Professional firm from the sales to installation. Brian was the sales person and responsive during the process. Still have a “to do” left due to supply issues but I’m hopeful that they will complete the job with the line hides when available. Craig and Vincent were the installers and also professional and responsive. Clearly they knew what they were doing, tried to be careful when inside and explained well when I had questions. They outsourced the electrical to Webb Electric who were also very good and worked well with the Summit team. The area outside was left clean and I hope will last well into the future. So far happy with the A/c chosen, Mitsubishi, but it is early days. Fingers crossed. Overall very good experience with the firm.
Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience with Summit. Noticing there was a lot of cottonwood built up on my AC unit, I called Summit to ask how much to clean it. I was told $99.95 flat rate. When the person came here, they took it apart, cleaned it and then charged me $285. It was $100 to open and examine it. And $185 to clean it. Thats not what I was told on the phone. The technician was excellent and friendly.I also used Summit plumbing. The plumber was also good, but all the prices were very high. Ive since spoken to two local plumbers and was told the same thing. The work was good, but the prices were on the high side.Feeling unsatisfied, I didnt want to just leave a negative review. So first I wrote them an email to give them a chance to respond. I got an email right back saying: I have forwarded your email to our GM and someone will get back to you. Im still waiting.Edit: The Business Managers response is either not telling the truth or hes calling the wrong number. I have received zero responses to my complaint. They were successful in getting in touch with me up until now.
We are thrilled with the service and quality of work Summit gave us with our furnace and hot water install. Our dual furnace was almost 26-years old when one of the units stopped working, and with changes to code over the past two decades, our service team (Tanner and Robbie) had a good amount of work to do to bring it up to code, in addition to simply installing the units. Tanner and Robbie were polite, wore masks 100% of the time, and kept us informed every step of the way. We have used other heating companies to do repairs in the past with average results/service. We recommend Summit highly to anyone needing a new furnace or water heater.
We decided it was time to replace our 30 year old furnace a few weeks ago and reached out to 6 companies in the Denver area for quotes. Brian with Summit was the only one of the six that took the time to evaluate our heating and cooling needs. All the other companies were just going to replace the already oversized system with something even larger. We were on the fence when it came to replacing the old AC at the same time, but ultimately decided to do the whole system at once since we would likely be needing an AC replacement in the next couple of years anyway. Brian laid out our options, explained the work, set expectations for the duration and gave us an upfront, all-inclusive price. Summit was not the cheapest (or most expensive), but we had been down the low-bidder path on a system at another house and after the other company added up everything they ended up needing to do they were actually higher in the end. As for the install, we couldnt have been happier having Chris and Sal in our home. They were professional, knowledgeable, thorough, timely and respectful. We truly appreciate the time they took to do the job right the first time.Bottom line...If you have been down the road of a full system replacement in the past you know how important a professional, permitted installation is to the life of the system. If you have not, dont find out the hard way! Start to finish the team at Summit hit all the marks earning another FIVE STAR review!
If you are looking for a honest and dependable company I recommend Summit Heating and A/C. We decided to add a humidifier and replace our water heater. Tanner and Jacob arrived right on time. They were very nice, knowledgeable and professional. We asked them to replace a leaking water pipe that was not on their work order. They agreed to fix it for us. They were amazing!!! I couldnt be more pleased with their work. I highly recommend them.Thank you Tanner and Jacob!!!!!!!Steve and Carol
Based on the great reviews I read online for Summit Heating & A/C, I scheduled an appointment with them to inspect and tune my furnace. The service did not disappoint. Ben Andrews was the tech who came out, and he is a true professional who was great to work with. He was running ahead of schedule and gave me a heads up that he could arrive before our scheduled time which worked out great. While inspecting the furnace, he explained every step he was taking while checking/tuning/cleaning each component as I was curious of the process. I plan on using Summit for any future HVAC needs and would recommend them and their tech Ben to anyone.
I was fortunate to have your technician Ray come to my home and do some work! He performed two tasks for me and was excellent!I had him do work on both my air handler system and my boiler heating system. He was knowledgeable and efficient. He took the time to make sure I was aware of the work he was doing which made me very comfortable.I would recommend Summit Heating to anyone who wants a company that provides great technicians and a commitment to excellent service.Thank you Ray and Summit. Im very happy!!Bill
Hasnt been a month since installation of new A/C and furnace, the system shut down today and a week prior the installation didnt pass the city inspection.
I called Summit Heating on Sunday because my heater was not working properly and had a faint burnt odor to it. I was charged $ 179.95 to come out on a Sunday, and do a diagnostic, which I agreed to. After .25 hours I was charged another $30.00 for labor and $276.00 for FLAME SENSOR.Later that evening the heater went out again. Their diagnostics was to replace the Trane panel, furnace motor, and capacitor, and clean the glower and burners on a 15 year old unit. I feel I was over charged and the problem was not corrected. I also feel diagnostics was to make more repairs then were needed at this time. I will not do business with this company again and would not recommend them.Today is Tuesday and Summitt Heating did reach out to me by phone in an attempt to rectify the problem and cost previously described in this review. This is appreciated.
Thought our furnace went out overnight and Summit came out within 20mins of calling them. Luckily, I found that the thermostat switch was turned off. However, I still had Summit come out to inspect and service the furnace since we have not had that done in quite some time. Jake was our service rep and he was courteous and professional. Inspected, serviced and explained everything inside and out of our furnace. If you need any HVAC service, give them call.
Just got our new furnace installed today by Craig and Cody and they did a great job! I was impressed with how fast they got the work done considering we have a small crawl space. They also made sure they wore their masks which we appreciated since were in the middle of Covid-19. Thanks guys!
Summit replaced my old swamp cooler. For anyone seeking that service, I recommend the company and Tanner, in particular. Tanner is an excellent technician, whose work is careful and thorough. He patiently answered my questions and gave me a full explanation on operating the system. I was very happy with his work.
We were without heat, and because we have a more complicated heating system than a typical furnace we had multiple companies out that provided incorrect assessments of the problem, until Josh from Summit came out. He quickly identified the issue given his extensive knowledge, and fixed the problem. When we had another problem that was unrelated, he came out the same day as we called, quickly identified that and resolved it too.
Had them come fix an AC, they charged $389 to do the diagnostic and change a capacitor which was pretty overpriced but whatever. Then he tells me that the thermostat is bad and needs to be changed and he can install his most economical one which is a Honeywell T4 for $171. Honeywell T4 is $40 on Amazon. I understand an up charge for labor but 4x the price? Come on.
I just wanted to thank Josh and your company for providing prompt and excellent service! We woke up yesterday to no heat and no hot water. We have a boiler system and from past experience not every HVAC company works on them. I now had a difficult decision to make on whom to call. We didnt have a regular HVAC co to service our boiler. I was going to have to make a cold call and try a new co out. I actually had made a different appt with a different company that was in our area to come out today to work on our boiler. After running several errands yesterday, I checked my phone for messages, I had a message on my phone that the HVAC company was going to have to reschedule my appt. I called them at 6:05 pm and their offices were closed. The recording stated that their holiday office hrs were closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and Saturday the 26th was their first open day for a possible repair. I was desperate, we had no heat and no hot water. The thought we may not have anyone be able to repair this for us with the holidays upon us I started searching for another HVAC company. What honestly drew me to Summit was that at 6:20, I was actually speaking to a live person that was able to schedule an appt for today between 7:00 and 9:00 am. In fact, their website states they are open until 9:00 pm! Josh showed up promptly, assessed the problem, picked up the parts, installed them and tested the system and was done before 9:30 am. Thanks to your whole team, our boiler is up and running. Great customer service from your receptionist to your repair team! I couldnt be more grateful. Well done!
Excellent customer service and value for their services. I would highly recommend to anyone needing work on their heating and/or A/c system. Family owned local company you would be honored to support with Josh being a veteran.
Jamal and Tanner are the best. Professional, answered questions, explained in detail the installation and running the unit. Absolutely use Summit again and highly recommend themAgain, Tanner and Jamal you are professional, respectful and you guys have a great sense of humor.
I had issues with my furnace/AC and I called them and they were so much courteous and kept me updating about the tech about where he is and when he is going to arrive and he was right on time.Joshua Leech worked on the issue and he was very nice and a very good professional, he knows his subject very well and fixed my issues within very short time and I am happy about their services. they have a great team.
Josh at Summit Heating & Cooling continues to be most knowledgeable and a good communicator. After my move to CO this last summer and purchase of a condo, I contacted Summit for a furnace check. Josh gave me realistic and helpful information re my older furnace. I wanted to replace my thermostat and we went over pros and cons of several. His next visit was to install my new equipment. I live in a two floor unit and the thermostat has a sensor for both floors! This week I checked with him on best winter maintenance of my AC, and he provided useful specifics re what climate factors will let me know it is time to call him for a pre-season AC check. He clearly likes his work, and helping people.
Could not have asked for a better experience! From Mike who was detail oriented and found the best heating and cooling solution for our house, to Erin and Daniel who did an amazing job installing our new system, we were impressed from start to finish. Would highly recommend Summit!
I was very pleased with the service. MJ called before he arrived. He explained the repairs needed and answered my questions. My furnace is working again and the price was very fair. I will call Summit again and have already recommended them to my parents.
I had Summit out on 7/30/19. Charlie came out and helped me with my dilema. He came up with a good solution. He was fabulous. Im requesting him for fall servicing. Thanks Charlie for a great experience.
I had Summit come out for water heater tank flush. The tank was flushed with a hose connecting to the drain for the washer which was next to my water heater tank. I found out few days later that the washer drain hose was not replaced securely and it came loose, spilling water onto the floor. It took a long time to clean up water with sponge. I had to call another repair person to secure the drain hose and it cost me $85. I paid $99 for water heater tank flush. The Summit guy also forgot to turn the water heater gas switch on and I had to take a very lukewarm shower the next morning.09/04/2020 Update. I thought I would give Summit another try. I called and found out the new price for the same water heater tank flush is now $179, (I paid last year $99) for. Needless to say, I am calling another business. Please be aware of Summit Heating & A/C.
