We are members here for golf club and the food is always great! The restaurant seems to have ramped up service again after COVID and we had great food and service tonight.

The food was really good! And the staff was very friendly. Our server was very patient and talkative with my family (who ask a lot of questions and appreciated his excellent advice). The decor (lots of taxidermy and wood and golf photos) was maybe a tiny bit much, but certainly added to the lodge experience. And the food was fresh and well paired within each of our dishes. They had live music outside and good spacing inside. And their drinks menu was extensive, they had great mixed drinks (my moms vesper was excellent, as was my apple spiced mojito). Highly recommend for a fancy night out!

Its unfortunate that I have to write this negative review after my daughters beautiful wedding at Wilderness Ridge, but I want to warn others of their practice of serving shots when you have NOT authorized them on your contract. They will bill them as a regular drink, because they think pouring the shot over ice makes it a drink. The staff actually acknowledged this was done and charged to our account. We later verified with our guests this had happened all night, however, Wilderness Ridge would only credit us for 7 drinks because this is what their bartender admitted to. Beware...

We went here for someones wedding, and the place is really nice. There is a large deck in the back for people to hang out which was nice. Unfortunately, they messed up a lot of details for the wedding, and while we would not have known had someone not told us, when it is your wedding and details you agreed on it is still stressful. The wedding coordinator for this venue also never showed up, which was probably the biggest issue.

Wilderness Ridge is the perfect place to eat outdoors. They have a large patio overlooking the course and terrific food and service. I had the hickory burger with sweet potato waffle fries ($15) and it was cooked perfectly. The happy hour cocktails and bruschetta are also worth snagging!

Went there on a seniors golfing event. The course is challenging and beautifully maintained. There is a lot of new construction going on but wont come in to play on the course. Too bad it recently went private only.

Dinner was delicious and service great. Although the walleye was a stingy portion and I had to return my prime rib for further cooking (was raw). As we told them it was our 12th Anniversary, they gave us a lovely card and a wonderful dessert on the house: chocolate mousse with raspberry sauce (best part of dinner!). Beautiful venue! Will try again sometime next time were in town.

This is one of my favorite golf experiences in this state. This state is loaded with great public golf facilities, but this is a cut above the rest. Great golf holes. I am never disappointed when the round is over though, because I cant wait to head upstairs and eat at one of my favorite restaurants in town. Also some of the best golf instructors around. Course is usually in great condition! They sunk a lot of money into this place when it opened and it has paid off. Gotta check it out!

We had not dined here since New Years Eve due to my traveling, so . . . it was good to get back here a couple of Friday nights back. Enjoyed cocktails before our dinner. Megan, our server did a nice job of taking care of us! Food and service were outstanding! Thank you, Megan!

We have never had a good meal at Wilderness Ridge. My daughter had her wedding dinner there and the service was terrible. We live in Wilderness Ridge and hoped to enjoy the food and service. We will not be back. It is also VERY disappointing that the owners decided to make it the “newest private country club “. They better bump up their game because it is a far cry from the Lincoln Country Club.

Reservation made in advance for patio seating. When looking up the forecast for Saturday, saw lower than normal Temps. Asked & verified there would be heaters by the table. Asked a few times after arriving about the heaters & it wasnt until I asked the manager that he said they were out of propane. However, the entire party noticed they were able to pull 3 into service later on for what I assume were guests who visited more than we do. Service was slow, but cant blame server...too many tables to take care of. Drinks came out wrong, food took too long & when it did arrive, it was either wrong, cold or bland. They allow smoking on the patio. Not appetizing .

I did not eat at the restaurant, instead played the golf course, which was phenomenal. It is a private course, so all I can say is that the course is very challenging, and fun.

Such a beautiful and relaxing place to have breakfast ! Food was wonderful and reasonable priced. My boys loved the french toast with blueberry syrup.

I think if you have the option to visit here, you would be making a grave mistake to choose elsewhere. The staff is superb, the food is impressive and the atmosphere is wonderful.

I was invited to attend a small family gathering at the Wilderness Ridge Lodge Restaurant for my uncles 70th birthday. Being from Omaha I had never been here before and I was really impressed with the facilities, the wait staff, the menu, the quality of food, and the ambiance. It was a really really nice experience. Kudos to your chefs and your menu for being a wonderfully priced over all fantastic value for what was served. I truly enjoyed the experience.

There makes you feel like staying in a mountain lodge.

Lunch sandwiches were good, but overshadowing everything else was eating outside with lots of sun and little wind.

Very nice atmosphere, I loved the wood architecture and design. I got the Hickory cheese burger and sweet potato fries, and liked it. Bud light draw was 4.50 so that was ok. Wasnt too expensive but the service wasnt the best, kinda slow when not a lot of people there. Outside sitting was nice, you can see the golf course. Overall Id recommend it.

This place is a joke, it was 11 am on a sunday and they even wanted us to make reservations so we did. when we went there were 3 tables of people and thats it. Took atleast thirty minutes for simple breakfeast food… charged $2 extra for maple syrup for waffles, when the food arrived it was cold. Don’t think I will be back.

Food was cold, waited an hour to see any food, and the manager had a poor attitude after her employee mentioned we should ask for the manager. Not impressed!

This is the second year we have had our corporate holiday party here. Delicious food, great service! Highly recommended!

Exalant food,service and atmosphere

I have enjoyed every round at Wilderness Ridge. It is a very challenging course with Out of Bounds coming into play on almost every hole. The pro shop staff has always been very helpful. Overall a great experience if your looking for the feel of a private golf course without the same fees.

Great food, service and music!

Spent a beautiful warm afternoon eating lunch out on the deck. Steak sandwich was delicious, as was the Turkey wrap enjoyed by my husband. An appetizer of stuffed crimini mushrooms whetted the appetite for the entree to come. We ended our dining experience by sharing the Triple Chocolate Mousse dessert. It was a truly delightful experience!

Best salmon I ever ate! Wonderful ambiance! I also loved their bread and cheese appetizer, but the food was a little pricey. I will likely go there again regardless. I loved it.

The golf course is kept in excellent condition. Decent prices for greens fees and range balls. Beautiful clubhouse. I have not tried the food so I cannot comment on it.We recently played the executive course (called Talon). See photo. It was a beautiful walk and a quick 9 holes. We loved it in our time crunch.

Ambiance is quite nice...Sunday brunch has a great variety. That being said, there is no signature dish that I have found, most of the offerings are good but not remarkable.

American food... excellent. Food was so tasty. Ive had nothing but great experiences here and will keep coming back. It has a good interior.

Niece held her wedding and reception here. Beautiful setting for the wedding next to the small lake on the golf course. Good food and excellent service at the reception. Also had an excellent assortment of bourbons to choose from.

We went late and it probably would have been better before 1 o clock, but overall it was pretty disappointing. The deserts in particular were not fresh. Some nice poached salmon and British breakfast sausage... better in past years.

The service was a little slow. We had probably 20 people and only a few servers so I can see why, but the food was sub-par. My burger was over cooked and chewy. Overall, beautiful place, but eh food

Definitely not impressed. The steak was cooked perfectly however was essentially tasteless. The risotto? Disgusting!!! It was made more like fried rice. Not sure which is worse the person that made the risotto or the person that looked at the plate and decided it was fit to serve. When you go to a place like this the expectation is that you are going to get top notch food and service. Service was ok. Nothing that was better then any other restaurant in Lincoln and the food was not worth the price they charge for it. I think if they cut the price in half that would be more in line with the quality they serve. They are a long way away from fine dining however they are going to charge you for it. Very unfortunate

My experience with Wilderness Ridge is marked by frustration, anger and resentment. As the father of a bride, my daughter had made reservations for a reception, food and beverage for 250 people to be held on May 23. Due to the virus, the event was moved to August, but we could not get many relatives to attend for fear of becoming infected without a vaccine. Our only recourse, according to Wilderness Ridge management, was to move to a later date or cancel.Because we did not postpone the event further, we lost nearly $4000 ($1000 for room rental and $3000 for food and beverage). NO food was ordered much less served.Wilderness Ridge was the ONLY vendor that was inflexible due to the changes created by the virus. Every other vendor, The Venue, United Rentals, Jessica Blex Photography, Luxury Limousine, and others adjusted their costs to accommodate us, but not the Wilderness Ridge. We even asked for a food voucher so we could at least have a meal in their restaurant. We were advised that they could have charged us more.There is NO way I will ever patronize Wilderness Ridge again. It is apparent to me that their interest is hanging on to your money, even under the worst of circumstances.Be warned. What a sad thing to say about a business in Lincoln, NE where fair play is the norm, not the exception.P.S. If you decide to have an event, watch out for the “service fee” that they mention in their contract. You must ask them for the amount. The charge is 21 PERCENT for your room rental and for your food/beverage.

We’ve been dining for years at Wilderness Ridge, most days it’s fine. Today we were there for breakfast, and it was a miss, but I’m sure we’ll be back. Our food took almost 40 minutes, and arrived incomplete, missing hash browns. We were so hungry we ate anyway. Our server didn’t check back with us until we were done eating, so she took $4 off the bill to make up for the missing hash browns. Seriously? Not to debate the cost of hash browns, but you served only 2/3 of the meal and we are leaving hungry.

Wont be going back. We were looking forward to brunch because we had heard good things about it. We were disappointed almost from the moment we were seated. We were given no introduction to how to navigate the meal. Normally when you attend a high end brunch they let you know to either go ahead and fill your plate or wait for a server to take your drink order. So we waited and waited and waited. Finally I inquired to the first worker I could get attention from as to what we were supposed to do. He said he wasnt a server. At this point 20 minutes had passed. We still hadnt even had water brought to the table. We decided to go ahead and get some food. When we got back to our table we still didnt have our water glasses filled. I finally was able to get the attention of one of the servers and asked if we could get some water. He went to the back and a few minutes later someone came and filled our water glasses and took our drink order. The food was bland and cold. We didnt bother going back for a second trip to the buffet.

A nice place to eat. We made reservations online for an outdoor table to celebrate our anniversaryWhen we arrived, the hostess said they dont take reservations for outdoor seating. No one ever mentioned our anniversary even though my husband mentioned in the note of the online reservation. Food was good, risotto was a little dry. Overall an OK experience.

I went here to play in a band for a wedding and I thought this place was very cozy for the wedding. Nice decor. They had many rooms to choose from. The hall we were in can hold 200 people or a little more. Food was good. We had lobster tail and steak. The steaks were a little too well done, a little too dry and not tender as most people were complaining. The rest of the food was okay I thought. For entertainment they had a stage for the band but no built in sound system. They had to bring that in. There is a big patio outside of the hall good for outdoor parties overlooking the large mini golf course for some games and activities. Over all I would recommend booking this place for your next event.

We had our wedding here on NYE 2018. It was spectacular and that was partly due to the amazing venue, food, and staff. We worked with Isabel who was amazing to help us plan out our event and stay in contact with. We had so many compliments on our venue and its beauty. The food was also amazing and we did stations. Everyone was very impressed! Thank you Wilderness Ridge for helping make our day amazing!

Wilderness Ridge is a top spot in Nebraska for golf, drinks and dining. The magnificent log clubhouse is a Lincoln treasure. Youll feel like youre walking into a Rocky Mountain lodge.

Outstanding course. Easily one of the nicest courses Ive ever played. Very friendly people out playing. Pace was plenty fast at just under 4 hours for 18 holes.

Pretty course you probably dont want to walk it. There is some pretty long distances between green and tee box. Not crazy about the Friday pricing. Website said $25 for 9 and a cart. Ended up having to pay $41.00 for twilight with a cart and you can golf as many holes as you can. Kind of a RIP off if you ask me.

Played the executive 9 at 140 on Monday. No waiting and a beautiful day made for an excellent day of golf

My boyfriend and I went to Wilderness Ridge for the first time last night. The facility is very unique for the area and absolutely gorgeous. However, our dining experience was very underwhelming and a disappointment. Our server seemed put-out with us from the beginning, and through the entire meal. We ordered tempura calamari as an appetizer - which came out in a wire fry basket lined with red and white checkered paper you would expect from a county fair... not a Refined American eatery. I ordered the honey glazed salmon as my entrée. The sweet potato hash and vegetables were both cold, and both of those items as well as the salmon were quite bland. The salmon was also very uncharacteristically fishy. My boyfriend ordered a steak with a side of smoky cheddar mac and cheese and vegetables. He was also unimpressed with the vegetables, and mentioned the steak was fine but that he could order a better steak from a major chain restaurant. The mac and cheese was delicious and flavorful. We were literally the only ones in the restaurant until the last half our or so of our visit - and the service, food, and experience was overall very lacking. I wish we could say we would could say it was a great time and would be back (as it is a gorgeous venue) - but the setting just doesnt make up for their downfalls, especially when they are trying to market as a higher-end establishment.

My wife made reservations to come here for my birthday dinner and I did not have a great experience. The atmosphere was amazing and the bartender Jackson was very kind and friendly, but our server seemed very annoyed from the beginning.My wife and I order streaks and both came out wrong temperatures. Also, our soups came out with our meals. I still ate my steak but my wife sent her step back and it still came out wrong again. My wife does not like to complain so ate all the outside of the steak as much as she could and ate the side dishes that came with it. If there is ever a problem the server should always grab a manger and he did not. If Im paying 35+ $ for an entree I expect it to come out right. The server tried to solve the problem with a desert but that does not make up for the overall experience with the food and service we got.

New menu thats been in place for 2 weeks was to blame for dark meat chicken being served instead of white meat which was specifically asked for. Short ribs couldnt be cut with even a steak knife they were so tough. Cheesecake was very sour and had a strange texture and flavor. Service was lacking and not because they were busy. Manager was nice. We were not the only table with issues. At least 4 other tables around us had issues and items were taken off their check. Might go back for happy hour apps but never again for a meal. Ive mentioned this to several people who have told me their similar stories. Not sure how they stay in business.

The unique rustic atmosphere and the general quality of the food is the draw here. An excellent finer dining destination for a young family or as a romantic getaway. Though the duck and pheasant where nondescript in their flavor profile the mushroom ravioli was an incredibly successful concatenation of ingredients. The menu choices offered many interesting dishes in each category with the brussel sprout appetizer being particularly delicious. Recognizing that no establishment is 100% spot on, this destination reaches high up to that mark. Excellent service at all levels.
