other words, they werent miking me, they were honestly trying to keep the costs low. The AC has been running smoothly for a week since then. I wanted to be sure about my results before I left a review. Great job Jeff, and AFM. You guys are fair, honest, and do great work.

When our furnace broke down recently, we called AFM Heating & Cooling to come and fix it. One of their technicians, Jeff, showed up an hour later (even though it was on a Sunday night), was able to get our furnace back up & running in a short time period and explained everything very clearly. My wife and I just brought home our new baby boy and found out when we got home the air conditioning was not working. I called at 11:13am on a Saturday, and Kevin was in my driveway in less than 30 minutes. I have referred AFM to several clients over the years, and they always give top notch service.

First hot day of the year and my A/C condenser would not kick on. Spoke with Phil on the phone on a Friday morning and made an appointment for Saturday afternoon. Jeff called to let me know when he would be at my house and arrived on time. He inspected and diagnosed the unit and discovered a bad fan motor. He also inspected my aging furnace for any problems, gave me some advice and was done within an hour. He was quick, professional and easy to talk to. Jeff returned Monday afternoon to install the new motor and was done in about a hour and a half. After everything, he gave me a break on the price and it was about $150 less than I was anticipating. Glad to have a professional, local and knowledgeable HVAC company so close by. Highly recommended by this customer and will be calling them for all my future HVAC needs.

My HVAC needed a capacitor change on an urgent basis, Varton AFM was also booked through the week like the others, but still made time that very day to stop by and fix the issue. Post a week my HVAC broke down again, AFM again made it the very same day to fix my issue without any service charge, great job and highly recommended.

Omg i was on my way home from work when my kids told me there was no heat only cold air..i called at least 10 different numbers and came across AFM heating and cooling no answer then i received a call back..i explained to Jeff my problem he said it was too far so i continued calling around i then sent Jeff video of my furnace not realizing he said it was too far to travel he then said he could fix it and can come out now..i was soooo happy since the inside of my house was now at 59 degrees and getting lower with three small dogs and me and my two daughters..he came over figured out what was wrong and heat came out..i was soooo happy..if u need furnace work please call them..i was willing to pay any amount to get heat ...very reasonable..i will forever keep his business card..hopefully i wont need it..i would def recommend his company

Very very unprofessional they started the job on Monday & said that he would be back Tuesday at 10 am but didnt show no courtesy call. Then I placed a call to the office inquiring was he coming at 10:41 didnt hear anything called back at 12:41 they still dont know if he is coming finally got a call back at 330 telling me he wont be back to Thursday but dont know what time & when I asked why Thursday the reason was because he is busy. I will never use them again & going to write negative reviews every where I can post them. What ever happened to customer service?

Ive had this company out 3 times this year. Twice for the A/C unit this summer and once for the furnace (older units). These guys are fast, friendly and VERY reasonably priced. I submitted an online request on Sunday morning and someone called me back less than 10 minutes later! They came out the next day and fixed my furnace in less than 30 minutes and it didnt cost me an arm and a leg! The A/C - same thing. Less than an hour on each and not expensive at all! I cant recommend this company enough. Call them!!

I have used several HVAC companies in the past and none come close to the quality and professionalism of AFM Heating and Cooling. I have used them for almost two years now and feel confident in their work to recommend them to others.First, their prices are very reasonable. I have had both furnaces and water heaters installed and can assure you that I have paid prices that are below market value. How do I know? I have asked other people in the industry who have affirmed that I got a good deal. Moreover, I checked at Home Depot what it costs for a new water heater and they charged me less for it AND to install it. In other words, the water heater with installation by AFM is less than what a single water heater with no installation costs at a big box store.Second, they back their work up. In situations where something did not work, I simply call them up and someone has come up to take care of it without being charged for a service call.Third, they get out their as quickly as possible. On several occasions, I have called a specific day and someone has come out a few hours later. They have also scheduled me in advance and have come at that specific time without any problems.Fourth, they pull permits, follow code, and communicate with city inspectors for you. They also will contact the manufacturer on your behalf to order a new part if something malfunctions. This is important since it means they honor their work and hold themselves responsible. This is actually quite rare in the HVAC industry. It is also worth noting that they are licensed and insured, which is not always the case with a lot of HVAC people.Fifth, they have an office and keep records. They do not operate out of a van like 90% of HVAC people who disappear right after you pay them. They keep records of the work that they have done at your place and follow up with you. Additionally, the staff there is very accessible and prompt. I have communicated with them through phone, email, and even text message. They really do build their service around their customers needs.Anyway, unless you feel comfortable working on large mechanical devices like water heaters and furnaces that can potentially cause lots of damage and even kill you in the case of a furnace (i.e. carbon monoxide poisoning), I recommend using this company.Joe Abisaid, Ph.D.
